RPE-02083 again with OWB and Workflow

Hi,
We're having this problem once again. The last time we had to completely delete all our mappings, process flows, etc. and rebuilt them. This is very annoying ! And we don't have time to do this everytime we modify our OWB mappings. I opened a SR for OWB, but it seems that the problem is with the workflows. Any idea how we can find a decent solution...

Its sad I can't find this thread searching here with "RPE-02083". Keywords to webmaster: Fulltext search, "LIKE", ... But luckily we have Google... ;)
Concerning your problem we were experiencing the same for about a week:
RPE-02083: Process WF_DMTRZ_BILANZD_DIGIS has errored Activities. Dependent objects may not have been deployed. You can use Oracle Workflow Monitor to retry the activities or abort the process.
If you are working with more than one Design Repository and deploying the same Processflow or Mapping with different UOIDs you will run into this error message. Tough deployment was fine and all objects are valid in the DB, OWB checks on starting the workflow all dependencies by UOID, as I assume, and not by object name. So in situations where a started Processflow expects a mapping to be started and the UOID is different than expected you get the RPE-02083.
A SQL script accessing the runtime/WF repository showing missing links (by UOID) would be helpfull here, but I guess it needs a lot of experience to create such a script.

How do I get sync to work again with Typekit and Creative Cloud?

I have been using my CC apps with Typekit and it was syncing fine. Now for that last few days I am getting a sync error message. More info is useless—blames lack of an internet connection which is not accurate. I've turned sync off and on, remove and readied the fonts from type kit. Closed out and logged back in to CC app. Nothing is working. I have two DSL lines both of which are working and have tried it connected to each in turn. Still cannot sync.
I am now online with Adobe phone support after a 2-hr wait for the call back. Just told my story again. On hold. Now they tell me Adobe can't do anything other than read the same troubleshooting docs that Typekit has on their site (which I've already done). This alliance only works if Adobe and Typekit work together. I've already emailed twice and tweeted to Typekit and gotten ZERO response. I was pretty emphatic with the guy in Adobe tech support and he said he would escalate it to the India "Dream Team." Hopefully they will be more dream than nightmare.

I'm sorry that you ran into trouble with this. Typekit Support did not recieve your email, and didn't realize you were waiting for a reply. I do apologize for that.
Would you please send your recent log files to [email protected] so that we can take a look? I've included the instructions below. It sounds like there may be a problem with your computer reaching the Creative Cloud servers, and the logs will have more information.

WorkFlow get triggered even if we set trigger for item update with SPEmailEventReceiver and workflow attached to same Library

I have a situation, SPEmailEventReceiver and WorkFlow is attached to same library, WorkFlow is configured to run after item is updated, but soon as the email is received in library the workflow
is getting triggered, We have a action to create folder with subject and date and put the attachment with the date folder in SPEmailEventReceiver e.g: once a mail is received in library the SPEmailEventReceiver will create a folder with Subject and then Folder
with Date and then put the attachment in the date folder so hierarchy will be subject folder/Date folder/attachment
I have tried to alter the SquenceNumber attribute in Feature Element file to 1 and make the Synchronization as synchronous but no luck.

Trouble again with iTunes and iTunes server

Is anyone having issues with iTunes and thier iTunes server using 10.5, I have a NAS that acts as a iTunes server and all was well prior to the 10.5 update.

Are you running any Firewalls or Anti-Virus software? If so, disable all of that stuff & try again.

OWB and Workflow

I'm running OWB 10g on a 10g database. I'm attempting to deploy the workflow process developed in OWB to the edw schema in my database. I'm receiving the following error.
RPE-02018: Oracle Workflow schema OWF_MGR on host 10.150.10.20 cannot be accessed using service DWREP through port 1599. Please check the location details and try again.
- ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
Do I need to deploy the processflows into a schema that has runtime objects? I tried to deploy the flows to owf_mgr's schema and got a runtime repository does not exsist. Then I tried to deploy the flows to my edw schema which has my target dims and cubes, and I receieved the error mentioned. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You create a process flow module, and a process flow location (stating OWF type and version 2.6.3). Then you register this location to the OWF_MGR schema in the deployment manager.
Please verify you have the setup as described here.
Then you click deploy and OWB will create:
- A dblink to the Runtime Repository
- A workflow definition in the OWF_MGR schema with the correct activities.

