Run Allocation for integer values

Hi experts,
I am runnig an allocation for a HeadCount Account (all integer values) and I would like that the result of the allocation were also integer values, using a round instruction for example.
Could I define in Account Dimension that Signed data must be integer? or using rounding logic?
Regards

Correct me if i am wrong:
E.g.1
*REC(EXPRESSION=int(%value%))
E.g.2
*RUNALLOCATION
*FACTOR=USING
*DIM ACCOUNTB          WHAT=BR030;                           WHERE=<<<;                                               USING=PR01;
*DIM TIMEB                  WHAT=%YEAR%.TOTAL_D;       WHERE=[PARENTH1]= '%YEAR%.TOTAL';    USING=<<<;
*ENDALLOCATION
*COMMIT
How could apply Int statement in a RUNALLOCATION?

  • Running-report-for-all-values

    Hi ,
    Based on this link i have implemented this logic....
    http://bischool.wordpress.com/2009/08/26/avoid-running-report-for-all-values-on-dashboard-when-using-multi-select-prompt/
    But for the intermediate report its taking more time to run...nearly 4min...is there any way to reduce it.
    Thanks

    hi User,
    Quick question
    Why you are giving (-1) value's as per the doc we can give any value which has to give no results? Have u tried to give some other value ?
    Next,Do u have left outer joins between those tables? If yes you should face the same problem with the main report because the filters to be same as intermediate report am i right ?
    First tune-up the rpd and get the main report query ,run-it over DB
    Due to huge data and the join taking more time....is there way any thing to add to reduce the time??Huge data ?? Intermediate report will not get any results i think it will not take more time to give a message,but due to join conditions only it is taking long time to run
    Note :Before getting value from DB it will check the where condition( joins)

  • Boolean control for integer value

    I am writing wrapper VIs for a DLL, and demo programs to, well, demonstrate their use
    I have several functions which take the same structure as an input.  This structure has several integer fields (U16, if you must know) which are logically booleans (that is, only valid values are 0 and1, and in fact at some level they are converted into a single bit each).
    My VIs currently work, using a cluster that is laid out exactly like the structure.  However, I would like the interface to be prettier and easier to use.
    What I want to do is to show each of these fields as a pushbutton.  However, if I change them to pushbuttons, the cluster's internal representation is now different and I can not pass it into the DLL function.
    The only solution I have thought of is to have an input cluster with pushbuttons, then unbundle the whole thing, convert all the bools to ints, and then rebundle.  This is very cumbersome.
    Is there any way to have an integer field appear as a pushbutton (or other boolean-style) control, while remaining represented as an integer?  Or any other createive ideas?
    Thank you.
    B.

    Smercurio,
    Thank you.  I don't even know what an XControl is!
    I was thinking of using unbundle by name -- but at least half of my cluster is this kind of field, so it will get a bit messy anyway.  Also, if I am taking apart one type of cluster and building a different one, with different types, is it actually possible to only unbundle part of it?  I haven't tried it, but somehow it doesn't make sense in my mind.
    The menu ring is an interesting idea and sounds like it might be a reasonable solution, though pushbuttons are nicer; I'll have to play around with it and see how it looks.
    Mark,
    In general, I agree with you about separating the UI and the implementation, and that is how I generally write applications.  You are 100% right that it is the correct approach to engineering an application.
    The difference here is that my applications are really just demos of the library we create, and thus I don't really have to worry about giving the GUI a new look and feel or such things -- there is very little chance that my company will invest engineering time in changing the look and feel of the demo programs!
    We control the DLL, and we have to stay backwards compatible for our customers, so we don't have to worry about it changing.  We certainly don't have to worry about switching DLLs -- the entire purpose of this VI library is to wrap the DLL for customers who use LabVIEW!
    If I were just doing this in the GUI, it would be one time and maybe I'd just do it.....but I wanted to make a custom control which would be at the interface to the VIs also (they can be run manually also).
    At this point I am thinking of either the menu ring or of making a subvi which takes the UI type of cluster with booleans and does all the bundling and unbundling and type changes.  I'd still have to do it, but once, and it would be basically hidden.
    Hmmmm....

