Romaing Profile no longer being created for new Users hwne they login

After creating an account in WGM and logging into a computer that is joined to the domain, the server is unable to create the roaming profile for the user as it has done for previous accounts. I get the following popup message from Windows which indicates a permission problem I think:
Windows cannot locate the server copy of your roaming profile and is attempting to log you on with your local profile. Changes to the profile will not be copied to the server when you logoff. Possible causes of this error include network problems or insufficient security rights. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.
DETAIL - Access is denied.
Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.
If I create the directory manually under /Users/Profiles and then login to the account the profile is created and it operates normally for that account from there on.
I haven't changed any permissions on this Directory but I have recently changed the Directory Administrator password as well as the local Administrator password. Could that be the problem?

No, this is still an open issue, the way I fixed it is I decided to start using an LDAP to store dynamic creation of user entries. With LDAP it work perfectly.

Portable Home Directory (PHD) not being created for new users

Creating users in the Workgroup Manager also created their home directories at the time I created it when we were using Leopard 10.5 server.
But now that it is upgraded to 10.6 server, it doesn't do anything when I create a new user and tell it to "Create Home Now".
Any idea how to fix this?

Assuming that the server is properly configured (most importantly DNS) try running sudo createhomedir -a
and see what that does. In my experience, clicking the create home now button doesn't always work.

Profile class not getting created for new site for existing customer.

I am creating a new site address for an existing customer using Customer Interface in oracle apps 11.5.10.2. The issue is the profile class is not getting assigned correctly at site level. How the profile id has been created for anonymous user

User profile is created when a request is processed by the ProfileRequestServlet in the ATG servlet pipeline and is made available as session scoped Profile object for each user. Profile object has a dataSource property which points to the underlying RepositoryItem. For anonymous user, the underlying RepositoryItem created through ProfileRequestServlet remains transient by default. Therefore you won't find the item in the repository or database with that transient repository item's id. You can change this default behavior if you want by changing the persistentAnonymousProfiles property of the ProfileRequestServlet component to true which will create a new profile in the database for each anonymous visitor.

Photos are not being created for all users on MySites.

I am currently syncing AD thumbnail photos to sharepoint 2010 SP1 Dec CU . I have configured everything properly and after the full profile sync I can see the binary data for the thumbnail photo. I have run the following command on
the Sync_DB to see the binary data.
Select sAMAccountName,SPS_MV_OctetString_PictureURL from MMS_Metaverse with(nolock) Where SAMAccountName like '%UserName%'
I then go to run the Update-SPProfilePhotoStore -CreateThumbnailsForImportedPhotos 1 -MySiteHostLocation <mySiteHostURL>.
Initially, this took awhile and looking at the library of the photos, a large percentage of users photos were created but there are a lot of photos missing for users in the organization. This is actually affecting my photo so I can see that in
the library, I do not see the three specific photos for myself BUT the binary data for the picture is in the Sync_DB.
The problem is that running the Update-SPProfilePhotoStore only does a portion of the photos. I have re-ran the powershell command multiple times and still not getting additional photos created. The DB does not have any restrictions on growth
and there are no errors on the DB side.

I followed up with Brian and the fix was a multiple step process:
He enabled the User Profile Service (From Manage Services On Server) on all Application servers, then ran a full user profile sync, and then ran the Update-SPProfileStore PowerShel cmdlet again. This added a few more photos, but still not all.
I pointed him at this link:
http://matthewyarlett.blogspot.com/2012/09/profile-photos-not-synchronising-from.html which gives a PowerShell command to check what each user's PictureURL property is set at. He noticed that some URL's had the mysitehosturl:80 in them and some did not.
By using the script in the link sent he was able to remove the :80 from the URL's and then everything started working. Also, I believe he removed the %20 from some of the URL's as described in that link.

