Nokia series 40 theme creator

I have a nokia 6280 and downloaded the new theme creator but am having problems with the startup and shutdown gfx and sounds. When I add these in the creator as part of the theme there is no change on the handset, also when reopened in the theme creator the startup gfx show as unchanged but are set in the settings in the theme. Is this a trail version issue or a general issue? as I feel I dont want to purchase this if the problem is still there. The software version of my handset is:

Not sure about the Nokia one, but there is a very simple theme creator available online at Zedge (free registration required); I managed to produce reasonably looking themes for my 6300 using it, although it only provides limited color selection for texts and no possibility to change icons.

I have asked one question there, so we shall see if I get some answer there.
Regarding the topic you gave the link to - it appears that it's been closed for some time. Also, the link provided in the lastest post there doesn't work - it is being redirected to http://developer.nokia.com/resources , and from there I cannot find any Carbide, nor the one that would be working for my phone.
Also, that entire subsection has been archived, so I asked my question about it here. I hope that's the best suiting place for me to get the answer.
I did try to look for it at Google, but no success. :-(

S40 Theme Studio

Hi,
I am trying to open my saved themes, created with S40 Theme studio (2.2 edition), with my 6280 phone. The phone "sees" the themes (when I highlight them with the cursor in the theme menu, I see the specific image and the font color changes), but when I click "apply" I get always the "file corrupted" notification.
I am using the latest pc suite to transport the .nth files to my phone, via bluetooth. I am working on a laptop with windows xp with SP2.
Does anyone have an idea why? I looked up the issue on forum.discussions, but, although other users have posted with the same problem, there wasn't any answer.

I'm not very tech savvy. However, I like personalising my phones and making them reflect my individual style and tastes. It isn't always possible, or desirable, or easy, to just download 'free' themes you find off the internet. Most times I just don't know how, or if I manage to do it, it ends up not being compatible with the handset.
I would really love to have an application in PC Suite or even a basic one on the phone itself. One that might just let you mix and match a number of elements, or create some themes from scratch, and even have other themes from different handsets you could install on your own if you wished.
Would anyone else like this? Does anyone else think it would be cool?

Hi guys, thanx for the information. Since I started this topic, I have since been able to download Series 40 Theme Studio and have been working with it, with some success. I've already created and downloaded several themes to my phone and am now so into it that I'm constantly thinking up new ideas for them.
The series 40 theme stupio is pretty slow at times, and has a few cracks. For example, the programme gives you an option to set the background for the music player and radio, but no matter what you set, the same background you have already put for the main one is the one that the phone ends up showing in those applications. And there isn't any basic programme for doing something to "animate" images, such as making slide show of them or whatever, if you want to create your own special screen saver. For that, you will probably have to find your own gif image. Overall though, it is pretty good.
Which leads me to ask, do any of you guys know why Nokia doesn't include it in the basic PC suite package?

Creating your own Xperia Theme?!

Can the Theme Creator tool from 2010 still be used to create a theme for the Z1 compact?
I'd like a dark scheme, but none of the canned ones are perfect.
I wonder why there isn't an app that allows you to choose a background colour, a default/font colour, an accent colour, and perhaps another highlight colour or whatever may be needed.
This would allow a huge degree of customisation with very little effort.
It is great that one can exchange icons, etc. by developting a full theme but I reckon just being able to tweak a small number of fundamental colours would be totally sufficient for many users.

You are on about the white background I take it which is a Google change from Ginger Bread days when it was dark, So the only way I know of is to use a custom launcher or a custom rom as I don't think that theme maker will work on the new KK firmware

Why do the colours from Adobe Color Theme creation change when I try to use them?

I've been exploring the Adobe Color Theme creator in InDesign. There are the three tabs: Create, Explore, My Themes. In the create tab I can create a theme of colours, get the combination just right, and then save my new theme. However as soon as I save any colour out to the swatches, the colour changes! It's driving me nuts.
[Original Colour] -Colour it comes out as-
[green turquoise] -prussian blue-
[strong, bright red] -darkish orange-
[warm purple] -faded dark mauve-
My best guess was that maybe the colour profile of the document was set to CMYK and that the colour themes work in RGB, but as far as I can determine it's just "North America General Purpose 2" and the Working Spaces include both RGB and CMYK. Therefore I'm stumped. I do not have the expertise to figure out what is going on and these are significant colour changes to have a really strong, vibrant colour palette turn into something much more muted.
And if this piece of information is of any use, my yellow doesn't seem to change at all.
Any ideas please? I've tried searching for it, but maybe I'm not putting in the right combination of keywords. Hopefully I'm just being obtuse and someone will tell me to put a checkmark in a box somewhere.

There are some slight value changes between the Theme and the Swatches, but we're only talking a change of 1 or 2 and so the colours appear to stay true now. Total pain to have to do this extra little step every time. =)
a huge, glaring, and sloppy problem which really ought to be fixed by Adobe pronto.
You can batch change the color mode of swatches if you select all of the swatches and double click them. Or, you can simply leave the Lab values and let the conversion to the correct CMYK space happen when you export to PDF.
I'm guessing the fix won't be coming soon. The original Kuler app had the same color management problem. It's hard to see how they will fix it and keep Color Themes as a cloud based web app.
When you convert the Lab swatches the CMYK values you get will depend on the document's assigned profile, so if you make two document's with different profiles assigned you'll get different CMYK values when you convert the Lab values. Here is US SWOP vs US SNAP

Theme Integration in Business Catalyst

Hi All,
I'm a beginner in Business Catalyst but I've 3yrs of experience in development and I've a running site in Business Catalyst.
I just want to change the complete theme of that running site. Could anyone please guide me that How can I do that without touching the running site. As I saw the testing server functionality in the DW-CS6 but don't know how to use that.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rony,
We don't have a theme creator however I think what you are after is who to go about changing the template that the site is currently wrapped in.
If so you'll need to work with the site-wide template of the site. If you plan on creating a custom template you can do so within DW CS6 or within the admin by creating a new template from scratch or uploading an existing custom template.