I.m using OWB 10.1.0.4.0 and choosing "Project" then "Metadata Export" and finally "Bridge" I can lanch a wizard that allow me to choose between 3 kind of export.
If you choose OLAP the wizard will ask you which collection of metadata to export and other options, after succesfully running this wizard (which is not so easy) you can open the AWM and see the export of your dimesion and cube iside an AW.
I'm finding lots of problems using this feature due to the limited options I can set to the cube and the dimension (type of aggregations, calculated measures, limit on the number of measures in the cube, etc.).
Waiting for the new OWB Paris if you can post your experience it will be very appreciated.

use some tags of this clob in a process of ora workflow. I know that there is a standard function get tag, but how can I say where the tag must get his information?
Oracle should foreseen a document with step-by-step instructions, how to use XML in Oracle workflow. There is nothing to find on OTN or Metalink or even the internet to do this.

If you are using the standard XML Get Tag Value activity, you can specify the tag set in XPath notation. For details about this notation, see the W3C Recommendation "XML Path Language (XPath)". Note that this standard activity looks for the CLOB within an event message structure. See:

RH6 crashes with th and conditional build tags

She just tried again with X6 and after several changes (set
heading, insert, delete, etc.) she had the same constellation.
Unfortunately, until now, she could not find out the exact way to
reproduce. But it is definitely possible. We will post here, when

Best way to JOIN with OWB 10.2

im a newbie in working with OWB and i also apologize for my englisch. I have the following Issue. Im using Oracle warehousebuilder and i want to load data in a new Table as Table3 from two distinct source table Table1 and Table2.
It should look like this: Table3.col1 = Table1.col2 ; Table3.col2 = Table1.col3; Table3.col3 = Table2.colb.
I mean it is a kind of JOIN but the column from Table3 have to be just the same as the column from Table1 and Table2 and no other combination.
Table1 : col1 | col2 | col3
Table2: cola | colb | colc
Table3: Table1.col2 | Table1.col3 | Table2.colb
Can someone help me?

The problem is that you are trying to model a query that requires something more than a simple join as you seem to hope..
Joining based on simple table row order is not something relational databases are really designed to do well. They join on values. For example, if you simply try to write basic SQL to make your join you discover the problem:
select t1.col1, t2.colb
from   table1 a,
         table2 b
where a.rownum = b.rownum ;What you get is an ORA-01747 error as the rownum psuedocolumn is not valid in this context. But if you don't find a way to join on roworder you get the crossproduct - which is NOT what you want.
The simplest pure SQL join to get your results as described in your sample data is:
select a.col1, b.cola
from   (select rownum rnum, s.* from table1 s) a,
         (select rownum rnum, t.* from table2 t) b
where a.rnum(+) = b.rnum;but this only implies a possible one-way outer join to meet your described data sample. If you want a full outer join to handle the possibilities where either table could have more or less rows than the other, then
select a.col1, b.cola
from   ((select rownum rnum, s.* from table1 s) a
         full outer join
       (select rownum rnum, t.* from table2 t) b
       on (a.rnum = b.rnum))Now, clearly this is NOT going to me modelled as just a simple join in OWB. First, you need to find a way to add the rownum pseudocolumn to both table result sets in order to be able to join on them. For example, you could use an expression object for each table, dump all of the fields straight from the expression input to the expression output, and then add a rownum column to the output as well. Then join the two with a joiner defined as full outer join on the two rownum fields and map the required columns to the target table.
Or, you could create a view:
Create or replace view table1_And_2_outer_join as
select a.*, b.*
from   ((select rownum rnum1, s.* from table1 s) a
         full outer join
       (select rownum rnum2, t.* from table2 t) b
       on (a.rnum = b.rnum))And use that view as the source object in your mapping.
Or create two views:
Create or replace view table1_with_rownum as
select rownum rnum1, s.* from table1;
Create or replace view table2_with_rownum as
select rownum rnum2, t.* from table2 tAnd then use the two views as your sources and join them together using the joiner object defined as outer join on the rownumber values.
Any of those three options will get you what you seem to want.