  • Need to run the report for All Values when Null is passed in parameter

    Hi All,
    In my BIP report, I am using a parameter :asset with Type as Text, which means user will type the values for the parameter in the text box.
    Now, this parameter can take multiple comma separated values. I have a requirement to run the report for All Values when user doesn't enter any value in the parameter text box and if user enters any value(s) then the report will run for those values . The way, I tried to handle that in the query using couple of ways was :
    IMP : My Database is SQL Server
    where
    (table.asset = isnull((:asset), table.asset) or table.asset in (:asset))
    Now this works fine when I give a single asset number but when I give multiple values separated by comma like 123, 345 in the text box, then the statement fails saying 'encountered ,'
    I also tried simply
    table.asset in isnull((:asset),table.asset) -- but this doesn't work as it doesn't allow me to use in operater while using isnull and if i will use = operater then it won't work in case of multiple values
    Any suggestions on how can I handle this? Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ronny

    thanks for replying, but i tried this option too, it did not work for me, neither isnull nor coalesce. I mean, the solution work for single value but when i pass multiple values then separated by a comma then it doesn't work and shows me an error like "Incorrect Syntax ','". I am using SQL server as DB and bip is 10.1.3.4.1
    also please share the SR number, so i can also check the same.
    can there be any other work around to this?
    thanks,

  • Schedule a Webi XIR2 report to run for all values of the prompt ...

    Hi there,
    Any ideea about if it's possible to schedule a Web Intelligence XIR2 report to automatically run for all  150 different prompt values in the LOV (and have 150 different instances)?
    BOXIR2, Java deployment.
    Many thanks.

    You'd be scheduling the document 150 different times, each for one value of the LOV.
    You'd use the ReportEngine (REBean) SDK to read the LOV values, then use the Enterprise SDK to schedule.
    Here's a bit of code that illustrates how to schedule a Webi doc a single time with specified prompts.  You'd do something similar, but iterate the prompt setting and scheduling:
        IInfoStore iStore  = (IInfoStore) eSession.getService("InfoStore");
        ReportEngine reportEngine =  ((ReportEngines) eSession.getService("ReportEngines"))
                                        .getService(ReportEngines.ReportEngineType.WI_REPORT_ENGINE);
        IInfoObjects objs = iStore.query("Select TOP 1 * From CI_INFOOBJECTS Where "
                                          + " SI_KIND='Webi' And SI_INSTANCE=0 "
                                          + " And SI_NAME = '" + reportName + "'");
        //============================================================================
        // Open Webi document, then get and set Prompts collection
        //============================================================================
        IWebi            webi    = (IWebi) objs.get(0);
        DocumentInstance di      = reportEngine.openDocument(webi.getID());
        Prompts          prompts = di.getPrompts();
        for(int i = 0, m = prompts.getCount() ; i < m ; i++) {
            Prompt prompt = prompts.getItem(i);
            String name   = prompt.getName();
            if("Enter value(s) for State:".equals(name)) {
                Lov lov = prompt.getLOV();
                lov.refresh();
                Values values = lov.getAllValues();
                prompt.enterValues(new ValueFromLov[] { values.getValueFromLov(0),
                                                        values.getValueFromLov(1)});
            } else if ("Enter Shop Id:".equals(name)) {
                prompt.enterValues(new String[] { "261" });
        //===========================================================================
        // Copy prompts over to InfoObject
        //===========================================================================
        PromptsUtil.populateWebiPrompts(prompts, webi);
        //===========================================================================
        // Schedule Webi report to run once now
        //===========================================================================
        webi.getWebiFormatOptions().setFormat(IWebiFormatOptions.CeWebiFormat.Webi);
        ISchedulingInfo schedInfo = webi.getSchedulingInfo();
        schedInfo.setRightNow(true);
        schedInfo.setType(CeScheduleType.ONCE);
        iStore.schedule(objs);

  • How to run a for loop for an array value

    Hello
    I got an array of value(for ex 1,4,6,10),depending on the array value i need to run the porgram in the case structure(as the examaple values given earlier case1,4,6,10)the program needs to run once for all the values in the array(i mean the program needs to run 1st for case1,then case4 and so on)
    Any suggestions pls.

