    Hi Anand,
    In order to solve this, ensure you have maintained the  correct password, which MUST be the same, for all the service user on XI and ensure it has eight (8) characters in length.
    You may check all the places it should be maintained, such as Exchange Profile, SU01, SLDAPICUST, etc..
    Check the note below:
    #999962 - PI 7.10: Change passwords of PI service users
    Also ensure that the user has the correct role as per link below:

  • Error consuming Web service - content type text/xml;charset=utf-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding

    Hi all,
    We are trying to interact with Documentum server through DFS exposed WCF which communicates through port 9443 and we are provided with documentum issued Public Key certificates. We have successfully imported the certificates in client machine and configured
    the bindings as below in our .Net web application config file.
    <system.serviceModel>
    <bindings>
    <wsHttpBinding>
    <binding
    name="ObjectServicePortBinding1">
    <security
    mode="Transport">
    <transport
    clientCredentialType="None"
    proxyCredentialType="None"
    realm=""
    />
    <message
    clientCredentialType="Certificate"
    algorithmSuite="Default"
    />
    </security>
    </binding>
    <binding
    name="QueryServicePortBinding">
    <security
    mode="Transport">
    <transport
    clientCredentialType="None"
    proxyCredentialType="None"
    realm=""
    />
    <message
    clientCredentialType="Certificate"
    algorithmSuite="Default"
    />
    </security>
    </binding>
    </wsHttpBinding>
    </bindings>
    Also, we set the message encoding as MTOM and the wcf client object initialization code snippet is as below,
    ObjectServicePortClient
    serviceClient = new
    ObjectServicePortClient(new
    WSHttpBinding("ObjectServicePortBinding1"),
    new
    EndpointAddress(UriUtil.ObjectServiceUri));
    if (serviceClient.Endpoint.Binding
    is
    WSHttpBinding)
       WSHttpBinding
    wsBinding = serviceClient.Endpoint.Binding as
    WSHttpBinding;
    wsBinding.MessageEncoding =
    "MTOM".Equals(transferMode) ?
    WSMessageEncoding.Mtom :
    WSMessageEncoding.Text;
    serviceClient.Endpoint.Behaviors.Add(new
    ServiceContextBehavior(Config.RepositoryName,
    Config.DocumentumUserName,
    Config.DocumentumPassword));
    When we execute the above code, we are getting error message as below,
    Exception: The content type text/xml;charset=utf-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (multipart/related; type="application/xop+xml"). If using a custom encoder, be sure that the IsContentTypeSupported
    method is implemented properly. The first 407 bytes of the response were: '<?xml version="1.0" ?><S:Envelope xmlns:S="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><S:Body><S:Fault xmlns:ns4="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope"><faultcode>S:VersionMismatch</faultcode><faultstring>Couldn't
    create SOAP message. Expecting Envelope in namespace http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/, but got http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope </faultstring></S:Fault></S:Body></S:Envelope>'
    Then, we changed the bindings as below
    <system.serviceModel>
    <bindings>
    <wsHttpBinding>
    <binding
    name="ObjectServicePortBinding1">
    <security
    mode="Transport">
    <transport
    clientCredentialType="Certificate"
    proxyCredentialType="None"
    realm=""
    />
    <message
    clientCredentialType="Certificate"
    algorithmSuite="Default"
    />
    </security>
    </binding>
    <binding
    name="QueryServicePortBinding">
    <security
    mode="Transport">
    <transport
    clientCredentialType="
    Certificate"
    proxyCredentialType="None"
    realm=""
    />
    <message
    clientCredentialType="Certificate"
    algorithmSuite="Default"
    />
    </security>
    </binding>
    </wsHttpBinding>
    </bindings>
    We are getting another error message,
    Exception: The client certificate is not provided. Specify a client certificate in ClientCredentials.
    Any pointers on resolving this issue would be highly helpful.
    Thanks

