Hi Ravi,
Could you please elaborate what you are trying to do or achive or prevent?
How is the duplicacy being created in GRPO? Are you starting from new blank GRPO and copying source document an existing PO or copying PO to GRPO and then manually trying to dupicate the row etc?
To me it seems like operational discipline that the enterprise should stipulate to prevent such occurings. An employee may make a mistake once or twice but then management will stipulate by circulating memorandum to be careful and operations will fall in place.
Nevertheless, please clarify the scenario a bit more.

Row chaining issue in Oracle 10g

Hello All,
I was seeing row chaining issue in one of our production DB. Row chaining was present in all tables having LONG RAW columns.
As of now I am not supposed to change these to BLOB/CLOB, so I did exp/imp to solve the issue. However, we are repeating this excercise once every quarter, and now it is time we put a permanent fix to it.
One of such tables has below storage parameters:

PCTFREE    10
INITRANS   1
MAXTRANS   255
STORAGE    (
            INITIAL          40K
            MINEXTENTS       1

Here's something I threw together rq. The script is in the change event for the checkbox in the table. (Of course, you'll have to modify it to suit the names of your fields.)

Row Height Issue

Oh Hi I have selected Optimize height by row content from Table and font tab and it shows all my text in activity name but when i saved the layout it changes back to keep current rows heights. Can any one tell me how do i fix this

The "Row Height" issue is a common problem. Some things that affect my row height are:
* Not saving my layout after changing row height
* Notebook items in the gantt chart affecting the row height and may have to be manually widened to display all of the text or symbols

Optimize height by row content:* Indicates you want each row's height determined by its content. If you choose this option, type or select the maximum number of lines that should be included in each row.

Front Row Scrolling Issue

Hello. Just looked at the archives for this problem. Doesn't look like any posts on it since Nov. 2009 but it was never solved. So, I'm reopening it in hopes of finding an answer.
In Front Row while scrolling through my movies library the selection will jump back to the last played item unless I can quickly select a new item I'm stuck on the old one. Very odd. Pretty new problem as I've not been using Front Row much until lately. Of note is that it has a hard time figuring out what the preview should be for the selected item.
This is on my MBP with 2gb ram and 500gb hd.

Oops. Spoke too soon. I haven't solved the issue completely.
Ok, more info:
When I first start FR it works flawlessly. Then, after I select and play a movie and it plays completely (I chose a 5 minute Pixar short) then go back and try to scroll through to find another option, then I get preview errors and the selection jumps to the last played item. Repairing permissions only works if you quite FR and then restart. So I tried just quitting and restarting FR and it solved the problem for the first show then it came back after the video completed its run. So. The work around is to quit and restart FR after every video. That kinda *****.
I checked the console and got this:

Don't know what that means or how to fix it.
Any thoughts?

Result Row value Issue

Hi All,
I have created a query which has multiple selection & formula in it. One of my formula is not working properly.
Description of the issue:
Key figure is "no. of Shipment"
A calculated key figure "Total no of Shipment" is capturing the result row value of "No of Shipment".
But some time it doesn't work as expected. I don't know why.
For example if I select a week range then it dosen't work. I have used the "Total no of Shipment" in no. of other calculated key figure for calculation.
Meaning for %On-Time = (On-Time A%Total no of Shipment)
Below query is filter by fiscal week =Result
Plant|FiscalWeek|NoofShipments|Totalnoof Shipments|%OnTm
=====       ======   ========= ==========    ========
A |        Result |     98    |    78    |       104.10 %
Here "Total no. of Shipment" should be 98 but is not able to pick up the Result value & it getting 78...I don't know from where it get the number.
Please let me know if any body has faced similar case or is there any OSS note to fix the issue.

I tried as per you're suggestion. It didn't work.
See my key figure is "No.Of Shipment" & formula is
"Total no. of Shipment" = SUMCT (No.Of Shipment)
So whenever the result row of "No.Of Shipment" changes then "Total no. of Shipment" should pick up the value.
Please let me know if you have any other solution.

Row lock issue when doubleclicking field

hi all,
i hav this confusing scenario on my oracle forms 6i.
i have this field that can be enabled trough onmouse double click (with set item propert, update_allowed) that allows user 1 to update current data.
when user 2 opens the same page where that field is located, and tries to edit that certain field, i encounter an error stating that user 2 could not access the field.
my database returns a row lock contention.
is there anyway that 2 users could be able to edit transactions simultaneously?

Table section with 3 header rows pagination issue

I have a table section pagination issue. In my case the table section combines 3 header rows.

As you can see on the first page there is no more place for a data row but the header still exists.
if I set keep with next flag on the pagination tab for all header rows the result will be:
Is it possible somehow to fix it?
I would like to have the header row output on the page only if a data row exists bellow the header, the footer should only output if a data row exists above.

