Reverse the inventory posting to earilier date

hi,
we have createed some deliveries sucefully with eralier dates i.e dec 2008,why because corresponding sales orders r created on dec '08, but for one delivery by mistake GI Date has taken as current date ie jan 2009, so that we have reverseed the PGI,but inventory posted in jan 2009, is there any posiabilty of posting the same invetory in dec 2008.Can anybody help me.
Thanks in advance

Hi vijay,
In SAP the inventory is kept per period.
If you did GR in Dec 2008 and then did GI in Jan 2009, there is still stock in Dec 2008
You can check table MARDH to see historical inventory
Suppose you did GR of 1 EA in Dec 2008. At the beginning of Jan 2009, you have
Dec 2008: 1 (MARDH)
Jan 2009: 1 (MARD)
After you did PGI in Jan 2009, you have
Dec 2008: 1 (MARDH)
Jan 2009: 0 (MARD)
After you cancel the PGI in Jan 2009, you have
Dec 2008: 1 (MARDH)
Jan 2009: 1 (MARD)
So theorectically, you can post PGI in Dec 2008 because you have stock in that month
If you post PGI in Dec 2008 now, you will have
Dec 2008: 0 (MARDH)
Jan 2009: 0 (MARD)
But it depends if you accounting period is closed for Dec 2008 or not
If not, I think you can post the PGI in Dec 2008

  • Inventory posting-default baseline date

    Hi Expert!
i have opened a forum regarding invoice posting-how to set document date to be as the dafault baseline date in MIRO,FB60,FB65,FV60 and FV65.. I got the path given by prashant "SPRO=>FA=>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable=>Business Transactions=>Incoming Invoices/Credit Memos=>Maintain Terms of Payment" but will it affected to all company codes?? I only want to set it up for 2 company codes only.. is it possible to do so?
Then one more thing is, in the path i can see payment terms 0001, 0002 and 0003 but however they're different than payment terms which are being using currently..K160,K165... where can i check payment terms againts company code?
    Please advise..

    Hi,
You use the standard terms of payment or customize terms as per your requirement with default baseline date controls.
These are stored in table V_T052.  You can choose any of these terms as per your requirement.  If you use page up or down
key, you go to the next page and see other terms or click positiion tab to view K160 or K165.  These terms of payments
are either assigned during transaction or directly assigned to Vendor Master or Customer Master in Company Code data.
If you want to see the terms of payment assigned to the vendors/customer in two of these company codes use SE16N
and view through tables LFB1(vendors) KNB1(Customers).  You cannot make a specific assignment to the company code.

  • Is it possible to use the HDMI post to import data

I'm new to all this, but I have a Z570 laptop, so not an old model, and I want to import data via the HDMI slot, I can't use the other ports due to the data being on a platform with only HDMI as an output port.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Thanks RichK, that seems to be the end of that.
I was hoping to find a reasonably cheap way of getting recorded programs from MY Virgin Media Tivo box to watch in my Rv, the only output being HDMI, but so far I've not come up with anything, a HDMI to USB would at least give me something, but I don't know what

  • Problem in reversal of the GR posting

    Dear all,
While trying to reverse the Process Order confirmation, we are getting the below errorwith message,
    Message no.- QA046
Diagnosis: You are attempting to reverse a goods receipt although quantity postings have been already been made from the inspection lot. This means that stock for the good receipt has already been transferred and for this reason a cancellation of the document is no longer possible.
    Procedure:
Ensure that the postings in QM (within the usage decision transactions) are carried out.
Referring to the above message, please let me know how and in which t.code the above problem can be corrected?
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi JH,
Thanks for the inputs. We were able to cancell the inspection lot. But even after that, we were not able to reverse the GR posting through cancellation of Process Order confirmation. In COGI, we see two records. But were not able to process that as we get the same message which i mentioned before. Kindly suggest.

  • How to Reverse F.2B posting

    Hi,
Can you let me know how can we reverse the documents posted via F.2B transaction.
We executed the F.2B and interest document has been posted(Customer account & Interest a/c) and we reversed the interest document with FB08.
Now when we try to execute F.2B again the system is not calculating the interest.
    Do suggest.
    Regards,

    Hi,
Thanks for your mail. The note mentioned by you is relevant to excluding the cleared document.
Coming to your other point the Customers Items are still Open (after e ran the Interest Calculation- as int document has reversed). Our issue is, the first time when we ran F.2B, the interest amount posted to all customers including dispute invoice(for which interest must not be calculated - marked as interest block) as we missed out select the Interest Block Indicator in Dynamic section of F.2B.
Now we are not sure how to reverse the document posted via F.2B.
We are not able to delete it with FINTSHOW  transaction, as the t.code doesnt has data.
We have performed FB08 for the interest document (also removed the Interest run date from customer master)and when we try to execute F.2B again, the system is not posting the interest document.
Do suggest, how to post the Interest.

