S_oracle10 - Recovery in LINUX - Urgent

when customizing background images in OBIEE, I have replaced the s_oracle10 folder in linux machine(server) from s_oracle folder in my local machine(windows). so all the jpeg images and icons in the webpage doesnt seem to work.
Is there anyother way to recover the s_oracle folder in linux OS other than re installing the OBIEE in linux machine?
Suggestions are welcome.

I'm deployed in LINUX 10.1.3.3.2 ... if you don't have a system back up or a multi tiered environment (dev, QA, stage, lab, training, production) I might be able to zip you the images via email.

Why does messages go into Recovery Callback Queue - urgent

Env : BPEL 10.1.3.4 , Web logic 9.2
Scenario:
We have a process(Lets say A) putting messages from into a MQ(lets say Q1).
Another Application processes the messages from Q1 and puts some messages into another Queue (Q2).
We have another process B (Lets say B) which reads from this Q2 and calls the Process A’s callback operation(using right correlation parameters) thus releasing “receive” acitivty of Process A and hence flow goes further.
Problem :
While the above scenario is working as expected for some cases(approx. 60%) we observed the following :
i)     A’s receive activity is still waiting to receive a callback from B.
ii)     All the instances where A is waiting for receive has gone to “Recovery Callback” and sits there. When we manually recover them , Process A’s receive gets executed and works as expected.
iii)     In some cases where the flow went successfully ( ie., receive receives the callback) , receive activity received the callback long time after the message is places in Q2. ( in some cases it is 9 to 10 hrs).
Questions:
i)     Why does instances go into “recover callback” ? What can we do to avoid this ? ( Kindly dont suggest ways to recover, I am looking for a preventive measure)
ii)     Process A's recieve activity sometimes receive the callback after some 9 hrs and the flow passes on. I am wondering how can this happen as "synchMaxTime" is set to 900 secs in our case ( 15 mins). I thought any instance waiting for more than 15 mins for callback should have got timedout. Is this setting only for synch calls ?
Few other things
1. The Process B listening to Q2 is having a delay between messages as 3.66 secs . This is to throttle messages coming so quick to bpel as it may not have sufficent threads to process all of them at a time.
2. synchMaxTime in the Domains = 900 s
3. JTA Timeout in weblogic server is 3000 seconds.
This is very urgent , Kindly help with any input / suggestion you have ASAP. Thanks.

Our is IBM machine with oracle 9i and linux.
There are two databases orcl, orcl1
suddenly some problem is coming.
when we run the service from /etc/init.d

when we run sqlplus username/password@orcl1

when we do sqlplus /nolog
connect / as sysdba;
startup nomount;
alter database mount;
alter database open;
all are successful.
if we check select * from v$logfile, it shows of orcl.
we want of orcl1.
what to do

If it's not the active group and there are at least 2 other groups, you can drop the group (and recreate it afterwards).
In MOUNT status connect in sqlplus as sysdba:
alter database drop logfile group 3;
If the logfile is the Current logfile, then do the following (possible loss of data):
recover database until cancel;
Type Cancel when prompted
alter database open resetlogs;
Hopefully you don't see something like:
ORA-01547: warning: RECOVER succeeded but OPEN RESETLOGS would get error
below
ORA-01194: file 1 needs more recovery to be consistent
ORA-01110: data file 1: xxxxxxxx
In this case , without backups, you have to recreate the database.

Try setting the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 environment variable before you run the installer.
I needed to do this to get the 8.1.7 installer running on RedHat 7.1 and 7.2.

Endpoint for FTP based proxy in Linux-urgent

Hi,
I have configured FTP based proxy. Both FTP server and ALSB are running on same machine. I have configured endpoint as ftp://<ip>:21/. FTP directory is /home/alsb
I have also mentioned error,archive and download dirs in /home/Dir/download ,/home/Dir/error,/home/Dir/archive.
Inspite of this the proxy is not polling fo messages from FTP server. The name of the file changes to <filename>.stage but nothing happens after that.
The other alternative config done was to enable remote streaming.In this case,the file polls but it moves to error dir.None of the alerts configured in proxy are executed.
Can anyone tell me where the problem is?