The solutions is easy. You´d better create the corresponding DDIC objects hierarchy in the backend and then use the form to PRINT the prepared data ONLY. I mean:
In your backend:
in a row there is a dataset (table) and a optional dataset (table) == DDIC structure with two "fields" of type "table" = row A
use this "row" to create the "outer" table == DDIC table type with row A
Then you can just drag and drop this structure in your adobe form and will have do difficult with formatting.

Row height Issues

I'm working in MS Project 2013. My row height has adjusted itself and the text within the rows has reduced in size and it looks silly. There's lots of unnecessary white space. Not sure if its something to do with text wrapping, regardless,
I don't know how to adjust the row heights back to the standard height. Has anyone else encountered this issue in the past?

In the format tab, unclick the "wrap text" option:
Then select the entire table by clicking on the grey top left case, select a line between 2 rows in the grey first column (ID) and reduce the row height. Finally note that the row height is a parameter in your table definition.

Automated Row Fetch Issue

I have a form based on a table where i have 2 keys as primary key (col1,col2)==>composite pk.
sample values are like:
col1 col2
1 21
2 21
62 21
62 1
But issue is at the point where the automatic row fetching is getting executed

Primary column value is col1(only one column is allowed in apex Auto row fetch)
Secondary key column is col2.
For ex, when i access the row for col1=62, it fetches 2 rows where value=62 (based on col1)
and i get error;
(exact fetch returns more than 1 row)
How to avoid this

Setting the proper page item in the Item Containing Secondary Key Column Value field and proper table column name in the Secondary Key Column of the row fetch screen should work. My off-the-cuff guess would be that either one of those fields does not have the correct value, or when you are branching to this page that the page item containing the secondary key is not being populated.

SELECT returning different rows when issued from SQL Developer or Java apps

Hi there. I'm facing a problem here: I'm trying to issue a SELECT from Java, which should return me 2 rows; but I'm getting just one. When I issue the SELECT directly through SQL Developer it gives me the expected result. I've pastebin the code at http://paste.uni.cc/11821, where I've described in details the problem.

I would code it a bit differently, but I don't think that would solve your problem.
I suggest setting up the JDBC logging. I'm not promising it will help, but I guess it

Crystal report returning duplicate rows - Linking issue?

Hello,
I know this is a commonly brought up issue - that duplicate rows are returned in Crystal reports for various reasons. In a lot of instances, where it's only a single row of data per case that I'm looking for, I'll move them to their own group. But that solution doesn't work here.
The tables and links used in the simple report I have are illustrated in the attached "Report Database Expert Links.jpg" file, and the conditions and report fields required as as follows:
Select Expert conditions:
{CLAIM_PERIODS.CPE_START_DATE} < Today and
{CLAIM_PERIODS.CPE_END_DATE} > Today and
{CLAIM_ROLES.CRO_START_DATE} < Today and
IsNull({CLAIM_ROLES.CRO_END_DATE})
Report Design fields (in Details section):
CLAIMS.CLA_REFNO, CLAIM_ROLES.CRT_CODE, PARTIES.PAR_PER_FORENAME, PARTIES.PAR_PER_SURNAME
So what this report is to do:
It looks for benefit claims which are live (have a CLAIM_PERIODS.CPE_START_DATE prior to today, and CLAIM_PERIODS.CPE_END_DATE after today), and for these claims gives a breakdown of all people in the household (everyone associated with that claim, where CLAIM_ROLES.START DATE is prior to today, and end date is null - to pick out those who are currently active in the household).
This works fine otherwise, but the issue is that each live claim can have either one or two rows present in CLAIM_PARTS and CLAIM_PERIODS (so could satisfy my first two conditions twice). For claims with only a single claim part active, I get each household member listed once. But when they have two claim parts active, I get eveyone listed twice.
Is there a way - either in how I'm linking the tables up, or how I'm arranging the report design, that I can have every household member only appear once no matter how many related rows there are in CLAIM_PARTS and CLAIM_PERIODS?

In the report mentioned, this sort of works. It works very well on individual fields - so I could just "Suppress If Duplicated" on the forename and then remove duplicates on that column when exported to Excel (or simply bring in a unique field such as the party reference number and do likewise).
However, is there a way to get Crystal to do this for me? So to suppress the whole line based on whether or not I'm suppressing this one field?
Just applying "Suppress If Duplicated" to all fields at once seems to have slightly unpredictable behaviour - not suppressing every field in the row. So I experimented a bit with using the "Suppress" tick to do this, then applying a formula to it. But the closest I can get for the formula is something like:
- {PARTIES.PAR_PER_FORENAME} = previous({PARTIES.PAR_PER_FORENAME}) and
{PARTIES.PAR_PER_SURNAME} = previous({PARTIES.PAR_PER_SURNAME}) and
Which will only compare the current row with previous. Is there a way to do the same comparison but with all previous rows?

