Resource account password set during User Update process.

Hi friends,
I added to the Update WF a step to initialize an account password when, during the update of the user, IDM creates the new resource account.
This is an initial password (known).
This event basically happens in two User's Update cases:
A. when the account was (accidentally) removed from the resource
B. when a new Role requires to add a new resource account to the user
In both cases IDM (re)creates the user account on the resource.
In order to set this account initial password, I check (in the Update WF) the value of 'user.update.toCreate': if it contains the resource name, then I set the pw after the account has been provisioned.
This method fails during case B. only when, for some reason, the resource account already exists BEFORE the update starts: even if the account is already there, IDM sets 'user.update.toCreate', leading my step to reset the account password to the initial value.
What could I check in order to avoid it? (I don't want to reset account passwords when linking existing accounts)
The only way I see at the moment would be to query the resource at the beginning of the Update WF to check if the account is already there...

When you are done with this issue, consider the computer back at the office may still
have access to your iTunes account, and it should be de-auhorized. You can do that
remotely, but be sure you carefully do not mess up your other computer iTunes libraries.

I purchased ringtones , i can't find them after unplugging the usb during a update process. How do i get them back ?

During a update process , someone called me. So i unplugged the IPhone 4 to answer it. I put the Iphone back on to the usb and continued syncing and updating. Someone called me again. Instead of hearing my usual ringtone i heard the marimba play. I went to go change my settings to my ringtone that i had but it wasn't their. I tried purchasing the same ringtone but it says that I already purchased it but i can't see it anywhere. Its not on my Itunes either. help! can i claim them back through my apple id?

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.

Resource account attribute names during reconciliation

Hi,
I need to set some attributes when creating the IDM user during initial reconcilation from an LDAP resource. I understand only the waseset and LDAP user attributes are available during the reconciliation. Does anyone know how to refer to the resource account attributes?
I tried to put this in my proxyuser form:

I found out the problem was caused by not setting thel user password in the resource parameters page.
I set up a temporay form and debugged the attributes from the Active Directory. Somehow, the password has already been populated with a (random) value. To be sure, I'll use your suggestion to generate a temporary password to ensure it conforms to my own Password Policy :

There's a error occured during the updating process

when the updating process goes to the "calculating the required diskspace" step, there's a error occured saying "Could not access network location /startup" and then the updating process was suspended.
this problem also occured during the unistallation process.
P. S. there's only one solution about this problem, which is to delete the information of excrescent version of MS OFFICE, but this isn't working.
So if anyone konws how to solve this problem please let me know. this borthers me for a long time.

Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

CUP 5.3: Has anyone set-up user deletion process that works through CUA?

I wonder if anyone has managed to set-up a user account deletion process that works through CUA?
We can't get CUP to delete the system assignment in CUA before the back-end account is deleted.
Any kind of advice or information regarding this problem would be appreciated.

We have 2 approvers for each role. We defined in the Role Approver Stage that it be routed to the alternate approver should the main approver not respond in the next 3 days (via Forward to Alternate Approver). Bear in mind, once it is escalated to the alternate approver, the main approver will not be able to view/approve the request anymore. If the alternate approver does not approve/reject the request, the request will be left as is.
In our case, we have used the functionality in CUP to pre-define the alternate approver rather than in your case, you would want to only escalate it as and when your Security Admin decides to. I believe if your Security Admin staff has admin rights in CUP, they are able to forward it to another approver via the Administrator tab. Else you can create a new stage to foward to your admin staff if it is not action upon.

HT4623 Why does my iphone say "Activation Error" during the updating process?

You cannot install the previous version. "Activaton error" usually means that the phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it from the carrier it was locked to. It is now locked again to that carrier.

A power cut of during the updating process occured

During the process of last atuallization of Leopard 10.5.6 the power shut of occured.
I cannot start up the computer since then. A message appears inside the black square into the blue screen . It instruct me to "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the restart button"
But I did this and it didn't work.the message appears again and again.
What can I do about this?

See if you can boot in the safe mode. Hold down shift on boot. At login screen click restart.

Assigning Multiple Resource Accounts to IdM User Account in IdM 7.0

Has anyone tried assigning multiple resource accounts to a IdM User with IdM 7.0 by creating a Account type using Identity Rules. I tested it on Simulated Resource and it works fine. But for Active Directory, which has personal accounts and Admin accounts on different OU on AD, when I am trying to do the Bulk Upload. The bulk upload is able to do link up the Admin account on AD to user account. But then it tries to create an additional account as well even though the user that executed the Bulk action has a Blank form assigned. Has anyone been able to figure this out yet ? If yes, can you please provide some inputs on this ?

RG1 Register Updation Process URGENT

Dear All,
During the updation process for Excise Invoices, how does the system differentiate between an export shipment and Domestic shipment.
In the J1I5 transaction code there is a field called classification where we have
IDH : Removal from factory on payment of duty for home use
IDE: Removal from factory without payment of duty for export under bond
What i want to know is how the system distinguishes between documents that belong to IDH transaction and documents that belong to IDE transaction. are there any settings required for that.
Because when i select the IDH transaction the system is also selecting export documents. what can be the reason for the same.

You can also check what date the data was last extracted.

Win 7 PC freeze and block network access for other PC on same switch during windows update from WSUS

Hello,
It's been a problem for me for a long time now, but the last time (today) I found 3 PC on 2 different switches that block all the network on this 2 switches during the update.
I have a Domain with 80 PC with Win 7 (32&64bit) that takes the updates from the WSUS server that is configured on a Win2k8 r2. The system works well from 2 years from now but sometimes cause this errors that make me look like a dummy in front of angry
employees. If one of the PC get freeze , it will cause lost of connection on all the PC on same switch, and i have to find the blocked PC, remove from network, restart switch and hope that they will came back on.
Does anyone experienced this problem? Any help will be appreciated

The interest fact is that on one PC, I changed everything and keep only the old HDD and on last updates yesterday it was one of the blocked one too. So this make
me doubt that is something wrong in software on that PC. I don't have any third-part programs except browsers and all have Genuine Win7
The only investigation remained is what happens during the update process?
Is WSUS involved in something?
And another thing is the fact that some of the PC are cloned, but I have carefully changed the SID

Missing iPhone backup in iTunes from iOS5 update. What happens to the backup files from the update process?

My PC had a BSOD while restoring my data. After I restarted, opened iTunes, and connected my phone, the restore did not resume. (I have seen the restore process resume after an interruption.) I tried to manually restore the data, but iTunes does not list the backup that was taken during the update process. Is this backup stored in a different location or format? Is there a way I can get my data back? I tried an extraction tool from the web and it didn't detect the backup from the update.

Same with me; I only found one backup dating back from august; tried that and works fine. But missing all my pics/vids in between. I have been searching my pc for files that were created on the day of the OS upgrade, but could not figure out any backups...
Any help?

Iphone froze during iOS update

My iPhone 4s froze up the other day. I was installing the newest iOS update. It starts with the apple logo and then a progress bar starts to build underneath it not long after that starts it switches to a loading wheel that freezes up until it starts the process all over again. I tried both holding the power button and the soft reset which both just start this same process over again. I tried connecting to my MacBook but it says I need to verify on the phone that I want to connect to iTunes, which I can't do because I get nothing on the screen besides what I already described. Any suggestions? Thank You.
