Restrict access to customer survey

Hello Experts,
can anyone please help us-
How can we restrict the survey access to a spefic user group?
We have 2 surveys, #1 survey is only accessible to China user, while #2 survey is only accessible to Japan user.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance, Sab.

You can control visibility of the assessment feature by role. However, if you have access to assessments a user will see assessments for both Japan and China. I would recommend submitting a enhancement request for this functionality.

  • How do you restrict access to custom applications?

    When I create portlets, there is usually an associated "admin" functionality that needs to be created for each custom application. An example is a shopping cart that we just created, we needed admins to be able to go in and upload photos.
    The way that I do this is I create a new portlet "Shopping Cart Admin" and restrict access to it that way. However, because I usually add everything in the /remoteserver/shoppingcart/. folder to the gateway space (its too painful to add one by one), this means that I can't put admin.aspx in that folder. So I usually end up creating a NEW folder /remoteserver/shoppingcartadmin/ for the admin portlet.
    Long story short, its a lot of work. I know that I could try to use activity rights, but those seem very global. How do you control edit access to your custom portlets?

    Well, there are a few different ways to go about it. You could add a preferences page with the admin functionality, and then an admin would just have to click the little pencil in the portlet titlebar. No admin/edit access, no little pencil.
    I have often set the visibility of an ASPX control directly from activity rights, in OnPageLoad, if it isn't postback time. The activity rights should be inherited by the user, through the user's group. Best practise is to create empty groups called Roles, add activity rights to the Roles, and then have the actual groups (that contain users) inherit from one or more Roles.
    You already knew that part, I added it for the others. My personal definition of a portlet is 'polymorphous instance of a web service'.
    So:
    Role: Store Manager (has Edit Shopping Cart activity right)
    ^
    Group: Store Managers (has Store Manager parent group)
    User: Vladimir (inherits Edit Shopping Cart activity right)

  • How do I restrict access to the survey to only selected respondents?

    I have a survey that I wish to send to only selected respondents instead of opening up to everyone. How should I go about doing that?
    Thank you.

    There is no way to restrict it to just a set of respondents. There is one URL for the form and if a person has the URL they can fill out the form.

  • Granting Access in custom portlets

    Hi,
    I'm deploing some portlets using PLSQL. Those portlets work's fine. Now i want to grant restricted access to this portlets. The best i can do is function is_runnable return false to users that i don't want to show my portlet.
    Example:
    if wwctx_api.get_userid!= 'PORTAL30' then return false;
    else return true;
    end if;
    Can i use portal funcionality of grant access to, by example applications components or pages or content areas to restric access to my portlets ?
    Thanks
    Pedro Ribeiro

    I realize that this is an old thread, but on the chance there are others like me looking into how to restrict access to custom porlets, I thought I would venture a reply.
    I looked at the current online docs for for Portal Security Services. If you have a need to get down in the weeds these docs will show you what you need to know. But there is a very SIMPLE way to restrict access to your new portlet.
    After you have your new PL/SQL or JAVA porlet in place, just create a new Portal Page using the wizard. Make it a plain page, no banner. Add your custom portlet to the new page. Then PUBLISH THIS NEW PAGE AS A PORTLET. Instead of adding your original portlet to other pages, add this "wrapper page" instead. You can use the grant access tab for the wrapper page to restrict access of the portlet to specific users and groups.

  • Restrict access to users in customer line item display FBL5N

    Hi all,
    We got a requirement from my client that, they want to restrict access of their users to view details of few customers  only. The user has a right to view FBL5N transaction code, but he cannot view all customers details.
    we created 4 customer account groups,we created like .. SD customers1
                                 SD customers2
                                 Onetime customers
                                 FI customers
    These FI customers cannot be viewed by all users except who has authorization in Tcode  FBL5N, we need to restrict to display only SD and one time customers details.
    we have tried with Basis but its not working and its blocking to view all customers.
    anyone got this kind of requirement , Is it possible to restrict....please help me.

    It is standard behaviour that the authorization object F_KNA1_GRP(account group authroization) is not checked
    in the transacion FBL5N. You can confirm this functionality in trans. SE24.
    As a workaround, I would suggest you to use the authorization object F_KNA1_BED Customer: Account Authorization
    If you assign an authorization group as the accouting group, perhaps you can get a similar functionality.
    Please note that for the 'drill-down' or direct call of FBL5N these objects are checked:
      F_BKPF_BLA Accounting Document: Authorization for Document Types
      F_BKPF_BUK Accounting Document: Authorization for Company Codes
      F_BKPF_GSB Accounting Document: Authorization for Business Areas
      F_BKPF_KOA Accounting Document: Authorization for Account Types
      F_BKPF_BED Accounting Document: Account Authorization for Customers
      F_KNA1_BED Customer: Account Authorization
      F_KNA1_BUK Customer: Authorization for Company Codes

  • A custom filter or module, such as URLScan, restricts access to the file.

