Rollback from one humantask previous humantask in BPEL process flow

We have requirement to rollback from current Human task stage to previous human task in BPEL process flow. What are best way to achieve this?

what I understood is that your forms may call any of the 3 databases. give a try to Dynamic PartnerLink http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/bpel_cookbook/carey.html. You will have one parent process that will be called by the forms. Now this bpel process based on the parameters sent by form, will call any of the three bpel process pointing to three different databases.
Please explain in further details if my understanding is wrong.

1. What does this "*" refer to in the query and how can I retrieve the value of LENGTH*WIDTH* HEIGHT from the query where LENGTH,WIDTH and HEIGHT are the individual field in the table.
2.What does this " AS" refer to? If " ITEM_CUBE " is the alies for the table name "ITEM" to retrieve the value, then query shoud be evaluated as

I am using DB adapter of Oracle JDeveloper in BPEL process flow, where I can able to select only one master table in DB adapter say SUPPLIER and its attributes at a time.But as per my requirment I need to select both the table (CUBE and SUPPLIER) in a single adapter to execute my query.
It can be achievable by using two DB adapter , One to execute the nested query and another to execute the main qyery considering value of nested query as a parameter.But I want to achieve it by using a single one.
Am I correct with my concept?
Please suggest how to get it ?

Mapping the xsd:any tag from one schema to other in BPEL

I am using soa suite 11g
I have 2 schemas with <xsd:any> tag
at run time the xml based on one xsd can have tags as below in place of xsd:any tag

I can create a DVM to have mapping of attribute id's values 1001 -5001 ,1002-5002 but how to wire/map the any nodes and the attribute id element of one any node to other in XSLT mapper.At design time I am not aware that what all tags can substitute in place of any.
I need to map these two any tags.How to do this in transform activity xslt mapper in BPEL.It does not allow me to directly wire two any tags
Request someone to help me on this.stuck on this for long .

I have figured out that with xpath and copy-of operation I can copy all nodes that come in place of xsd:any from one schema to other .But beofre copying I want to change the attribute values of the node that come in place of xsd:any based on the mapping stored in the DVM.Request some one to please help .

I am designing work-flow of my application through BPEL(JDeveloper), I am making different BPEL projects for different functions, like sales manager got the order from sales person and sales manager either approve it or reject it, if he approve it it goes to Production manager and he ships the goods, now I want to keep sales person, sales manger,production manager in seperate BPEL files and want to get the output of sales person to sales manager and sales manager to production manager please help me in dong this.
I was trying to make partner link in Sales manager of sales person and getting the input from there. I dont know this is right even or not, if it is right I dont know how to make data flow from one application to other.
Experience people please guide.

Yes you can do this.
If you each integration point to be in different process, you have to create three BPEL process.
1. Create a Async BPEL process 'A' which will be initiated when sales person creates the order.
2. From BPEL process 'A' call a ASync BPEL process 'B' which has the approval flow. Depending on the input from process 'A' the sales manager will review the order in workflow and approve or reject and send the result back to process 'A'.
3. Based on the result from workflow, invoke the Sync BPEL process 'C', where you can implement the shipping logic.

I'm using 11g adf.
I have a requiement to get parameters value from one jsff to another jsff .
In bounded taskflow , the trans.jff has parameters which i have to carry to couple of detaill.jsff (5 jsff).
In between trans.jsff and detail.jsff am using router to validate the path to call particular detail.jsff.
Issue now i need some parameter value to send from trans.jsff to detail.jsff.
i have used below in trans.jsff :

For example, you have two variable V_ENV_TYPE (with type of environment) and V_TEXT ("Failed mapping <mapping name>"). Define additinal variable V_NEW_TEXT, bind Variable parameter of Assign activity to V_NEW_TEXT variable and define value in Assign activity as

Response not coming to BPEL process from the actionable email

Hello Helping hands,
I created a HumanTask workflow with actionable email.
In the email I get from the HT workflow process, it has 3 links
2-OUTCOMES list links (Eg:APPROVE,REJECT)
1-worklist application
If I update the task through worklist, the process is getting completed successfully.
But the problem is with the actionable email, if I move the mouse over APPROVE or REJECT the following msg gets displayed in the status bar

I had faced a similar issue.
When the bpel process is initiated you will get an email to the configured email id's inbox.
Make sure you reply to the mail from the same email account.
Example : If the email comes to [email protected] id , make sure you reply from the same id.

How to pass multiple values while invoking bpel process from ADF?

