Runcluvfy nodecon fails eventhough ssh and scp doesnt ask for password

Hi all,
this is my first attempt to oracle RAC . I configured the ssh gen as shown in documentation without using passphrase
I tested ssh and scp and it do not ask me password .
xt33db006[oracle:grid10p]/opt/home/oracle$ ssh xt33db007 date

but when I try to do
runcluvfy.sh comp nodecon -n xt33db006,xt33db007 -verbose

Verification cannot proceed.
do I need to put these 2 hostname in hosts.equiv file ? not sure what I am missing here
I will appreciate any pointer .

Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
2. Connect USB cable to computer, leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

Need help my ipod touch will not let me on the net iam with sky and it was working fine then a padlock appeared next to it and it keeps asking for password

I have set up my ipod touch too use the internet which is sky its been working fine but now when i try it say unable to join network and there is a padlock beside the sky wi fi thing when i tap that it asks for password and i cant remember the password is there anything else i can try

You can guess the passwoard. That is all you can do.
You can enter the router etup and change the password. You may have to rese the whole router. Look at/download the manual for the router to find out how to do that.

(passwordless ssh) I keep getting asked for password

I've been trying to set up passwordless ssh to my webhost, but it keeps asking for my user password (please note "password" is to be distinguished from "passphrase").
I've set up keychain and x11-askpass, and it asks me for my passphrase when I log in after a fresh boot, so no problems there.

It looks like it's sending the key just fine, but the server is asking for the next authentication method. It could be possible that the server doesn't support key-based connections, or that your public key on the server is invalid.

Shutting down and restarting always ask for password in xfce4.4

I'm having this problem, I have the sudoer file setup correctly as per the wiki instructions but this does not fix things. If I do 'visudo' in terminal and then try and restart or shutdown my computer it doesn't ask me for my password. But if I just restart and don't use visudo, xfce will ask for my password when trying to shutdown or restart. How can I fix this, it is very annoying? Thanks for any help.

the preferred way to enable shutdown in xfce4.4 is to use hal. the shutdown helper will try hal first and then fall back to sudo, if hal doesn't work.
to enable shutdown via hal, make sure the hal daemon is running and add your user to the 'power' group.

Updates not installing and iPhone not asking for password

Hi - over the past day or so on my iPhone 4 on the apple store app I have 12 updates. When I click 'download all apps' the iphone doesn't ask for my password as it usually did, but just goes away as if it is installing the updates.....but doesn't - I still have 12 updates to download !!!
I then logged on to my laptop and itunes, but cannot find where on the APP tab there is any mention of updates. Please tell me what I should do ?
I have rebooted the phone a couple of times, but no difference.

further to my last - on looking at the apps in question - it has 'installing' sort of greyed out in the background.....but they have been 'installing' for the past 24 hours or more ! when usually it only takes a few mins, and there is no active working ring on the top bar to signify that things are being downloaded. All other things appear to be working i.e. if I download an actual app etc.

When I click onmy desktop icon to open skype, it signs me in without asking for my password - how can I get it to ask for the password?

with the other account loaded, click menu Skype >> Sign Out (or File >> Sign Out in mac). The login window will appear then just uncheck Sign Me in When Skype Starts. Login again for the changes to take effect.

My mail opens up and does not ask for password

My mail will not aske fpr password it just opens on it own when safari opens help npt asking for password

The iCloud backup saves photos and videos in the camera roll. If the backup you restored from did not restore photos and videos to the phone then the backup did not contain them. Check to see if you have more than one backup available. IF so you might restore from that. remember you cannot select what data from a backup you want to restore - it is all or nothing. So if you restore from an older backup then that is what you will end up with.

Well, you or someone had to elect to encrypt your backup. This can also be enforced by an Exchange account if you have such on your phone. Regardless:
If on a Mac, and you elected to save such to your Keychain, you can recover it from your Keychain. Otherwise, you can't.
While you can continue to sync/backup, if you can't remember it & want to remove it, you'll have to delete your existing backups & restore the phone as a new device. Your data will be unrecoverable.