    My btns do not work, I think becuase I added this:
    import flash.display.Sprite;
        import flash.net.navigateToURL;
        import flash.net.URLRequest;
        import flash.net.URLVariables;
    to my time line code in an attempt to get four btns to funtion out correctly with a navigateToURL  "_self".
    Now the IIS browser reads "custom filter or module, such as URLScan, restricts access to the file".
    Where can I find these filters and destroy them...please?
    Sabby76

    You might want to find out what purpose the filter(s) serve(s) before destroying (disabling/removing) it/them. For example, URLScan is there to prevent potentially harmful requests from being processed by IIS, and is configurable.

  • How to restrict access in 2008?

    How to restrict access in 2008?
    So, I would like to do the 2 following things:
    1. Grant developers access to read all Active Form Comonents
    2. Create new Form Groups
    3. Not be able to change nS Resticted AFC
    and
    1. Grant developers rights to Create Ous
    2. Add/Rmeove Members to OUs
    3. Remove rights to add/remove to/from Site Admin OU
    Any suggestions on how to do that?
    So far I tried the out of the box Capabilities and Permissions, created custome ones, but still no luck in accomplishing all 3 items.

    Your request #1 is not possible. In paticular, you can't create new form groups and still not be able to change all form groups. Please submit an enhancement request, asking that newScale support your desired role configuration.
    Similar problem with #2.

  • Restrict Access to Page Using a password.php Instead of Server Behavior

    I previously used "log in" and "restrict access to page" server behaviors for my client portal when I only had one client. I had my username and password stored in mySQL database. I recently have gained more clients that all needed to be redirected to their own customized landing page when logged in. Because of this, I used a password.php to store the usernames and passwords and to redirect to different pages. Now, I am wondering how I can restrict access to these pages (i.e. someone won't be able to access the pages by typing the url) since I will not be connecting to a database anymore.

    I'm also confused by your statements.
    >Now, I am wondering how I can restrict access to these pages
    >(i.e.  someone won't be able to access the pages by typing the url)
    >since I  will not be connecting to a database anymore.
    It doesn't matter where you store the credentials - database or php file - the techniques for restricting access will be similar. I really don't understand why you moved away from the database when you got more clients. The more data you need to manage, the more reason to store it in a database.
    After logging in, most sites direct users to the same page, yet pull user specific data from the database. If for some reason you can't do this and need to built individual pages for each client, then store the 'landing' page for the client in the php file or database. Restrict access to each page by comparing the logged in name with an allowed login name. Or a more dynamic approach would be to dynamically pass the page name to a database query that validates that it's ok for the logged in user to access.
    Also, these questions are more appropriate for the app dev forum.

  • FERC Code of Conduct - Restricting access for employees

    hello - I am project lead for an effort to separate market and transmission data from certain employees in our company. I'm finding this to be a monumental task, since we have a large SAP implementation. FI/CO, MM, HR (postion-based security), Customer (IS-U-CCS), PM, PS, xRPM. We have implemented SOD for SOx compliance, but this is an entirely different effort. Unlike SOx, we need to totally restrict transactions that could contain non-public market and transmission data, so we need to separate the data behind the transactions. Does anyone have experience with this? Would love to hear what approach you took and swap ideas.
    Annette M Alboreo, FirstEnergy Corp.

    Hi Annette,
    First of all, good luck! Data segregation is always a tricky one to manage and needs to be carefully thought out.  This sort of activity has a large security and functional overhead and you need to make sure you have access to them.
    When I've worked on this sort of thing in the past, there are a few things that you need to identify
    - What data is sensitive?  The business should ID <b>all</b> sensitive data and the functional team translate that into fields etc.  What data needs to be legally segregated, what data is nice to have segregated.  A set of rules should be drawn up to say who get's what in which circumstances.
    - How are people accessing data? What transactions give access to sensitive data? Standard SAP tx, custom tx (which may need auth checks changing), access to SE38/SA38, SQ01, SQVI etc.  All of the routes to the data need to be identified.
    Once it is known what data needs to be restricted then it is possible to address how to restrict access to it.  A reasonable amount of it should be able to be catered for in the standard auth concept.  It's also likely that there will be the requirement for additional config & customising (e.g hide fields, change screens, user exits) to meet these new control needs.  I think it goes without saying that the more that you can fix with the standard auth concept, the easier it tends to be.  If this means removing some transactions from users then in some cases it may be less costly than knocking up a whole load of custom code to solve the problem - of course this is dependent on the situation.
    Hope that is of some use
    Cheers
    Alex

  • GRC 5.3 Restrict access in RunRiskAnalysis

    Hi All,
    We are using GRC 5.3 and are looking to restrict access to variant deletion in the RunRiskAnalysis section. The variants are our primary way to run reports for different systems and hence we do not want these to be deleted (accidentally or otherwise).We have created a custom role in UME with action RunRiskAnalysis ad ViewInformer only.
    Please let me know if you have any pointers or suggestions
    Thanks in advance
    Vijaya

    per my knowledge this is not possible.
    GRC created permissions for every different action items in RAR. you can create message with SAP GRC to check if they had created any permission for variant. (i doubt)
    if not please request SAP for one.
    also please check security guide of GRC, will contain all the permission delivered in AC 5.3.
    regards,

