Restriction not working up properly in Query

Hi,
In BI Backend, i have 2 Info Objects in my Infocube, Movement type & Posting date.  There are totally 3 movement types, A B & C.  In my Query, i have to show up the posting date based on the Movement types in seperate columns.  Say, Movement type A column should show the posting dates assigned to A.
I created a Calculated Key figure with Replacement path Formula Variable using Posting date.  I restricted this CKF with the Movement type A.  Similarly i created 2 more RKF's for B & C.
But, when i execute the query, I am getting the posting date value for all the rows in the 3 columns, which should not happen.  As per actual, a particular row should have posting date value for only one of the movement types but in my case all the movement type columns are getting posting date value for a particular row.
I am not sure where things went wrong.  Any help on this is highly appreciated.

Hi,
My Output should be as follows:
     MT-A                MT-B               MT-C
12.09.2011
                         11.10.2011
                         01.09.2011
                                                 03.10.2011
23.01.2011
But my Output is as follows:
     MT-A                MT-B               MT-C
12.09.2011       12.09.2011      12.09.2011
11.10.2011       11.10.2011      11.10.2011
01.09.2011       01.09.2011      01.09.2011
03.10.2011       03.10.2011      03.10.2011
23.01.2011       23.01.2011      23.01.2011
Please revert back for any further clarifications.

  • Restrictions not working in BO Webi Report

    Hello,
    I have created a universe on BEx query. Now on this universe when i create reports with restrictions the restrictions are not working.
    For example:
    If i create a BO query with restriction say Doc_Number= 108994 and display Doc_Number and Delivery_Number then:
    in Doc_Number column i get 108994 but in Delivery_Number column i get all the delivery numbers from the cube. In other words all Delivery_Numbers are retrieved when i restrict data for one Doc_Number and vice versa is also true.
    Can anyone help me solve this issue?

    Hello,
    If i remove all the filters and include any of key figures then i get correct data.
    But if i remove the key figure and apply a restriction say on Delivery_Number then i get incorrect data.
    I too believe that ideally this should not happen.
    eg:
    Doc_NumDelivery_Number
    111                      1010
    222                      1234
    333                      5678
    Now if i include Doc_Num and Delivery_Number in query and apply filter Delivery_Number = 1010 then the output is
    Doc_Num           Delivery_Number
    111                      1010
    222                      1010
    333                      1010
    Same is the case if i apply filter on Doc_Num i get all Delivery_Number.
    What should be the reason behind such behaviour of the query????

    Edited by: user10503747 on Sep 20, 2010 3:16 AMInstead of:
    {code}
    select key into v_KEY FROM try where v_value='Value' ;
    {code}
    perhaps you meant something like:
    {code}
    v_value := 'Value1';
    select key into v_KEY FROM try where v_value=Value ; -- No quotes
    {code}
    Until you assign a vlue to a variable, like v_value, it is NULL, so your original statement was equivalent to
    {code}
    select KEY FROM try where NULL='Value' ;
    {code}
    In PL/SQL, a SELECT ... INTO statement must return exactly one row, or else you will get an error (either NO_DATA_FOUND or TOO_MANY_ROWS). This is different from SQL, where a query cn return any number of rows, including 0, without raising an error.

  • IP address restrictions not working with bea weblogic plugin

    We want to implement IP address restrictions via the Sun Java One Web Server admin tool for our application. We are using the Sun Java One Web Server to proxy requests via the Bea Weblogic plugin. However, we cannot get IP address restrictions to work because of the leading asterisk in the following NSAPI entry for PPATH of obj.conf :
    <Object name="weblogic" ppath="*/cmcsr/*"> Service fn="wl_proxy" WebLogicCluster="10.156.20.11:9010,\
    10.156.20.12:9010,10.156.20.13:9010" DynamicServerList="OFF"
    </Object>
    Has anyone gotten IP restrictions to work with the bea Weblogic NSAPI plugin?

    I'm not sure what you're asking, but each Service directive should be on its own line. It is an error to have both a <Client> tag and Service directive on a single line.

  • Family Base restrictions not working

    We setup a family base account per the instructions and video. The time restrictions seem to be working fine but the list of trusted numbers is not working. Our son is still able to send and receive text messages through his iPhone 4 to anybody unless we specifically block their number on the Verizon account.
    We found that even with Family Base restrictions setup, imessage bypasses those restrictions so we turned off imessage on his phone and setup restrictions on his iPhone itself. This stopped him from being able to use the imessage feature of the iPhone but people who are not setup in his trusted numbers are still able to get text messages through. We're frustrated because the family base is not working the way it's supposed to and we're being charge for this "feature."

