RFC invoke = error after 250 lines recovered...
Hello everybody,
I use SAP .Net connector 3 to create an application that makes a remote function call (RFC). This function takes a table in parameter and I expect another table in return which should as many or less lines as the one in parameter.
The problem is that I didn't manage to retrieve more than 250 values. I tried to split by package of 250 lines but the problem is still there. I just manage to retrieve 250 values and then got an error.
The only info I got from Visual Studio is "RfcAbapException". no message, no detail...
Please help me. I don't know how to do...
Hello everybody,
I talk to the SAP team in charge of all stuff related to SAP in my company. You will find the ABAP message further down. After many tries, they can't figure out what is the problem. For them, RFC function works well even with 300 or 400 lines.
So maybe the problem comes from my code??? I paste here my code. Please help !!!
/// <summary>
/// Call SAP and check the credit status of each order
/// </summary>
/// <param name="p_lstDNToCheck">The sub list of order to check</param>
static void makeSAPCreditCheck(List<DN> p_lstDNToCheck)
//Connection to SAP = destination
RfcDestination l_destination = RfcDestinationManager.GetDestination(Global.get_sapSystemName());
//Retrieve schema of the function we want to call
RfcFunctionMetadata l_funcMD = l_destination.Repository.GetFunctionMetadata("MY_FUNCTION");
try
//Create the function
IRfcFunction l_func = l_funcMD.CreateFunction();
//Retrieve Parameters
l_func.SetValue("IF_PROCTYPE", "F");
IRfcTable l_param = l_func.GetTable("IT_VBELN");
l_param.Append(p_lstDNToCheck.Count());
for (int li_i = 0; li_i < p_lstDNToCheck.Count(); li_i++)
DN l_dn = p_lstDNToCheck[li_i];
l_param[li_i].SetValue("SIGN", "I");
l_param[li_i].SetValue("OPTION", "EQ");
l_param[li_i].SetValue("LOW", l_dn.ORDER_NUMBER.ToString().PadLeft(10, '0'));
//Return values
IRfcTable l_res = l_func.GetTable("CT_POSTAB");
//Call remote function
l_func.Invoke(l_destination);
catch (RfcAbapException e)
Console.WriteLine("Error RfcAbapException : " + e.Message);
Console.WriteLine("Press key");
Console.ReadKey();
and here the ABAP message given when we try to retrieve more than 250 values ( for example 1call with 300 values => error, or 2 call with 150 values => 1st call ok, second one throw an error)
Runtime Error SAPSQL_IN_ITAB_ILLEGAL_OPTION
Error analysis
The current ABAP/4 program attempted to execute an ABAP/4 Open SQL
statement in which the WHERE condition contains an IN itab operator.
The IN itab operator is used with internal tables which
have the following structure:
SIGN(1) OPTION(2) LOW LIKE db_field HIGH LIKE db_field
The OPTION column should contain only one of the following values:
"EQ LE GE CP BT NE LT GT NP NB"
The value "I " is not allowed here.
How to correct the error
Use only one of the permitted values in the OPTION column.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"SAPSQL_IN_ITAB_ILLEGAL_OPTION" C
"SAPLV50Q" or "LV50QU07"
"WS_LM_DATA_SELECTION_FREE"
Information on where terminated
The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLV50Q" in
"WS_LM_DATA_SELECTION_FREE".
The main program was "SAPMSSY1 ".
The termination occurred in line 628 of the source code of the (Include)
program "LV50QU07"
of the source code of program "LV50QU07" (when calling the editor 6280).

RFC Lookup error after moving to Quality from Development
Hi All,
For a scenario,I am using the RFC Lookup in message mapping.
I am not using it in a UDF but for directly for an target element....
The scenario was wrkng properly in development... but in quality it's not wrkng giving the following error....
RuntimeException during appliction Java mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_ABC_DEF_GHI_JKL_ Thrown: com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException: com.sap.aii.mapping.api.UndefinedParameterException: The input-parameter ISU_RFC_Receiver does not exist. at com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf7.Transformer.start(Transformer.java:148) at com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf7.AMappingProgram.transform(AMappingProgram.java:620) at
The design part and Config part are done properly..