Library Backups No Longer Being Created in 10.1.2

No matter what I do, Library Backups are no longer being created in 10.1.2. This is happening on all 6 of my production Mac Pros and iMacs. I can change the location of the Library Backup folder, but nothing is ever created in the new location. It's as if FCPX no longer knows how to backup libraries.
Some background...
We are working with Libraries and Media files on our XSAN Volume.
OSX 10.9.3
FCPX 10.1.2
We did not notice the Backups were not being performed until one of our Libraries had an issue and we could not find a single Backup of the library.
What I have tried...
Move Libraries to Local System Volume - Still No Backups.
Change Library Backup Location - Still No Backups.
Toggle Library Backup Location to No Backups and then Back to Backups - Still No Backups.
Ensure Proper Permissions on Library Backup Folder - Still No Backups.
Trash FCPX Preferences - Still No Backups.
ReInstall FCPX - Still No Backups.
I am at a loss at what to do next. I can't even see the backup process happening in console, or any errors that might give me a clue as to why it's not working. Short of trying to reinstall Mac OS on one of my production macs, I see no other alternative. Considering I'm having this issue across our entire production system, I'm wondering if this is a very serious FCPX 10.1.2 bug.
Is anyone else having these issues????

Error creating a new user profile service application: The specified database is not a valid synchronization database

When trying to create a new user profile service application on a new SharePoint install I get the following error:
"The specified database is not a valid synchronization database"
The installation then fails and does not create the third database.
I found some threads with similar problems but it involved upgrading an existing db. In this case we want to create a new one. Here is the relevant ULS log info:

I Tried to create another one under a different name (databases also) and I get the same error.
The SharePoint instance has the march mandatory update installed. The sql instance we are using is an existing SQL cluster for other SharePoint poc's.

I had the same problem and could not figure out what was wrong for the longest time. I then had the idea to check in the model system database to see if there were any extra custom tables in that database. Any tables that are in the model database
are put into any new database when it is created. I had some custom tables in the model database so I deleted the custom tables in the model database and deleted the failed user profile service application and its databases and then tried to recreate
the user profile service application again and it worked with no errors

How to create a new user in Netweaver system for ABAP training?

I had been learning ABAP using a trial version but recently purchased and installed a developer subscription of Netweaver 2004 SR3. Can someone please tell me the best way to create a new user for ABAP development and assign the needed transaction authorizations appropriate for a developer? I was able to create one in SU01 and assign a profile of S_ABAP_ALL but still could not get into SE80 with that logon. And the user had a license expiration of only one month, is there a way to obtain a permenant license for it from SAP?

Hi Chris,
You can create a role in t-code pfcg with all required transaction and assign it to your user id or else You can assign profile sap_all to you for all authorization.
Regarding license you can get it from sap.How to get it is explained in the document in the below link.

Hi Krishna,
If user authentication method is AD, all AD users can be added into BPC for the required access, The task 'Define Security' covers who can add users, create or modify task and member profiles.
The guide is a good place to start understanding it.
If you already have a list of users and would want to mass manage the users into your new system, you could also use the program: ZUJE_MASS_USER_MGMT (to import users, teams, profiles into the target system).
Note: Users and Teams are not included in the transport. So you need to manage them outside either by using the program that I mentioned above or add them individually using admin client.

Created mailbox for new user in Exchange 2010, user not visible in AD.

Hi everyone!
This morning I created a mailbox for a new user on my Exchange 2010 box.
Everything works fantastically but I am unable to view the new user in AD except by searching. If I run a search the results say the user exists in my Users container, and I can view the properties of the user account from the search results, but I
am unable to actually see the user profile object in the Users container.
I notice in EMC that the mailbox has a user icon on the mailbox icon instead of the regular standard icon - I'm not sure what this implies.
Can anyone offer some advice as to why this happens and how to resolve it?

AD objects store in the Domain partition Database.
Its replication Scope is :Domain Wide
Its replication model is: Multi Master
There are two possible cause.
1. AD replication latency if you have several DCs.
You could wait for AD replication or force replication, Click
refresh on ADUC.
2. You create the new user
in other OU, not Users.
You could run this command to get
the user’s DistingushedName attribution.
Get-mailbox –identity
[email protected] |fl

Logic X Additional Content after creating a new User Profile

Hey guys. I have a MBRpro and I'm running into problems with a plugin and diskspace.
I bought East/West Symphonic Orchestra Platinum Plus and Symphonic Choirs and the plugin is killing my CPU on my current User Profile.
Yesterday, I created a new blank user, and its running fine there. I'm guessing because all the systems resources are available without running background daemons from other apps.
After I launched Logic X under the new user, it asked me if I wanted to download additional content. I had already downloaded all the content under the old user, and so I said "no" as I'm struggling with disk space on my retina (6gig free). I played a bit - confirmed the plugin was working fine, quit it/logged off and went back to my old profile.
Today I launched the new user (after logging off from my old profile) and launched logic but now the additional content menu is greyed out. I'd like to know what is going on.
1stly, Is it greyed out only on the new user, because old user installed it all already? If so.. why did it ask me the first time to download additional content?
2ndly, can I verify if the downloadable content library on the older user has carried accross / or is accessable under the new user profile?
3rdly, If the additional content / Libraries are not automatically shared, can I make them available/shared amongst both users, since I don't have the internal diskspace? Moving it all onto an external drive is not the best option for me. I need to keep it all on my laptop if I can.

