Running a page without showing

All,
is it possible to run a page in the background without showing that page in apex 4.2? i want to run a page process but not to show that page?

Shared Components=>Security=>Authentication Schemes=>Application Express - Current
I did the folowwing steps :
Shared Components=>Security=>Session State Protection=> Set Protection button
in the folowwing screen press Enable followed by next
in the next screen Press the Enable Session State Protections
in the page Shared Components>Session State Protection>Session State Protection by Page
both page 0 and 1 are unrestricted
stil I can't run my app

page 0 and 1 have no items
page 1 has one region of type list
and uses the list found on page 0 but uses a list template override od Pull Down Menu with

I am at a loss the nly solutions is to put session state protection off all together

Run Detail Page without Parent page

I need to extend a OA page, that is a detail page. If and how can I bring the detail page up in JDeveloper without having to bring in the parent page into JDeveloper project?
In the Project Setting | Run Connection there is "Optional URL parameter" is that where I add it? Please advice. Thanks.

As Shiv said in his update earlier, please get all the relevant Pages (and their VOs, AMs, COs etc) in your project and then you can easily work on your details Page without worry.
Now if you donot want to do so.
1. Go to the Controller of your details page and see which parameters are expected in the process Request.
2. Then check whether any method gets called from the PR and see whether the method expects some value from some previous page.
3. Thereafter the next step is to check whether there is any VO referred in your page which has been initialized in any of the earlier pages. May be some logic which occurred on any previous page has a role to play.

thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option. But why do people always leave a message saying" i'll probably just by an ipod" and it's usually followed by, "even though i don't like apple or ipod" . I mean fine, if u feel like giving up on the zen micro thats fine, i personally don't care if you're going to buy an ipod. for god sakes ipod isn't even the next alternati've mp3 players, theres plenty. Are u just trying to get the creative people saying "oh man we lost another one to ipod" cuz i'm sure they don't lose sleep over u wanting to buy an ipod instead of a zen. *done ranting*

Page designer show small view when using page template and cannot be run

Dear Experts,
I need to make some page templates.
I have build 2 simple page templates, let say template0 & template1 which template1 using template0.
It show no any problem until I close my Jdeveloper & reopen it.
When I reopen template1, it show so small in designer (Jdeveloper window).
Is there any wrong?
I have build another template, just 1 template.
When I used it at the first time, no any strange behavior occur.
After ... (I don't exactly when), it give me the same view in my designer.
Then I force to use my first tempate (template1 which used template0 inside), I cannot run my application at all.
After wait several minutes, I found error log in my log messages.
*#### Server Instance DefaultServer could not be started: Server Instance was terminated.*
Above the message, I found another error messages:

Is there anyone that can help me to find out why this error occured?
Should I raise this problem to metalink or just can post it in this forum?

As I put in my post before, I include template0 in my template1, as seen in template1 (AHM001):

I use AHM000 inside AHM001. I use this approach to build many template based on one basic design.
Actually, I don't think the problem is in page template usage because as I submitted paralel to Metalink, I've already not called template0 in template1 but I copy template0's contents to template1.
Unfortunately, page designer show small view and below error messages still occured.

How Can I print directly the report from the printer without showing it ?

I know how to run the report from Form as it illustrate on this site:

but the question here how could i to generate the report directly to the printer without showing it on the screen???
I search on the net and I find that I should change this line :-
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id,REPORT_DESTYPE, cache);
to this
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id,REPORT_DESTYPE, printer);
but it is not working with me :-(
is there any suggest ?!

JBO Exception while running OAF page from Jdev

Hi All,
I am using jdev 10.1.3 on R12 instance.
I am trying to customize a standard OAF page.
For that I downloaded all the related directories from the server and placed it in the corresponding folders of jdev.
When I rebuild the page it is rebuilding successfully, but when I run the page it is showing some jbo exception.
The exception details are attached in word file.
If anyone faced such issues before please share your thoughts.

Please paste the error stack and while running the page from Jdev make sure that you have updated DBC file and check the runtime connections in project properties. check the database connection as well.

Sometimes when I roll the cursor across a bookmark, my browser jumps to that web page without me clicking on it. Is there any way to turn this function off?

On occasion I will roll my cursor across a bookmark and my browser will take me to that web page without me clicking on it. I've been unable to detect a pattern; it seems to happen randomly. Can someone explain why this is happening? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I can change to prevent this from happening? And if so, can I be given instructions how to do that?

this should not be happening, maybe one of your addons is interfering?! - can you try running firefox in safemode or with all extensions disabled for a while and see if this behaviour is still there...

Display sub header from second group in each page without page break

Hi All,. I need to show the sub header in each page in pdf output using rtf. I have two grouping region and category. I have used start:body and end:body concept to repeat the header in each page. The region is repeating in each page but I also want the category to repeat in each page without having page break. Any suggestions. Thanks, Sushil

You could added the category value to the header row and set the table properties for row to repeat on each page.. I have sent a reply to your email. Take a look to see if the output is per expectations.

Carry over formatting to the next page without adding a text box

I've written 15 books on the old pages and had no trouble carrying the formatting to the next page without adding a page or adding a text box to the added page. I just kept on typing. I've added the new pages and had trouble right from the start so I went back to the old and got a good start, but going through that added procedure on every new page gets old in a hurry.
It shows the number of pages at the bottom, but a new page doesn't come on automatically when I type.

1. Why not continue to use Pages '09 in your Applications/iWork folder?
2. In Pages 5:
Setup (gear icon far right of toolbar) > check Document Body
and the text will flow from page to page.
