S. O. S.

I am builiding this tiny interactive program.
All of the background is .swf animations, so the idea is that
you are in a menu (Flash scene) and when you push a button it is
referenced to the transtion (another Flash scene) and then the end
action of that transition is scripted to direct to the actual menu
(3rd Flash scene).
I've gone thru the code zillions of times, it is done like
this:
In the root scene or menu, I have defined a stop action
In the transition scenes, I have a layer with two keyframes,
one for the start of the animation, a second for end,
and another layer for actions, in which i have defined play
(start of animation) and gotoandStop(targetScene) for the end of
animation.
But...
When I export my movie what i get is a single transition that
executes correctly, but then buttonclicks take you all the way thru
the movie's scenes, in the order they were created, and then
suddenly you go back to scene 1 frame 1.
Any ideas why this is happening?
A little help?

could be the way you target scenes. Perhaps you are using
scene names in your
actions ?
Take note that scenes do not exist upon export, scenes are a
blank frames defining
end to one and beginning to another timeline. SO using
actions containing scenes names
cause problems in navigation. Try to label frames you like to
target and use
labels instead _root.gotoAndPlay("labelnameHere");
