RoboHelp 8 closes while compiling

Hi - i have recently upgraded to RoboHelp 8. I have successfuly compiled both .chm and .html projects since then. Today i opened a project (on my local PC) with a default setting of Web Help and compiled and published the files. I then tried, through Single Source, to compile in .chm format and it closed RoboHelp in the second half of the compilation (thus i cannot see errors). I restarted the PC and the same happened. I took an older version of the help file, made the updates and tried to directly compile to .chm and the same happened.
Please help me locate the problem.

Try with one of the supplied sample projects.
You will find the samples at
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 8\RoboHTML\Samples\en_US
or
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Technical Communication Suite 2\Adobe RoboHelp 8\RoboHTML\Samples\en_US

  • Error while compiling Web Dynpro program due to missing JAR files

    Hi Experts,
    I am getting error message while compiling Web Dynpro program. The erring lines are as below:
              Message message = new MimeMessage(session);
              try {
                   message.setFrom(new InternetAddress(fromMailId));
                   message.addRecipient(
                        Message.RecipientType.TO,
                        new InternetAddress(toMailId));
                   message.setSubject(mailSubject);
                   message.setText(mailBody);
                   message.setHeader("X-Mailer", "E-Mail");
                   message.setSentDate(new Date());
                   Transport.send(message);
    The error messages are:

    Can you please help me in resolving the issue. It seems that some API is missing. I believe if some one can tell me the name of JAR file / API then I will be able to sort out the issue. I will add these JAR file in my program.
    Thanks,
    S

    HI Stuart,
    you are missing the jar files required for sending mail in java
    Installing JavaMail
    You will need the latest version of JavaMail (Version 1.2) available here:
    http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/
    Download and unzip the file, in the newly created top level JavaMail directory you will find a number of jar files,
    these need adding to your classpath.
    To do this in Eclipse, right click on your project in the tree view, select properties, select the libraries tab.
    Now click the 'Add external jars' button, navigate to your JavaMail directory and click on the jars.
    The tutorial also makes use of the Java Activation Framework, which is available here:
    http://java.sun.com/products/javabeans/glasgow/jaf.html
    Instalation of JAF is identical to JavaMail
    activation.jar / mail.jar are 2 distinct names i remember rest you will get above
    P.S: close the question to assist other users narrow the search and find solutions

    hi gyan,
    I have.t implemented the code in the AM but I implemented the code in CO.
    I am pasting the AMImple code below
    public class AgingAMImpl extends OAApplicationModuleImpl
    * This is the default constructor (do not remove)
    public AgingAMImpl()
    // OAViewObject objAssessmentVO = (OAViewObject)AgingAM.findViewObject("AgingVO1");
    * Sample main for debugging Business Components code using the tester.
    public static void main(String[] args)
    launchTester("wnsgs.oracle.apps.ap.buckets.server", "AgingAMLocal");
    * Container's getter for AgingVO1
    public OAViewObjectImpl getAgingVO1()
    return (OAViewObjectImpl)findViewObject("AgingVO1");

  • Robohelp HTML Not Compiling and not responding

    I have several HTML help files that I have made and are in
    the midst of editing. Once I have edited them, Robohelp will not
    compile again. It states that the file has been genertated but when
    I select "View Result" it can't find it.
    I have found some files joining together and some corrupted.
    Also Robo help is taking a very long time to open and save. I just
    finished a brand new help file and when I pressed "Save" 15 minutes
    ago, it is still reading the file.
    The more help files I do, the slower it gets and quits
    responding.
    What Can I do to fix this?

    I am having a similar problem. However, my circumstances are
    somewhat different.
    1) I am able to save and compile the project. However, each
    time that I save a topic, I can wait up to a minute or more for the
    process to complete.
    2) My project size is currently 113 MB (It will certainly be
    double or triple this size before I'm done.)
    2) I do have .CPD files...two of them, in fact. One dates
    from the point I initiated the project (or soon thereafter). The
    other is dated as of today with a time as of a recent save.
    3) When I see the Not Responding display at the top of the
    screen, I find that right clicking up to three times while waiting
    15-60 seconds between clicks seems to push the process along.
    4) My project path is C:\Program Files\RoboHelp
    Office\RoboHTML\Javalina Online Help (CS)
    5) IT tells me that I have one of the more recently purchased
    PCs in the office. My employer is a software design firm, so I
    imagine that the problem wouldn't be hardware related.
    I, too, would appreciate any tips you might have to offer.

  • Error while compiling model in Visual Composer 7.1.

    Hi,
    I am getting a error while compiling model in Visual Composer 7.1.
    An exception occurred at the server while running the build process, reason: Extension with id com.sap.vc.runtimeproviders.null not found. For more details please refer to the log file.
    Can any one please tell me what the error is?