    Can you describe exactly what you want to do?  In most cases, you do not need a loop to deal with arrays.  Many functions are polymorphic and will deal with arrays directly.

  • How to set a default integer value in a form

    I have a form defined as follows:
    =================================================
    public static class ProjectForm extends FormData
    private int idx;
    private String name;
    private String projectNumber;
    private String description;
    public void setIdx(int index)
    this.idx = idx;
    public int getIdx(){
    return this.idx;
    public void setName(String name)
    this.name = name;
    public String getName()
    return this.name;
    public void setDescription(String description)
    this.description = description;
    public String getDescription()
    return this.description;
    public void setProjectNumber(String projectNumber)
    this.projectNumber = projectNumber;
    public String getProjectNumber()
    return this.projectNumber;
    ======================================================
    When I add a new entry into the database, I have no issues. However, when I want to modify an entry I run into some issues with the idx entry. For some reason, I cannot set a default value into the netui:label tag. My jsp code is as follows:
    ===================================================
    <tr valign="top">
    <td>
    Index:
    </td>
    <td>
    <netui:label value="{actionForm.idx}"
    defaultValue="{pageFlow.project.idx}"/>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr valign="top">
    <td>
    Name:
    </td>
    <td>
    <netui:textBox dataSource="{actionForm.name}"
    defaultValue="{pageFlow.project.name}"/>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr valign="top">
    <td>
    ProjectNumber:
    </td>
    <td>
    <netui:textBox dataSource="{actionForm.projectNumber}"
    defaultValue="{pageFlow.project.projNum}"/>
    </td>
    <tr valign="top">
    <td>
    Description:
    </td>
    <td>
    <netui:textBox dataSource="{actionForm.description}"
    defaultValue="{pageFlow.project.description}"/>
    </td>
    </tr>
    ======================================================
    The the project class is passes into the page and has the appropriate values. The name, project number and description fields work as I would expect. However, the idx value is alway '0'. If I print out pageFlow.project.idx it has the correct value.
    How do I fix this? My feeling is that it is related to the form field being an int and not a string. The default parameter indicates that is only works with null values, and ints default to zero. Do I need to use an Integer value instead in the form, or just stay away from non-string form fields.
    Thank for the help!!

  • LabVIEW DSC Logging too Many Data Points for Integer Tags

    Hi,
    I am having a strange problem with LabVIEW 2013 SP1 DSC data logging, running on XP SP3.
    All the integer Data Type Tags in my Tag Database that are set to data log, are logging way too much data. When I look at the amount of logged data points for these int16 in Historical view I see its logging a point nearly every second. See screen shots below or attached jpeg's of screen shots of trace view and Trace Props of one of the integer Tags. I would prefer the integer tags to only log on change like the boolean tags.
    These tags are being acquired from a Horner OCS over Modbus Serial RTU. The Modbus comms is set-up to poll once a second.
    The problematic Tag Data Type in DSC logging are Int16
    The Modbus register data items denotations I am using for Int16 is S4#####
    Example  'OCS_Modbus_Master\S403709'
    The same register represented in OCS Register is shown as '%R0709'
    The trace properties for some of these int16 tags is showing database page numbers in the thousands, which compared to the largest floating point tag is currently showing 172 pages after several months of logging.
    I would have expected int16 tags to only log a value when the value changes and since the 'update deadband' tag setting is disabled for integer tag properties there is no way to config the tag to only log on changes. What is the default logging config for integers. Log everything or log on any change?
    I would prefer for these integer tags to only log on change, since they change infrequently, log on change would be much more data efficient.
    I tried changing the tag data type to floating point and gave it an update deadband value to try and see if that would reduce the amount of logged data, it didn't seem to make any difference.
    Not sure if the issue lies in the
    > Modbus Comms
    > The DSC data event tracking module
    > The DSC Data Logging module
    > Some kind of  Horner OSC data type mismatch which results in DSC polling seeing the acquired value as having changed on every poll.
    Any suggestions greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Paul

