Run VL06 in Background and getting the report in AL11

Hello ,
My requirement is as follows.
I need to develop a program which should VL06 tcode for Listing the Outbound deliveries in BACKGROUND with a specific variant and Layout and then the report data should be dumped to the given AL11 file path .No need to display the report.
I tried with Submit statement but here I can use the variant but not Layout option as Layout field is not the part of selection screen of VL06 tcode for lsitingthe outbound deliveries.
Can anybody please advice about how to proceed with this.

I tried with that ..i could see the list ...but i wanted to capture the same with predefined layout inthe result ofthe report .
There is no layout selction option in the selectionscreen of the report.

Running report and get the report result with coding

Hi all,
In our R/3 system, there is a custom sales report.
My question is: is there possibility to get data by running this report and grab it the result with code and store it in internal table?

My requirement is: I want to get the result from this report
(rather than try to get the data from SAP original table, because this report is very complicated with a lot of selection data) and use it this result into my new program.
The mechanism that I want is pull the result from the current report, not to add some code in current report to push into new program, to avoid changed the report.
Btw, the output of this report not only the excel file, we can also run this report on foreground mode and see the result.
The report is not ALV report.

Creating a dynamic query by choosing the field and getting the report

Hi,
Is there a way to create a report by allowing the user to choose a field from the table and design a query based on that field.
Ex In a table students with fields
(StudentNo, StudentName,Age,Qualification,Hobbies, PlaceofBirth)
Is it possible to generate a query
select * from students where Hobbies=programming;
where the user can be given the option of selecting the field and the value (Hobbies, programming), the query is generated for that, then the report is designed for that query. How could the query be generated?

Here's an example.
You can create a JComboBox and have the different categories of hobbies in there and then use ActionListener on the JcomboBox.
The code will be something like this

Run the Report as a Background job and Get the Output in Excel in Local PC

Hello Gurus,
I have one following requirement.
One should be able to run the report as a background job and it should be possible to get the report in Excel format, also when running the report in background. The excel report should have the same information and look as the current SAPreport.
Please provide some solution.

When scheduling a job in the background the appropriate statement to read in your file is OPEN DATASET, and the file must be on the file system that the SAP server can see.
At anytime, a user can switch of the Personal Computers even though the job is still running in the background. Therefore GUI_* and WS_* function modules are not designed to work in that way, as they need to access your personal computer file.

What is the difference when we use upload, ws_upload, gui_upload function modules?
UPLOAD, WS_UPLOAD, GUI_UPLOAD, are used in BDC concepts. ie., Batch Data Communication.
Batch Data Conversion is a concept where user can transfer the Data from non SAP to SAP R/3. So , in these various Function Modules are used.
UPLOAD--- upload a file to the presentation server (PC)
WS_UPLOAD----    Load Files from the Presentation Server to Internal ABAP Tables.
WS means Work Station.

Repair your Apple software update.
Go to START > ALL PROGRAMS > Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU, go to Control Panel:

You can try it in both ways.
1.   By using the parameter ID VF. (GET PARAMETE ID)
2.   Select the invoice numbers from the table VBRK for the current date (SY-DATUM) and
       sort it by time and get the latest invoice.

Well Abhijit,
The eul workbooks have been created by oracle specifically to analyze your eul and make your work easier!. So, I prefer this way to view the information about my eul in a report format in the desktop. Try it! you may like it.
If you want you can follow these steps:
Run the script called eul5.sql located in <discoverer_installation_path>\discoverer\util in the user who own the eul in the database.
Then import the eul5.eex file located at <discoverer_installation_path>\discoverer\ in the discoverer administrator.
Then login into desktop and open the reports in the database, you can see a report called[b] EUL Workbook Management. Open that and goto the sheet named Workbook Dependency - Folders & Items Lookup. I think it the last but one worksheet in that workbook.

Could you elaborate more on what this code does in general?
Does it generate a table with the data between specified dates? If so, where is the table shown?
Where does one enter in the specified start and end dates on the Web Application? Do I have to create start and end date blanks and link them to the code for it to work?

How can I get the report status?

I am using web service to connect to BI Publisher and run the report by java code. And I have questions still unclear, anyone who knows about it please help me.
1. Is there any method to get the report status, such as whether the report runs successfully or not.
2. If I have a huge table that binds with the template (maybe RTF template), how about the performance of the BI publisher?
3. I use the sample codes in the web service tutorial to run the report, but the out pdf report doesn't change when i add or remove the table data, how can I resolve it?

Use the web services and use this function
getScheduledReportStatus
you will get the status of the report ran.
Possible values are: "Completed", "Error" "Running", "Scheduled","Suspended", "Unknown"
It is in the table XMLP_SCHED_OUTPUT status column :)
