Routing xml (non-soap) messages in OWSM

Hi all,
Normaly we receive soap message from our business partners. These soap messages are then routed internally (by OWSM) to our services based on content (content based routing).
OWSM is used as a proxy. Partners do not refer to a specific service endpoint but to the owsm as the single virtual endpoint.
Recently a new business partner was added. This partner sends pure xml messages instead of soap messages. These messages are received in OWSM and must also be routed to the right service.
However, it seems that routing these xml messages in OWSM does not work. Can anybody give an acknowledgement of this finding that xml (non-soap) messages cannot be routed in OWSM?
If you have any solutions to this issue I would be glad to hear them.
Many regards,
Ton

Everywhere in XI, the acronym "LCR" is synonymous with "SLD", System Landscape Directory.  It seems like it may be a term they used early on, or maybe it's the German equivalent.  The LCR acronym is sprinkled throughout SAP's underlying code.
In your error message, it's complaining about the Business System entry in the SLD.
My first thought would be that either the source or target business system is not configured in the SLD, or you haven't defined the business system properly in the SOAP adapter configuration.  See the "XI20 Adapter Engine" manual for instructions on how to configure the SOAP adapter.
NOTE: You may be able to configure the SLD to make this solution work on your own, but for long-term usage, you're going to want an expert to model your system landscape and configure the SLD properly.

  • How to convert the Variable with soap header to non soap variable.

    I am working on a customized flow simialr to ProcessSalesorderFulfillmentJMSCOnsumer and Requestor ABCS. I dont have the PIP codes for the Requestor adn JMS Consumer. i built my own Requester ABCS and JMS Consumer. When i am trying to send message from JMS Consumer to Requestor ABCS in a variable with a SOAP:Env and SOAP:body inside.
    Becoz of this i was not able to put a condition in my bpel flows. If i put a condtion on this variable like switch inputvariable:part:OrderType='NEW' and it was failing with selection failure. I tried copying the variable to a new variable and then to check the condition still it does not work for me. How do i convert the SOAP Message Variable to Non SOAP Message Variable.
    Can i know the message put by SIebel in JMS Queue was it SOAP converted adn then how they are going to handle in Process Sales order Requestor ABCS.

    HI,
    In JMS Consumer of order to cash pip, Instead of using a schema reference they use a Envolpe.zxsd file which will take care of conversion adn then other artibutes are mapped in a transformation file.
    Please take an export of jms consumer in jdeveloper and reverse engineer the code of JMS COnsumer Service.
    Envelope_To_ListOfSWIOrderIO is the xsl whcih converts the message in AIA Queue to a message in a SOAP. Please look into the transformation.

  • OWSM 10.1.3.4 and Non-SOAP XML-based web service

    Hi all,
    According to the OWSM 10.1.3.4 Administrator's Guide, "all Web services registered with an Oracle WSM Gateway are virtualized as both a SOAP and non-SOAP Web service." To access the non-SOAP (XML-only) web service, the documentation states "The non-SOAP virtualized URL can be determined from the virtualized SOAP URL by replacing the services keyword in the URL with the xml keyword."
    For example, if the SOAP virtualized endpoint is:
    http://host:port/gateway/services/SID0003001
    then, the non-SOAP XML service endpoint is:
    http://host:port/gateway/xml/SID0003001
    I have several web services registered with an OWSM gateway, running on SOA Suite 10.1.3.4, and can access those without any problem. However, when I attempt to access the "/gateway/xml" version of these services, I simply get an HTTP 200 response header with a null body.
    Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this or what the secret is to get the non-SOAP XML service feature of OWSM to work?
    Thanks!

    Hi Shiva,
    see this abstract from messages file:
    "The SOAP header of a message contains all the important information that the Integration Server requires to forward the message, while the payload contains the actual business data (such as <PurchaseOrder> in the example above). <b>You can also append an unlimited number of attachments to the message before it is sent. • XML Comments in SOAP message - jax-rpc

    I ran across an issue with comments in my soap messages with regards to the serialization.
    My solution was to strip all the comments inbound and outbound.
    Are xml comments supported by JAX-RPC? I am currently scouring the internet for more information, but the closest I have come is a reference in the IBM implementation which doesn't really help me out.
    Any thoughts are appreciated.

    I'm trying to figure this out myself. I am using JAXM to access a web service but it wants the xml version...

  • How to include XML Prolog in BPEL SOAP message.