    This definitely sounds like a citadel/logos issue. There are two possibilities:
    1) corrupt database
    2) corrupt logos
    To see if it is a corrupt database, simply go to your database folder and move all the files out of that folder to a different folder. Then restart the application. Your application will create a clean database. This may solve the problem. If so, then you know it is a corrupt database.
    To upgrade/reinstall logos, go to the Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. If you see logos there, uninstall it. After uninstalling it, install the most recent logos version (found at ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/lookout/logos).
    Please let me know if the problem persists. As you know, you may also always call in to the Tech Support Line.
    Thanks.

  • ReportQuery on Integer Values

    Toplink seems to be inconsistent with SQL aggregate functions when running a report query on an integer field.
    My code is similar to this:
    // Toplink version 9.0.4.2
    ReportQuery report = new ReportQuery(Person.class);
    ExpressionBuilder builder =
    report.getExpressionBuilder();
    report.addAverage("id-ave",builder.get("id"));
    report.addMinimum("id-min",builder.get("id"));
    report.addMaximum("id-max",builder.get("id"));
    report.addStandardDeviation("id-std",builder.get("id"));
    report.addSum("id-sum",builder.get("id"));
    report.addVariance("id-var",builder.get("id"));
    results = session.executeQuery(toplinkQuery);
    After running a report, Toplink returns all of the requested values as java.lang.Integer types.
    This is not a problem for sum, min, and max, because these values should always be integers. But for average, variance, and standard deviation, floating point values are a likely result. The Toplink returned integer values are rounded down to the nearest whole number.
    Running the equivalent SQL on Oracle 9i returns floating point results. The SQL is something like
    SELECT AVG(ID), MIN(ID), MAX(ID), STDDEV(ID), SUM(ID), VARIANCE(ID) FROM PERSON
    Is this the defined behavoir of Toplink, or is it a bug? I haven't tried the SQL on different database vendors. Maybe the SQL executes differently for other vendors and Toplink chose integer values so that results would be consistent. But I have not seen any documentation indicating so.
    -J

    Yes this is an issue with ReportQuery, currently it tries to convert the values to their attribute type, but should not be doing so for these functions.
    I have logged this problem internally, but if you need a solution to the problem, please contact Oracle support.
    Workarounds would be:
    - In you DatabaseLogin turn off data-optimization, i.e. login.dontUseDataOptimization();
    - Use custom SQL with the report query, or a DataReadQuery.

  • Adding a listener to an integer value?

    Hello All
    Is there a way of adding a listener to an integer value that produce an event (run a method with the object) when an integer value is changed? (Through a object.setValue(int) for example)
    Thanks for any help,
    Harold Clements

    Can any of the kilo-posters (that's with two o's) say if it's considered
    bad form to reuse a class that already exists - albeit for a slighty
    different purpose? What I'm thinking is that the SpinnerNumberModel
    is rather close to what's being looked for - the differences being that
    it'll handle any Numbers and has a "next" functionality that we ignore.
    Something like:import java.awt.BorderLayout;
    import java.awt.event.ActionEvent;
    import java.awt.event.ActionListener;
    import java.util.Random;
    import javax.swing.JButton;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    import javax.swing.JLabel;
    import javax.swing.SpinnerNumberModel;
    import javax.swing.event.ChangeEvent;
    import javax.swing.event.ChangeListener;
    public class NumberEg extends JFrame {
         private SpinnerNumberModel intModel;
         private Random rand = new Random();

