Responsibilities in Rules

Hi,
I would like to maintain the rule crm_dno_1. I insert an agent assignment (organizational unit). All business partners from ppoma_crm are assigned but the names are not shown.
Any ideas why the names are not shown?
Regards
Bjoern

Hi Bjoern,
You're right but it should work anyway... It's a known problem.

  • How do I determine the correct sales org for the employee?

    Hi
The requirement here is to determine the correct sales org for the employee logged in when creating an activity (a customer visit). We know that all employees will belong to one sales org.
On this basis, in the organisational data determination I have maintained the organisational data profile Z0001 with the Organisational Model Determination Rule: 10000162 (employees for responsible org. unit). I have left the Responsibilities Determination Rule empty. I am not sure if both have to be filled. Can anyone explain the difference between the two?
I have checked the sales organisation and distribution channel. This is for the sales scenario.
I simulated this rule in Maintain Determination Rules. I entered the Sales Org and no agents (employees) were found.
The org data profile Z0001 has been assigned to the transaction.
The Object Permitted in Determination has been checked for the sales scenario in the Organisational Model.
    Regards
    Declan

    Hi PePe
I made the change and it worked as I wanted it. Thanks a lot.
You say there's no need to Maintain the Responsibilities Rule. Can I ask what this section does and why it can be one or the other?

  • Sales Organisation could not be auto determined

    Hi Everyone
I have created an org model and assigned a R/3 Sales org
    Created an Organisation in BP.
Assigned a Contact person and Employee to The Org BP
I have assigned the Employee to my Org
When I Enter my Org BP in Identify Account in IC Web and confirm the account, I go to Interaction Record screen from there i get the error " Enter a Sales Organisation"
Any inputs as to how i can build the auto determination functionality for Sales Org
    TIA
    - Asad

    Hello Asad,
Go to the organizational model and check the organizational unit that you assigned as a sales org and double click on it.
In the details screen you see 4 tabs, open the 'Attributes' tab. Select 'Sales' as scenario and make sure that 'Obj. permitted in determination' is flagged when the scenario is sales. (don't forget to change the scenario, the checkbox is dependent on the scenario, this might be confusing!) Setting this flag allows the Organizational Data Profile to determine this org unit.
Furthermore I suppose that you have created a Organizational Data Profile containing a rule of the type 'Organizational model determination rule', if you have a rule of the type 'Responsibilities determination rule' the above is not correct of course. Furthermore I also suppose that you have assigned this Organizational Data Profile to your transaction type.
    Hope this helps!
    Reward points if useful!
    Kind regards,
    Joost

  • Problem in assigning the support team automatically-PFAC_RESPO-13200137

    Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem in assigning the support team automatically.
In the transaction PFAC_RESPO , i maintained responsibilites with rule no. 13200137. I created  criteria for determining partners.
when i simulate the condition @ PFAC_RESPO it is picking correctly the Support team. But when i created a messgae in satellite system, it is not assigning the support team automatically.
Could anyone highlight me with some inputs.
    by
    D.K.VIJAYABHASKAR

    Hi,
In the rule definition and responsibility in tcode: PFAC_RESPO.
i have mentioned some of the Responsibility Specs, like client, installation number. Then when i simulate the condition (@ simulkate rule resolution) by entering the related details system picks the concerned support team.
But when i created message and checked, it is not picking any of the support team. Determination not happening.
I used the standard action profile SLFN0001_ADVANCED.
Action Definition : SLFN0001_ADVANCED_FIND_PARTNER (When message is created, find support team responsible)