Jco call rfc throws error after WAS upgrade sp15
Hi all.
When 2 days ago, our WAS engine version is sp14.
And we have one application using jco library to connect to SAP R/3. It works well.
After we upgrade WAS to sp15.
This function throws out the error.
Umrechnungsfaktor konnte nicht bestimmt werden
Is there anybody can help me ? Its very urgent !Hi
A)Go to adming page http://<localhost>:<port> >>click Web Dynpro >>Content admin >> create, maintain, test Jco and also you can Test the SLD connection too
B)If you are using any JDBC driver,Check your JDBC driver is registered. or else you have register it
1. Start the Visual Admin tool
2. In the tab Cluster, open the node of the server you want to check.
3. Open the node Services under the server you want to check.
4. Click on the entry ClassLoader Viewer under Services. 5. The components are displayed in the right window. Open the node Applications in the right window.
6. Look for the entry sap.com/com.sapportals.connectors.database and click on it.
Under sap.com/com.sapportals.connectors.database, your JDBC driver should be available

Sc not transfered to backend rfc error after bapi_po_create1 ?
I have one user who's shoppingcarts are not transferred to the backend. when I try to transfer it manually with BBP_PD_SC_TRANSFER I get an rfc error after the bapi_po_create1
for the rest the whole system is functioning as it should but only for this user the shoppingcarts are not transfered. I also don't get any errors back from the bapi.
anybody got a clue what can be wrong with this particular user ?
I checked everything in ppoma but can't find any flaws or errors.
kind regards

I am a bit closer to the answer I guess. no there were no erros given with BAPI_PO_CREATE1
fuzzy part however with the sc was that there was only an acc_no of 002. since the last hrsps on the backend the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 gave errors back that it didn't accept 002 without a 001
so I checked in a badi if there were acc_no with 02 and 100% costassignment and transfered these back to 01
with the badi BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW. that was working very nice until one user could not transfer any shoppingcart anymore. I saw that she had a workprocedure that caused the 02 acc_no (she used copy paste) when I let her do it without copy paste and just change it then the shoppingcart created a PO.
but I'm puzzled what I'm missing here and why it most of the times work but sometimes it just doesn't give any errors back and no purchasenr but just an exception others.
can I debug this further on in the backend somehow what causes the exception ?
kind regards

Help me resolve this
Regards,
Mahesh.Hi,
Please follow this steps:
Creating RFC Destinations in the ABAP and Java Environment
You need to create the following RFC destinations in transaction SM59 (ABAP) and the Visual Administrator (Java):
u2022 AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
u2022 AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
u2022 LCRSAPRFC
u2022 SAPSLDAPI
Depending on your client settings, it may be necessary to be logged on your SAP Exchange Infrastructure host as SAP system user with the authorization to maintain customizing tables and to release transport orders. Note, that user "SAP*" or "DDIC" does not have these authorizations.
Maintaining the RFC Connections (Transaction SM59)
1. Log on to your SAP Exchange Infrastructure central instance host.
2. Call transaction SM59.
3. Choose Create.
4. Enter at least the following:
RFC destination: AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
Connection type: T
Description: <your description>
5. Choose ENTER
6. Choose the tab Technical settings and do the following:
a. Select Registered Server Program
b. In the Program ID field, enter: AI_RUNTIME_<SID> where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your Integration Server host. Use uppercase letters only.
c. Enter Gateway host and Gateway service of your Integration Server host. To find out the required parameters:
a. On the Integration Server host, call transaction SMGW
b. Choose Goto u2192 Parameters u2192 Display (see entries for gateway hostname and gateway service)
7. Choose tab Special Options and select the flag Unicode in the box Character Width in Target System.
8. Save your settings.
9. Repeat the steps 3 u2013 8 for the remaining destinations:
Destination
Values
AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
Program ID: AI_DIRECTORY_<SID>, where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your SAP XI host
LCRSAPRFC
Program ID: LCRSAPRFC_<SID>, where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your SAP XI host.
SAPSLDAPI
Program ID: SAPSLDAPI_<SID>, where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your SAP XI host.
10. Leave the transaction SM59 open for later tests.
J2EE Configuration for the Destinations (Visual Administrator)
1. On your SAP Exchange Infrastructure central instance host, start the J2EE Engine administration tool.
2. Choose Cluster u2192 Server u2192 Services u2192 JCo RFC Provider
3. In the section RFC destination, enter exactly the same program ID and gateway options for AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER that you used in the step Maintaining the RFC connection above. Additionally, set the number of processes to 10.
4. In the section Repository, do the following:
a. Enter the parameter for the SAP XI host: Application Server, System Number, Client and Language.
b. For User and Password maintain the login parameters for the user SAPJSF.
c. Select the flag Unicode.
6. Choose Set.
7. Repeat the steps 3 u2013 6 for the remaining destinations:
Destination
Values
AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
u2022 Corresponding values from SM59
u2022 Number of processes: 10
LCRSAPRFC
u2022 Corresponding values from SM59
u2022 Number of processes: 3
SAPSLDAPI
u2022 Corresponding values from SM59
u2022 Number of processes: 3
Testing the RFC Destination
After you have maintained all RFC destinations in both the ABAP and Java environment, you can check all the connections above as follows:
1. Call transaction SM59 again.
2. Open your RFC destination.
3. Choose Test Connection. No error should be displayed.
This will solve your problem.
Thanks