  • Training and event management - Internal Activity Allocation for Attendees(PV18)

    Dear all,
    I run the PV18 transaction (Internal Activity Allocation for Attendees). Lets imagine that I successfully allocated 1000 EUR in the CO module. Then I realize that it was a mistake, and I want  to correct this by sending -1000 EUR to CO.
    My question is: how can I do that? Is PV18 capable of doing this? Or this has to be corrected manually in CO module?
    Thanks
    Nándor

    >>I tried to create it and the system generated a message about using the allowed name space.
    if it is a warning message, I think, you can go ahead & create the HRTEM entry in TTYP table.. you can check if this will let you get past the Activity Allocation.

    @I run a Windows 8.1 -  Photoshop CS5 under Parallels on an iMac one year old and both having the latest OS. I use a NIK plugin "VIVEZA" which run fine for years without a problem. Latelt and without a reason, the NIK plugin has gone corrupt, (can not use it more the 2 corrections after a get a black background message that there is not enough memory) and the system stops running and a must restart is required. How do I fix this terrible problem?
    If it requires a Photoshop CS5 re-install, (I belief that it may fix the problem) and re-install the two third party plugins (NIK Viveza) and (Onone Perfect Resize) how and where do I get to the proper Adobe upload page to do that.
    I have tried to fix this problem by changing the memory allocations, I have spend many hours on it and are very disgusted with it but it needs to be fixed. The current memory settings are;
    Ram available = 1588 MB
    Range = 873 -1143 MB
    Recommended Photoshop usage range =  857  however I have tried every setting to max and in between. Nothing works. Current setting = 1588 (max)
    The Photoshop I use is registered, I have product # and order # .

    Contact NIK for updated/upgraded versions of their plug-ins.  They have been having a lot of issues with their plug-ins.

  • How to change the view criteria at run time for af:query

    Hi,
    I've a usecase where I need to change the view criteria of the af:query at run time.
    Use case:
    =======
    1) Consider a check box (Show Emps Under Dept 10) in the query panel when user selects and clicks 'Search' button should show the employees under dept 10. If user searches without selecting the check box, the results should show all the employees in all the departments.
    2) I need to have a check box always in the query panel. Its mandatory.
    The way I implemented:
    ==============
    1) Created a transient variable 'Show Emps Under Dept 10' in the EmployeeVO and also created a bind variable bind_DeptNo.
    2) Create a view criteria 'AllEmployees' which has only the transient attribute as the view criteria item and whose value set to 'false' by default.
    3) Created another view criteria 'EmpUnderDept' which has 'DepartmentId' as the view criteria item and whose value set to the bind variable 'bind_DeptNo'.
    4) Dropped the view criteria 'EmpUnderDept' as the 'af:query' panel in the jspx page.
    5) Overridden the queryListener as '#{EmpBean.empSearch}'
    6) Has the below code in the empSearch method as below. When user selects the check box, applying the other criteria 'EmpUnderDept' and setting the bind variable to '10'.
    public void empSearch(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // Add event code here...
    QueryDescriptor queryDesc = (QueryDescriptor) queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    ConjunctionCriterion conCrit = queryDesc.getConjunctionCriterion();
    List<Criterion> criterionList = conCrit.getCriterionList();
    List criterionValues = new ArrayList();
    Object criteriaValue = null;
    int criteriaNo = 0;
    DCBindingContainer bc = (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    for (Criterion criterion : criterionList) {
    AttributeDescriptor attrDescriptor = ((AttributeCriterion)criterion).getAttribute();
    System.out.println("============== attrDescriptor.getName() =================== " + attrDescriptor.getName());
    criteriaValue = ((AttributeCriterion)criterion).getValues().get(0);
    if(criteriaNo==0) {
    Boolean val = (Boolean) ((AttributeCriterion)criterion).getValues().get(0);
    if (val.equals(true)) {
    OperationBinding method = (OperationBinding) ADFUtil.findOperation("ExecuteWithParams");
    if(method!=null) {
    Map params = method.getParamsMap();
    //params.put(key, value)
    method.getParamsMap().put("bind_DeptId", 10L);
    method.execute();
    ADFUtil.invokeMethodExpression( "#{bindings.EmpUnderDeptCriteiaQuery.processQuery}", queryEvent);
    } else {
    //ADFUtil.invokeEL("#{bindings.ExecuteWithParams.execute}");
    ADFUtil.invokeMethodExpression( "#{bindings.AllEmployeesCriteriaQuery.processQuery}", queryEvent);
    But this approach is not working and its always showing all the employees in all the departments.
    Please let me know if there is a way to change the view criteria at run time depending on the values set at run time for one of the view criteria items.
    JDev version am using is '11.1.1.5'
    Thanks,
    Lakshman