  • Restricted access to nodes in SOLAR01

    Hi
    I have setup restricted access to the nodes in SOLAR01 (details shared below in the for "information area") - now I need to enter the team members who are allowed to update documentation in each business process & step.
    It seems that access to a higher level node is not inherited by the lower level nodes so I have to update each business process & step individually.
    This is going to be a mammoth task that will need to be repeated every time a new team member joins - is there a mass update function avaialble or perhaps a way to cause the lower level nodes to inherit the team member access of its parent?
    regards
    Marina
    For information
    To set up restricted access I did the following for standard project users;
    1.  In transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN, edit your project and go to tab "Proj. Team Member'
    Check the box "Restrict changes to nodes in project to assigned team members
    (make sure you have assigned your team members in the grid)
    2.  Make a copy of SAP_SOLAR01_ALL role into the customer namespace and make the following changes
    S_PROJECT
    ACTVT = 03,23,71,76
    also set your project ID
    S_PROJ_GEN
    project ID = your project
    proj_func = SCEN
    S_DATASET
    actvt = 33,34
    add in S_IWB
    ACTVT = 01,02,03,33,6,80,D1,V1
    IWB_AREA = IWBSOLAR
    IWB_EXTNSN = /KWCUST/
    IWB_FLDGRP = your project
    AI_SA_TAB
    remove PRODATA from TABNAME (for administrators who should be able to edit everything create an auth with this made available).
    Any other entries I have not specifically mentioned I have given them a * value.

    Hello,
       If you want the team member to be inherited along the lower nodes you have to use button "Make Mass Changes"; access the higher node, go to "Administration" tab, then "Team member" tab, then use the fourth button "Make mass changes" to add a team member, after that, it will be inherited along the lower nodes.
    I hope that hleps!
    Best regards,
    Federico.

  • RemoteApp 2012 R2 Restrict Access to Session Host Desktop

    Here is our current situation: I have set up Remote Desktop Services on Server 2012 R2 and published RemoteApp programs. Everything works great with load balancing, collections, etc... and I have been very impressed. However, as it always has been an issue,
    I have always had the question of how to allow users to access RemoteApp applications on the session host without allowing them to RDP directly onto the server to access the server desktop. Obviously, you have to add them to remote desktop users group and
    they need to be allowed to access over RDP so I figure that the next best thing is to restrict access to the desktop should they manually type the name into an RDP client connection. I know you couldn't restrict them from using mstsc.exe because they need
    that to open the RemoteApp since it just uses RDP and I am aware of using GPO's to restrict access to drives and many other things but I would like to remove the desktop altogether. Would it be plausible to remove the GUI feature and restrict access to CMD
    and SCONFIG through Server Manager and still allow the session host to present RemoteApp applications or is there a better way to approach this? I figured if I just remove the GUI and access to cmd and sconfig then if they logged on, they would get a blank
    screen. Thank you in advance for your time!

    Hi,
    One technique for this is to set the Custom User Interface group policy setting to logoff.exe.  You would have the GPO apply to normal users, but not applied to Domain Admins (or other users that you need to have full desktop).
    User Configuration\Administrative Templates\System
    Custom User Interface     Enabled
    Interface file name: %systemroot%\system32\logoff.exe
    You should also use NTFS permissions, group policy settings, AppLocker, etc., to further restrict what users are able to do.

  • Restricting access of to auth relevant characteristics

    Hello Experts,
    We have a requirement wherein I have to restrict access for a user by which the user would not be able change the poroperties of characteristics even in the local view in the query designer.
    The requirement is like the user should be able to go into change query (local view) and change rows and columns but the user should not be able to change the properties of any characteristic.
    In our case the user is trying to change the properties of a authorisation relevant characterstics which the user should not.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regds,
    Suyog.

    Hi Suyog,
    As per my knowldge, you cant control change acceess only to rows and column only in query designer. Also please note that maintaining auth. relevant charactristics as processing type authrization or customer exit is BW developers job, as BI security consultant you can give suggestions to maintain such varaiables.
    Hence you give change  query access in Dev and  give only display in QA & production.
    Best Regards

    Restrict to comma separated user list (status must equal Restricted Access) : (leaving blank)
    using sso authentication (do not know whether this impacts) for our application.
    Thanks for the help in advance.
    Ram

    Ram,
    1) not able change notification, application access restricted, Please try later(any way to put customized notification.?)I don't think so.
    2) Edit links are not available (any availability status to have these..?, other than available with edit links)No.
    You might want to implement this using authorization schemes. You would need a way to determine what privileges the authenticated user has then you could restrict access to the whole application or to certain pages based on the privilege.
