Run multiples script problem

Question

if i run mutiples script , it can't not commit , such as
insert into a
(a,b)
values
(1,2);
update b
set col = 1
where type = a;
but i run one by one no problem
what is the problem

can you cut and paste the screen output which you are running.
paste the script or code in between two tags.
