Rules in SES

Hi,
can anyone explain step by step, how to work on the exclusion and inclusion rules?
This is a page.
http://<host>:<port>/portal/page/portal/test/portlets/page1/club
Here, have a one link(Club -> http://<host>:<port>/portal/page/portal/page/home), its going to another page.
I clicks on the http://<host>:<port>/portal/page/portal/test/portlets/page1/club page, its display one page without header and footer. so, i want to exclude this url.
I search the word "club".
Its display 2 result.
1.http://<host>:<port>/portal/page/portal/content/portlets/page1/club
2.http://<host>:<port>/portal/page/portal/page/home
Now i need to display the only one result. I want to exclude the first url.
I saw the documentation, but its bit confusion. please help me.
Thanks!

Hey, Ray & welcome to the forums.
Don't set a 'rule' - go to Mail preferences/general/advanced and do it there √ instead.

  • Ses 10.1.3.1 sample Rule isn't working...

    PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I'M MISSING HERE...
    I read the README located at 10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\j2ee\home\applications\edge\edge\sample\StreamsSample folder.
    I followed it and did the following in sqlplus(as edge user) :
    exec edg_utl.add_rule(ruleName => 'MyRule', condition => ':event.type = 200', param => 'edg_utl.testProc', command => 'call');
    exec edg_utl.set_log_level(edg_utl.tcdebug);
    exec DBMS_APPLY_ADM.STOP_APPLY('EDG_APPLY');
    exec DBMS_APPLY_ADM.START_APPLY('EDG_APPLY');
    select count(*) from edg_log;
    COUNT(*)
    0
    exec edg_utl.sendToStage (200,1,'id','sitename','devicename','data',systimestamp,'sourcename','correlid');
    select count(*) from edg_log;
    COUNT(*)
    0

    Jep, the readme is in a directory "j2ee\home\applications\edge\edge\sample\StreamsSample".
    It gives a hint to restart the apply process after changing the log level. From my pov this also allies to chages/recompile e.g. in plsql callback procedures:
    exec DBMS_APPLY_ADM.STOP_APPLY('EDG_APPLY');
    exec DBMS_APPLY_ADM.START_APPLY('EDG_APPLY');
    Run it as sys db user.

  • Error Log in Acceptance Posting : Service Entry Sheet (SES)

    Dear all,
    During acceptance of SES, i encountered the error message below:
    RC= 3 F5 672 G/L Account <company code> 280000 not consistent.
    Using the error message id, i manage to trace it down to a standard FI substitution rule LFACIF02. Whereby, it needs the G/L account 280000 master data to have this field "only balances in local currency" tick / selected. (tcode FS00, tab Control Data)
    Now, i am pretty confuse with this finding -- what does this field actually do ?
    The framework order PO created holds the similar currency as the G/L account's currency. I read the help info via F1, but don't understand why, when the field is untick, it will lead to the error message above.
    Appreciate it you could shed some lights on this matter. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Use T.code:FS00 and check G/L account 280000 is there in your company code or not.
    If yes, check its nature(type/description,control data , cretae bank/intererst tabs)of G/L
    NOTE: Also check and compare the field selection between Movement type 101 & your G/L account 280000 in SE38 t.code with  Program RM07CUFA

    Are we specifying any wrong parameter values.
    Thanks
    parker.

    Hi raford,
    Thanks for your reply.
    We just provided the view name....and hence the DataBase source got created successfully.
    Now we have two scenarios here
    1)
    DataBase source in SES with parameter value for URL Prefix : http://<SES-Hostname>
    Now when we searched for content... The SES gets us the results....
    However when we clicked on the searched result(which is http://<SES-HostName>:<SES-port>/search/query/redirect.jsp?qid=161&did=2001&pos=1&idx=1&fid=)...it says cannot find server...but when i click on cached link(which is http://devilrays.appsassociates.com:7782/search/query/cache.jsp?id=2001&q=row3&fid=)... i could see the whole content.
    2)
    DataBase source in SES with parameter value for URL Prefix : http://<SES-Hostname>:<SES-Port>
    Now when we searched for content... The SES gets us the results....
    However when we clicked on the searched result(which is http://<SES-Hostname>:<SES-Port>/search/query/redirect.jsp?qid=151&did=1901&pos=1&idx=1&fid=)...it says HTTP 404 not found...but when i click on cached link(which is http://devilrays.appsassociates.com:7782/search/query/cache.jsp?id=1901&q=row3&fid=)... i[b] could see the whole content.
    Are there any changes i need to do so that when i click on search result... it gets me the content.
    Thanks
    parker.