ok i've seen this in several threads and haven't found one with an anwser. the software required for communicating with ipod and mobile phones was not installed correctly. of course when you tell it to repair it does not. this has happened several times now and only cure i have found is uninstalling itunes and reinstalling. works for maybe a few weeks then does the same thing and i start all over again with uninstall and reinstall. i tunes version 10.4.1.10 64 bit running on windows 7 64 bit and trying to sync with Iphone 3gs - so anyone have a fix for this or am i stuck reinstalling itunes every few weeks???

OWB 10gR2 on DB 11g and Workflow installation

Hi all,
my customer has a data warehouse running on Oracle DB 10gR2 - 2 nodes RAC - on Linux 32 bit (Red Hat enterprise 5);
ETL is developed with OWB 10gR2 and exploits Oracle Workflow (2.6.4).
They are going to upgrade the database to 11.1 (still 2 nodes RAC) on Linux 64 bit (Red Hat enterprise 5),
and they would prefer to avoid OWB upgrade.
On Oracle Support, it seems that OWB 10gR2 is certified on DB 11.1,
so our idea is to install a OWB 10gR2 repository on DB 11.1 and then export/import MDL
from current repository (OWB 10gR2 on DB 10gR2) to the new repository (OWB 10gR2 on DB 11.1).
My first question is related to Workflow:
is it correct to install Workflow on the new DB 11.1 using the software available in the home of OWB 11g software ?
is it guaranteed thet OWB 10gR2 installed on DB 11.1 will have no problems in using such installation of OWF ?
or should we install OWF 2.6.4 on DB 11.1 using the same software that was installed on db 10gR2 ?
My second question is related to *32 bit vs 64 bit platform*;
intuitively, we should install the 64 bit version of OWB 10gR2 (and OWF) on the new plaftorm hosting DB 11g:
is ita potential issue for the OWB repository migration ?
on our pc of course we will go on using OWB Client 32 bit: are there compatibility problems?

OWB, Oracle WorkFlow, and OEM

I am a DBA who has been charged with the task of integrating Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Workflow and OEM. Our source database is 9i but our Intelligence Team would like to use 10G. Does anyone know how I might install this? Should I install 10G, then create a database for OWB and Oracle Workflow? Any direction would be helpful.

Have you found an answer? If not read on.
We are also having the same combination.
1. Identify a target server (datawarehouse server).
2. Install 10G database on it (create a seed database with DWH option).
3. Install OWB
4. Install workflow server.
Then , make OWB setups :
1. Install a design repository, through which the team can carry out ETL in the OWB client.
2. Install a runtime repository which creates 2 users - a runtime repository owner and a runtime access user('connect as') user when deploying the ETL mappings.
3. Install a target schema using the runtime where the target objects - tables, dimensions and cubes will be created.
Then, in OWB, the team have to configure the source modules as 9i and the target modules as 10g.

FTP workflow hangs with OWB 11gR2

i created a workflow process in OWB, the purpose is using "ftp" commands to execute "dir" command but it's not working.
i configured my "ftp" in workflow process with the folowing parameters

I'm using OWB and a local server (vsftpd) for testing purposes and yes i restarted my computer after editing the file, i even tried to change the values in my script but with no results, i started to think that the script is not the issue, i configured OWB according to its official documentation & I'm a little confused...