    Hi,
    I'm using SOA Suite 11g on WebLogic and have a BPEL Process in a composite application that is calling a third party SOAP Web Service.
    Whilst it is standard for a SOAP service to not care whether or not the SOAP message includes an XML Prolog (<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>) this third party service rejects the message if the prolog is not included.
    Unfortunately the partner link in my BPEL process is not adding the prolog when invoking the service and I cannot get the third party service changed to accept messages without it.
    Does anyone know how I can make BPEL include the prolog in SOAP messages?
    Currently the SOAP message looks like this:-
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope">
    <soap:Header/>
    <soap:Body>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    What I would like it to look like is this :-
    *<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>*
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope">
    <soap:Header/>
    <soap:Body>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi swigg,
    It's not the partnerlink input variable that I want to manipulate, it's the SOAP Envelope that the Partner Link generates when it is invoked.
    I know that you can manipulate the SOAP Header by adding properties to the Partnerlink but it's the Envelope that surrounds both the Header and the Body that I want to set the prolog on.
    It can be done in java and .NET (WCF) by setting a property on the SOAP Envelope class, but I can't see a way to do it for a partner link in BPEL which is a shame.
    To be honest it looks like Oracle have let me down here so I'll have to use some other technology to call this service which unfortunately plays into the hands of those that didn't think I should use Oracle's BPEL offering in the first place.
    Thanks.

  • [URGENT] Get Inbound Message in EBS Using XML Gateway + SOAP

    Hi experts,
    I want to ask you about how to process the inbound message using XML Gateway and SOAP protocol.
    I have 2 EBS instances, let's called it A (source) and B (destination).
    FYI, I'm following this ebook: "Oracle E-Business Suite Development and Extensibility Handbook" in chapter 12 regarding Oracle XML Gateway.
    So I don't use BPEL PM to do this.
    I'm just using EBS with XML Gateway and Integrated SOA Gateway responsibilities.
    When I tried to send the XML from A to B using OXTA, it's success, the data can be processed in B and could store in the database.
    But when I tried to use SOAP, the XML message that has been sent from A is success, and when I check it on B (Integrated SOA Gateway -> SOA Monitor), the message is in there and I can see the SOAP request and response as well.
    SOAP request:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:ns0="http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/fnd/XMLGateway" xmlns:wsu="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd">

    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    SOAP response:
    - <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <env:Header />
    - <env:Body>
    - <ReceiveDocument_Response xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/fnd/XMLGateway">
    <ResponseCode xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/fnd/XMLGateway">200</ResponseCode>
    <ResponseMsgId xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/fnd/XMLGateway">BD4EAD91E76051D5E0440021287448DA</ResponseMsgId>

    </ReceiveDocument_Response>
    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    But the problem is the message that has been got in B can't store into the database yet.
    I had already changed the Queue in the XML Gateway -> Define Transaction, from APPLSYS.ECX_IN_OAG_Q (this is for OXTA) to APPLSYS.WF_WS_JMS_IN.
    After I invoke the webservice and the SOAP message has been got in B, I checked APPLSYS.WF_WS_JMS_IN in database and there is 1 record, the value of USER_DATA column is:
    ((, , , , , , ((BES_EVENT_NAME, 100, oracle.apps.fnd.wf.ws.inbound.xmltx.receive, , 27), (BES_EVENT_KEY, 100, 796550960, , 27), (BES_PRIORITY, 200, , 1, 23), (BES_FROM_AGENT, 100, [email protected], , 27), (BES_TO_AGENT, 100, [email protected], , 27), (MSG_ID, 100, 1334117503435, , 27), (ECX_MESSAGE_TYPE, 100, XML, , 27), (ECX_MESSAGE_STANDARD, 100, OAG, , 27), (ECX_PARTY_SITE_ID, 100, 142, , 27), (WS_PORT_OPERATION, 100, ReceiveDocument, , 27), (ECX_TRIGGER_ID, 100, 7101, , 27), (UserId, 100, 3020, , 27), (ECX_USERNAME, 100, CONS.ADE, , 27), (ECX_TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE, 100, ORDER_DETAILS_XO, , 27), (ECX_PASSWORD, 100, CONS.ADE, , 27), (ECX_DOCUMENT_NUMBER, 100, 9285, , 27), (BES_PAYLOAD_OBJECT, 100, false, , 27), (ECX_ATTACHMENTS, 100, , , 27), (ECX_TRANSACTION_TYPE, 100, XKLB, , 27), , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )), 0, , )
    When I tried to select APPLSYS.WF_WS_JMS_IN for the 2nd time, there is no result, which means the business event has been triggered, right?
    So in this point I still don't have any idea why the process is (likely) ended after enter the Queue and the message can't store into B's database yet.
    Do I miss any setup when changing from OXTA into SOAP protocol to send XML message?
    Any urgent help most appreciated.

  • How to extract the actual XML document from soap message?

