Running an application install returns error.
I am running an application install and receiving the following error in a popup window:
Header: Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Message: Could not find the main class. Program will exit!
Any thoughts of what might be causing this. I downloaded JDK 1.3.1_06 and loaded it off my C:\ drive on Windows XP. There are no spaces in my directory path.
You need to ask for support from whoever created the install. This is merely a configuration issue with the install. There is nothing wrong with Java on your machine.

Hi, I'm using MDT 2013 (Version: 6.2.5019.0) and deploying Server 2012 R2 Standard.

I've searched for the error code 16 but can't find any results. What does it mean?
Cheers.I think that I may have found the solution. On different site I've found the robocopy exit codes and 16 is listed there as "Robocopy
did not copy any files. Check the command line parameters and verify that Robocopy has enough rights to write to the destination folder."
I guess that I need to alter the destination folder to something other than the root of C:\

Applications Install dvd error message
I have an iMac running Snow Leopard. I did a clean install.
Afterwards, I tried to install the Applications Install DVD, it opend the DVD, after I select the icon, Ireceive an error message
that the install failed.
Any suggestions.
ThanksI just came across this error while performing a fresh install of snow leopard on a 2010 iMac. For me it was the application DVD, but this error may also show up for xCode from what I understand. After some research, I discovered the error stems from an expired cyrtography certification. Was rather annoyed that my restoration disc shipped with a $1700 computer has an expiration date, but this is not the proper time for that rant.
The "fix" is rather easy. Just go into your system preferences and set the date back to before the cert expires. I used some random date in 2010 to be safe. The installer should work correctly now. After installation, just reset your date to the current date. -

Applications Install DVD Error
I recently got a kernel panic, re-installed Snow Leopard (10.6.4) and as a result had no administrator account. I reset the root or whatever and got through that problem. Now I go to re-install my applications through the DVD and instantaneously after I hit install it doesn't even begin installing and I get the message
"The installation failed. An unknown installation error occurred. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."No 10.6.4 disc will function with a Mac that came with 10.6.2 or earlier. 10.6.3 is the last "retail" release that is not system specific. No security messages arose during very slow install.

The installation CD that came with your 8600 will definitely not work with Windows 8.1 and is not same as the latest online download which you will need to install on Win8.1.
Are you running Win8.1 Pro 32 or 64 bit?
Also make sure you select the right model of your Officejet. There are 3 different models.

500:Error while running the application.
Hi Friends,
I created one DC and a component with 2 views in a window.On click of button in view1 it has to go to view 2 .I created navigation link from view 1 to view 2.
But after deploying and on click of the buttton in view1 it is giving internal error as 500 error Applcation has to be refreshed and the link to the application APP1 is not avaible.
When i run this application locally the error is being shown as:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:com/sap/tc/webdynpro/progmodel/api/IWDEventHandlerId.
Can anyone plz help me out in this regard.

I developed an application on JSP dyn pages(Portal) ie for navigating one page to another page.While iam running an application the following error is occured.
PAR File is Uploaded.
Please make sure that the server 'myportal' is running.HTTP'S
protocol is not supported,please sure that server is not using
HTTP'S.Did you check if Portal is running? If yes,
Do not deploy application directly from NWDS. Just generate the par file by (In Qucik Par Upload)-
chekcing the option Include the source code of the Portal application and,
uncheck Deploy par.
Now go to Portal
System Administrator->Support->Portal Runtime-> Admin Console.
Browse and Upload the par file here.
You can create a iView from par file and check your appliaction

Unable to run my application using java web start
i have created one application and use java web start to download the application. all the files are succesfully downloaded but when i try to run the application an expected error occur. this only happen in my machine but not in other machine i'm currently using

A blind stab in the dark would be that you don't have write permission to the cache directory on the second machine. Also worth checking that the proxy settings on the second machine are the same as the first (if they are on the same network). -

Thanks for for your helpI found a temporary workaround. I have a similar problem on a Windows 8.1 x64 machine, although my log is slightly different. When installing the app, it says:

The workaround for installing is to generate an .EXE package in Flash IDE and execute it as administrator. For automatic updating, I couldn't find a temporary solution. In my case, I think it is some error on AIR Runtime with Win 8.1 x64. Below, the complete install log:

Trying to install iTunes on my Dell laptop with Windows 7 - 64 bit. Get these two error messages when I run the iTunes exe file: Error 2 and Error 2 (Windows error 2). Both say Apple Application Support was not found. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

I can't install the trial version of Adobe Acrobat because the AdobeDownloadAssistant.exe will not run. I get this error:
"This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance."