  • SES Integration with EBS - Are MOAC Data Security Constraints Applied?

    Hi
    We are implementing SES at a client in order to allow document searching within their e-Business Suite Oracle Contracts Module. The client uses multi-organisation access control (MOAC) in order to restrict the data available to the multiple Operating Units (OUs) that they have on the platform.
    I wanted to know if SES is restricted by the Security Groups we have in place that restrict data from being shown in different OUs?
    For example: OU A belongs to Security Group A, and OU B belongs to Security Group B (the security groups are set so that the OUs data are separate). When a User from OU A searches with SES with a term that applies to a document in OU B - is the document from OU B shown, thereby ignoring the security group rules set in EBS?
    If anyone has some experience with this please could you advise
    Thanks
    James

    Hi,
    Contracts Objects have security enabled and obeys MOAC rules fro EBS. We have org_id field as security enabled for all our objects.
    So user should be seeing only data from their Org setup.
    Thanks,
    Kundana.

    Hello
    I'm trying to execute a business rule inside my process to evaluate a service output. I've been created the rules and have used before succesfully. • Painting one root Application Module to rule them all

    hi
    The description below uses the same MyApplicationModuleListener approach as I describe in the forum thread "painting a picture of Application Module pooling".
    Another example review of Application Module pools behaviour is the blog post by Chris Muir, "JDev 11g, Task Flows & ADF BC – one root Application Module to rule them all?".
    That post also says "... we'll have trouble discerning what the ADF BC layer is actually doing underneath the task flow transaction options. ...", where the approach below might help alleviate some of that discerning trouble.
    And about "... By deduction as there are no other log entries, this second instance of Root1AppModule must be nested under the root Root1AppModule? ..." more information will be logged, so less deduction is required.
    The blog post describes an application similar to this one (which is using the HR.EMPLOYEES table) created using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0
    at http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2012/OneSizeOneRootAMApp-v0.01.zip
    It uses somewhat different names than the blog post, and it has two sets of task-flows so that no transaction configuration changes are required to review the behaviour.
    When a MyApplicationModuleListener approach is introduced (with minor changes, mostly configuration, using JAR files available in MyApplicationModuleListenerApp-v0.03.zip) it results in the application available
    at http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2012/OneSizeOneRootAMApp-v0.02.zip
    Using this, the (chained) "No Controller Transaction" scenario's result in similar logging like this:

    Some additional features were added in the JAR files available
    in http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2013/MyApplicationModuleListenerApp-v0.05.zip
    Like line numbers, or a queryOneRecord() method to support logging the database session SID, or a TaskFlowInfoHelper class to allow logging task-flow transaction options or DataControlFrame information.
    If these JAR files are used, it results in the modified example application
    at http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2013/OneSizeOneRootAMApp-v0.03.zip
    For the same scenarios (using OneSizeOneRootAMApp-v0.03.zip), the resulting logging can be found in these files:

    Notice that two root Application Module instances are used in the same request (and no nested instances), and both (am501) and (am502) report using the same database session SID value. That seems to be "Bruce" [1] at work.
    Remember, it should not be difficult (and not intrusive) to configure similar logging for other ADF applications.

