Running php-skript on labview 6i HTTP server

hy out there, i allready have a application running with php and mySQL on a Appache Server. now y wanna put the system on Labview 6i Internet Toolkit to contact a SPS over a CAN Interface. Instead of buying
the SQL toolkit i would like to us php-skript on the Labview HTTP Server. After reading CAN commands out of the SQL database, i would like to send the commands over NI CAN card to my applications.
for any hints i would thank you guys.
andrew

I have written both kinds of apps--PHP with MySQL for Apache, as well as LV VIs for the LV web server. I've never tried to combine PHP and the LV web server, though. I think this would be difficult. I think it would be easiest to use the LabVIEW Database Toolset instead of using PHP.
However, if you want to try it, you can probably download the PHP source code and build it into a DLL that you call from LabVIEW VIs. This is probably much harder than it sounds. You'll also have to have the MySQL support built in, so you'll need the MySQL client source, too.
A different approach would be to bypass PHP entirely. Have your LV VIs open up a TCP/IP connection to MySQL and send your SQL commands directly to the MySQL database. This is essentially what the D
atabase Toolset is doing for you (via ODBC, I think). It will not be easy--the Toolset does a lot of work for you--but I'm pretty sure it's possible.

  • Running PHP within HTML in Mountain Lion Server

    I just upgraded from Lion Server to Mountain Lion Server yesterday. Under Lion I had pages that had simple PHP instructions, primarily includes, that I could run without saving the pages with the PHP extension. My recollection is that I modified either the .htaccess file or the httpd.conf file to allow Apache to run PHP code embedded in HTML pages. I can't find an .htaccess file in ML Server, and modifying the code in httpd.conf doesn't seem to work.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Thomas Hart

    The configuration files live in/Library/Server/Config/Apache2, and the primary configuration file ishttpd_server_app.conf not httpd.conf.
    Thanks for the info.
    I think that path should be /Library/Server/Web/Config/Apache2

  • APEX 3.1.2 / HTTP-Server 10g PDF-Printing included

    Hello together
    I have APEX running on the Oracle HTTP-Server 10.1.3. Apex is working. Now i want to integrate PDF-printing. I found a lot of HowTos to realize that with a separate OC4J-Installation in an new $ORACLE_HOME.
    Has anybody an Installation running with OC4J intergrated into the HTTP-Server (startable,stopable wirh opmnctl) ? Or an idea how to get that running ? Or a better Idea to print PDFs from APEX ?
    Regards from Switzerland

    Hello,
    Carl Backstrom blogged about using Cocoon and Tomcat to integrate PDF-printing: http://carlback.blogspot.com/2007/03/apex-cocoon-pdf-and-more.html
    Cocoon should be installable on an OC4J instance.
    Another alternative is using PL/PDF: http://www.plpdf.com/
    Hope this helps,
    Dirk

  • APEX Oracle 11g HTTP Server - Cannot get SSL working

    I have installed APEX on Oracle 11g with the Oracle HTTP Server on MS Windows server.
    Data base up and running, APEX up an running.
    All works as expected on port 7777
    When I try 4443 I get error message re self signed certificate by Oracle, but if I click through error message I get an https connection.
    I want to replace default cert with a locally signed cert, and get SSL working on 4443, then switch to port 443.
    I have used the Oracle Wallet manager, generated a CSR, had this signed by my corproate CA, and installed the corporate CA cert and the newly signed server cert into the wallet (with Auto Login Set) and saved it in:
    D:\orahttp\Oracle_WT1\instances\apex\config\OHS\ohs1\keystores\infosec2wallet
    This creates two files: ewallet.p12 and cwallet.sso
    I then manually add the group/users "SYSTEM" and "Administrators" to these two files to match the security tab on the default wallet.
    I T then go to the ssl.conf file located at:
    D:\orahttp\Oracle_WT\instances\apex\config\OHS\ohs1\ssl.conf
    and changed the entry:
    #SSLWallet "${ORACLE_INSTANCE}/config/${COMPONENT_TYPE}/${COMPONENT_NAME}/keystores/default"
    SSLWallet "${ORACLE_INSTANCE}/config/${COMPONENT_TYPE}/${COMPONENT_NAME}/keystores/infosec2wallet"
    I then stop and start the Oracle HTTP Server - ohs1 from the start menu.
    Then I try to connect from my desk top machine using the following URL:
    https://us-pghinfosec2.ariba.com:4443/pls/apex/f?p=101:1:
    I get the clasic MS IE Message:

    I am at a loss as to what to do. It acts like Oracle HTTP can not open my wallet.
    I suspect it needs the password to the wallet but I cannot find any place to specify the password, and Auto Login should have addressed that issue.
    Any insights welcome.