    Guidelines and Recommendations
Before creating a new thread, search the appropriate section of the forum first for any existing and related threads. It may be more constructive to all, to advance the knowledge of an existing thread than to create a possibly redundant one. If you find something similar, but believe your topic is unique enough to create a new thread, then do create the new thread choosing your title carefully (see below). Provide some comments as to the existence of the related thread(s) you found and link to them. This will help other users and the moderators to provide the most valuable responses possible.
Post to the correct area - Post new threads in the sections for the particular family of systems, Thinkpads, Thinkcentres, Lenovo 3000, etc. Choose the proper series of systems - T, X, G, H, etc. Moderators will move threads to appropriate sections.
Title threads appropriately. The title of a thread should accurately reflect the subject of the discussion and be as technically specific as possible.  Avoid inflammatory or emotional statements that do not aid the development of the conversation. Thread titles are indexed not only for search functions within the forum, but often externally in Google, Yahoo, etc. Proper thread titles will aid the active members of the Lenovo community, as well as non-members who may be searching more broadly. Example of a good thread title: T Thinkpad Blue Screens after suspend . Example of a bad thread title: Stupid computer locks up - worthless piece of junk. Moderators may alter thread titles to be more meaningful if less than appropriate titles are chosen.
Use pictures to aid understanding and comprehension when appropriate. Screen captures of settings, pull down menus, or error messages can be very helpful in understanding an issue and helping to resolve it. Digital pictures of systems and their environments can also be helpful from time to time. Host pictures externaly, or post to photos area. Limit size to 100K or less. 10M pixel cameras are cool but the resulting file sizes are not. You can check out this article About Posting Pictures In The Forums for more useful details.
Look for ways to advance the richness of the forum. Share awareness of this forum with other users of Lenovo products that you know. Participate in special interest areas. Look for opportunities to mentor junior members - help them along the path to greater knowledge, share shortcuts. Do link to external resources and documents. Members that distinguish themselves by consistently providing quality answers, that advance the collective understanding, and resolve specific problems will attain higher rankings and privileges.
Please restrict off topic discussions to the general area.
There are thousands of online communities dedicated to a wide variety of topics from automobiles, to astronomy, folk arts to fly fishing. This community is dedicated to the Lenovo family of products, services, and the community members who own, use, and benefit from them.
    Country Location
    - Members should denote their country location in their personal profile.  Location is important when offering advice, as sales, service, and product options may not be consistent country to country. • Partner determination rules in sales documents

    Good afternoon Experts
I'm trying to determine responsible agents in a quotation document by using a rule with responsibilities
( in the access sequence of the responsible agent partner function).
Could someone please confirm how the rule container gets filled?
If the rule is based on a post code my understanding is that the post code of the sold
to party is passed to the rule container and the responsible agent gets
determined. Passing the post code to the rule container should be in this case hardcoded.
What happens though if I need to determine the responsible agent based on another
piece of information like "sales order type", "client tax classification" .
          -  How does the system know how to fill the rule container?
         -   Do  I need to create a new organizational attribute ?
On Sap help I've found :
"If you use rule resolution using responsibilities, you do not have to assign
attributes in the organizational model, other than the attributes distribution
channel and division; these are necessary for showing the sales area."
Where does the sales area come in for partner determination when using rules with responsabilities ? Is there a mechanism like sold to party/document -> sales area -> organisational attribute => attribute passed to rule container?
    Any input would be appreciated.
    Best regards
    Razvan Zainea

    Hi Razvan,
you can use rules in your partner determination access sequence. Most attributes are filled in document processing for the rule container.
You mentioned postal code. This is filled from the main partner of the document. The main partner of a sales order is the sold-to party, of an opportunity is the prospect, ....
If you like a different main partner you can do this via process type customizing (field 'partner function ORG').
If you need to fill your own container values you can use CRM_ORGMAN_BADI method CRM_ORGMAN_ATTRIB_VALUE_FILL.
Or as mentioned by Shanto you can use your own logic with COM_PARTNER_BADI.
    Best regards
    Marion

  • What are the two different rules for organizational data determination

What are the two different rules for organizational data determination???