    Hi Dhanasegaran,
      As per your case, the corresponding details which may guide you to resolve this issue:
    1. First of all, you can try to call the wcf service directly from the browser & check where it will point out the correct location.
    2. In config file ,Set IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults to true to enable exception information to flow to clients for debugging purposes .
    Set this to true only during development to troubleshoot a service like below :
    <serviceBehaviors>
      <behavior name="metadataAndDebugEnabled">
        <serviceDebug
          includeExceptionDetailInFaults="true"
    />
        <serviceMetadata
          httpGetEnabled="true"
          httpGetUrl=""
    />
      </behavior>
    </serviceBehaviors>
    3. I suggest you to change that <security mode ="TransportWithMessageCredential"> instead of <security mode ="Transport">

  • In Synch comm, what happens to response message if sender fails?

    Hi All,
    I have came up with the following question:
    I have a synchronous scenario type: WS -> PI -> Proxy.
    Lets say that the external system is able to consume the Web Service, and send the data to PI, and from there to the SAP ERP.  SAP ERP starts processing the message (calling function, BAPIs, etc). During that execution the external system for some how cuts its connection (session) to the WS that PI is exposing.
    What will happen then?
    In SAP ERP I will have some processes that were executed, the response message will be sent back to PI, but not to the legacy system.  So the data will not be consistent, as ERP was able to perform its process but the Legacy system will never know that these were done, so I will have an unbalanced scenario.
    One of my questions is, will SAP ERP know that the connection between the legacy system and PI was cut, and there for ERP will stop, cancel or not perform its processes?
    If the response message was sent back to PI by the ERP, but this message could not reach the legacy system. How can we let know the legacy system that ERP did all of its processes and that it should "update" their data according to the response message sent by ERP?
    As we all know, we can not re-process a synchronous message. So, what will be the best way to mantaining the consistency of the DATA between the two systems (ERP - Legacy)?
    Thanks and regards,
    Felipe

    One of my questions is, will SAP ERP know that the connection between the legacy system and
    PI was cut, and there for ERP will stop, cancel or not perform its processes?
    There is a possibility of triggering an alert when your Target system is down (i suppose this is what you mean when you say connection is cut)....the udf can be implemented in a mapping.....just check the blog:
    /people/bhavesh.kantilal/blog/2006/07/25/triggering-xi-alerts-from-a-user-defined-function
    from the blog:
    We can use this code in the Exception Handler block of the try u2013 catch block of the code to
    publish the JMS message, and, whenever the JMS service was down, the Exception handler block is
    called and the Alert is triggered to the Operations Support team.
    check if this suits your requirement
    Regards,
    Abhishek.

  • Response message error in queue when using ABAP proxy

    I am using an abap proxy for the first time, and some of the response messages are getting stuck in the sender's (R/3) inbound queue.  To resolve them, I have to either reset the status or execute the LUW.  Sometimes, this doesn't even work.
    Here is my "asynchronous" scenario:
    R/3 -> <proxy> -> PI -> <file adapter> -> File
    The R/3 system that I'm using has not used PI before, so I'm thinking something is missing from the set-up on the R/3 side.  On the errors I finally do get to process, I get the following error in the SXMB_MONI on the sender (R/3) side (the PI SXMB_MONI shows successful).  Can someone help me understand what a response message is and how it is different from an acknowledgement?  Also, help me to understand what could be causing the response messages to get stuck in the R/3 queue.

    Ultimate testing tool for services is soapUI (Freeware)
    http://www.soapui.org/
    If you can invoke your service from soapUI and you receive a response, then PeopleSoft is working fine and the request handling in the calling system is incorrect.
    Try downloading soapUI and try invoking your service (not that a fan of SendMaster).

    What I can see is that PI seems to ignore the multiref tag in the SOAP response message. Does anybody knows if there is an issue with the mutiref tag in PI ?
    Thanks for your help.

    The SOAP adapter does not support more than one body child.
    If a SOAP message with several body childs arrive, then only the first body child is considered, all other body childs are ignored.