    I got your point but in our case HTTP Server and Oracle Database (APEX) running on different machines.Did I missed something?
    You should have mentioned this additional information in the original question itself.
    </li>
    <li>Oracle HTTP Server running on a Windows 2003 server and Oracle Database running on Sun Solaris machine.As long as [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/install.42/e35123/otn_install.htm#BHAFJJDA]dads.conf is configured correctly there should not be a problem with this.
    From Original question:
    We are having Oracle APEX 3.1 version on Oracle 10g Database and Oracle 10g HTTP Server as web server in our organization.How did this setup of APEX worked?(i.e. on different machines)
    If you still have doubt about this you can do the setup and find out before upgrading.

  • Oracle application server 10g http server virtual host

    Hi,
    I have defined a new virtual host, changed its setting and create a folder with html file for redirection.
    Now when i am trying to access that new virtual host it is redirecting me to the old application.
    e.g.
    old.domain.com taking me old application.
    new.domain.com taking me old application.
    in HTML file i wrote url like ... http://myappsserver:port .......
    could you please tell me am i missing some thing..
    thanks

    You can find the port usage by executing opmnctl status -l from the command line. This should give you the port usage for each opmn-governed component. In a standard setup, web cache normally runs on port 7777 while Oracle HTTP Server runs on 7778. Alternatively, you can check the httpd.conf for the parameter Listen. This will give you the Oracle HTTP Server port as well.
    Did you test with the directive NameVirtualHost added?

    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/> for detailed information.
    # In particular, see
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/directives.html>
    # for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/access_log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "/usr/local/apache2" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "/usr/local/apache2/logs/access_log", whereas "/logs/access_log"
    # will be interpreted as '/logs/access_log'.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
    # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to specify a local disk on the

  • Oracle 10g HTTP Server + PHP

    Does anyone know how to enable PHP support on Oracle HTTP Server (from Oracle DB Companion CD)? I tried to compile PHP on it, bet I get the following error:

    Sorry, I was not able to successfully run APXS. Possible reasons:

    3. 'apxs' is not in your path. Try to use --with-apxs=/path/to/apxs

    Oracle HTTP server does not have DSO support, is there some possibility to enable it? Or there exists another way to enable PHP support on Oracle HTTP server.

    Your existing PHP already extracts as binary - that's what is causing
    a problem.
    The two functions I mentioned convert to ASCII using their respective
    encodings. What format you want depends on what you want to do with
    the string.
    Here is some code that may be helpful.
    <?php
    // Fetch a RAW and convert to a hexidecimal representation similar to
    // fetching it as a SQLT_STR
    $c = oci_connect("hr", "hr", "XE");
    // Create test table
    $s = oci_parse($c, "create table rtable(rcol raw(2000))");
    oci_execute($s);
    // Load first 2000 bytes of the test.gif image into the RAW
    $img = file_get_contents( dirname(__FILE__)."/test.gif");
    $img = substr($img, 0, 2000);
    $s = oci_parse ($c, "insert into rtable (rcol) values (:bv)");
    oci_bind_by_name($s, ":bv", $img, -1, SQLT_BIN);
    oci_execute($s);
    // Query the RAW and convert to one form of ASCII representation
    $stid = oci_parse($c, 'select rcol from rtable');
    oci_execute($stid);
    print '<table border="1">';
    while ($row = oci_fetch_array($stid, OCI_ASSOC+OCI_RETURN_NULLS)) {
      echo "<tr><td>";
      echo bin2hex($row['RCOL']);
      echo "</td></tr>\n";
    echo '</table>';
    // Clean up
    $stmt = oci_parse($c, "drop table rtable");
    oci_execute($stmt);
    ?>-- cj

    Could you paste the full command line you used to run the configure script? My initial guess is that you didn't specify the full path to Apache's apxs (usually located somewhere around "$ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/bin/apxs"). Among other things, try making sure you've specified "--with-apxs=$ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/bin/apxs" on the command line.
    If you don't know where apxs might be, you can also usually try finding apxs with "find / -name apxs > find.out". If you have "find" on your flavor of *n?x, this will output all files exactly matching the name "apxs" to a file named "find.out" in your current directory. You can usually view the file by running "cat find.out" on the command line. Look for lines in the file with "Apache" on them and/or your Oracle install directory (or $ORACLE_HOME).

  • Using php with oracle http server

    Hello folks
    This question might have been answered on this forum, but i haven't found it yet.
    Is it possible to integrate php into the apache server that is supplied with the oracle (9.2) database, the so called Oracle HTTP Server?
    What technical issues are to consider and how do you do it on linux in that case? (SLES8)
    Is there any support issues to consider if somebody modifies this oracle supplied http server?
    Looking very much forward to some help...

    Well it was a spelling mistake in the beginning. I get the following output now:

  • Running php scripts on development server

    Hi,
    I have Coldfusion development server and Apache running on my local host. CF is on port 8500 and Apache is running on port 80.
    On my remote host in plesk I can add support for Coldfusion and PHP, is there a way to run PHP files on localhost:8500?
    Thanks

    Sweet. I run this setup on Mac 10.5.7 and it's great (PHP & CFML on port 80, that is).
    The easiest solution is to reinstall CF as a multi-server and run the connectors for Apache. The most recent CF (8.0.1) Mac installer is 'built' for Leopard, so it works well.
    Mark Drew has a good post:
    http://www.markdrew.co.uk/blog/post.cfm/running-coldfusion-8-on-leopard
    Aaron West also has an excellent post on CF 8 & Leopard:
    http://www.trajiklyhip.com/blog/index.cfm/2008/1/14/ColdFusion-8-Apache-22x-and-OS-X-105-L eopard
    If you run into a snag, PM me & I can help more (I've freaking installed this $%&@ thing so many times )!

