RTPManager.addTarget() - takes few sec (2-3)

Hi all,
I use AVTransmit2 as base for my test. When call is answered at CTI port I call
AV2Transmit.start().
It takes 2-3 second to open session.
(RTPManager.addTarget() )
If I call AV2Transmit.stop() and after it AV2Transmit.start() again, it starts streaming imediately.
What takes so long and how to avoid these delays?
Cisco phone, Call manager and PC are in the same subnet.
Zdenko

Here is a solution to addTarget() problem I first posted on JMF forum on Nov 4, 2005
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=247408
This is a quote from my post:
To resolve addTarget delay problem do this trick for the first target:
String ipadr = [target ip address];
int port=[target port];
InetAddress adr = InetAddress.getByName(ipadr);
byte[] badr = adr.getAddress();
InetAddress nadr = InetAddress.getByAddress( InetAddress.getLocalHost().getHostName(), badr );
[Or even simpler: InetAddress nadr = InetAddress.getByAddress( “localhost”, badr );]
Now addTarget (new SessionAddress(nadr, port)) takes no time at all.
Again it's enough to do this only for the first target.

    With the URL of the feed one can check it in iTunes and submit it to FeedValidator as a first-line method of locating problems. It's nearly impossible to read right through a long feed's text looking for the one tiny error which may have borked it. With both URLs it's much easier to check things - including whether iTunes is using the feed the originator thinks it is (not always the case).
    If you've been getting quick updates in the Store you've been lucky; the Store checks feeds in some sort of rotation and so it depends where you happen to be in the cycle when you upload a change.

  • After reinstalling Photoshop CS6 Bridge is very slow. It takes 15 sec to respond to a mouse click. Photoshop is OK.

    I had to reinstall Photoshop CS6 after rebuilding my PC. Now Bridge takes 15 sec to respond to a mouse click. Photoshop is fine. I have installed all updates.
    Any thoughts?

    Slow as compared to what?  Have you seen better performance with older versions of Photoshop?
    >after app launched, it takes nearly 5 seconds to be able to browse through menus
    Takes my system longer than that to start Photoshop CS5, and while my computer isn't a top-of-the-line workstation today (it was a few years ago), it's no slouch.  Photoshop has never been a fast application to start up.

    Firefox 3x was released in July 2008 and is no longer supported. You'll have to upgrade to a later version, preferably the current one which is 8.0.1. Be aware that if you choose to install an older version, then you'll be exposing your system to the exploits documented these release notes: http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html#firefox8
    You can download Firefox 8.0.1 from here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/
    After you download that, could you please follow instructions in this thread to uninstall, then reinstall Flash as your issue may be due to file corruption if you didn't disable your security app before installing Flash: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4081633#4081633

    3rd gen iPod touch. I just get a blank screen (after a few secs of the apple symbol) when it is switched on or when connected for charging. I know the connections are OK. Suggestions/help please

    I took the iPod to the local Apple shop. The guy put the iPod onto a docking station and checked it - answer "connections are OK". I have used the link before but have not gone through all its suggestions (although picked on the most relevant ones). I may have to go back. Thanks again for your suggestions

  • With vodafone usb modem broadband, it takes mozilla 5 mins. to access a website;Mozilla 1.7 takes 30 secs.

    I have vodafone broadband mobile lite (USB modem) and after selecting a website, it takes up to 5 mins. to get there and open it. (and by the way, IE is the same), whereas old old Mozilla 1.7, which is what I am submitting this through, takes 30 secs, or so via vodafone.

    Hello Bulko,
    It may be that there is an issue with your hard drive. Running Disk Utility's Verify Disk (and Repair Disk as necessary) can help resolve many such issues.

    I have a problem with my new Apple Air. It usually takes few seconds for the laptop to be untouched in order to be locked. So, sometimes when the screen starts to get dim in order to lock, I immediately touch the keypad to avoid locking the laptop, the result is a black screen appears with no responding to anything from pressing the keyboard to pressing the touchpad. It takes few minutes for the laptop to open again and then a message appears saying that there was a problem with the lock security.
    What is happening exactly?

    It sounds like your sleep timers are set to too low of a value.  Go to System Preferences -> Energy Saver and set both timers to longer times.  The computer sleep timer should be a longer time than the display sleep timer.

  • Launching Flash Builder 4 Help takes 20 secs (ACH or browser)

    We have 5 flex developers on our team who are all running into the same issue with the dynamic help:
    1) Hit F1 (display help section)
    2) Select a class (ArrayList for example)
    3) Click on the Related API (mx.collections.ArrayList) in the help section.
    4) It then take 15-20 seconds for the page to display in Adobe Community Help which is already running.
    5) If I switch the preferences to 'Open Help in Browser' it take the same amount of time for the webpage to open.
    There's no CPU load during this waiting time. This is really hitting our productivity.
    Any ideas?

    Hi: have you guys downloaded the local help for Flash Builder yet?  That should actually boost performance, even for online search/browsing.  Here's why:  when you download the local Help content, the Help system also downloads an intermediary XML file that we use to resolve context-sensitivity and a few other functions. Having this file cached locally should improve launch times for both the AIR app and the browser.
    To be sure, open up the Community Help AIR app and check Preferences:
    Windows: CTRL+ K  or check under the Edit menu
    Mac:  Cmd + comma or check under Adobe Help > Preferences
    Then click on the Local Content tab -- you should see the various package titles available for download with a status message (pending download, current, etc.).
    We are working on an update so that we can deliver the intermediary XML file by default when a user opens the app, instead of delivering it via the content download.  That fix should be coming out soon.

  • Toshiba 32AV615DB screen flickers off for a split sec every few sec

    Hello,
    I got my toshiba television around the end of 2009 and havent had any problems until recently.
    Whilst watching my virgin + box and whilst on the gaming console, the screen flickers off for a split second every few seconds.
    At first I thought it was me blinking it happens that fast until somebody else noticed it as well.
    This does not happen whilst using the tele for a monitor for my PC.
    Does anybody know what the problem is and if I am able to fix it or not?
    I purchased the tele from RicherSOunds with a 5 year garuntee so if it is anything bad I can take it back and they will fix it or give me a new one free of charge.
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi
    If the warranty is still valid, I would recommend you to contact the technician (service point) in your country in order to check the TV.
    Everything what you can do is to check some settings and cable connection but thats it.
    TV troubleshooting is limited and in most cases such issues need an check from experts.

  • IPod freezes randomly for a few secs during music playback

    Hi,
    My 'iPod Classic 160' is playing up of late.
    It started a few months ago. During music playback, it would freeze for a 'fraction' of a second randomly but as time has gone on, it freezes for up to 5 secs now. I've used iTunes to 'restore' my iPod and have the latest firmware updates, but still the same problem. I use MP4 for music.

  • After I have opened a page in a new window Firefox after a few secs return to the previous page.

    I click on a link in one page to open another page in a new window. This happens and I am brought to the new window, but after 1-3 secs I am brought back to the original window.
    To go to the new window I have to move the cursor to the list at the bottom of the screen and click on the entry for the new window.
    This behavior started a few weeks ago (say early September).
    The problem is consistent.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    *Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
