Resource from URL

Hi!
I would like to accomplish something like this:
InputStream in = request.getRequestDispatcher("foo.xml").getInputStream();
Document doc = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance().newDocumentBuilder().parse(in);The code above is not possible, but how could I accomplish it? I simply want an inputstream from a url (local).

I use this:new File(getServletContext().getRealPath(fileName))This works if the file is in the root of my web application. You can then wrap a FileInputStream around that.

OSB - Load Resources From URL using proxy

Hi all,
How does one force the OSB to use a proxy server when using the Load Resources From URL option?
I'm trying to create a wsdl resource from an url, but the OSB needs to use a proxy to access the url.
I've tried creating a Proxy Server under System Administration -> Global Resources -> Proxy Servers, but I can't seem to find a place to make it use a proxy server?
How do guys and gals get wsdl files though a proxy?

I tried setting -Dhttp.proxyHost=12.34.56.78 -Dhttp.proxyPort=80 in the startWebLogic.cmd file under the ...\domain\bin folder. But still can't download the wsdl.

Create Resource from URL (WSDL) through corporate proxy?

In OSB I Create a Resource from a URL (WSDL) but I get a "No resource found".
Im using this service to test...
http://webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx?WSDL
I suspect its because it needs to route though our corporate proxy. Do I set this up in the OSB or the Weblogic Administration Console?
I setup the proxy in the OSB, but it appears I can only assign it to a business service at this point, but I cant create my business service till I load in the WSDL url.
This works fine for internal WSDL's inside our network. Does anyone know how to configure weblogic or osb to take traffic through a corporate proxy so it can find the test wsdl on an external network?

In SB Console go to System Administration > Global Resources > Proxy Servers... Add a new proxy server there...
In your Business Service you configure the proxy server under Advanced HTTP Transport Configuration...
You can create the WSDL on SB Console by copy and pasting the WSDL content...

Failed to read wsdl file from url

Hi all,
I am struggling with WL 9.2, consuming a WSRP enabled portlet at the following point:
Having created a proxy portlet, refering to the WSDL of the WSRP producer, I did successfully deploy the portal. When accessing the portal and consuming the portlet the following exception is thrown:
com.bea.wsrp.faults.TransportException: Failed to read wsdl file from url due to -- java.net.ConnectException: Tried all: '8' addresses, but could not connect over HTTP to server: 'www.w3.org', port: '80';
The WSDL includes a schema (http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema). The URL is definetely accessible by the server.

Yes, they are all local schemas. The way ALSB works, even if the import path in the wsdl or parent schema doesn't exist, relative to the current directory, you can specify which schema resolves that reference. My WSDL imports several schemas, all of which import others. When I was done importing all the schemas and resolving references, all the references in WSDLs and XSDs were assigned and valid. However, after all of those imports and reference resolution, it still says the WSDL is invalid, with the following odd error message:
The WSDL is not semantically valid: Failed to read wsdl file from url due to -- java.net.MalformedURLException: no protocol: /XMLSchema/PaymentServices/Resources/PaymentServices-200802.
That path listed refers to one of the schemas imported by the WSDL. The reference to that schema in the WSDL was resolved, and it doesn't complain about that reference.

Exclude a Resource from scope of control of a Admin role??????

I need to exclude a resource from the scope of ADMINROLE for a particular form. This i m able to achive by Admin role form. but i need to do this in backed .(not through that form). I am able to create Admin Role in a workflow .I m even able to addign controlled Sub organisatons,member organisations,capabilities.But can anyone tell me how to limit the scope of control of a Resource of a particular organisation under his control.i.e Exclude or Include Resources for this child organisation from a workflow.
Any help will be highly appriciated.......