    My problem is " how to extract the actual XML document from soap message? "
    i just want to extract the attachment i.e. (pure XML document without any soap header or envolope).
    i could be ver thank full if u could solve my problem.
    [email protected]

    Hi,
    This is some skeleton code for extracting an attachment from a SOAPMessage.
    import javax.activation.DataHandler.;
    import javax.xml.soap.*;
    import javax.xml.message.*;
    Iterator allAttachments = message.getAttachments();
    AttachmentPart ap1 = null;
    while(allAttachments.hasNext()){
    ap1 = (AttachmentPart)allAttachments.next();
    //Check that the attachment is correct one. By looking at its mime headers
    //Convert the attachment part into its DOM representation:
    if(ap1.getContentType() == "text/xml"){
    //Use the activation dataHandler class to extract the content, then create a StreamSource from
    //the content.
    DataHandler attachmentContent = ap1.getDataHandler();
    StreamSource attachmentStream = new StreamSource(attachmentContent.getInputStream());
    DOMResult domAttachment = getDOMResult(attachmentStream);
    domAttachment holds an xml representation of the attachment.
    Hope this helps.

  • Implement a SOAP Request in an SSIS Package that sends a SOAP Message (Env) with Authentication Info, Receives XML FIle?

    We need a small SSIS package to pass a SOAP message to a SOAP server and receive the response xml message.
    We have the SOAP Endpoint, SOAP Action, and SOAP Message (which contains authentication elements). They work in a Talend Data Integration job (using
    Talend's tSOAP component). A screenshot showing the Talend job and the configuration of the tSOAP component
    is attached.
    We need to implement the same thing in a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 SSIS package but haven't been able to get an SSIS Web Services task to work.
    We haven't been able to configure it to pass the SOAP Action and SOAP Message.
    How should this be accomplished in SSIS?
    kholberger

    I guess I was not clear.  The Talend job works perfectly (and it took only a few minutes to configure).
    I need to replicate the SOAP request function in an SSIS package.  I've been trying to configure an SSIS Web Services Task to do that without success.
    The SSIS Web Service Task asks for the .wsdl file, which I provide (though the Talend component
    does not ask for it), but the SSIS WST does not ask for the SOAP Action or SOAP message.  The target web service is protected by a security gateway that rejects the SSIS WST request.  Somehow, the Talend tSOAP component sends the
    SOAP message, which contains the security definition and authentication credentials (you can see part of that in the screen shot) which the endpoint accepts.
    The question is: "How does one implement a SOAP web service request in an SSIS package that sends the SOAP Message".
    Thanks.

  • Posting XML via HTTP post returns "Envelope missing in SOAP message header"

    The error means your EJB is not deployed.
    Adding a EJB module to your application.xml file of the ear should fixe
    it.

  • Non-Blocking SOAP-Message WITHOUT Messaging Provider?

    Hi there!
    Is there any possibility of sending a non-blocking SOAP-Message WITHOUT using a MessagingProvider?
    Im thinking about a Service which doesnt need to give any Feedback!
    Thanks alot!
    Eric Sommer

    I believe that JAXM does not support a non-blocking send without a messaging provider. However, the receiver can simply return an empty message and the sender can ignore the reply:
    public SOAPMessage onMessage(SOAPMessage msg) {
        // process message
        return messageFactory.createMessage();
    }In fact, the receiver may be able to return the same message it received. I've tried this and it works but I didn't dig into the JAXM spec to be sure it's legal.

  • ADDING xml to the SOAP Message from client

    Hi, does anyone know how to add an xml file to the SOAP message passed by the client to the server?
    I need to send an xml file, I have already tried attachments but they dont meet the purpose. I need to send the xml as part of the soap message in AXIS 1_4.
    I read this somewhere about
    SOAPEnvelope env = message.getSOAPEnvelope;
    env.addBodyElement( new RPCElement("SOAPaccess","webservicename", new
              Object[] { }) );
    FileInputStream file = new FileInputStream( "c:\\abcd.xml");
    SOAPBodyElement aBody = new SOAPBodyElement( file );
    file.close();
    env.addBodyElement( aBody );
              However I am not certain how to go about doing this in axis.
    I have been trying to find something related to this, but havent been able to.
    Please let me know if you know how to add xml file to the body of a SOAP message.

    If anyone is interested...I got this working,
    //b is the byte form of the xml document.
    InputStream is = new ByteArrayInputStream(b);
              Document doc =XMLUtils.newDocument(is);
              SOAPElement me = new MessageElement(doc.getDocumentElement());
              SOAPElement a=message.getSOAPBody().addChildElement(me);
              MessageContext mc=_call.getMessageContext();
              mc.setMessage(message);
              mc.getMessage().getSOAPBody().detachNode();
              SOAPBody sb = (SOAPBody)mc.getMessage().getSOAPPart().getEnvelope().addBody();
              sb.addChild(new MessageElement(doc.getDocumentElement()));
              mc.getMessage().saveChanges();
              System.out.println(mc.getMessage().getSOAPPart().getEnvelope());
              SOAPEnvelope env=(SOAPEnvelope)mc.getMessage().getSOAPPart().getEnvelope();
