  • Namespace-Problem RosettaNet

    Hi,
    we have a problem bei configuring a RosettaNet-Scenario.
    Our partner gets an Error 500 when he sends a Message Type AdvanceShipmentNotificationAction to our XI-system.
    In our logs we can find the following entry:
    Constructing the object... : Could not find sender agreement for SenderParty=Partner;SenderService=PIP3B2_V0101_Shipper;ReceiverParty=Receiver;ReceiverService=PIP3B2_V0101_Receiver;Interface=AdvanceShipmentNotificationAction;NameSpace=http://sap.com/xi/RosettaNet/V0101.
    The problem is the NameSpace. We have configured the NameSpace http://sap.com/xi/RosettaNet/PIP3B2_V0101 becaus the interface is only configured in NameSpace http://sap.com/xi/RosettaNet/PIP3B2_V0101 by the RosettaNet package of SAP. But we got the error that we are using a wrong Namespace.
    How does XI determine the NameSpace which has to be used for SenderAgreements in a RosettaNet-Scenario? Does anybody know that?
    We don't have any idea how to solve this problem.
    I hope anybody can help us.
    Best Regards,
    Thorsten

    You can configure, which namespace you want:

  • A problem of RnEncoder when I try to run a Rosettanet process

    Hi, all
    I encountered a problem when I try to run a Rosettanet process which will time out. Some exceptions are thrown as follows.
    I designed a participant process which would make no reflection after receiving the message, then waited for the initiator's time-out. I have tracked the process, and I'm sure that the problem occured at the second sending. It worked well in normal condition.
    I have focused on this problem several days, but couldn't get a way to resolve. Pls help! Thank you very much~! :)

    The SUID differences should be take care of if you download and apply the 10.5.6 combo update.
    As for the other permissions, I believe the OS has created a "link" between the new permissions and the old, rather than replacing with the current.
    Neither set of issues is a problem, unless your applications start acting up--which shouldn't happen.

  • RNDisAssembler issue in Biztalk 2010 or 2009 accelerator for RosettaNet

    We are receiving 3C3 PIP messages from a traing partner. But from time to time, below error pops out.
    Source module:
    RNDisAssembler
    Correlation information:
    Description:
    Receive pipeline rejected incoming message
    due to the following RNIF exception:
    UNP.SCON.VALERR : A failure occurred while validating the service content.
    Details:
    Data at the root level is invalid. Line 3, position 1.
    It's just once in a while. And I can't see any perceptible exception in the problematic message. This is so weird. I would assume it's a bug of Biztalk. Please refer to the post
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955240/en-us, which provide a hotfix for BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5. Is there a counterpart for Biztalk 2010 or 2009?
    Thanks
    Gou Jun

    Hi,
    The resolution to this problem is descrived here:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/biztalkcpr/archive/2011/03/05/btarn-app-pool-settings-for-biztalk-2010.aspx
    "Here is a some additional information regarding extending BTARN 2010 with new PIP’s. The artifacts generated are going to be .Net 4.0 unless Visual Studio is configured to do otherwise. This means along with setting the application pools for the
    32-bit the .Net setting must be set to match. "

  • RosettaNet (RNIF) Inbound

    Hi Guys,
    I have previously created a RosettaNet interface to send messages to another server, however I now need to look at receiving RosettaNet messages.
    I have created the relevent parties, business services and communication channels, observing the naming conventions.
    What I'm now looking for is the URL to use when posting to XI.
    I've tried posting to http://<XI server address>:<port>/MessagingSystem/receive/RNIFAdapter/RNIF
    which returns a
    401 Unauthorized
    so I've added
    ?sap-user=<username>&sap-password=<password>
    but with no luck.
    Could anyone point me in the right direction?
    Kind regards,
    John Lambert

    Hi Bhavesh,
    I'm not sending from RSTK.
    The intention was to send from the SeeBeyond server that XI was sending messages to. In order to check the URL etc. that I wrote a short app in Perl to connect to the URL in the previous post and post a RosettaNet packet saved in a file.
    I have sucessfully bypassed the authorisation problem when sending from Perl, but XI is complaining about the Start Boundary missing.