  • Response Message Namespace Resolution

    I'm working on an application that creates xml messages from wsdls and then sends them out and picks up the response (like a basic web service). I've encountered a problem with the resoultion of namespaces on the parts of the response message of an operation and I can't decide which is the correct namespace to apply to the xml element that is created by the output message. Below is an example and explanation of the problem.
    The WSDL came form XMethods and is called send email. I've included at the end.
    Using this WSDL in Xmethods, an exmaple input message that is created is
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:mrns0="http://www.abysal.com/Abysal-webDTP" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <soap:Body soap:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
    <mrns0:SendEmail>
    <From xsi:type="xs:string"/>
    <FromAddress xsi:type="xs:string">[email protected]</FromAddress>
    <To xsi:type="xs:string"/>
    <ToAddress xsi:type="xs:string">[email protected]</ToAddress>
    <Subject xsi:type="xs:string"/>
    <MsgBody xsi:type="xs:string"/>
    <Acknowledgement xsi:type="xs:string"/>
    <Priority xsi:type="xs:string"/>
    </mrns0:SendEmail>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    The thing to note is that none of the parts have a namespace declaration (ie the FromAddress etc) and the root level does (ie the mrns0:sendEmail).
    Now the response message comes back as
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1' ?>
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/' SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/'>
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    <SendEmailResponse xmlns="http://www.abysal.com/Abysal-webDTP">
    <ReturnCode>0</ReturnCode>
    </SendEmailResponse></SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    With this response message the Part message "ReturnCode" has the same namespace as the Operation message "SendEmailResponse". This is a different approach to the request message.
    What I can't work out from the wsdl definition is what determines the namespace that is applied to the parts of the request and response and why the namespace for those parts differs between the request and the reply message. If both the request and reply messages adhered to the target namespace then that would be fine but it seems like the request doesn't and hte response does. Maybe theres is some standard practice that I am unaware of.
    Thanks for reading this far.
    Here is the wsdl.

    Hello,
    I experienced the same problem after I updated to SAAJ 1.2
    after days of debugging I found that it is caused by Xalan and not by
    the SAAJ. here is a reference to the bug description http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4966232.html
    now I upgraded to Xalan 2.6.0 and the problem is gone.
    only confusing thing is, that the combination SAAJ 1.1 + Xalan 2.5 works just fine.

  • How to send response message from Java mapping class? Please help!

    Hi Experts,
      I have a sync scenario
              -Req-->  -
    >
    SOAP           XI       RFC
              <Res--     <-----
      The Req message contains:
      <Order>
           <Orderid>100</Orderid>
           <Desc>Extrenal Order</Desc>
           <Qty>2500</Qty>
      </Order>
      Response message is:
      <Log>
         <LogTxt>Qty value cannot be more than 3 chars</LogTxt>
      </Log>
      In the XI I have to validate the input request message using a schema. For this I am writing a java mapping program using aii_map_api.jar.
    My requirement is that If the input message schema validation fails then I want to send a response message back to sender.
      How can I send a response message back to the sender in java mapping program?
    Kindly help with sample code example.
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi,
    First, I think PI 7.1 has this functionality and perhaps it comes in a SP for PI 7.0 and XI 3.0.  So first have a look at that before creating custom development.
    Second, if you use the java mapping, you will only have access to a request or response message.  I would advise using a custom java module in the module processor and insert this message in the sender communication channel.  This will allow you to validate request and send a response.

