Rollover button css styled with php function: possible?

Hi,
I created a working rollover button css styled, with normal href links, using this html:
<p class="button"><a href="link"><click here><span>Text</span></a></p>
But I would like to know how I can create a "contact us" button with following php function included:
<?=createMailto('[email protected]')?>

Well, I wrote the button code as mentioned in my first post, but the button does not call the email php function. When I replace the link in a href="link" with the php function, I can't get it to work.
I have to use href to get the button to display, and to change state on hover; but I don't know how to get the php function to work. Using this function as a plain function call within a regular <p> tag works.

Adding a button with zoom function

Hello,
I am working on a product catalog and for this purpose we have used a professional photographer to shoot product photos. The photos are really nice and they can be zoomed in to see every detail clearly. The photos have been inserted into the pdf catalog but because of the limited space they are not very detailed.
Is it possible to add a button or link with zoom function? For example, an icon such as a magnifier or just the word zoom so when a user clicks it, it will zoom in the pre set area to a pre set level and center it.
Sounds quite fancy right? Maybe i'm thinking the impossible... but it's worth a try here :)

ok. i got it! :))
i have made some changes myself. When the mouse enters button1, button2 becomes visible and button1 becomes hidden (otherwise it is overlapping button2). I have set this in the actions of button1. I would also add the following function: when visible button2 is clicked it hides button2 (this you have already shown and works) and makes button1 visible again. I guess making button1 visible again has to be done with a Javascript in the actions of button2 under mouse up.
I have no knowledge of programming. Can you tell me how to do this?
After i openen the pdf file and used this function and close the pdf file it asks to save the pdf file. How can i prevent this to show up? I dont want this to happen to my customers.
Is it possible to see the exact dimensions of the button? Then i could create both buttons so that they fit in my catalog exactly as i want them, and then check the dimensions and scale my photos to it. Although it seems that Acrobat does something with the photo size already as the photo in button2 is 34mb while the pdf file is only 200kb.

I need to access a function module via RFC. We have a Web Dynpro component which uses that model, so the most convenient way would be create a new Web Dynpro application, reference the model Dynpro, and incorporate the appropriate business logic.
However, based on the values retrieved from the called RFC, I need to redirect the response to a different URL and/or PCD path.
With an AbstractPortalComponent iView, it's fairly simple to use the response.redirect() method...
Is the same functionality more or less available for a Web Dynpro iView?

I think I understand but just to make it clear. I use texts created using function module "SAVE_TEXT". In my Web Dynpro I select one or more of them and use the button "insert text" (with appropriate functionality behind it) to insert them to specified location in my PDF form opened in this Web Dynpro. Considering what you said it is not possible to replace this "insert text" button by drag and drop functionality. Am I correct?

How to make edges of rollover button straight

I was using rollover pjc in my forms....
I am setting these properties of the buttons...
--> setting the 'label' property to [ROLLOVER]add
--> setting 'implementation class' property to
'oracle.forms.demos.enhancedItems.RolloverButton'
My rollover buttons are dislayed with rounded edges....
I want to make the edges of my rollover buttons
straight(like sqaure edges). please let me know how do i do that.

Judging by the source code of RolloverButton.java, it looks like that demo will always use rounded buttons.
If you want normal shaped buttons, then you should modify RolloverButton.java or create your own Java class based on it and change it. The change should be to not use setLeftmost(true) and setRightmost(true). By setting them to true you are telling the button to treat the button as if it's the leftmost or rightmost button, which will round that end (or both).

Help with trying to make a rollover button

I'm trying to make a roll over button using this tutorial

and it doesn't seem to do what the tutorial says it will do 2-3 steps in.

Mine does not create a gradient that looks like the image they have presented.
I just have the entire wood look, and then the outline of my button is just a little darker. I don't get the white background with the gradient applied to it in the button space.

When you create the button look in the upper left hand corner of the screen and see what type of object you are creating. Placing the mouse of the the three buttons will give you a tool tip of what they are.
The one you want is the one on the right as it will create a pixel based rectangle. Make sure you put this rectangle on its own layer, then you can move it or delete it if necessary. Lock the transparency7 button at the top of the layers panel. The will make sure when you create the gradient it will put it inside the button you made and not outside of it.
If you are seeing just a border I am thinking the middle button in the top tool bar is selected which creates a path. It is possible to fill that path and then create the gradient but you have to make sure that the lock transparency is not checked. Open the paths panel and at the bottom of the panel is a fill button. This creates a pixel based object which you can then create a transparency using the steps above.