  • BRF+ Message Log & "Rule as Expression"

    Hi colleagues,
    I am quite new to BRFplus and have two questions:
    1) I would like to use a message log action in order to indicate errors. I tried to follow https://wiki.wdf.sap.corp/wiki/display/FDT/Message+Log   with method SET_APPLICATION_LOG_OBJECT, but I can't find the class this method belogns to. I also tried modelling a rule & action message log with help of the UI. My question is how can I log messages and where can I find them after the function is beeing processed?
    2) In every guide I can read something about rule expressions and even how to create them (e.g. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/cc/85414842c8470bb19b53038c4b5259/frameset.htm), but in the workbench there is no possibilty of creating rules as expressions but only rules and rulesets (the rule is not part of the "Expression" node).
    I hope somebody knows what I mean
    Thanks a lot & kind regards,
    Ilijana

    Thanks a lot for your response!
    Could you tell me why using rules and rulesets is not recommended for 7.01 ? This could be interesting for my bachelor thesis.
    Thanks & Kind Regards,
    Ilijana

  • Mail rules sending mail to wrong folder

    I'm downloading all my multi-account Gmail (thousands) into Mail app with rules set up to reroute gmails into their proper account inboxes/sent folders/etc. However, Mail seems to be ignoring everything I want it to do and moves ALL mail into Account 1 of my 3 inboxes. Example:
    If From is equal to "[email protected]" then move message to Account 1 sent folder.
    If To is equal to "[email protected]" and it's in Account 1 or Account 3, then move message to Account 2 inbox.
    etc.
    Could it be message overload?

    This is not working for me either, as of a week or two ago. Junk mail is marked as junk, but stays in my inbox, regardless of my junk mail settings. I have it set to move junk to the junk folder, but Mail simply refuses to do so. I tried changing the setting, closing preferences, opening prefs and changing it back, but that does not help either.
    Sadly this is the least of my problems with Mail in Leopard. I've had nothing but problems with it so far and I'm getting really frustrated. I'm running out of patience and ideas and it may simply be time to wipe out all my mailboxes and preferences, reimport all my old mail and start over from scratch again.

  • Error while Activating update rule in BW

    Hi,
    I am getting an ABAP dump while activating an update rule. The rule is from DSO to cube.
    "MESSAGE_TYPE_X" " "
    "%_T020N1" or "%_T020N1"
    "INSTANTIATE"
    I have added some new fields in a DSO. The rule is from DSO to cube. While activating it, I am getting this ABAP dump. There are few other rules from this DSO to other DSO which got activated but this one is causing dump.
    Any ideas/suggestions on this would be really helpful.
    Thanks,
    Naveen

    Hi
    Check if your Cube , DSO and UR's are active. If not reactivate them. Ideally you could recreate the UR's and check the status by running the extraction.
    I would also recommend to use elimination method to check if any particular field is creating an issue. While recreating the UR's , create them for a few fields - active - check extraction - this will also let you know if the issue is within any oif the rules.
    Cheers
    Umesh

  • Start up programs icloud doesn't play by the rules

    I intend this to be a formal complaint. I am running windows 7 64-bit on my PC, and have repeatedly removed the iCloud program from the list of assigned startup programs. Every few restarts (so every 1-2 times that I restart or turn on my computer) it appears again, running at startup, using up resources. I value the control I have over which programs open when I start my computer- by managing the programs and limiting the number which automatically run to only those which I find essential (like sound driver software, video display driver software, wireless management software, and antivirus) I am able to dramatically reduce the time it takes for my computer to be ready for use after pushing the on/off button.
    iCloud, as a singular exception within this system, does not play by the rules. I suspect that it is constantly checking for updates and upon updating or simply upon auto-running to perform this check, it resets or resestablishes information in the computer's registry, bypassing my GUI established setting and re-assigning itself as a startup program. For this reason I am now uninstalling iCloud from my computer.
    I do not know if this was an intentional tactic by Apple to make their brand even more ubiquitous than it already is, or simply an oversight/something ignored as unimportant by the developers. Either way, I find it manipulative or at the very least, a poor business practice. Thanks for reading.

    Thank you for this information. I am going to get rid of my  i Phone5c because of this policy of Apple!  Maybe they need sued to stop this policy!
