Restoring computer- will I lose all my songs?
I'm going to have to restore my computer to it's original factory settings because of a bug that it's having, which means i'll have to lose all my songs on iTunes. When I reinstall iTunes, will all the songs be there again? How do I make it so I don't have to upload and purchase all that music again?
Yes, you will lose everything and have to repurchase it.
Either use File -> Backup library in iTunes to backup everything to CD/DVD or copy /My Documents/My Music/iTunes folder to an external drive.

I cannot open itunes. When I click on it a message pops up saying that itunes is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled. If I reinstall it will I lose all my songs? I have over 2,000 songs that I cannot lose! What do I need to do to fix it and keep all my songs?
Aha, a somewhat different question. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

No. You can continue to use content obtained with your old account. You cannot, however, transfer this content to your new account.

HT1420 will I lose all my songs if I deauthorize my computer
My old computer crashed and need to deauthorize all computers. 1) Will I lose all songs that have already been purchased? 2) Will it affect iphones and ipads associated with the apple id?
No...
If you no longer have, or access to, the computer(s) you want to deauthorise,
Log in to iTunes, go to "view your account info" on the itunes store, deauthorise all five, (Please Note: this can only be done Once every 12 months) and then re-authorize your current Computer(s) one at a time.

If i delete iTunes off my computer will i lose all my music?
I wanted to know this because my iTunes won't open, and I figured if I deleted and re-installed it, that might fix the problem. But I don't want to lose all my songs.
Any suggestions?I have the same issue. How would I locate my music if I uninstall then reinstall itunes? The message I get when I try to open itunes is this:
THE ITUNES LIBRARY FILE IS LOCKED, ON A LOCKED DISK, OR YOU DO NOT HAVE WRITE PERMISSION FOR THIS FILE.
Can I fix this problem without trying the uninstall? If so, how? Any help would be greatly appreciated! -

If I have to uninstall I-Tunes and then re install it, will I lose all of my songs
You shouldn't... But Backup your iTunes Library before doing anything.

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
Backup iTunes to an External Drive

An Added Bonus is that you will have a Backup of iTunes. -

Help?
Restore your media and other important files from the backup of the old computer. iDevices are not backup devices.
If you failed to maintain a backup, you may be able to download past purchases from iTunes. -
Will resetting ipod make me lose all my songs?
will i lose all my songs if i reset?
Uninstalling either the iPod Updater software or the iTunes software should not erase your music files. They are stored separately under the '..My Music\iTunes' folder.
However, not making backups of your music files and the iTunes Library database file is an extremely risky position in which to subject yourself.

I cannot get to my regular computer as it is in storage, and therefore cannot back anything up. If I change over to icloud using someones else's computer will I lose all bookmarks, contacts and all things on the computer in storage?
You have a question for the iCloud support folks, I would imagine.
We handle questions about the Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express in this area. If you have a question about one of those products.....we can probably help. -
I accidently uninstalled Bonjour and need to re install it.
If I do what is suggested and uninstall i tunes and reinstall it, will I lose all my songs etc that I already have on i tunes? No. They will be right where you left them after re-installing iTunes.
Either way, you should be backing this content up anyways.