  • Is my configuration correct? PHP and Oracle HTTP server

    Hi all,
    I have a single server running RHEL5 x86-64 and Oracle 11.1. I also have the Oracle HTTP Server which purportedly has "PHP support".
    I am trying to do a basic test connect to my database, but I'm getting an error.
    My test is the following:
    <html>
    PHP Test with Oracle<head>
    <body>
    <pre>
    <?php
    $conn = oci_connect('scott', 'tiger', 'myserver/MYDBSERVICE');
    if (!$conn) {
    trigger_error("Could not connect to database", E_USER_ERROR);
    ?>
    </pre>
    </body>
    </html>When I open the page, I see the following:
    PHP Test with Oracle
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: oci_connect() in /u01/app/oracle/product/HTTP_Server/ohs/htdocs/phptest/dtest4.php on line 6
    I've also tried phpinfo() and get the following:
    oci8
    OCI8 Support      enabled
    Revision      $Revision: apache_modules/mod_php/4.3.9/ext/oci8/oci8.c#0 $
    Oracle Version      10.1
    Compile-time ORACLE_HOME      /ade/svadugur_mjoyphp4311/oracle
    Libraries Used      no value
    Any idea what may be going on? I've looked through much documentation already before posting to no avail.
    Thank you for any insight.

    The oci_* names were introduced in PHP 5. In PHP 4 the equivalent connection command is ocilogon(). For other mappings see Appendix C of the free book http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/php/underground-php-oracle-manual-098250.html
    I'd recommend you upgrade PHP. See "Installing OCI8 with Oracle Application Server on Linux" on p 76 of that book. Note the warnings.

  • How to install HTTP Server in a Linux Machine for running APEX

    I've Installed Unbreakable Linux 4.7 and I'm using the standard apache which comes (Apache 2), I want to install the HTTP Server in order to run APEX on this machine, and may it look the data from the database which is oracle 10g (The database is on another machine). Could both installations of apache and Oracle http server co-exists and what is the best form to do it??

    Yes, they can. They installed in different directories and you have to use different ports.
    AFAIK for HTTP for APEX is either part of the installation (eg. in the Oracle Express Edition) or part of the Oracle Installation CDs. For more information see the Oracle Installation Documentation.

  • Re Post: Http server cannot start after running the following JSP

    Hi,
    I have 9iAS 1.0.2.2 and it has been working fine.
    My http server was running fine until I ran the following Jsp. Now I cannot start the Http server at all.
    I check the Oracle home and the path and make sure they match (i.e. if my Oracle Home is iSuites, I have the PATH variable: c:\oracle\isuites\bin as the 1st one. And I reboot the system after I changed the Oracle Home, check the PATH variable etc.)
    I also check the oci.dll files, and I have the oci.dll file in the following directories:
    c:\oracle\ora81\BIN 87KB
    c:\oracle\806\BIN 38KB
    c:\oracle\iSuites\BIN 87KB
    I check the Registry (regedit) and found that I have ORACLE_HOME_KEY for ora81 home, iSuites home, but not
    806 home. And there are oracle.key files in c:\oracle\ora81\bin, c:\oracle\806\bin, c:\oracle\isuites\bin .
    The contents of oracle.key in c:\oracle\ora81\bin and c:\oracle\isuites\bin are correct (i.e. "Software\ORACLE\HOME0" "Software\ORACLE\HOME2" respectively.) However, the content in c:\oracle\806\bin is "Software\ORACLE" .
    Will this be a problem because there is no corresponding ORACLE_HOME_KEY for 806 in regedit?
    OR
    the OCI.DLL file is corrupted in one of the above directory.
    Below is the JSP code that I ran. Before that, my HTTP server is started correctly.
    I really appreciate if someone could give me some pointers about this.
    I also suspect that when the HTTP server was brought down for some reasons and it was not a clean shutdown.
    So how can I shutdown the http server cleanly before restarting that?
    Thanks;
    Kelly.

    I had this problem and the pkgchk mentioned above helped to get the admin server going (thanks!) but I could not run the admin console. I saw:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/GNOME/Accessibility/JavaBridge (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)
    It turned out that something (I suspect the patch) had replaced my java1.5.0_06 binary with a java1.4.2_03 binary - but left the java1.5 directory structure alone! i.e. looking in /usr/jdk would have indicated that java1.5 was installed, but when I ran jdk1.5.0_06/bin/java -version , it reported java version "1.4.2_03". I was unimpressed.
    I ended up removing all the SUNWj5* packages and reinstalling them and then I could start the admin console.
    Now to find out what other damage this patch might have caused.....