  • Price Variation in System -- Inventory Posting

    Hello,
I wanted to know if anyone has encountered this issue before or knows of a solution or reason why it may of occurred.  One of our clients noticed that their inventory posting for an item, the price is different from the all the related documents.
They have Item A that is purchased at  $58.2096 amount... they create a PO --> GRPO -->  AP Invoice and the unit price stays the same.  Now when they went to review the Inventory Posting and Audit Report for that item, the unit price amount is @  $58.2097.
They are not using exchange rates and the change log shows no alterations of the price made by anyone.
    Warmest Regards,

    Hi,
What is your B1 version and PL?
    Thanks,

  • Need a query to update the inventory item to non inventory item

    Dear all,
I need a query which should update the Inventory to Non - Inventory Item.

    Hi,
You need to freeze the inventory by click inactive tick box. This will prevent users to use the inventory.
The inventory posting lists will still exists as an inventory's transaction history for auditor if the inventory have had transactions.
To empty the warehouse, just perform good issue and use inventory decrease account. After the warehouse has been empty, create similar inventory item by right click --> select duplicate. Create new item code and in the tab remarks, just write this non inventory item was ever inventory item with code e.g. xxxx.
if you want to recover the stock, just create new item and then receive the stock into warehouse using Good receipt. use the same account code with account code used in the good issue.
    JimM
    PS.
Do not use sql statement to update B1 database. No SAP support provided afterwards.

  • Re: Posting period error message  while QM inventory posting

    Hi All,
I am having a situation where the client is not able to make the UD for inspection lots because of the postinng period message.
Now as there might several backlogs in the previous month I have suggested the client to make the posting on 31.08.2008.
I need to ask one question:
But in case of UD for inspection lot the 'inspection END Date' is picked from the inspection lot.
So, whenever the user is trying to do UD he is getting the message that " posting only possible in period 2008/05 & 2008/04.
To avoid this error I suggested the user to change the "insp. END Date " in the inspection lot i.e. QA02 to 31.08.2008.
    Is this the right way
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Vivek

    Dear Vivek,
Babu Singh is absolutely right that you have to ask FI/CO person to open current period so that the Stock Posting and Document Date as wel as UD can be saved.
Further if you want to post the Stock in Back Date ( For Example if you are working on 1st Sep. and want to post stock on 31.08.2008) then you have to go to Inspection Lot Stock Tab----> Click on 'DOC...' (Posting Date, Doc. Date) Then you can change the date as per your requirement.
I Hope that it will solve your problem.
Please close the Thread if you get your answer.
    Thanks.

  • Reversing a depreciation post

    Hi All,
i need to reverse a depreciation post created by AFAB.
Which t.code should I use? And which "transaction tipe" ?
    Thanks
    Umberto Gandalf

    Hi
If you have set the company code to productive, you cannot reverse the depreciation posting. However, you can
    1. Change the depreciation key in asset master and rerun depreciation. In that case system would manually adjust the depreciation on a pro rata basis
    2. Post any additional depreciation manually.

  • Reversing A/P Invoice posted with wrong date and inventory cost adjustment

    Here's the situation:
We had a PO dated 9/1/09 for items with a cost of $14.50, a Goods Receipt was entered 9/15/09 for the items with the same cost on the PO of $14.50.  Somehow the order got lost in the mix and the AP invoice wasn't entered until today, with a posting date of 1/21/10 and the cost was corrected per the original vendor invoice to the right amount of $19.33.  The invoice was actually dated 9/15/09.  This resulted in hitting the vendor, purchases clearing and the inventory account (for the cost adjustment) in January 2010 when it should have occurred in September 2009.
The inventory itself has come and gone in the time between the GR and when the invoice was done with the incorrect date.  Normally I would try to reverse the transaction with a Credit Memo and start over, however since the inventory side happened so long ago, I don't see any way of easily going backwards.  I thought about doing service CM/invoice but what I am most concerned about is having the inventory valuation occur properly at the correct time.  I'm not sure how to go about this.
Using SAP B1 2007A PL42 with moving average inventory.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Nicole,
I am afraid you may not have ability to do the adjustment based on historical date that long times ago.  You know, the moving average has limited calculation based on current quantity and cost.  There are no options to go backward especially new year is coming.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