    Probably won't help, but the Perl Code looks like this:

    use URI::URL;
    use HTTP::Headers;
    my $userAgent = LWP::UserAgent->new(agent => 'perl post');

         $contents = <FILE>;      # Return file as one single `line'
    }                       # $/ regains its old value
    close FILE;
    my $message=$contents;
    my $ua = LWP::UserAgent->new(env_proxy => 1,
                                  keep_alive => 1,

    my $req = HTTP::Request->new('POST', 'http://<server address>:<port>/MessagingSystem/receive/RNIFAdapter/RNIF', $hdrs,$message);
    my $username="<username>";

    my $response = $ua->request($req);
    print $response->error_as_HTML unless $response->is_success;
    print $response->as_string;
    Good luck, I suspect I will have the same problems with authorisation when attempting to connect from the Seebeyond Server.

  • RosettaNet STK

    Dear experts:
    I am using the Rosettanet STK. I want to send a test message from the STK and receive it in the XI system. But having problems especially with user id etc. How do I specify the user id and pw in the STK? I could not fing the file <b>credential</b> anywhere?
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the link Shabarish. My scenario is very similar to the one int he blog, except that its the other way round.. STK to XI.
    I have set up everything as per the blog. Please see below for the config.
    User ID - Shipper
    Test Run ID - TestRun
    Under "Component Under Test (CUT) Partner" section
    Global Business ID - 000022222
    Location ID - US
    Message URL - http://sapxid.companyname.com:50000/MessagingSystem/receive/RNIFAdapter/RNIF
    Under "Test system" the config is
    Global Business ID - 000012345
    LocationID - US
    Message URL (automatically filled) - http://localhost/rosettanet/servlet/listenerServlet?userId=SHIPPER
    When I click on the submit button I get the error message - CUT's UserId must not be null or empty
    If I give the "Component Under Test (CUT) Partner" Message URL of the form
    http://localhost/rosettanet/servlet/listenerServlet?userId=RECEIVER instead of XI's RNIF adapter path,
    it atleast tries to post and then fails saying Receiver not reachable. So its something to do with the Message URL.
    Can anybody clarify this please? Am I doing something wrong here?
    Thanks
    Karthik

  • RosettaNet Business Packages

    Hi all,
    We're trying to start a RosettaNet Scenario development.
    We've been reading about the necessary steps in order to accomplish the installation requirements, and one of them is the installation of the business packages.
    Our basis told us that this installation is not necessary in our system package version (SAP XI 2004s SP15), but we couldn't see RosettaNet namespaces (with objects) at RosettaNet SWCV already imported from SLD to Integration Builder Repository.
    Could anyone tell us if this is required for our SP version and where we could find its installation guide?
    Thanks in advance,
    Diego Campana.

    Hi Diego,
    pls chk with ur configurations in SLD with RosettaNet
    there should no problem if SLD works fine

  • Problems configuring Platform Domain with MS Sql Server

    Hi,
    We are having problems configuring a Platform Domain with MS Sql Server 2000.
    We are using Weblogic version 7.0.0.2. These are the steps we followed
    1.We manually created a database called TestDB and created a user account called
    "system", pwd ==>> "weblogic" in SQL server and assigned him as the DB owner for
    the TestDB created.
    2. Changed dbsettings_properties files (Commented pointbase entries and uncommented
    SQL Server entries. I gave the connection parameter as connection=jdbc:weblogic:mssqlserver4:localhost:1433
    in this file.
    3. Modified Config.xml and changed properties for DataSyncPool, WLIPool, CommercePool,WLIPool
    and modified the RDBMS realm properties to point to the database.
    4. ran the create_db script and it seemed to have run fine looking at the log
    file.
    5. I then tried to start the BEA Server instance and I get the following error.
    I am also attaching the config.xml file for reference.
    Appreciate any help/suggestions. Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
    We are having problems configuring a Platform Domain with MS Sql Server 2000.
    We are using Weblogic version 7.0.0.2. These are the steps we followed
    1.We manually created a database called TestDB and created a user account called
    "system", pwd ==>> "weblogic" in SQL server and assigned him as the DB owner for
    the TestDB created.
    2. Changed dbsettings_properties files (Commented pointbase entries and uncommented
    SQL Server entries. I gave the connection parameter as connection=jdbc:weblogic:mssqlserver4:localhost:1433
    in this file.
    3. Modified Config.xml and changed properties for DataSyncPool, WLIPool, CommercePool,WLIPool
    and modified the RDBMS realm properties to point to the database.
    4. ran the create_db script and it seemed to have run fine looking at the log
    file.
    5. I then tried to start the BEA Server instance and I get the following error.
    I am also attaching the config.xml file for reference.
    Appreciate any help/suggestions. Thanks in Advance.