The firmware update corrects an error that may occur, however the techs would have checked the condition of the battery prior to installing a new one. If the battery was questionable, the firmware update was really not too important.
You can check the battery condition by going to the apple, left side of the menu bar, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Power and see what it says about Cycle Count, Condition, Capacity: Condition anything but Normal needs to be checked and may need to be replaced.
The cycle count of 1,000 charge cycles is the typical life of a Lithium-Ion battery, the point at which the capacity drops to 80% of the as built capacity.

Problem with PHP, CSS & Code Navigator in CS4

I've got al little problem with code navigator. To show the problem, I created this 3 files:
test1.html
The CSS-Definition is defined static, with simple HTML.

The Problem in Dreamweaver CS4
When opening the test.html - File in Dreamweaver CS4, I can easily see the CSS-Definition of the <p>-Tag in Code Navigator. To edit these definition I can simple open the test.css by clicking on the definition in Code navigator. For a complex webpage this is a greate feature. Sadly, this does not work, when I open the test2.php. Although when going to Live View and selecting the <p>-Tag I can see the CSS-Definition and the file in which it is defined in Code Navigator. But by clicking on the definition the test.css DOES NOT OPEN!
Has anybody a solution? Because many of our projects have dynamic CSS-Definitions, it would be a shame, if this would not work.

Note that the include file contains the opening and closing style tags.
By including your styles like this in a PHP include file, Dreamweaver applies the CSS in Design view (you don't need to turn on Live View). Holding down the Alt key while clicking in Design view brings up the Code Navigator with all the details of the CSS. The one missing link in the chain is that clicking the style selector in the Code Navigator does not open the CSS file. However...
The file that contains the CSS is listed in the Related Files toolbar, so you can edit it in Split view, and see the results in Design view in exactly the same way as with an HTML page and ordinary style sheet.
As I say, not the full solution that you wanted, but it might be something worth experimenting with.

Please help! How can I validate Radio Buttons and List Menu with PHP.

Hello everyone, I have been learning PHP step by step and
making little projects.
The point is I find it easy to learn by doing "practical
projects."
I have been reading the David Powers's Book on PHP Solutions
and it's really great, however there is nothing mentioned regarding
Validating Radio buttons. I know the book cannot cover every aspect
of PHP and maybe someone in here can help.
I have been learning how to process HTML forms with PHP.
The problem is every book or tutorial I have read or
encountered fall short on validation.
I'm wondering how I can learn to validate Radio Buttons and
Select List Menu.
I have managed to create validation for all other fields but
have no clue as to how I can get validation for Radio Buttons and
List Menu.
I would also like an error message echoed when the user does
not click a button or make a selection and try to submit the form.
I would appreciate any help.

It's not that default value is "None." In fact it's not. It
will only be
"none" when the form is submitted.
Also if your submit button is names 'send' then
$_POST['send'] will only be
set if the form was submitted.
Make sure you didn't hit the refresh button on your browser
which usually
reposts the information. Also make sure you did not reach the
form from
another form with the same button names.
Otherwise paste the snippet.
Also you can check what fields are set in the post array by
adding this to
the top of (or anywhere on) your page:

PSD Rollover Button with image in front stops button from changing state

I have a wide PSD button that changes state when rolled over. I would like to place a PNG image with transparency in some areas over the top of it so that the rollover button shows through the transparent areas of the PNG.
How can you get it to do the rollover effect when the user mouses over the bit of the button that the image is in front of? Is ther a way of making the PNG 'invisible' to the mouse?
I know I could redesign the button so that it includes the image but I'm trying to keep file sizes and load times to a minimum, I use this button a lot on my website with a different on each, and having that number of individual buttons would result in a bloated, slow-loading website.

