Restrict the transaction authoriztions with Business area

Hi All
I want to restrict the access of transaction PCP0 with Business area.
Please suggest me for the same

The standard SU24 settings for PCP0 allow restricting the authorizations based on funds management areas using object
F_FICB_FKR Cash Budget Management/Funds Management FM Area
But there is not authorization check for business area in this transaction. You can alter the ABAP code for an authority check for business area using some user exit and a custom authorization object.

    Hi,
    Select all your folders in Disco Administrator,ALT+ENTER to go to properties, then change the database from the default database to the remote database.

  • Transaction starting with Y_DEV are showing in German language even though

         When we are login into SAP with French language, then all the transaction starting with Y_DEV are showing in German language i.e the initial screen and when we execute(F8) any transaction starts with Y_DEV, the output is coming in French language.
    Why in the initial screen, it is reflecting in German language even though the login is made with French language.

    Y_DEV* are user-developed reports. Could be that the selection parameters are not translated to French or maybe they just have to be re-generated (it happens sometimes in SAP). Use GR52 to regenerate the group of these reports.

  • SEM-BCS how to make Consolidation Unit with Business Area

    Hi all,
    I am newbie in SEM-BCS and implementing BW-based BCS. Our situation is as follows.
    Situation
    - we have 7 companies worldwide and 4 different Business areas.
       Every company consists of at least two business areas in R/3.
    - we have sales transaction in FI among companies.
    requirement
    - we need consolidated F/S in whole consolidation group and consolidated F/S in Business area level.
    actually, we are planning to make the consolidation unit in company level.
    Do we have to break down consolidation unit in business area? or just breakdown category solves our requirement?
    If we have sales transaction even between business areas within certain company, do we have to make it in business area?

    Following are the answer to your questions…
    Q:   What to do for using this cube in BCS?
    A:    Add the business area to the cube. Generate the data basis and the business area gets added to all ODS/DSO , virtual cube.
    Suggestion: To avoid deleting the Profit center cube, since you can reduce the complication.
    Q:   Is it the problem about DATA BASIS Role?
    A:   No. Assign the role of subassignment or consolidation unit as needed. If you are giving the role of consolidation unit to business area, you need to insert the char Partner business area also in the cube.
    Q:   Is there some materials to solve this situation?
    A:   Refer the matrix consolidation material in help.sap.com from BCS portion.  As per SAP literature any relevant object can be made as second consolidation unit such as business area, functional area etc. Don’t fear. Once you start it the issue will be resolved in few days.
    Expected complication:
    If you are going to make business area as subassignment then it is simple. But if you are making business area as Consolidation unit, go for partner business area in cube.
    Ensure with your BI consultant that all BCS messages are addressed in BI infoobject for business area specifically.
    Things can get complicated only if we allow for it get complicated. But you are doing great.. Keep  posted.. Good luck.!!!..

  • How to restrict the transaction OB52 ?

    Hi guys.
    I need to restrict the transaction OB52 for Company Code. By default the transaction OB52 has no authority object to restrict it to the company code. Try it by adding the SU24 transaction object F_BKPF_BUK (check / maintain). When I create the security role by adding the transaction OB52, lifts my perfectly F_BKPF_BUK authorization object, added the company you will have the authorization, but does not work when I assign the Role to the user. The user will still leave change all companies and not the company you want to restrict.

    Take the below into consideration for restricting table views for transaction like OB51, OB52 etc.... For your particular case I guess when user is running OB52 then it is providing data from table V_T001B
    First level authorization check will be S_TABU_DIS for access to table. Auth group will be FC31
    Now to drill down further restriction on line level for above table you need to use objects S_TABU_LIN. To use this object consider have look into the documentation for this object and 2nd step to read documentation in following path.
    SPRO --> Display IMG --> SAP Web Application Server --> System Administration --> Line-oriented Authorizations --> Define organizational criteria/Active organizational criteria
    Now in SPRO when you will create organization criteria then create it for field Posting Period Variant (BUKRS). This is one of the field for table V_T001B.
    Now activate it for table views V_T001B
    Now run OB52 again and it will ask for additional authorization for object S_TABU_LIN. In ORG_CRIT put the name of organization criteria you have created and in ORG_FIELD1 maintain value for relevent company code.
    This way will see only those lines where value for BUKRS will match with his/her user master for S_TABU_LIN
    This is quite big post. Will suggest you to go through documentation thoroughly rest are self explanatory.