  • Problem with j_security_check - Error 404

    Hi,
    I am trying to modify an application that works with Apache and Tomcat server.
    I tried to add basic form authentication, but when I enter a login-name/password I get an HTTP 404 Error about the requested page, that it was not found.
    Here are my web.xml and logon.jsp files:

    The application is located inside Tomcat folder webapps.Any suggestions or ideas?I honestly don't know how to solve this problem.I looked at other similar threads but none of the suggestions or solutions posted work for my case...

    No, that's not the problem.I am sure that it finds the pages "logon.jsp" and "logonError.jsp".There is no need to remove the "/".
    The problem is that after I am redirected to the logon.jsp and enter a login-name/password I press the submit button and then I get the 404 error.
    Have you configured Apache to recognise the "j_security_check" URL to be forwarded to Tomcat appropriately? It probably does not do this by default.
    That might be the problem.Could you please tell me how to check if Apache is configured appropriately?Which configuration file should I check and for what parameter should I look for?

  • RosettaNet Plug in with Collaborate 1.0

    Has anyone gotten the RosettaNet plug in for Collaborate 1.0 to work? First I
    had problems with the deployment descriptor files for the EJBs. There was a problem
    with the weblogic-ejb-jar.dtd file. Now I'm having problems opening the jar files
    when starting the RosettaNet Enabler. The jar files are the Service Pack 1 files
    for Collaborate 1.0. Again, has anyone ever gotten the RosettaNet plugin working?

  • A problem with threads

    I am trying to implement some kind of a server listening for requests. The listener part of the app, is a daemon thread that listens for connections and instantiates a handling daemon thread once it gets some. However, my problem is that i must be able to kill the listening thread at the user's will (say via a sto button). I have done this via the Sun's proposed way, by testing a boolean flag in the loop, which is set to false when i wish to kill the thread. The problem with this thing is the following...
    Once the thread starts excecuting, it will test the flag, find it true and enter the loop. At some point it will LOCK on the server socket waiting for connection. Unless some client actually connects, it will keep on listening indefinatelly whithought ever bothering to check for the flag again (no matter how many times you set the damn thing to false).
    My question is this: Is there any real, non-theoretical, applied way to stop thread in java safely?
    Thank you in advance,
    Lefty

    This was one solution from the socket programming forum, have you tried this??
    public Thread MyThread extends Thread{
         boolean active = true;
         public void run(){
              ss.setSoTimeout(90);
              while (active){
                   try{
                        serverSocket = ss.accept();
                   catch (SocketTimeoutException ste){
                   // do nothing
         // interrupt thread
         public void deactivate(){
              active = false;
              // you gotta sleep for a time longer than the
              // accept() timeout to make sure that timeout is finished.
              try{
                   sleep(91);
              }catch (InterruptedException ie){
              interrupt();
    }

    You can also try to provide a greater Priority to your player thread so that it gains the CPU time when ever it needs it and don't harm the playback.
    However a loop in a Thread and that to an infinite loop is one kind of very bad programming, 'cuz the loop eats up most of your CPU time which in turn adds up more delays of the execution of other tasks (just as in your case it is the playback). By witting codes bit efficiently and planning out the architectural execution flow of the app before start writing the code helps solve these kind of issues.
    You can go through [this simple tutorial|http://oreilly.com/catalog/expjava/excerpt/index.html] about Basics of Java and Threads to know more about threads.