Thanks for your reply. I was able to achieve the effect I wanted by having the PNG and the PSD Button with the same link and then grouping them. This means I can mouse over the PNG and still get the PSD rollover effect, which is perfect.
However I also have another similar problem. I have some different PSD Rollover Buttons which have some text in front of them (basically it's the button label). On some of these buttons when you roll over the text it prevents the rollover state of the button, and on other buttons the rollover effect occurs as it should, and there doesn't appear to be any consistency about which does what. Grouping or ungrouping doesn't appear to make a difference. Can you help?

Enable data paging with parameters count() on new php function issue (BUG?)

I've got my app prototyped quickly with the default settings in Flex Builder 4. Now I'm going back and adding/modifying features to polish the app off.
For this application I'm using PHP5 as the server side.
The data paging is really cool and simple to call using the default settings. However, I'm running into issues with customizing the data paging feature.
This is the default header of the php function that was created for me:

Instead of dumping all data back to the function I want to be able to search on certain fields so I created a new function called:
getTblbrowserrecord_search_paged ($szName, $szIP, $szRule, $szURL, $szDateLow, $szDateHigh, $szCode, $startIndex, $numItems ) {...}
The new function is tested and operates as designed.
I set the input types of the variables and return type (Tblbrowserrecord[]) of the new function then went to enable data paging. The first screen came up and asked me for the key to use which I selected. The next screen came up and asked me for the number of records which I set to 100 then went to select the count operation.
I initially selected the automatically created count() function but it came up with the error " Count operation parameters should match the paged operation parameters list."
So I created another function to match the search function's parameter's list:
public function count_searched($szName, $szIP, $szRule, $szURL, $szDateLow, $szDateHigh, $szCode, $startIndex, $numItems) {...}
But I still ge the error "Count operation parameters should match the paged operation parameters list."
But they DO match. I looked at the default functions that were created by FB4 and noticed that the automatically generated function count() has no parameters and the paged function has the two functions $startIndex and $numItems which are not identical yet they work. I tried removing those two fields from the count function but got the same results.
What am I doing wrong?

Nevermind... For some reason my FB4 is not updating correctly. After removing the two control fields at the end of the list AND exiting the app/re-entering everything worked ok. I've been having this issue a lot lately and am thinking that is is a bug of some sort?

To be able to access any Oracle database using PHP you require the following:
A server with Apache 2+ (Unix, windows etc)
PHP enabled using OCI8
tnsnames.ora
Oracle instant client and associated libraries
This gives you direct access into oracle database. As for E-Business, you will compromise the security and safty of of R12 by going in through php. Oracle is not likely to support it either.
I have got a apache/php/Oracle XE working on a test environment and Ithe performance is not a big issue. If you must I would hughly recommend Oracle Linux for quality and security.

Move button to the next page with his function.

Hello, is the any way to move a button to the another page with his functions?
I can't creat a new button, because I need all the function that contains the button original. I use it now, but it is not ok for to change te page because it has not the paramater location.... :

I am trying this way, now I am creating a new button, and I am trying to put, all the code of the original button in one function.
And, when I am creating de new button btn:

this not works...
the function is in one file in:
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Datos de programa\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\JavaScripts\myFile.js
and the contains of the function is a simple alert.....
Any idea...¿?

Issues with rollover buttons in Indesign CS6

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on a issue i'm currently having.
I've produced a interactive map in Indesign, with rollover buttons which triggers an animation - all the buttons and animations seem to be set up correctly and once I export as a SWF they seem to work fine initially, but after a couple of rollovers some of the buttons just stop working. If I refresh the page or reopen the swf file it then starts working again for a period, but again after a few successful rollovers some stop working again. I'm wondering if this is a bug of some sort? Ive also tested the .swf on a different machine and I experience the same issue.
Any help with this would be be much appreciated.

We might be able to help you but you'll have to drop the attitude. We're not Adobe here, but users like you.
You'll need to tell us exactly what you're doing and what's not working for you. By "rollovers," you could mean the change of appearance of a button. You could also be meaning what are sometimes called Show/Hide buttons where clicking a button causes another button to appear. Which is it?
And what kind of output are you attempting? Interactive PDF? SWF (Flash)? DPS?

Does electronic version Adobe Dreamweaver CSS with PHP come with the labs or files used in a college course? What is on the CD and is there a way to get the content with the Barnes and Noble e-book? This should be a Barnes and Nobel question but they seem to have troubles answering the questions like this.