I want to call a bpel process from my ADF application. The bpel process is having one input parameter. I have created webservice data control by using WSDL url.
Lets say, I have an Emp multi select table. I drag and drop the data control into Emp table selection facet to create an "Invoke" button.
I am able to pass single value (lets say Empid) to the bpel process after clicking the "Invoke" button.
But, my requirement is to pass all the selected values ( as its a multi select table) to the bpel process after clicking the "Invoke" button once.
How can I achieve this?

if the BPEL method that you access allows you to pass arrays or lists, then you can get a list of selectedRowKeys from the table, which then you use to get the value from the underlying binding or the table. This however requires some Java coding instead of directly invoking the executable on the binding layer
- you create the BPEL method in the binding layer
- from a Java managed bean you call ADFBindingContext --> get current instance and access Binding container
- OperationBinding oper = (OperationBinding ) bindings.get("method to invoke");

Problem in deploying a migrated bpel process from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3

I had migrated a bpel process developed 10.1.2 to 10.1.3. After migration I had modified a bpel process flow and tried to deploy it.
But I am facing a following error:
Error: Failed to compile classes.Failed to compile the generated BPEL classes for "RoutingBpel".
Can modify the bpel process flow once we migrate from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3?

You can modify the process after migration, it shouldn't be a problem. Can you post the complete error message? Are you using any java embeddings?

Throwing a fault from an asynchronous bpel process

Hi,
can anyone please let me know how i can throw a fault to the calling client from an asynchronous bpel process?
(synchronous bpel uses the fault of the reply activity to do the same - i want a similar thing in a callback-invoke of an asynchronous process or any other way to do it if at all)
please let me know if it is possible becoz it was a requirement put forward by a customer and i just want to develop a proof of concept to the same.

I'm using BPEL process manager for calling a asynchronous web service,I can invoke the service from BPEL and the service is invoked correctly,but when I view the business process flow in BPEL Console my process is stopped at receive state and doesn't pass it.
Could anybody tell me if any thing should be set to receive a callback from an asynchronous web service to BPEL process?
Is it true that BPEL process receives a callback automatically (using a callback operation which I defined in my web service WSDL) on the same port type that normally receives the requested information, with an invoke activity?
So what could be wrong with my process or invoked web service that the BPEL process doesn't get any reply from my web service and remains in receive activity?

ii)Two step proces:in this the receiving plant has to do the MIGO i.e., goods receipt.movement type of supplying plant is 643

PHP always invokes Two BPEL process Instances

Hello All:
I have a BPEL process that I want to invoke from a PHP form. The problem that I'm having is that every time that I invoke the BPEL process from PHP, two instances of that BPEL process get created and invoked in the BPEL manager.
Has anyone experienced this problem? I know that when I log into the BPEL console and initiate a test instance, I only get one, so my feeling is that it may be PHP. Here is a list of my environments:
BPEL Server Environment
OS Version - Microsoft Windows XP
Oracle SOA Suite v10.1.3.1.0
Oracle BPEL Console v10.1.3.1.0
Client Environment
Server Software - Apache/2.0.55 (Win32)
OS Version - Microsoft Windows XP

If you are using a tool like: soapui.org (Opensource SOAP client tool), and create a soap request, do you get the same behavior. If so, there is an issue in BPEL, otherwise in your PHP environment.

Yes it is having a receive activity , it receives the cXML from Ariba Adaapter. I checked the adapter it is up.
I generated the jar and deployed through BPEL console still i get the same error.

Accessing BPEL processes via a proxy web service performance issues

Hello,
I have more BPEL processes implemented, each such a process implementing business functionality in a certain domain (generally, a domain has more business processes).
The request was to provide a single web service for each domain. It means that all the business methods (processes) in the same domain should be accessed through the same web service. This request doesn't make possible to expose the BPEL processes themselves as web services that could be directly consumed by different clients of the application.
The alternative will be to implement the "domain" web services through a Java class, for instance. With this approach, the Java based domain web services will expose the needed business methods to the clients. And the Java class will get the request input parameters and will call the corresponding BPEL process via SOAP. This scenario would be fine, but... this approach would imply a supplementary marshalling/unmarshalling process at the domain web service level. The data returned by the BPEL processes could be very large and in such a situation the Java based domain web service will introduce an important performance drawback.
Is there any other solution to this case that will allow the using of a "proxy" domain web services that will not introduce any important drawback via marshalling/unmarshalling?

I understand that it is possible to create a BPEL process that exposes multiple operations/messages. This would be exactly what I need: a single process (web service) that will expose many operations. Could anyone, please, point me to such an example?
So far I thought that there is possible to have only one operation exposed with a BPEL process, what is delimited between the receive/reply blocks (in the synchronous case).

Problems with: orcl:lookup-xml in BPEL process transformation activity

All,
I'm trying to do a lookup (using orcl:lookup-xml) from a transform activity within a BPEL process.
The function editor in JDeveloper tells me that the following params are needed:
- docURL
- parentXPath
- keyXPath
- lookupXPath
- key
All of this is clear! In the examples I can find on the oracle site, the value for the docURL is always like: "file:/x:/somefile.xml". This works fine when I test the xsl on my local development pc. However when I deploy to my test environment (SOA Suite on Linux) this file reference isn't going to work obviously.
I want the docURL to point to an XML file which I include in the deploy of the BPEL process. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Is this xml-file on some relative path of your bpel process, or can you ship it in the same directory inwhich also the .bpel file exists ?