My wording may have been confusing. But I thought "which contains this applet" and "from where the applet originated" referred to the same thing.This is not the first time I have discovered JavaDocs that are misleading.
I generally don't work with the applet tag when I do develop applets as the tag has been deprecated for a number of years.Same difference with <object> (or <embed>). The codebase is the codebase, not the directory of any Jar (necessarily).
Think about it this way. An applet loads one Jar from my site, one Jar from yours, and another from any other site. What is the codebase then? (Answer: the codebase defined in the applet element.)
*OTOH it is quite typical to have the codebase point to the single directory that contains all the applet Jars - so often that advice is true. But the devil is in the details.*

character '/' , ex.

I thought of that, but it's not applicable here because getResource is being called on the ClassLoader, not the Class.

Deployments of new versions of applications are submitted by an automated script.

Delete the <domain>\servers\s40beaportacc1p9106\data\ldap directory on the managed servers and restart

The goal is to be able to deploy our application by automation.

You must use not the original bean that you coded. You must use the bean generated by axis-wsdl2java.
The bean generated by axis-wsdl2java is:
- in the first beanMapping: MSPCSService.SMSMO
- in the second beanMapping: MSPCSService.SMSMOResponse
As you can see, the bean the axis-wsdl2java will generate is build with the namespace + "." + qname. If you use an domain like java.sun.com in namespace, then the package name you will use is inverted (in the sample, com.sun.java). Look at the code generated.
You client must use this beans, not the original coded by you.
This must work, worked for me :)

Access resource from other application using JAAS

i use JAAS for autenticate and autorizate in my web application, but i need access a resource from the other application , but this application don�t use JAAS.
How can i acces this resource from other application?
i know need send the parameters JSESSIONID, but , always redirecto the login page.

your signon url is consists of the following url http://server.domain.com:port/site/signon.html
Can you ping server.domain.com from your client?
If you can ping it, then make sure your port is added as a rule in the firewall of the server.
Also make sure that the proxy setting of the client have an exception to server.domain.com.
If you cannot ping it, make sure the server and the client are conneted to the same network and make sure the hosts file on the client reflects the ipaddress and the hostname of the server.

          Application "Common" contains headers, footers and resources that I want to include
          in other apps. How should I formulate URL in include page directive to do that
          App Common has structure:
          Common
          /header.html
          /footer.html
          and App Custom has an jsp page
          /demo.jps
          and demo.jsp looks like
          <%@ include file="../Common/header.html" %>
          ... my content ...
          <%@ include file="../Common/footer.html" %>
          Is it possible to move outside of app (Servlet) context ?

That is illegal. Include refers to a resource from the current application.
          Instead, use a URL to the resource and suck in its contents and write them
          to the response. You can create a simple tag with the resource url as the
          parameter thta does just that. Suggestion: using caching liberally for
          static resources.

Can not read data from URL!

I got the same fault ("response does not start with HTTP it starts with: ICY") when I tried to open an HttpConnection as bellow:

Hi, I might need your help with code that Content Query under <xsl:Template...> that I need a filter for 3 parameter from url (from date, to date(for date range) and type.

If you want to filter a Content Query Web Part with the parameters from URL, we can achieve it with OOTB of Content Query Web Part by adding "Additional Filters" in "Web Part Properties"->"Query". We can add
three filters like:
date is greater than [PageQueryString:DateFrom]
And
date is less than [PageQueryString:DateTo]
And
type is equal to [PageQueryString:Type]
Then redirect to the URL: www.mywebsite.com/pages/Filter.aspx?DateFrom=01/01/2012&DateTo=01/01/2013&Type=sports, the query results will be filtered.

How to display a dynamic image file from url?

Hey,I want to display a dynamic image file from url in applet.For example,a jpg file which from one video camera server,store one frame pictur for ever.My java file looks like here:

I only get the first frame picture for ever by my html.But the jpg file is dynamic.
Why?

Add this line inside your run() method, right before your call to repaint():

How to play .wav file from URL in web browser embed

Hi;
I want to play a .wav sound file in embed default media player in IE. Sound file is on some HTTP location. I am unable to sound it in that player.
Following is the code.

I don't know why I am unable to play file from HTTP. And why it plays well from local hard disk.