Front Row sorting issues

Hello,
I know this issue has been posted several times and without any real solutions. But I'm going to ask again anyway in case the magical hacking gnomes have found a work-around.
I have many sorting issues. There seems to be a lot of kvetching on here already about how Front Row sorts TV shows. But not only do my shows come up backwards within seasons, in some cases seasons themselves are out of order. For example, I have all 3 seasons of 30 Rock (purchased through iTMS) and they go season 1, season 3, season 2. Several other shows with multiple seasons are the same.
But I also have a music sorting issue. The first part of this issue has to do with compilations. I've got several compilations in my library, and in iTunes I've sorted them by Various Artists rather than individual artists. In Front Row, if I scroll down to "V," there is no "Various Artists" like you might expect but instead a list of all the artists in all the compilations completely out of order. (Actually, they're ordered by their track number on the different albums. Yeah. That makes sense.) I could deal with these artists showing up in their normal places alphabetically, but not all lumped together under V.
The other issue has to do with albums with one artist who has some tracks that feature other artists. Kanye West's "Graduation" is a good example. About half the tracks on the album are him "featuring Jamie Foxx," for example. So I put "Kanye West" in the sort field of this album so it displays properly in iTunes. Not only does this seem to have no effect on how things are sorted in Front Row, but there's actually multiple "Kanye West"s now, each one identical, as well as multiple "Kanye West feat. Jamie Foxx," lines and all the other multiple artist track. Uh...what?
So I know that Front Row for some ridiculous reason is (a) not customizable and (b) operates under completely different sorting rules than iTunes (which makes no sense), but if anyone has any advice or tips or comments or whatever, that would be greatly appreciated.
I've considered switching to a different media management program, but what I like about Front Row is its simplicity. I don't really feel like learning a whole new system (let alone getting my wife to buy into that idea). I've got better ways to spend my time. So, it's a trade off, I guess.

I can't believe we're still banging on about the sorting problems. Apple have seen fit to provide a number of features to allow the user to get iTunes working the way they like, e.g. grouping compilation artists and the use of sort fields. I think you can now even keep compilation artists grouped on the iPod. But why oh why do they then totally ignore this for the AppleTV and Front Row (which look like the same codebase to me)?
I have hundreds of genuine Artists that I want to see listed in the Artists' list, but not the thousands of others that appear on compilations. They don't even sort the artists by the Artist Sort field that they themselves provide in iTunes. This makes a nonsense of trying to use either the ATV or Front Row.
Playlists are no help as they simply lump all contained tracks in one great list. Useless.
The annoying thing is, they can get it right. iTunes just gets better and better in this regard, each release sorting out more of the omissions of earlier versions. But ATV and Front Row - nope, nothing. Still just as stupid as always. Just what will it take to convince Apple to 'sort' (ha) this out? How can they justify such entirely different ways of working on their different products?

Row Total issue in table view

I am using 11.1.1.5. In table view we have 4 dim and 5 facts. I need row total only for 3 facts. Whenever I set total using sigma(E) I am getting total for all 5 facts. How to calculate row total only for 3 facts only?.

Formula - Row - Formatting Issue - Please Help

I am currently writting a report in Business Objects (Web Intelligence Document) to reflect Incentives gained by our call centre staff. I have written the report and all the data is correct and it gives me the info i need, however for cosmetics reasons and easy view for managers i need the report to line the row correctly.
For Example:
A customer calls and wants to add legal cover and personal accident cover to their policy mid-term - Holly Daniels (a member of our staff) will do that change for the customer which means she gains 10% of the costing of each product sold..these changes are classed as two events but it is actually only one change. Which means Holly's name appears twice on two different rows and in the legal cover column it says £2.50 in the cell and on a separate row under the personal accident column she has £1.50 in that cell, however the question is, i need both of these showing on one row rather than two with Holly's name only appearing once.
This will work in excel as the formula only represents one cell, however in the Web Intelligence Document one formula represents the whole column.
Is there a formula for this or any advice would be much appreciated.

This you can achieve By Using Input and Output contexts.
1)     Create Variable as Sum_of_cover
2)     Write Formula as   sum() IN (;[Customer Name])
3)     Place this formula as Total Legal Cover.
It will display Value Policy Number, Customer Name only once and Legal Cover as sum of 2 values i.e. 1.5 and 2.5.
Date                  Policy Number            Customer Name      Legal_cover
21/10/2008           210000088                 Holly Daniels                £4.00
if itu2019s not working try the following .
sum() IN (;[Customer Name]) IN ()
here at the end of formula use either Customer Name / Policy Number whichever works.
