Runtime.exe() is not working from within a jar file.

Hi All,
I have a jar file which have classes and a package in it.
One of these classes is calling another class which is present in the package.
The code i am using it is as follows:
Runtime r=Runtime.getRuntime();
Process p=null;
p=r.exec("java deep.slideshow.PlayShow");It is working fine when i am executing it without making jar file.
But when i make a jar file of all these things , this exec() is not working.
I have tried a lot.
If any body has any idea suggest me.

I tried the same you tell me to do by using the cmd;
java -cp my.jar package.class And then tried to make the jar file with the help of eclipse,
after adding my jar file into classpath of my project in eclipse.
Its working fine on my local system.
But when i put this jar file on some other system it does not call my jar file(obviously bcz it will not the find the jar file according to the classpath set on my local system. )
Is there any way that i can keep this jar into my project and then can give the classpath dynamically
so that it can pick the file from my project automatically.?
Later on i will pack this whole thing into a full jar file and it will work on a single click.
Is it possible or not ?

Hi everyone,
Iphone 4, ios 7.0.6 user. From the home screen, I can "swipe up" on my iphone to get to a control screen where I can control the music player, turn on/off the flashlight, etc. I used to be able to swipe up while within an app (for example, while looking at a website on safari) and get to this same screen, however currently it doesn't work when an app is open, only from the home screen.
Any suggestions to get this working from within an app as well?

Saving/Printing work from within a .swf file

Okay so here's the deal. I have to create a flash game in
which users will be creating artwork. When users are done with
their artwork we want them to be able to SAVE their work, EMAIL it
to a friend, and PRINT it out all within the .swf file.
HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU DO THIS?????? I have been searching a
researching and going through many forums and tutorials trying to
see if anyone out there can help but I have come up with nothing.

Acrobat 8.1.4 not working from within Outlook

I am using Acrobat 8.1.4 and Outlook 2007 SP1.
Acrobat working fine from other apps but the "Convert to PDF" button in Outlook isn't working.
Outlook showing "nothing disabled"

I've had extremely patchy success in getting Acrobat and Office to play together, as have plenty of others, take a look at this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/1168097#1168097
When you say nothing disabled are you aware that there are several places that addins are shown? When you go Tools>Trust Center>Addins there is a box down the bottom with several choices, it would pay to check all of these too.

Reading a text-file from within a Jar-file...

I've made a program, that reads from a text-file. And it works great. But when I try to put the program into a jarfile, I get a fileNotFoundException... I have the textfile both inside and outside the jarfile... with the same result.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Depends on the path you enter for the text file. If you simply put "filename.txt" then you should try to have the file in the same directory as the class which accesses the file.

at the work process trace (dev_w*) files to find out the reason the they are dying.

this is a normal situation if the reverse name resolution is not working.
I have found this error when the DNS server has without the reverse zone configured.

I would first of all trash the preference file for InDesign, make sure the application is closed then find the prefs in
/Users/USER NAME/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign and just throw the entire folder away, it will generate a new one after you launch InDesign again.
Now launch InDesign and see if the problems are resolved.
If not I would repair your permissions on your hard drive wih disk utility, and if that fails then di-install InDesign and re-install that single application.
Let me know if any of these suggestions work for you

File->Print not working from SQL Developer 1.2.1 Build MAIN-32.13.
I downloaded sqldeveloper-1.2.1.3213.ZIP and extract to a local directory. From the extracted directory I ran ..\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper.exe from Windows XP sp2. The program itself seems to run just fine but File-Print doesn't do anything. In Help-About, Java Platform is reported as 1.5.0_06 and Oracle IDE is 1.2.1.3213. I'm not sure where to look for what is causing the problem.

I hadn't tried CTRL-P before but I did today. On the first attempt, I saw a small jump in the memory usage for sqldeveloper.exe as reported in Windows Task Manager. Otherwise, there was no change. A second CTRL-P in the same session produced a further bump but subsequent attempts in the same session produced no further change in CPU or Memory Usage.
Using Task Manager to monitor this further, I tried File->Print again and saw that sqldeveloper would periodically climb to 1 or 2 percent CPU and consume a little more memory. After a minute or so, though, all activity stops again.
I do not get a print dialog box from SQLDeveloper using either CTRL-P or File->Print

Replace Web.config file for Autodiscover and web services virtual directory from the other working site
Delete and Recreate Autodiscover and web services virtual directory
Do this only on the affected site

External Task not working from job

Hi,
I am trying to call a batch file which copied fdr files from one folder to another and runs sarmanalyzer to generate csv files in the edq landing area.
The batch file is working fine when called from command prompt or double clicked in the edq server, but does not work as expected when called from project or job.
I generated a log file which confirms that the log file is being executed by the job to the last line, but the file copying and sarmanalyzer commands simply do not work.
Any pointers are greatly appreciated.

Dashboard link is working fine from the Apps Server Machine. But the link is not working from other machines. Do I need to setup machine.domain:<port_number> any where.

System Recovery is not working From HP Recovery Manager. so i cant restore my laptop to its original factory condition. (Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium).
so when i restart my computer and press Esc and then choose F11 i get this message :

Had the C partition been split/shrunk to form a new partition previously?
Does disk management show the HDD as basic or dynamic? (Start>Right-click Computer>Manage>disk management on the left).
If it has been switched to dynamic (Windows does this automatically when more than 4 partitions are present on the disk), then the F11 recovery partition won't function until it is restored to basic, but I would like to confirm that is the scenario before providing those steps.
The Disk management shows that my HDD as Dynamic, what should i do then if this is the case and the possible solution to my problem?

If you have more than 4 partitions you will need to delete the extra partition/partitions, then convert the hdd back to Basic.

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

In 5s, personal hot spot does not work from time to time. Iphone does not get detected on Wi-fi or bluetooth. Restarting or rebooting does not help.

Settings, general, reset and reset network settings. Clear out your network settings and set personal hotspot again.
also avoid special characters making a password. hashtags or open brackets for example doesn't work too good.
