Roundcube on Server 10.8.5 Not Running

Everyone,
Up until yesterday the Rounccube install on a 10.8.5 server was running correctly.  The computer was restarted and now every time some tries to connect to the web interface the get the:
DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!
Unable to connect to the database!
Please contact your server-administrator.
I inherited this server, so I am not sure how everything was set up.  I went to /usr/local/topicdesk/roundcube/0.9.5a/logs/errors  in the error log being repeated is the following:
could not connect to server: Connection refused
Is the server running on host "localhost" (fe80::1) and accepting
   TCP/IP connections on port 5432? in /usr/local/topicdesk/roundcube/0.9.5a/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_db.php on line 158 (GET /roundcube/)

Here is what I get when I run sudo serveradmin fullstatus postgres:
postgres:dataDirHasBeenInitialized = yes
postgres:PG_VERSION = "9.2.1"
postgres:dataDir = "/Library/Server/PostgreSQL/Data"
postgres:postgresIsResponding = no
postgres:dataDirIsDirectory = yes
postgres:PGserverVersion = 0
postgres:dataDirExists = yes
postgres:setStateVersion = 1
postgres:state = "RUNNING"
Here is what I get if I try to list the postgres databases:
Just tried to list the databases and got the following:
ail:~ ladmin$ sudo psql -U _postgres --list
Password:
psql: could not connect to server: Connection refused
Is the server running locally and accepting
connections on Unix domain socket "/var/pgsql_socket/.s.PGSQL.5432"?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

This is not a Roundcube problem, but rather a postgresql problem.  I am also having the same issue with connecting to my database...and it happened when I updated to 10.9.5 and the Server 3.2.1.  Since then, no connections...
Very annoying.
I have also added 127.0.0.1 into the listeners file.  No success.

  • [CS4 Server Win]: Plugin does not run on Windows Server 2003?

    Hi,
    can anybody help?
My plugin is running on Windows XP and Windows Vista.
On both operation systems the scripting methods are visible in ExtendScript Toolkit and can be called by javascript.
On Windows Server 2003 my plugin is not running, the scripting methods are not visible in ExtendScript Toolkit!
    What is missing?
    Thanks,

    Yes.
    CS4: use VC2005 + SP1
    CS3: use VC2005 without SP1
    CS2: use VC2003
In my previous post I described one of the problems I found out the hard way - walking around in disassembler is a pain, even more Intel and Windows, comparing to Mac, and PowerPC. Since then I only use the official tools even if others tell it worked for them, and I keep the InDesign installations for final build and test on the earliest supported operating system.

  • Server 2012 Scheduled tasks not running after DST

Since the DST change this weekend the weekly scheduled tasks on our 2012 standard server are not running.  The schedule show the correct next run time, but the task never runs.  The server correctly adjusted for the DST changes (We are in CST in
the US) and if you look in the date time it notified us that the clock was set forward.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Mark,
Before going further, would you please let me confirm whether only weekly scheduled tasks t run? In other words,
did some daily scheduled tasks run smoothly?
Based on current situation, please create a new weekly
scheduled task and check if encounters the same issue.
If this issue still persists. Please let me confirm if you make scheduled task run some commands or a script,
or others I misunderstand. For an example, if run a script, please directly run it in the Windows Server 2012 Standard and check if there any issue occurred.
Meanwhile, please open Task Scheduler, select this problematic weekly scheduled task, click General tab. Please
check which user account was used to run this task. And please check Run with highest privileges, then check if can solve this issue.
In addition, please check History tab in task Properties. Please pay attention on the time-point when the weekly
scheduled task should be ran, and check if you can find some events at that time-point. It may help us to go further analysis.
By the way, there is a similar thread. Please refer to.
Certain scheduled tasks do not run anymore after DST change

    Hope this helps.

  • SQL Server Agent Job is not running as per schedule

I have a job that is supposed to run every 6 AM.  It was running last week but not this morning.
The big problem is that there are no error messages what so ever. I checked Agent History, SQL server logs and Windows system logs.
I checked the schedule and it is set to run everyday and there are no limits on how long it is supposed to run and it is enabled.
Did anyone get this problem before?

