  • Enable Garnishment Principle of Origin (EP) for NON-public sector

    Hi all.
Does anyone have experience or knows a best-practice approach to enable the Principle of-Origin in the DE-Payroll garnishment section (Pfändung Entstehungsprinzip) for NON- public sector? Our payroll payroll and legal department do want to change from "Zufluss-" to "Entstehungsprinzip".
All relevant schemas  do only exist in the main schema for the public sector (D100) but not in the non-public sectior (D000).
Thanks for any hints or comments.
    Best reagrds
    Daniel

In order to resolve this issue. Please replace the below listed command
aaa authentication login admin group tacacs+ local enable
    with;
aaa authentication login default group admin local enable
You defined the server group name as method list and instead of using admin as a server-group, you used tacacs+
Note: Please ensure you have local user and enable password configured in case of tacacs server unreachable.

  • BI Content for 0PPS_PO_C (Public Sector PO History) is missing

    Hi,
I am trying to install info cube 0PPS_PO_C and all its relevant objects, but only the info cube is available. I don't see any data source, transformations or update rules for this cube. If anyone has installed this cube, could you tell the source and mappings for this cube.
    Thanks.

Hi, It´s occuring the same with me.
I have already read the note above mentioned and not cleared my issue.
I´m using BW "SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0", with BI Cont 706 level 0004 and in SRM side with SAP SRM 7.0.
Thus we can only see cube 0PPS_PO_C (inactive) without any transformation under infoárea 0PPS.
But in infoarea SRM -> E-procurement -> DSO (0SRPO_D1) it´s ok, was activated correctly and i noted that this DSO has a transformation with 0PSPO_D1 and this transf. was not activated with business content.

  • What are the minimum SAP processes for public sector ?.

    Dear  Expert
I would understand that SAP Public Sector - Business Process has the following key:
    Shared Services
    Human Capital Management
    Government Purchases
Formulation of Public Sector Accounting and Budget
    Social Services
    Social Security
    Government Programs

    Organizational Management
    Organizational Support
For an implementation in SAP Public Sector, I found  several solutions are:
    - Solutions - SAP Business Suite
    - Software SAP Customer Relationship Management
    - Software ERP SAP
    - SAP Product Lifecycle Management
    - SAP Supply Chain Management
    - SAP Supplier Relationship Management
If we select SAP ERP Software. From the above processes. ¿Is it correct to have at least the formulation of Public Sector Accounting and implemented budget? or ¿Is it OK to implement all processes for the public sector? I'm  very confusing ...
Please,  could you explain SAP Procurement public sector solutions? or do you have a link on this advice?
    All recommendations are welcome.

  • Jobs for EEO-4&5 Report in public sector...

    Hi Gurus!
I am working for a public sector PA impl. The client wants EEO 4&5 reports for public sector. We have a standard report for that. But since the report is based on jobs, i wanted to know if the jobs for EEO are the same jobs we have in Org management? or they are different and we need to create new ones for the report exclusively in PA?
    Help urgent...
    Thanks in Advance..
    Soniya Singh

I have the same task, I've been requested to retrieve the data hehind the report. The main query is nearly 1000 lines long with I'd say two dozen parameters ( both internal and external)
Its been a nightmare trying to get the main query. I even used TOAD to revtrieve the SQL as the report is being run, but unfortunately you have to replace all the parameters your self.
Its a monster.. So directing the output to Excel via XML Publisher works ? Does it give you the data in the raw format?

    1)     Current 12.1 dev installed with applmgr user.If you will make vision demo installation on same machine you can create one other user as applvis
    2)     Planning to install Vision with Oracle user. You can make installation as root user. Can create oravis user for db tier
    3)     Created corresponding folders etc.You can create folder as /u01/DEMO and give 777 to DEMO for installation
    4)     Is it required to stop all the services with applmgr user?If you are going to make installation on same linux server yes its better way to stop dev instance for make new installation more fast, other way you can have some performance problem

  • Activating Program Management for Public Sector

    Hello everyone,
We are currently implementing an E-Governance solution for a municipal corporation, in SAP. Our licenses include ECC 6.0 and SAP CRM 2007. Additionally, we have purchased a single component of SAP for Public Sector, namely Program Management for Public Sector, which is enabled by SAP CRM.
We have tried extensively to find out detailed information about this solution (Program Management for Public Sector), however besides a few lines of general information, not much else is available publicly.
We request to provide us information on how to activate Program Management for Public Sector, and if possible to guide us on where to obtain valid documentation.
Any asistance in this regard wil be much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Shiv Sahgal

  • Project template-List boxes(Public sector,Work in Process,Template)

    Project template-List boxes(Public sector,Work in Process,Template)
What is the functionality of these 3 list boxes???plzzzzzzzzzzz help?? if at all i enable where i can get find it in the reporting??which reports??
Once the project is created can v define that project as template???Y template list box enabled even at that stage???
Plz help me to know the functionality....thanks a lot n advance...

    Hi
You may enable an existing project as a template. Doing so will allow you to create new projects from that template.
Public Sector is an attribute of a project you may use when you set the Auto Accounting rules. This is useful if you need to account differently for projects executed for the public sector versus projects executed for commercial companies or individuals.
Workflow in process checkbox is flagged if you enable the workflow for project status changes. In such case, when you want to change the status the workflow will be fired and until the new project status is approved you will bee that the project is waiting for the workflow processing to complete.