Runtime Errors SYNTAX_ERROR
Date and Time 19.04.2008 17:51:58
ShrtText
Syntax error in program "SAPLXVVA ".
What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLVKMP" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
In program "SAPLXVVA ", the following syntax error occurred
in the Include "ZXVVAU04 " in line 5:
"The last statement is not complete (period missing)."
Author and last person to change the Include are:
Author "SAPUSER "
Last changed by "SAPUSER "
What can you do?
Please eliminate the error by performing a syntax check
(or an extended program check) on the program "SAPLXVVA ".
You can also perform the syntax check from the ABAP/4 Editor.
If the problem persists, proceed as follows:
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.
Error analysis
In program "SAPLXVVA ", the following syntax error occurred:
"The last statement is not complete (period missing)."
How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
Save->Local File (unconverted)".
2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
"System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

PIF_POSNRHi Kartik,
Could you please be more clearer as to how do you want me to proceed so that this syntax error stops bothering me while creating a standard order thru TCode VA01.Also what do you mean by "well comment the code in the include and activate the include"
I created a projet in CMOD and than added the enhancement V45A0002.The components shown as EXIT_SAPMV45A_002(Predefined sold to party when making the standard order),i double click on the exit and entered into the function module.After that i double clicked on the include ZXVVZU04 and entered in and wrote E_KUNNR=100171
While activating i got error msg 'The last statement is not complete (period missing)." & i have saved inspite the error .After that i tried to create a order and program terminated error came after entering sold to party no. in sales order
so now i have deactivated the project which i created in CMOD & deleted the project also inspite of this i am getting the program terminated error while making the order
I would be great ful if somebody helps me *** out of this syntax error.
Thanks
Rishi -
Error after upgrading to portal 4.0 sp2
Does anyone know what causes this error and how to fix it? I started getting this
error after I upgraded to portal server sp2.
Thanks in advance,
Tim

This exception usually means that the target for application-config.xml is not correct. We usually see this happening in a
clustered configuration because the target for application-config needs to be to both the adminserver and the cluster. It is not
possible to target the application-config.xml using the console and you will have to edit the config.xml to have the correct
targetting. For a cluster, the relevant lines in config.xml would be something like:
<ApplicationConfiguration Name="portal"
Targets="AdminServer,MyCluster" URI="META-INF/application-config.xml"/>
Hope that helps,
Ted

VaibhavHi Vaibhav,
Make ensure you have installed <b>MSXML Parser</b> on you desktop/TP.
If not you can download it from following link http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/default.aspx
(Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0)
After installation just do quick reboot your system and then try.

gateway service: sapgwxx
Registered program id: xxx
It is giving me the following error:

Can anyone help me in troubleshooting the issue.
Also I am not able to register this program id in Visual Admin -> Services -> JCo RFC Provider. Here it is giving me an error. Can anyone guide me in this?
Points to be rewarded for any kind of small help.Thanks Ramesh.
I followed the blog. Here are the steps that I did.
RFC destination:
1. To create the RFC go to TCODE: SM59 <b>-> Done</b>2. Create new destination of type T (TCP/IP) <b>-> Done</b>
3. Make sure you select Registered Server Program option before writing your program ID <b>-> Done</b>
4. Write you program ID (remember it's case-sensitive) <b>-> gave the SID name</b>
5. In the gateway host and gateway service write the values of your "Application system" - business system (not the XI server) <b>-> Typed the gateway hostname and gateway service "sapgw<instance no>", that I got from SMGW.</b>
But still I face the same problem. It get the following error:
Logon Connection Error

BAPI Error: No schedule lines due for delivery up to the selected date
Hi,
I have created a program to create delivery orders with reference to sales orders using BAPI - BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CREATE_SLS.
After execution I get the error: No schedule lines due for delivery up to the selected date
Please help.
Thanks in advance!!!
Regards,
Sriramhi,
this is to inform you that,
please check the schedule line date in the sales order because the date is not matching here for the BAPI to upload.
here, for example the schedule line is 4 days after and you are running BAPI today. that will mismatch no.
the same thing is happening in uploading case also.
so please check the date.
because in teh sales order if teh schedule line date is today it will accept the uploading with out throwing any errors.
regards,
balajia