    Hi,
Sometimes there are valid reasons a job will NOT kick-in on the scheduled time. Sometime ago, our database full backup job didn't start on time and in fact just
got skipped over. Upon further investigation, a idiot started doing defragging on the target (destination) server without informing anybody in the enterprise and the previous days backup was running over 24+ hours instead of 2 hours. Sometime people cheat
and try to enable/disable jobs and in those cases you may want to add notification if something like this happens. http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/1803/auto-alert-for-sql-agent-jobs-when-they-are-enabled-or-disabled/

    Hi Rahul,
Server logs may contain JDK warnings such as the following if the jdk folder is an mklink.
*[WARN ][osal ] Could not add counter (null)\ for query*
*[WARN ][osal ] Failed to init virtual size counter.*
These are just warnings and do not affect any servers.
    Workaround
To suppress these warnings, add the following line in the FRAMEWORK_LOCATION\provisioning\provisioning-plan\fusionapps_start_params.properties file
    -Xverbose:osal=error
You can even try the solution provided in below link

  • WebLogic Admin Server (9.1)is not running.

Please share the admin server log snippet from the last start-up attempt to understand the cause of the failure which are located at domain_home/servers/adminserver/logs. The file named would be adminserver.log.
Without this information, we would not be able to understand the cause of the failure.

  • SQL Server Maintenance Plan does not run DEL command in .BAT

    Hello,
I have a T-SQL Statement task in my Maintenance Plan that runs a .BAT file and it runs OK when manually executed.  The .BAT file has a del d:\backups\*.* command in it. However, when the plan runs automatically at a scheduled time, the .BAT file does
not delete files.  Could this be a permissions issue?
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
This looks like a permission issue.  Make sure the account SQL instance is running has delete permissions on the folder from which you are trying to delete and also make sure the account has execute permission on that batch file.
    Thanks,
    Bhanu

What server? I would assume a Connect server, but I figure let's be sure. If Connect, what version?
When you say "not running properly", what is happening?

  • Profiler Server not running

I am running Data Services 3.1 on a Windows 2003 server environment.  Everything is installed and configured, but the Profiler Server is down.  I have created a Profiler Repository, associated it with a Job Server (which is running other jobs successfully), have set up Profile User in the Management Console, registered the Profiler Repo in the Console, but that annoying little red x stays on the Profiler Icon on the bottom of Designer  (Profiler Server localhost:28080 is not running).
Help?  I cannot find any documentation that speaks to actual Profiler Server- just the Admin.

check the webapps directory of tomcat, if you have installed BOE also on the tomcat, it would have used the same tomcat, check for folder named DataServices under tomcat55/webapps
Check for tomcat55 folder in the business Objects home example:-
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55
did you restart the tomcat service after installing BOE, what is port on which BOE is running
Check if you see anything the web_admin.log files in the %LINK_DIR%\log folder
The simple option would be to reinstall DS, which will detect the BOE Tomcat and install the DataServices on that
    or
you need to manually deploy the DataServices (at your own risk)
replace the BO_HOME with BO installation folder (C:\Program Files\Business Objects), run the following commands
make sure the tomcat is running
    "BO_HOME\deployment/wdeploy.bat" tomcat55 -DAPP=webservice undeploy
    "BO_HOME\deployment/wdeploy.bat" tomcat55 -DAPP=doc undeploy
    "BO_HOME\deployment/wdeploy.bat" tomcat55 -DAPP=DataServices undeploy

  • Vmtools on Solaris 10 10/08 (u6) client on an  ESX 4.0 not running

    Hi there
I have about 30 Solaris Servers running on an ESX 4.0 Server. Since we updated from ESX 3.5 to 4.0, we also have to update the mvtools. Now I have an interesting issue: after the removal of the old vmtools and the installation of the new set of vmtools everything seems to be OK for about 30 seconds.
Then, the vmware Server environment shows : VMwareTools not running . No matter what I trie, it is allways the same reaction.
Does anyone have a solution concerning this wierd behaviour?

  • ARD Agent not running on Snow Leopard

Hi. One of my servers which usually I could connect to remotely by ARD has stopped responding to ARD or VNC. it just shows up as an IP Address in the ARD Admin. I looked at processes on the server and ARDAGENT is not running. Tried reinstalling ARD client, removing ARD preferences files. Cant seem to sort it. Its a working server so cant just reinstall system on it.

We experienced the same issue on an XServe after upgrading to 10.6.6 form 10.6.5. Weeks of searching the Internet turned up nothing, except other users experiencing the same problem. Finally got it working again by doing the following:
    1) Turn off Remote Management in System Preferences
    2) Remove /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent
    3) Re-Install Remote Desktop Client from the Apple Installer here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1350
    4) Enable Remote Management in System Preferences
    5) Reboot
Step 5 probably is not required, but I wanted to make sure the service would run without intervention. I had some success before with running ARDAgent from the command line over ssh to get Remote Desktop working, but it really wasn't a good solution.
    Good luck, hope this helps.