    Hello
    This problem usually indicates the model Runtime provider is not set properly
    Please goto configure pane and check the RT provider that is et for the model or any other model in the same DC
    Also services usages require this property to be set accordingly
    To make sure the services are set properly please look into the configuration pane when the respective service usage is selected (and check the same)
    Please let me know if this helped or not

  • Getting a bad bind variable error while compiling a custom form in R12

    Hi,
    I am getting a bad bind variable error while compiling a custom form.
    I tried setting the forms_path variable and I am still getting the error. Can anyone please suggest what can be done?
    DECLARE
    BEGIN
    IF :parameter.p_line_ship_to = 'T'
    THEN
    IF :SYSTEM.cursor_item = 'LINE.SHIP_TO'
    THEN
    :parameter.lov_num_param1 := :line.ship_to_customer_id;
    oe_lines.ship_to ('WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM');
    :parameter.lov_num_param1 := :line.ship_to_customer_id;
    END IF;
    :parameter.p_line_ship_to := 'F';
    END IF;
    END;
    I am getting this error:
    Bad bind variable 'parameter.p_line_ship_to'

    The Parameter is not defined in the form.. But, this form is already been compiled and deployed.. I have to make some changes to the form and tried to compile it, when i am getting this error. Is it possible that the parameter would be defined in some other form or can this error be due to some other reasons?
    Thanks in Advance.

    And also if client and application server is in same mechine which interface must be used to talk client with session bean?
    Please help me!

    1) It looks like you have an error in JDBC configuration.
    The main string is "Class name is wrong or classpath is not set for : oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource
    Check out JDBC connection pools and resources.
    2) If your beans and client there are at the same JVM you can use local interface, else use remote interface.

    Apparently you are trying to mix 32-bit code and 64-bit code. You must ensure that the 32-bit or 64-bit option is used consistently on every command, compiling and linking. The form of the option can depend on the version of the C compiler you are using, and whether you are on an x86 or sparc system. Consult the Pro*C and C compiler documentation.

  • Syntax error while compiling

    Hi Gurus,
    I have started with VC and while compiling a model, I get a syntax error in Fiscalyear (variable in the query).
    the message is "The expression in field 'FiscalYear' contains an error: Syntax error".
    "Stopped due to errors"
    Have no clues as the other variable (Cost center) is working fine.
    We are on NW7.0 SP13
    Tks
    KS

    Hi
    Right click on the joining line after that form. Go to the field mapping & go to the field for the 'Fiscal Year'
    Do following changes
    If by default you are getting there '@Fiscal year' then make it '@Fiscal year_Key' means whatever is there, just add "_key" after that. Then instead of compiling & deploying, Directly Deploy the model & then check if you are getting any error.

  • Critical Error while compiling / exporting *.ipa with AIR16

    Hey,
    my application crashed while compiling with AIR16. (Flex 4.13.0-AIR 16.0) With AIR15 it works well.
    First I thought, the reason might be the included ANE, but it isn't. The ANE works fine with another project. In fact other projects also work with AIR16.
    The project works fine in the Simulator without any crashes or compile errors!
    We've built a lot of test-apps including the same components and libraries as in this app, but we are not able to reproduce this crash in other projects.
    Edit: We just tested an *.apk export. works also fine!
    Any ideas?
    EDIT:
    Tried out AIR17beta. And who wonderes? It works!
    But I really want to know, what the problem is/was!

  • Error while compiling xdk C sample program

    hello,
    the following error happens with xdk version 9.2.0.6 and oracle 9.2.0.4 installed on linux SUSE 9.1:

    and so on.
    Has anybody had this problem before? What's wrong with the libraries?
    Thanks in advance.

    I don't see a specific Proc or precompiler forum around here.
    Perhaps your best bet would be at [Call interface (OCI)|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=67] forum or maybe [SQL and PL/SQL|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=75] since it's more of a developers' forum.

  • Error while compiling package

    Hi,
    While compiling an invalid package i get this error, But the coding in the package has no error.
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [psdtyfnd_with_suffix],[],[],[],[],[],[],[]

    I have similar problem.
    I droped all object from scheme but one package won't drop.
    Now when I try drop this package or user,
    I get ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [psdtyfnd_with_suffix], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
    There is no possibility to drop, recompile, replace this package. Everithing ends with error. There is no other object in scheme.
    Even package has no body. So I try to create it. Package body was created with warnings but I still can't see it. When I create it again then I get ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object.
    I use Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.3.0 on Linux
    All experiments I do as SYSDBA.