They have gone now and I am attempting to either change the password or delete the user. It won't allow me to choose the user I created. I am logged in as myself and it states that I am an "Admin". The user I'm attempting to change is listed as a "standard" user and there is a white checkmark inside an orange circular background on the user pic in the list of users.
Can someone help me? I am having a hard time believing that OSx will allow me to create users and allow them use of my computer and it's drives, yet it will not allow me to change the password so I can monitor what they might have been doing while logged on? What if this were my child? This guest left under sketchy circumstances, and I'd really like to be able to ensure they were not using my computer to do illegal things or to have illegal communications.
Any help would be appreciated. (It's odd that it was so simple to "create" a user and set a password for them.......but it's complicated or a little known process to reverse.

Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing. The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as). The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue). However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens. It will not change to highlight that user.

Create a new user for oracle 10G ASM instance with sysdba system privilege

In our Golden Gate Project, we require the SYS user credential to connect to the Oracle 10g ASM instance to read the database transaction logs.But our client is not providing the SYS user credential to connnect to ASM instance.
I'm getting the error message "ORA-01109: database not open",When I tried to create a new user using the below the steps in oracle 10g ASM instance
1. Login using "sqlplus / as sysdba"
2. Create user <username> identified by <password>;
But in oracle 11g ASM instance, I'm able to create new user by connecting the ASM instance with SYSASM role without issues.
Is there is any workaround to create a new user with sysdba system privilege in oracle 10g ASM instance?.

Recreate the password file for the ASM instance as follows:
Unix:
orapwd file=<ORACLE_HOME>/dbs/PWD<SID> password=<sys_password>
Windows:
orapwd file=<ORACLE_HOME>/database/PWD<SID>.ora password=<sys_password>
Now sys password is reset, we are ready to use sys for ASM management. I decided to create another user ASMDBA as I tried above.
SQL> create user ASMDBA identified by test01;
User created.
SQL> grant SYSASM, SYSOPER to ASMDBA;
Grant succeeded.
SQL> select * from v$pwfile_users;
USERNAME SYSDBA SYSOPE SYSASM
SYS TRUE TRUE TRUE
ASMDBA FALSE TRUE TRUE

Creating a default User account for new users

Today I tried creating a default setting for and account that could be used for all new users. I did web searches after web serches and not luck. In the old systems it was simple, but Mavericks made it difficult. But after much hair pulling and putting several suggestions together it is just as simple as it was before.
Step 1 Create a new user account
Step 2 log on to that account and set it up totally, that means background picture, preferences, dock, everything
Step 3 click on the home incon in a finder window then go to Finder view select view options and at the bottom check show library
Step 4 go to HD>system library>user templates, you will need to select the file, Command I for info, unlock the lock, click + at bottom select your admin account, give youself read write permissions, go click on the folder you wish/need to change and get info and repeat the step above for each folder.
Step 5 replace the library folder and any other you wish to change with the one from the new account
Step 6 you can also place any documents on the desktop or document folder and replace them
Step 7 create a new user account and verify that the settings and dock are correct.
This takes about 5 minutes or so and is much easier for the non pro

I don't always understand how things can be different from one computer to the other running the same systems and following the same steps but I have 2 iMac's and the steps above for the desktop picture worked on one but not on the other, go figure. So as a fix the default picture was named Wave in the Desktop Picture folder so I changed the name of it to Wave1 and renamed the new photo Wave, did not change the alias in the CoreService folder, now the second computer creates and new user account with all my perferred settings and background picture.
As a recap of my orginal post by creating a default user account, setting up the preferences for finder, and setting up the dock, I simply replaced the preference folder in the User Template file and it works perfectly. Remember that you can do the same with the Document folder or the desktop if you want to place them for all new users.
Since I am not a professional computer person I do not feel comfortable using the terminal or scripting so this works very well for the common person to create a new user template.