N96-phone recovery-PLS HELP--URGENT

You better keep truing as instructed. you you completely exit the update program you wont be able to recovr your nokia anymore.
IVOR you shouldn't advise people who's update went wrong to disconnect it and reinstall the program! This way they will never be able to recover the Phone.
I just updated my n96 and it went wrong too. the only thing the phone did when i turned it on was flashing with the back light and back off again and again. The only way you can fix your faulty update is to do exactly as told in the software.
First put back in the USB cable then the battery and then the charger. then press the on/off button for 1 sec. then retry on the program
If you do this right you wont see anything happen to your phone.. it stays black and wont start up. on your computer screen you wont see that the phone has been reconnected. But now the update bar of the nokia updater will go on. and finish the update and try to recover the phone. When its finished the phone will start up and go into test mode. after the test is complete it will startup.
I once had the problem that the telephone hang on test mode and it still was after 10 minutes. if this happens pull out the usb cable and instantly put it back in. this way the usb will be reconnected to your computer and the phone will finish the test.
NEVER I SAY NEVER ! force quit the update program when the phone is off and the update has failed. As the phone is still in the standby menu while updating then there is not much that can happen. for it has not began updating yet.

"Add Folder" fails to find network servers under Vista

I've got a samba file server on my network, with all my music. I want to manage my music library myself, not with iTunes. This is all working fine with my old PC (running Windows XP).
I just upgraded to a new PC, running (32-bit) Vista. I've also got the latest iTunes (7.6.0.29). On the Vista desktop, when open the Network icon, I can see (and browse inside) my samba file server(s). I've also got desktop icons that are aliases or network folders to subdirectories in the file share.
In iTunes, if I do File->Add File To Library, I get a file browser which lets me explore the Network section and get to my file servers. But that's only a single file at a time.
Obviously, what I want is to File->Add Folder To Library. And this worked fine in iTunes with my old PC under XP. But now in the new PC, under Vista, nothing from the network shows up. The (very different) "folder browser" claims to be showing the desktop, but none of my network folders that are on the desktop appear there. There is a line for "Network", with a triangle to open it. But click on the triangle, or double clicking on the Network label, causes a brief pause, and then nothing shows up underneath (and the triangle disappears).
Is this a bug in iTunes under Vista? Is there any way to add a network music folder to the iTunes library in Vista, the way I used to in XP? I certainly don't want to add a single song at a time for hundreds or thousands of songs!

Nope, no luck.
I go to iTunes, then File->Add Folder To Library. In the dialog, the top entry is Desktop. The third subentry is Computer. I open it, and see only my local drives, no network drive:
+> Computer
+> Local Disk (C:)
+> Recovery (D:)
+> Linux Shared (E:)
+> DVD RW Drive (F:)
+> Removable Disk (G:)
+> Removable Disk (H:)
+> Removable Disk (I:)
+> Removable Disk (J:)
That's it. (I've got one partition share with a Linux system in dual boot; the last four "Removable Disk" partitions are a 15-in-1 media card reader.)
As for "network drives mapped to a drive letter", no I guess I don't have that. What I have is that I can browse the Network icon, which explores the Windows domain and finds my file server on the LAN. And I can explore through those subdirectories. And I can create a shortcut on the desktop to any one of them, and if I later reboot and doubleclick on the shortcut, I get directly to that subfolder on the remote samba file share.
So ... just for kicks I tried your suggestion. On the desktop, I did a "map network drive", and bound Z: to the same samba folder, and asked it to reconnect on logon. And wouldn't you know it, you're right: the Z: drive now appears in the Computer folder on the desktop, and indeed shows up in the Computer folder in the iTunes dialog box.
I still am convinced that iTunes has a bug, and it is still the case that clicking on Network in the Add Folders dialog never gives any choices, whereas exploring the Network in any other manner shows all my file servers.
But I'll give you credit: you've provided me a workaround. Much thanks!

/boot partition empty

hii.. i am new on arch, i have trouble...
after i upgrade arch using "pacman -Su" and i reboot but it show error, it seem like cannot find root partition... so i do reinstall grub with my another ubuntu linux, i do update the grub and try boot to arch again...
it show error that "you need to load kernel first", i found that my /boot partition is empty...
how can i recovery the linux image on boot partition
i have separate boot partition....
please help me...

Root, or Boot?
If /boot is empty, it probably means it is a separate partition and is not mounted. Look at the output mount. If it does not make sense, post the output here, along with the contents of your /etc/fstab file.
If root (/) is empty, then there is something horribly wrong -- or you are very confused

ich versuche das 5s mit der TC zu verbinden. Dazu gibt es die App Filebrowser bei iTunes, die ich auch erwarb. Soll das iPhone mit der TC verbunden werden, verlangt die App nach Anmeldedaten - es sollen zwei Felder ausgefüllt werden: "Anmelden" und unten drunter "Passwort". Weiß jemand, was dort eingetippt werden muss? Ferner soll die IP der TC angegeben werden, die kriege ich über Airport raus.