I Have erased the hard drive of my MBP in order to perform a clean reinstall of OS X Mavericks, according to these instructions.
When I tried to reinstall, my internet connection stopped (was broadcasting via another MBP and the cable from that one got disconnected), so I restarted the erased MBP to try again. Holding command+R, it booted in internet recovery (as the recovery partition was erased along with the rest of the hard drive), but could not connect over the broadcasted WiFi, so I created a bootable USB flash drive according to these instructions on the other MBP.
This installation went smooth without any hiccups, but due to an oversight I had to do it again the next day.
I took the same steps, with the same bootable drive (I did not create a new one the first time) but this time I couldn’t get through the prepare to install phase. At the end, where the “about a second remaining” message stays for about 20 minutes, I get the “An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running the application again” message. When I quit the installer (only option at that stage) and return to Disk Utility, the internal drive on which I tried to do the installation is not visible anymore.
I tried this (after a reboot every time) with a new bootable usb drive with the same download of the OS X Mavericks installer and with a new one, each ending with the same error. The installer was downloaded on an MBP on which Mavericks is also installed, with the same Apple ID. The App Store did not allow me to change Apple ID for the Mavericks download. Can this pose a problem? It did work the first time, though.
Note that this error occurs at a different stage than the one with the same message due to the wrong date (this discussion amongst others). I also checked the date in terminal and this appears to be correct, when I consider the timezone.
Here are a few lines from the installer log (omitted similar lines and lines that could contain personal information). The most important line is the last one, indicating the error.

That last line indicates the error that occurred. (The internal drive on which I try to install Mavericks is called “schijf”, it also already has been called Macintosh HD, with no effect. This time I tried another name during the reformat to see if and when the installer renames the disk. Does it do this, or should I call the disk “Macintosh HD” myself?)
By now I also got past the internet recovery issues, being able to get the progress bar under the spinning globe and the option to install Lion (not Mavericks, but I suppose that’s because the MBP shipped with Lion). When I choose this option, the installer first spends a few hours downloading additional components. This eventually took less time than first indicated, but still about 4-5 hours. After this, the installation of about 24 minutes starts, but this takes much longer than the indicated 24 minutes, each minute taking about 15 minutes. When it was less than a minute, the internet connection got disconnected (but I don’t suppose it still needed an internet connection at this stage, having downloaded all additional components) and now the “Less than a minute” message has been there the whole night (about 9,5 hours), the last 9 hours with a spinning beachball on the screen after I accidentally clicked somewhere on the screen (nowhere in particular, he shouldn’t do something because of the click. After unplugging the power adapter, the battery icon on the screen wasn’t updated, and the WiFi icon simply disappeared, instead of showing no bars like it should when there’s no connection).
Does Anyone know how I can fix the error, because I would prefer installing with a bootable drive. Is it worth it to continue waiting on the current, apparently stuck Lion installer to finish or should I force a reboot?
Can I try using the Recovery Disk assistant (OS X Recovery Disk Assistant v1.0) to create a recovery disk with the other MBP? I think not, as this might cause trouble with 2 different MBP's using the same license.

I'm having the same issue and I wanted to provide some info specific to my mac, and some info in general to help with diganosis.
First, my specs
Secondly, I am running an aftermarket 500 GB drive.
Third, not sure if this is realated, but this screen suggests the proress will take 3 minutes, then it abruptly umps to the restart phase after about 1.5 - 2.5 minutes.
And finally, here is the seeminly unavoidable error message.
Also, other things I've tried now are
installing it from the "show package contents area",
mounting said DMG and trying to install from there.
installing a package file called "upgradeos.pkg"
no luck. -

I have got Sun Java System Application Server 9.1 installed with NetBeans 6.1 on winXP.