    Yaghya

  • No response message from web cache

    Hi,
    We are facing a strange and serious problem with our Oracle infrastructure. We have running a web application that uploads files to the database server. But we have found out that if we try to upload a ZIP file (in the application, uploading a ZIP file means that it uncompresses the ZIP file and copy the zipped files one by one to the database server, therefore this operation can take a while), it comes an error message of the type:
    No Response from Application Web Server
    We didn't find any especial configuration for a timeout in the application server and http server. We also checked the timeout for the web cache that we also use, and seems to be alright (very much longer that the time to crash). When using the application without going through the Web Cache (calling directly the application server), it works well!!! On the other hand, we thought in a relation between the size of the files and the effort of the application to process them and the "No response", but we have successfully uploaded other documents bigger than the ZIP file. When checking the LOG files of the Web Cache and the Apache and application server, we find the following:

    Could it be that the Web Cache sent a request to the application server and because of an unknown reason, it received a response that made it to show the "No response" message. Or could it be that the Web Cache is sending request and not receiving any response from the application server, or that there is some timeout configuration that we didn't find??? Please, help!!!!
    Thanks in advance,
    Luis

    We found the core issues was with the number of database connections that were created during load testing. Refactoring the code to reuse the database connections fixed this issue.
    Thanks,

  • TemporaryQueue communication - Request/Response messaging in JMS

    Not able to make simple JMS application with the following steps run
    Start the Server
    Start the Client
    The Client creates a temporary queue and sends the name to the server
    Server receives message and sends a test message back.
    Client NEVER receives the test message
    Can someone provide me appropriate sample example in this regard. Using "oc4j_extended_101320"

    You created a transacted session on the server, and then never committed the transaction. Since the transaction was not committed before the session was closed, it is automatically rolled back as per the JMS spec. Either call commit on the session or use a non-transacted session (e.g., use session-creation paramters of "false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE").

  • Receive HTTP Response Message

    I set up a HTTP Receiver Adapter and successfully sent a message to a http destination. The problem is, I can't find the Response Message from the HTTP destination. Where can I find it, and how can i handle it?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    HTTP Receiver channel will send always send you (XI) a response code back. 200 in case of success. Based on the response from Http you can send your response back to your Source System.
    Btw I'll suggest you to go for SOAP Receiver Adpater instead of htp receiver, as http receiver adapter doesn't support Network Proxy in channel configuration.
    Let me know if you need any more inputs on this.
    Reward points if answer is useful
    Thanks

  • HTTP Synchronous Response Message

    hi,
    I am getting the following response message in the SXMB_MONI.
    <?xml version="1.0" ?>
      <!DOCTYPE cXML (View Source for full doctype...)>
    - <cXML version="1.1.009" payloadID="20060517092932992.5555CCLyVQDdasNetXE0B+Yy5OeXUHc=443-71.c0a81cb9f70d2c060000180f@wmqa3" timestamp="2006-05-17T09:29:32-CDT">
    - <Response>
      <Status code="500" text="Error">The document received is not a cXML request or is unknown by the AribaSupplier OnRamp package.</Status>
      </Response>
      </cXML>
    To capture this error message as Response message what message types need to be defined/configured?
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Dirk -
    I am currently using Integration Process.
    I am capturing system messages through an Exception error handler in the block step of Integration Processes.
    When i execute the scenario, i see an error in the workflow in the Block Step. It shows an Error which says "No Exception Defined for System Errors", though i have a Exception Branch in the Block step.
    Any clues why i am not able to capture the Exception errors and send it through email.
    Its failing at the Block step.
    More details on the scenario:
    1. Start
    2. Receive Step - Asynch - IDOC
    3. Block Step - with Exception name as "TimeOut"
    3.1 Exception Branch with exception handler as "Timeout"
    3.1.1 - Transform Step - to transform a Exception message(with just one field) to "Error" message (with 5 fields)
    3.1.2 - Send Step - send the "Error" message through email
    3.2 Deadline branch set to 1 minute
    3.3 Switch step
    3.3.1 Transformation step - to transform the IDOC to XML
    3.3.2 Send step - Synch - request xml and response xml defined in this step
    4. Switch Step
    4.1 - Transform step - transforms the idoc and xml response to the actual error
    4.2 - Send Step - sends the actual error to the email message using MAIL adapter.
    Any tips would be grateful.
    Thanks,
    Tirumal