Yes, although it is not designed as a NAS.. it has no means to back itself up.. you have to use network access not USB.. it is not an external drive in that sense.
You cannot backup windows without using a windows backup software that at least recognises network drives.. MS decided nobody using a home version of windows would ever want to do such a thing so made the built in backup unable to handle network drives.. the rationality of MS is called into question with such stupidity.
Anyway it was the worst backup software ever.. just find something that works..
I use Macrium Reflect.. free version does full disk backups and excellent full recovery using Linux boot disk or windows PE.. you need to pay for incremental version.
Genie Time Line is a Time Machine like backup .. I am not sure how good.. it is more for Mac users who want something familiar .. work out how to recover as that is most important thing with backups. how hard is it to actually recover.

[SOLVED] (U)EFI dualboot Win7 Arch Linux - partitions gone - recovery?

Hi everybody,
I have a slight problem with my (U)EFI dualboot system (Windows 7 and Arch Linux) which used to be configured using rEFInd like it is described in my previous post:

<EFI PARTITION> is /dev/sda1 and I used to boot via <EFI PARTITION>\EFI\Boot\Bootx64.efi which then successfully either loaded Windows or Linux kernel.
Thanks to my own stupidity and a recent update of refind I decided to copy the new driver, font and icon folders to the <EFI PARTITION> in order to be up-to-date.
After doing so, the rEFInd boot menu had a third icon which said "Boot via \EFI\Boot\Bootx64.efi" and if I clicked on it a second rEFInd boot menu appeared with only the two icons for Windows 7 and Arch.
So I figured I could delete Bootx64.efi and ultimately did so, unfortunately. Afterwards I couldn't boot neither Windows nor Linux anymore.
Following this I went through my noumerous USB boot sticks in order to be able to recover the Bootx64.efi. Unfortunately the first USB stick was a Windows XP one which has the plop bootloader alongside:

Out of couriousity I entered this bootloader and found HDA and HDB (I assume resembling my SSD and my USB stick).
To my knowledge I didn't change anything but after entering the bootloader again I just found HDA left, HDB seemed to be gone. But I didn't think of anything bad happening yet.
Then I found a working Archiso which I booted and using blkid I couldn't find the partitions of my earlier system anymore, only its device and the USB stick:

/dev/sdb1: UUID="..." LABEL="ARCH_201312" TYPE="..." and so on
/dev/sdb2: SEC_TYPE="msdos" and so on
Even within the EFI shell I could not detect any internal drive anymore (only fs0: which is the USB stick)

Issue resolved If you care to know how, read on:
Looking at the disk using gdisk was doing no good. Neither of the recovery options in gdisk did the trick.
I then returned to testdisk and restored the partitions (successfully). However, afterwards I was greeted by shell telling me the root device was not found (seems like UUIDs get changed when one restores them using testdisk). Adjusting the PARTUUID for root in <EFI SYSTEM PARTIITION>/boot/refind_linux.conf did the trick and I could boot up Archlinux again.
Windows 7 still didn't boot telling me the required device was inaccessible (probably wrong UUID, too). I could however not restore/edit Windows' BCD using bcdedit, see my post Status: 0xc0000225 boot selection failed; required device inaccessible:
To make a long story short: Removing bcd and running autorecovery from withing Windows RE successfully created a new bcd. Unfortunately, Windows writes its backup bootloader at <EFI SYSTEM PARTITION>/boot/EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi. This file originally was a copy of refind_x64.efi which I need to put at that location to be able to dualboot. After chrooting to my Arch system I could restore bootx64.efi, create a new fstab and everything is running fine now again.

Lenovo G460 Windows 7 One Key Recovery with a Linux Partition

Hi All,
I recently bought a Lenovo G460 Notebook and installed linux on it to dual boot with WIndows 7. There was a problem with sound which I got fixed and everything is working fine now.
My question is:
Will me linux partition be there as it is If I recover the windows 7 partition using one key recovery?
How to create a rescue disk from One key recovery?

On part of the Linux partition, are you asking if the partition will be saved ? Or is it something else?

URGENT TO FIND JDEVELOPER DIRECTORY ON REDHAT LINUX

I have office website on redhat linux,jdeveloper10g using websphere and struts and ejb.We are not getting directory structure and location website files(public_html)f i find it i can maintain and update it.
can the website files be transferred on tomcat after arranging libraray files so that it will be easier to maintain.Please guide urgently. The website also abruptly runs/shuts down as we are unable to maintain.
You can come over my mobile or teamviewer .wHAT IS DIFFERENCE between jdev and jdeveloper.

If you have a rescue email address on your account then you can use that - follow steps 1 to 5 half-way down this page will give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