  • J2ME problem with threads

    Hi all,
    I would like to ask you for a help. I need to write a small program at my university. I started to write a midlet which function would be to countdown time for sports activities. I woul like to start a new thread - the one that counts down - and at the same time make the main thread sleep. After the "countdown" thread finishes, the main thread wakes up and waits for user input. The problem is that when the "countdown" thread finishes his work, I've got Uncaught exception java/lang/NullPointerException. error and the midlet halts.
    Below you can find the code

    Groovemaker,
    Your Licznik class has a member m of type monitor, which has not been instantiated (in other words is null) hence, when calling m.put() you get NullPointerException. Please also mind, that using Thread.sleep(1000) is not an accurate way of measuring time.
    If I may, please use recommended for Java class naming conventions - some of your names use lower case, while other don't which is confusing to the reader.

  • Problem with threads within applet

    Hello,
    I got an applet, inside this applet I have a singleton, inside this singleton I have a thread.
    this thread is running in endless loop.
    he is doing something and go to sleep on and on.
    the problem is,
    when I refresh my IE6 browser I see more than 1 thread.
    for debug matter, I did the following things:
    inside the thread, sysout every time he goes to sleep.
    sysout in the singleton constructor.
    sysout in the singleton destructor.
    the output goes like this:
    when refresh the page, the singleton constructor loading but not every refresh, sometimes I see the constructor output and sometimes I dont.
    The thread inside the singleton is giving me the same output, sometime I see more than one thread at a time and sometimes I dont.
    The destructor never works (no output there).
    I don't understand what is going on.
    someone can please shed some light?
    thanks.
    btw. I am working with JRE 1.1
    this is very old and big applet and I can't convert it to something new.

    Ooops. sorry!
    I did.

  • Problem with Threads and a static variable

    I have a problem with the code below. I am yet to make sure that I understand the problem. Correct me if I am wrong please.
    Code functionality:
    A timer calls SetState every second. It sets the state and sets boolean variable "changed" to true. Then notifies a main process thread to check if the state changed to send a message.
    The problem as far I understand is:
    Assume the timer Thread calls SetState twice before the main process Thread runs. As a result, "changed" is set to true twice. However, since the main process is blocked twice during the two calls to SetState, when it runs it would have the two SetState timer threads blocked on its synchronized body. It will pass the first one, send the message and set "changed" to false since it was true. Now, it will pass the second thread, but here is the problem, "changed" is already set to false. As a result, it won't send the message even though it is supposed to.
    Would you please let me know if my understanding is correct? If so, what would you propose to resolve the problem? Should I call wait some other or should I notify in a different way?
    Thanks,
    B.D.
    Code:
    private static volatile boolean bChanged = false;
    private static Thread objMainProcess;
       protected static void Init(){
            objMainProcess = new Thread() {
                public void run() {
                    while( objMainProcess == Thread.currentThread() ) {
                       GetState();
            objMainProcess.setDaemon( true );
            objMainProcess.start();
        public static void initStatusTimer(){
            if(objTimer == null)
                 objTimer = new javax.swing.Timer( 1000, new java.awt.event.ActionListener(){
                    public void actionPerformed( java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt){
                              SetState();
        private static void SetState(){
            if( objMainProcess == null ) return;
            synchronized( objMainProcess ) {
                bChanged = true;
                try{
                    objMainProcess.notify();
                }catch( IllegalMonitorStateException e ) {}
        private static boolean GetState() {
            if( objMainProcess == null ) return false;
            synchronized( objMainProcess ) {
                if( bChanged) {
                    SendMessage();
                    bChanged = false;
                    return true;
                try {
                    objMainProcess.wait();
                }catch( InterruptedException e ) {}
                return false;
        }

    Thanks DrClap for your reply. Everything you said is right. It is not easy to make them alternate since SetState() could be called from different places where the state could be anything else but a status message. Like a GREETING message for example. It is a handshaking message but not a status message.
    Again as you said, There is a reason I can't call sendMessage() inside setState().
    The only way I was able to do it is by having a counter of the number of notifies that have been called. Every time notify() is called a counter is incremented. Now instead of just checking if "changed" flag is true, I also check if notify counter is greater than zero. If both true, I send the message. If "changed" flag is false, I check again if the notify counter is greater than zero, I send the message. This way it works, but it is kind of a patch than a good design fix. I am yet to find a good solution.
    Thanks,
    B.D.