  • Public Sector uptake of "Packaged Applications"

I work for Oracle Public Sector and the question came up recently with some colleagues about how many customers are using the APEX Packaged Applications. If you are a United States or Canadian Public Sector (Government) customer and are using any of these applications, can you reply to this thread or send an email to [email protected] with any of the info you feel comfortable sharing such as:
    <ul>
    <li>Customer Name</li>
    <li>Application Name</li>
<li>Brief description of how you are using</li>
    </ul>
or any other info you feel you want to share. I will not publicize this information without your written permission. If you are interested in sharing your story on OTN, I'm happy to help make that happen as well.
    Thanks,
    Tyler

    Hi All,
I have looked at the Packaged Applications.
I declined to use them because they would require quite a bit of modification to meet my needs.
I find it faster and more reliable to code small utility applications from scratch so that my clients get exactly what they need; no more and no less.
APEX is awesome at pumping out these utility applications quickly and cheaply with acceptable quality.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Supplements Public Sector US

In the IMG, under US Payroll there are customizing steps for Supplements Public Sector US. Would you know how / where these are being used. Any links would be appreciated.I am very intereted in the Certificates and Licenses... it might fulfill some of the requriements. I would like know how it is (was) used, before I can jump on it. THanks again!

    Mark,
I contacted the Sr. Development Director overseeing this product area and here is the official response to your question:
Public Sector functionality comes in two flavors:
    1. Global - items that apply to multiple legislations such as Grade Step Progression. These general have value beyond just public sector however are often essential for Public Sector organizations. This type of functionality is delivered as part of our global install.
    2. Legislation Specific - Items such as 403B pretax plans in the US and teachers pay in the UK are public sector functionality specific to those countries. This functionality is generally installed as part of the legislation data.
Note that we have only one product - Oracle HRMS. It has components for different legislations and industries that coexist in a single installation. Customers simply choose to use the parts of the product that are required for their business.

    Greg

  • Creation of Public Sector Planning application fails for LDAP user

The environment is on Windows 2008 R2 & EPM 11.1.2.2.302 of Planning. The creation of "general" planning applications works fine, regardless of the method of creation, Native User/LDAP User or Classic/EPMA. The creation of Public Sector Planning application using Classic Administration fails when using an LDAP user.
It works when using a Native User. It also works fine if EPMA is used, for both Native as well as LDAP users.
Our developers are not comfortable with EPMA yet, so want/need the ability to create the applications using Classic Administration.
Looking at the Planning sysout log, the only error message indicates a timeout with Calculation Manager:
Calc manager rules initialization failed. Please load and deploy the rules from Calc Manager UI
ERROR:Error while loading rules in Calc Manager. <HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Weblogic Bridge Message</TITLE></HEAD> <BODY><H2>Failure of server APACHE bridge:</H2><P><hr>No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF or method not idempotent.<hr> </BODY></HTML>
Calculation Manager itself seems to be working fine.
    Any suggestions/thoughts anyone?
    Thanks,
    Andy

    Hi Vivek,
The LDAP port is open to all the servers in the environment. LDAP users have no issues logging in to any of the tools that they have access to.
I think it has something to do with how Classic Planning passes the security token to Calculation Manager for an LDAP user. For a "general" Planning app, there is no evidence of such a transfer, because the Rules are created after the app has been created. And there the user logs in directly to Calculation Manager to create the rules.
When using EPM Architect, it would lead to reason that such a token is also passed, however, that mechanism does not seem to have any trouble.
This is the first time I am using a pre-packaged application like PSB, and have so far worked with only with "general" Planning apps. Wanted to see if anyone else has created PSB apps using external users successfully, so I can trade environment notes and may be come to a cause/solution.
    Thanks,
    Andy

  • BW Planning component related to SAP Procurement for Public Sector?

  • Settlements in project System for public sector.

We are having a unique requirements for Project system.
A Capital project will be mostly funded by Federal agency. However the capital project will end as an asset. eg, Roads, bridges etc.
    1. We want to acumulate all expenses and settle it to AUC ( IM ) and later settle as an asset. ( currently possible )
    2. However, based on the billings done to Fed agencies, the revenue is also to be identified in the project. ( should not be condisered for settlement, as it will reduce the Asset value ).
We tried to seggregate the cost and revenues by source structures namely 10 and 20 for Cost and revenues respectively. In the settlement rule we move the cost up from WBS element to Project level. From project we move to AUC and finally to AMR.
Our requirement is to just settle the expenses to AMR and leave the Revenues in the the project itself. However the gives a hard error that the revenue settlement should also be settled. The other option we thought about, was to settle to a cost center, but it is not advisable as the revenue will put back  the budget of that cost center/fund center.
    So my questions is .
    1. Can part settlement happen ? ( Meaning move only costs ) ?
    2. In private sector, it is possible because expenses are Cost element 1 and Revenues are 11 ( not selected for settlement except PA settlement ). However in public sector expenses and revenues are treated as Cost element 1. so how to circumvent this issue ?
Any help or direction will be much appreciated..
    regards,
    Venkat Kota.

I am already using the source structure to split the cost and revenues. I am also using the same settlement profile for all the requirements.
    1. lower WBS to Higher WBS.
    2. Higher WBS to AUC
    3. AUC to AMR.
So i am not sure how i can maintain 2 settlement profiles for one project ?