    Hi Billiam!
    I'm sorry for any inconvenience with your son's iPhone 4 and the Family Base feature. Upon review of this feature, I see that the child companion app is not compatible with the iPhone device. Some features will work, and some will not, but this is due to the design of the iPhone. Here is some additional information for you: http://vz.to/15gGAxd

  • Character restrict not working

    Hi, I'm trying to restrict the characters in my input text
    field to digits only (0-9) -- it's an age restriction. But for some
    reason it's not working. Here is my code:
    var age = "";
    ageRestrict = function () {
    age.restrict = "0-9";
    ageRestrict();
    Also, if I don't use var age = ""; it will say undefined when
    I publisht he movie. Why is that?
    What am i doing wrong?
    Thanks

    If you read the Flash help about the restrict property, it's
    a property
    of a TextField -- i.e. not of a variable and not of the
    textfield's
    "variable" property.
    What is the instance name of your input textfield? The
    restriction
    should be as simple as:
    myInputTFInstanceName.restrict = "0-9"

  • Replacement path does not work for a specific query after migration 7.0

    Hello all,
    We have a problem with a replacement path variable in a query.
    After the migration, it seems this replacement path doesn't work.  This replacement path is defined inside a structure that is used in some other queries and for the other queries is working properly.
    Another think we have done is to make a copy of the query where the replacement path doesn't work and the copied query works ok.
    Did anybody find this kind of problem in a migration. Any help will be appreciated.
    Regards, Inma

    This is just for those who might have simmilar requirement &  would in case refer to this thread..
    Me too faced same problem of OLE DB for OLAP cant be released. I was using  replacement path query variable which was using result set from the other  query.
    I just had to uncheck 'Allow External Access' in release for OLE  DB for OLAP in query properties. This worked from me, my query using replacement path variable is giving desired results.
    Hope this might be useful for relevant users.

  • Coldfusion 8 debug ip restrictions not working

    Have been trying to limit ip's to local host, 127.0.0.1, but no luck.  Debug info is visible to all.  Inherited application that uses coldfusion so not very familiar with it but the debugging options seem very straightforward in the administrator but still the limiting of debug info to specific ip's is not working.  Windows 2003 R2 environment.  Any insight would be useful.  Thanks in advance.

    I'm not sure what you're asking, but each Service directive should be on its own line. It is an error to have both a <Client> tag and Service directive on a single line.

  • Perl module not working/installed properly

    I have a perl script that worked fine on Ubuntu.  I've now replaced Ubuntu with Arch and installed the perl modules I need to run this script and one of them doesn't seem to be working properly, I think I had a hiccup during installation of this particular module.  Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to fix this please.
    This is the output of my script falling over:

    The 'MP4::Info' module "appears" to be installed ok though, as shown thusly:
    [me@arch ~]$ cpan
    Terminal does not support AddHistory.
    cpan shell -- CPAN exploration and modules installation (v1.9600)
    Enter 'h' for help.
    cpan[1]> install MP4:Info

    MP4::Info is up to date (1.13).

    Any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

    For some reason IO::String was not installed. Try installing it from the cpan shell.

  • Reply to all restriction not working

    We have an "everyone distro group that we setup delivery restrictions on. It is set too "Only senders in the following list". We had one of these allowed users send out a email to everyone. Then someone who is not on that list was able to
    reply all and it was sent to "everyone". Is there another setting I can check. We really need this restriction. Thanks.

    Weird thing is, they do get the warning message that they "Do not have permission to send to:". This happens when they reply or compose a new email. We have a Universal distro group setup with an alias. I created a test group configured the same
    way and it does work.
    You mean the restrictions work for the test group?
    Hmmm, Can you recreate the group the doesn't work?

    Hi All,

    Hi,
    The blank row that you get from your second select statement would appear at the end of the report. Put that statement first and it should be at the top of the first page

  • Jsp sriplets not working in properly in ojsp

    Hi every one i have this ADF application develped in jdevelper 11.1.1.0.2 and deployed in to weblogic server version 10.3.0 and it worked fine.plese note i have used
    ADF for the presentaion layer.We had to migrate in to weblogic server version 10.3.2.for this i used jdevelper version 11.1.1.2.0 and open the project from this and i click yes for the migration.
    then i have deployed the new war file in to the new server.but the thing is it doesnt work the expected way.for my knowldge the issue is something to do with ojsp.when it tries to read jsp scriplets in the jsp page it throws an error.it is as followes
    **JspServlet error: Servlet unable to dispatch to the following requested page: The following exception occurred:oracle.jsp.parse.JavaCodeException:  Line # 13, oracle.jsp.parse.JspParseTagScriptlet@3f673160***

    any solution to this.????can i disable the ojsp compiler and go to normal jsp compliser?if so how to do it?
    thanks in advance every one :)
    Umesh