  • Error : Profit Center does not match with Business Area. Message no. ZGLTFI

    Hi Everyone,
    Error occurs when doing inbound PGR. Processed done so far are the following:
    Normal PO created & released.
    Inbound created
    Transfer order created and confirmed.
    When doing PGR via VL32N > click Post Goods Receipt error occurs
    Profit Center does not match with Business Area
    Message no. ZGLTFI0001031
    Checked already in KE53 the Profit Center used was assigned to the Co. Code used in the PO.
    The same Profit Center was maintained in material master.
    The Plant used was assigned to proper division and business area.
    Any other ways to check?
    Btw not only in Inbound PGR the error occurs .. also happened in MIGO and MB1C.
    Tried to do other transaction involing the material, plant and profit center all give the same error.
    Any info shared is much appreciated.

    this error is not a SAP standard error, it is an own message class (ZGLTFI0001), so it must be issued from a validation or user exit.  Please find the user exit, or talk to FI Team and ask what they check

  • How to change the database in a business area

    Hello All,
    I am trying to figure out a way to change the database that a business area connects to. When I created the business area I selected to look at tables from the default database. Now I need to change that setting to connect to a different database. The tables are exactly the same on both databases. I just need to change the database that the business area looks at.
    Is there a simple way of accomplishing this? I want to avoid having to recreate the business area.

  • Problem with Business area

    hello,
    any body please help me.
    previously i have configured with business area.  every thing working fine. but my client decided to work  with profit center. then i have made changes with profit center, means all assignment i deleted. I changed all assignments in OKB9 changed to profit center. i have deleted business area assignment with sales area and plant.
    but when i am creating sales order it is asking business area. even i am doing stock posting with movement type 561 it is giving the same message. so please let me know where i am doing wrong.

    Hi,
    in the "global parameters" for your company code, uncheck "Business area fin. statements".
    Also make sure the field status groups you use for your accounts don't specify business area as a required field

  • No records written to the transactional cube with the copy function

    Hi, I am unable to copy data from the basic cube to transactional cube,
    I have developed following:
    1. Planning Area PA1 – for the basic cube
    2. Planning Area PA2 – for the transactional cube
    3. Multi planning Area MPA1 – over PA1 and PA2.
    4. Planning Level PL1 for MPA1. It includes all the chars and KF.
    5. Planning Package PP1 for PL1. No selections are made in this planning package.
    6. Planning Function PF1 for PL1. It is based on copy function and has Plng Area in the field to be changed.
    7. Parameter Group PG1 for PF1. I have selected Overwrite existing values option, in from planning area PA1 and in to planning area PA2.
    Now when I execute the planning function it displays following log with green status:
    Planning function PF1 (PF to copy data actuals to plan), parameter group PG1(PG to copy data) was carried out with no error
    500 data records were read, 0 of them were changed, 0 generated
    After this I hit the save button. A request is written to the transactional cube but there are no records in this request. Can anyone guide if I am missing something here or with correct steps

    Whate ever charcateristic combinatins you have in the plg level will be copied from PA1 to PA2.
    Can you pl check the following:
    1. Do you have data  on the basic cube?  If so, take one set of characteristtic combinations and go to transactional cube and check this.
    2. Make sure the request in the basic cube is GREEN.
    Lets do one more thing.
    Tell me what distinguished PA1 and PA2?
    If you have any characteristic that distinghished them, then lets run a copy with that characteristic. You dont have to have plng area in the function / para group.
    Check the following. I will reply in a few mts, as i have a meeting.

    Cost center A with Business area 01 - $1000
    to allocate the cost to :
    Cost Center A with Business area 02 - $500
    Cost Center A with Business area 03 - $300
    Cost Center A with Business area 04 - $200
    Scenario No.  2 (allocate cost in same business area to different cost center)
    Further allocation base on scenario no. 1
    Cost Center A with Business area 02 - $500
    to allocate the cost to :
    Cost Center B with Business area 02 - $300
    Cost Center C with Business area 02 - $100
    Cost Center D with Business area 02 - $100
    Please advise if there is a solution on the above.

    Hi,
    I think there is no possibility of picking business area automatically in FI.
            But in CO u maintain the business area within controlling. This means that when you create cost center master records you need to specify the business area. CO objects such as, cost centers and internal orders aid account assignment, as the business area can be derived from the master data records. When you post primary costs to a cost center, the system determines the business area automatically from the cost center master data. This enables the costs to be assigned to the correct business area.
            Therefore, you do not need to manually set the business area in the posting document, as the system does this, and thus reduces the number of incorrect assignments to a minimum.

    While generating the Billing Doc, for the Tax amount line item , the Business area shd be populated. How this can be done? while  for the othter line items it is displaying but not for the tax amount line item.

    In ECC 6.0 with document splitting and new GL business area would be available in the general ledger view for tax postings. For earlier versions than ECC 6.0 use balance sheet adjustment program SAPF180 to populate business area for tax items.