    Hi Shay,
    It worked for me without overriding the executeQuery() method in the ViewImpl.java.
    Instead of creating 2 view criteria, I created only one which has both transient variable and the DepartmentId = <bind_DeptId>. With the above code, it worked properly. Now I am using only one view criteria.
    Thank you.

  • Passing multiple integer values as parameter in SSRS

    Hello,
    I am trying to pass a comma separated multiple integer value parameter in SSRS report and it errors out complaining that it is not able to convert the nvarchar value to datatype int. But it works fine when I pass a single value. Here is the code I am using
    for the report and I am stuck at passing multiple values.
    SELECT
    id,count(*) as cnt
    from table
    and ID in (@id) group by id
    eg: if I pass 10,20,30 then I would get error however if I pass 10 then it works fine
    Is there a different method to pass multiple integer values?
    Thanks for your help.

    A comma is, of course, a textual character and not an integer, thus the error you are getting. Multi-value parameters can be used for this.
    Select "Allow multiple values"and set data type to Integer. Multi-value parameters deliver the values as an array. The query interface is smart enough to convert them to the proper syntax (comma-delimited) automatically so a statement like:
    WHERE Field IN (@id)
    where the parameter has an array of values {1, 2, and 3} is interpreted as:
    WHERE Field IN (1,2,3)
    You do not need to manually convert it in a transact SQL query. That is not the case for displaying the value array in your report. If you wish to display the array (described above) in your report as "1, 2, 3", you will need to use a join expression:
    =Join(@id, ", ")
    As DJ described, the other part to a multivalue parameter is the Available values. These can be set explicitly but given your example, I think it would be best to create a new dataset that retrieves a distinct list of the IDs that can be retrieved, perhaps
    something like:
    SELECT DISTINCT GroupName, GroupID
    FROM table
    WHERE [criteria]
    Set the available values to use this query with GroupName (or whatever user-friendly field you choose for your dataset) as the label and the id as the value. The label field should be something the the target report user can easily identify the correct group
    using.
    If you don't want to or can't use a multivalue parameter for some reason then you will need to manipulate your parameter value prior to consuming it in your query. When you add the parameter to the TSql query and save the dataset, SSRS adds it to the Parameters
    property of the dataset. Open the dataset properties and select the parameters tab. You should see your parameter in the list. click the expression builder (fx) button next to the value and enter this expression:
    =Split(@id,",")
    Note that the second element of the expression is the delimiter. If your text input has comma-space as a delimiter (1, 2, 3 vs 1,2,3) then that element must include ", ". My example just has comma so if you use that with a string "1, 2, 3"then
    the resulting array will still have 3 elements but the 2nd and 3rd elements of the array will have a preceding space which will cause your dataset to error with the same error. As long as there are no non-numeric characters in any of the elements, the split6
    will create the text array, SSRS will dynamically generate the correct "IN"syntax (comma separated) and SQL will convert the elements from VARCHAR to INT on the fly.