    Extracted from Note 1067696.1:
    You need to either adapt your code to remove the scriptlets in your JSP page,
    or you can use the following Java option to disable OJSP:
    -Dadfvdt.disableOjspDeployment=true
    You can add this option -Dadfvdt.disableOjspDeployment=true in your file "ide.conf" in the directory "<Middleware_Home>\jdeveloper\ide\bin"
    For your Production environment, you can have your Managed WLS ignoring the OJSP mode by adding the Java Option -Dadfvdt.disableOjspDeployment=true
    * in the "startManagedWebLogic" (if you want to limit it to a specific Managed Server)
    * or "setDomainEnv" (for all managed servers in a domain).

  • SInstance=Param not working for sap bw query based reports (FWM 02020)

    Has anyone else tried linking to instances using sInstance=Param from a webi to webi or webi to crystal document?
    We have attempted the following using the build hyperlink function in webi.
    1. Select the crystal report.
    2. We have 2 variables, the variables do not have the description coming over from SAP.
    Variables come over as
    !V000001
    !V000003
    3. Select Link to Document instance - Most recent - matching prompt values
    4. Select the values for the prompts with a constant.
    5. Go to the history of the crystal report and look at the selected parameters of the crystal report.
    6. Highlight , copy and paste these into the prompts on the hyperlink
    7. Save and run.
    8.  Receive an error
    An error has occurred: The object with ID -1 does not exist in the CMS or you don't have the right to access it (FWM 02020)
    We have tried a number of combinations of parameter responses from technical name, description, combination of the two, and so on.  Nothing has worked.
    Anyone else experience this problem?

    Hi Stratos,
    We've created 2 new crystal reports based of sap queries.
    Report 1, single prompt, no hierarchy.
    Result : Can link to specific instance with matching parameters.  Great!
    Report 2, single prompt, hierarchy based.
    Result: Cannot link to specific instance with matching parameters
    Parameter list for report 2
      [!V000001} : Cost Center/Gr{oup (Multiple)  = {0COSTCENTER XXXXXXXX.BGT3}.{XXXXXXXXX.BGT3 0HIER_NODE} - XXX, XXX & XXX
    However when I go into the history and look at the successful instance parameters used, it seems to be picking up an extra parameter ( my guess is node)
    XXX, XXX & XXX; {0COSTCENTER XXXXXXXX.BGT3}.{XXXXXXXXX.BGT3 0HIER_NODE} - XXX, XXX & XXX
    We have attempted to use the entire string, the first portion, second portion, and just the technical response.  No luck.
    Perhaps this needs to go to a service request?

  • Column Aliases not working when using MS Query into Excel?

    I setup an Oracle ODBC connection from my desktop to an Oracle 9i DB, and created an MS Query sql:
    select sysdate as "Today" from dual;
    When I tried to run it and return it to Excel, it would ignore the column alias of 'Today' and keep putting in 'SYSDATE' as the column header.
    SYSDATE
    ==========================
    2007-04-18 11:55:54
    What I expected was:
    TODAY
    ==========================
    2007-04-18 11:55:54
    I've read some other reports out there on the web and tried changing a registry entry per the MSDN knowledge base, but that didn't help. Several of the existing threads in this forum only refer to exporting directly to an Excel file from Oracle, rather than pulling the information from the db into excel using an abstraction layer such as ODBC (ADO would be similar I'm sure).
    Just curious if other Oracle SQL guys have run into this same problem. I'm sure somebody's had to use a column alias in their Oracle->Excel results before..

    Are you using SQL plus? Have you tried Oracle's SQL
    developer? It is free, does not require an install
    on your computer (you can run it from a flash drive),
    and it exports pretty smoothly to excel.I'm not using SQL Plus -- this was purely excel / ODBC as the client and Oracle as the database layer.
    I had looked at SQL Developer, along with DB Visualizer (along the same lines , as a sql gui with some export capability to .csv and excel formats). However, I don't think it quite served my purpose in trying to have a workable data-source where I could pull from Excel and use VBScript or C# to do the manipulation and customized reporting/charting/pivot-tabling.
    My eventual workaround was to bypass MS Query altogether for creating the 'external data table' in Excel, and instead create the query through code.