    Hi
    1) Rule type Responsibilities
want to determine organizational data for individual responsibilities
have not created an organizational model but want to create one
have a lot of organizational units and must only assign a few attributes
    2) Rule type Organizational Model
You would use rule resolution using organizational model if you
have created an organizational model or have distributed a plan to SAP CRM and also want to use this for determining organizational data
assign a lot of attributes to the organizational units and these are to be evaluated

  • Responsibility rules : Agent determination only works after restarting the WF

    Hi Experts,
We are facing a very strange issue related to agent determination in one of our custom workflow:
For agent determination we are using a responsibility rule with two parameters "Company code" and "Plant".
The responsibility rule works well and returns the agents for all the company code.
Recently I have added few company codes to this responsibility rule in the same way we used to maintain and simulate it . It returns the correct agent for newly added company codes but at run time the agent determination is getting failed and the WF goes into an error because of it. However when i restart the WF via SWPR it works well and the agent determination works well either.
This is only happening for newly added company codes the old ones agent determination work well at the run-time.
Pls suggest what could cause this problem. If there is a problem in responsibility rule then why it works after restarting from SWPR.
Thanks in advance. The helpful/correct answers will be rewarded.
    Regards,
    Him

    Hi Rick,
    Thanks for replying.
    1. Can you replicate this problem in the test system?
Yes I could replicate this issue in test system and it works fine there.
    2. Is this a true responsibility rule or does e.g. a function module get called?
We have a responsibility where several responsibilities have been added with two parameters "company codes" and "plant". Every responsibility has a POSITION assigned into it and this position contains the related users.
This responsibility rule is getting called in one other rule with FM. Here in this another rule we are calling the responsibility rule by using the standard FM  RH_GET_ACTORS to fill the ACTOR_TAB.
I have tried to simulate both the rules and it returned correct agents but failing at run time.

    Him

  • Purchase Requistion - Agent Determination using responsibilities - Issue

    Hi Everyone,
I am new to workflow. I am having an issue wrt Purchase Requistion - Agent Determination using responsibilities.
Created some 30 to 40 resposibilities with combination of inputs - R1, P1 & Cost Center
Checked rule with responsibilities in Simulation mode and for the given inputs shows correct output.
Same config is present both in DEV and ACP. Simulation works fine in both systems.
But when I created Purchase Req. in DEV and save it. Workitem is generated for the correct agent. But when I do the same test in Quality, it fails and created Workitems for several agents.
Checked container info. in both systems,no.of agents is the ONLY difference (i.e. 1 in DEV and 30+ agents in Quality).
Put shred some light on this issue.
    Workflow Used: BUS2009
    Task : TS00007986
    Thanks a ton in advance.
    Regards,
    Krishna

    Hi,
Open the workflow (WS*******) with SWDD and see the bindings for the rule in the approval step (using TS00007986). Do they look the same in both environments? Are you passing the same parameters for the rule?
Another thing that you should check is a possible authorisation error. Maybe the users are not authorised to execute the needed functions for finding the agent inside the rule (common problem).
Also try to read the technical workflow log (Start a workflow, open SWI1 and drill-down to the workflow log). Can you see some error messages there? You will probably find a message saying that "cannot execute agent rule" or something like that. It is WF behaviour that if it cannot find an agent it will send the work item to all possible agents (unless otherwise configured).
    Regards,
    Karri

  • Agent Determination Rule Not Working

I have created an new agent determination rule in PFAC.
The category I used is "Agent Determination: Responsibilities".
I have also selected the "Terminate if Rule Resolution has no Result" option.
The container has one element in it which is NOT mandatory called "Clinic".
I have set up the responsibilities, where there is only one which catches all - In other words, I created a responsibility for Clinic "*". I have also assigned a position as a responsible agent. The position is linked to a person number, and the person has a user-name assigned - All are in the valid period.
If I test the rule, and do not enter anything for the Clinic, and click the test button, it returns my one agent, which is correct.
The problem is that in my workflow I have assigned the rule as a responsible agent. At runtime, the workflow falls over saying that the agent determination has failed. This does not make sense, since I have not passed anything in binding to the rule. As mentioned earlier, when testing it works fine. I have tried using the rule with and without binding but it wont work. If I change the step in the workflow to rather use  position, it works.
Please let me know if you have any ideas - I am really battling with this strange problem.