    Physical Inventory:
Physical Inventory is a business process in which physical stock is matched with book (system) stock. It is legal requirement to carry out physical inventory at least once in a year.
Physical inventory can be carried out both for a companyu2019s own stock (Unrestricted, Quality, Blocked Stock) and for special stocks (Customer Consignment stock, Vendor consignment stock from vendor, Returnable packaging). This inventory is carried out saperately for both type of stocks.
    Physical Inventory Processes:
Several inventory processes available for physical inventory which includes as follow:
    1. Periodic Physical Inventory
o All stocks of the company are physically counted on the balance sheet key date
o Every material must be counted
o Entire warehouse must be blocked for material movements during count.
    2. Continuous Physical Inventory
o Stocks are counted continuously during the entire fiscal year.
o It is important to ensure that every material is physically counted at least once during the year.
    3. Cycle Counting
o In this method of physical inventory, inventory is counted at regular intervals within a fiscal year.
o These intervals (or cycles) depend on the cycle counting indicator set for the material in Material Master record as CC indicator in plant view data.
o With this Cycle Counting Method of Physical Inventory allows fast-moving items to be counted more frequently than slow-moving items.
    4. Inventory Sampling
o Randomly selected stocks of the company are physically counted on the balance sheet key date.
o If found not much variance between the counted stock and the book book stock, it is presumed that the book inventory balances for the other stocks are correct.
    Physical Inventory Process Cycle Flow
    1. Creation of physical inventory document
    - Physical inventory document(s) is created individually or using the batch program, click for more information
    - The transaction codes for creation physical inventory are as follow
    Individual Inventory documentation creation
MI01 - Individual physical inventory creation
MIS1 - Inventory Sampling document creation
MICN - Cycle count inventory document creation
    Collective Inventory document creation
MI31 - Own stock without special stock
    MIK1 - Vendor consignment
    MIQ1 - Project stock
    MIM1 - Returnable Transpiration material
    MIW1 - Customer Consignment stock
MIV1 - Returnable material with customer
MIO1 - Material provided to Vendor (Subcontracting material)
    2. Print physical inventory document
    - Physical Inventory document can be printed based on the physical inventory document status and or item status
    - Transaction code MI21 is used to print the inventory document where print default value can be populated
    3. Count the physical stock
    - Based on the inventory document printout, the warehouse person will check the stock of material physically and note that on print out. This is completely physical process.
    4. Enter count in system
    - On completion of physical count, the count result is needs to be entered in the system. This can be with reference (using Tcode MI04) or without reference (using Tcode MI04) to the physical inventory document.
    - If count quantity for that material is ZERO then select ZC (zero count) column instead of putting 0 in qty field. If 0 is used for zero count then systm will consider that as "not counted"
    5. Analyze difference
    - Once count is posted in the system, difference analysis can be carried out using transaction MI20
    - The output gives information based on the input criteria i.e. physical inventory document, plant, material etc.
    - The output gives information about the book quantity, Counted quantity, difference in quantity and value.
    - From this output list, you can carry out further process ie initiate recount, change count quantity, post difference
    6. Initiate recount and follow the steps 3,4,5
    - If found unacceptable difference, recount is initiated using directly from difference analysis list (transaction code MI20) or using transaction code MI11.
    - New inventory document will be created for selected items or for entire document
    - The original document items will be deactivated once recount is initiated so original document will not be available for further process.
    - On initiating recount, you need to process same as for new count document.
    7. Post the difference
    - Several options are available for posting difference
    - Post difference after count is posted using transaction code MI07
    - Posting the count and inventory differences using transaction code MI08, here you have created physical inventory but not counted so with this you can count and post difference in sinle step.
    - Entering the count without a document reference using trasnaction code MI10, with this you can create inventory document, enter the count and post difference in single step.
some more points for posting difference
    - Posting period must be open to post inventory difference.
    - The fiscal year is set by specifying a planned count date when creating a physical inventory document.
    - Tolerence to crear difference per user group can be set in customization.
    - The system will generate material document for the difference qty and post the value to appropriate account (for valuated stock)
    - The movement type in material document will be 701 or 702 based on gain or loss of material.
    Serial Numbers in Physical Inventory
If material is managed with serial number then it is possible to carry out physical inventory for material with serial number. There are some pre-requisite before you carry out physical inventory for serialized materials.
    - Serial number profile must be maintained in the material master.
    - the serialization procedure MMSL (maintaining goods receipt and goods issue documents) has to be assigned to serial number profile.
    - The stock check indicator in the serial number profile should be configured.
    - Maintain basic settings for the serial numbers in customization for Serial Number Profile.
    - Configure serial number management for physical inventory in the Settings for Physical Inventory step in Customizing for Inventory Management.
Blocked Stock Returns are the stock which is return stock from Customer or the stock which can be return back to vendor. To restrict the usage of this stock mostly business do transfer posting for this mateial as BLOCKED stock