I tried deselecting "Terminate if Rule Resolution has no Result" in the rule definition.
Having done that, the workflow now works correctly - It actually DOES find an agent and the workflow goes on as expected.
This is really weird, because if the terminate option is selected, it falls over saying that no person was found. Now with the terminate option not selected, it finds the agent - Is this a bug, or am I misunderstanding something???

  • How is an Order Routing rule connected to the IC Webclient Profile

I created a simple ERMS order routing rule that If priority equals very high then route to John Smith whom is assigned to the IC Web position in PPOMW.
When I create a service ticket and mark it very high and choose the ESCALATE button the message no rule for routing was found.
I don't see anyway to connect this rule to our IC Webclient profile, or why the rule wasn't envoked. Will give points.
Edited by: John Burton on Apr 21, 2008 2:54 PM

    Hello Glenn,
Yes, you are correct. In addition to creating a Rule Modeler policy via the IC Manager role (accessible from the BSP view or Enterprise Portal), the business user also needs to request that IT (or someone) add the name of the Rule Modeler policy as an attribute of the RE_RULE_EXEC service for the applicable Service Manager profile in the IMG configuration for the relevant Rule Modeler context (Order Routing, ERMS, etc.). I certainly agree with you that the business user and the IT user as generally two different people. And if they are the same person, Sarbanes Oxley probably has something to say about that Your point is definitely valid. Perhaps in the future we need to be more considerate of the distinction of job responsibilities of business user versus IT user when designing products and solutions.
By the way, just as an aside... some Rule Modeler contexts can only use one Service Manager profile (for example Order Routing must always use a Service Manager profile called "SAP_ORDERROUTING") while other contexts can use multiple Service Manager profiles. For example, as of CRM 2005 (CRM 5.0) it is possible in transaction CRMC_ERMS_SM_PDET to assign different Service Manager profiles directly to different inbound email addresses for ERMS. And by assigning a different Rule Modeler policy to each Service Manager profile, you can use different root/default Rule Modeler policies for each incoming email address.
    Warm regards,
    John

  • PFAC rule for detrmining partner functions in Actions of Opportunity

    Hi all,
In Opportunity, we have scheduled the actions automatically for every phase. When we select phase in Opportunity transaction & save , the activities in that pahse would be created automatically based on conditions with person responsible same as in Opportunity transaction.
Now I have changed the access sequence in partner determination procedure not to determine person responsible from preceding document means this partner function would be empty in Actions created & I have created rules in transaction PFAC with category 'Agent Determination-Responsibilitis' & responsibility & need the system to deterimine different user for this Person responsible for activities.(Not from preceding document).I have maintained this rule & Partner function in parameters of Actions.& action profile has been assigned to Activity transaction type( Actions). But this rule is not determining the users for the Partner function 'Person responsible'.In activities this partner function 'Person responsible' remains empty.
Solution to this problem would be very helpful & maximum points would be rewarded for the useful answers.
    Reagards,
    Basavaraj Patil

    Hi Prashanth,
Thanks for your reply. I want the Rule  to determine Partner function 'Person responsible in Activity transactions  created in Phases of Opporunities not exactly partner function of Opportunity transaction. The procedure user( CRM Opportunity & Task) is maintained in Partner determination Procedure.
    For this I have assigned different Action profile with Method Call - CRM_DNO_PARTNER_1 containing Parameters for Rule(Structure - PDTASK & Field SEARK -  & Partner function(Structure - CRMD_PARTNER & Field - PARTNER_FCT).
But still it is not determining Partner Determination in Activities.
