Safari 6.0 bottom corners have not optimized for retina display!

For those who have an rMBP, if you look closely at the two bottom corners of the window of Safari 6.0, they are not smooth.
It's no big deal, but I hope Apple could fix this soon.

  • Optimized for Retina Display settings?

Are their settings to optimize a book for the new iPad retina display? At this moment, the updated applications still functions as if the resolution is 1024x768. Perhaps I a missing some new option somewhere?

I'm going to throw my 2 cents in : )
and yes, with out the device we well not know for sure.
images that are 1024 x 768 will effectively be doubled in resolution to 2048 x 1536 to fill the new ipad screen.
Normally this would give you a blurry image.
But the key is that the new ipad is also reducing it 50% (Because the screen size is the same in inches)
so it is not like doubling the pixel resolution on your image and then looking at it on the same monitor (which would be blurry)
so the bottom line (in my opinion) a 1024 x768 image will look the same on a ipad 2 and a new ipad.
a 2048 x 1536 image will look a little better on a new ipad, (maybe a lot better if you have good eyes)

  • Are all webpages optimized for Retina Display?

I've noticed on my iPhone 4 that text on every webpage I've been to looks crisp and clear but everything but text like pictures and images still look very pixellated and blurry. Is this how everyones iPhone 4 is?

Web graphics tend to be very low res...somewhere between 72 and 86 dpi...for quick loading.. a higher res screen does not upsample the graphics.... I doubt we'll ever see web graphjics optimized for hi res displays... the files would be huge and take forever to load..

  • Which resolution do I have to design for retina display Ipad 3

    Hi all,
I have to design a background and icons for a ipad3 (2048x1536). With the Retina resolution I don’t know in which resolution I have to design?
Can I design in 2048x1536 or do I have to design my background in 4096 x 3072 pixels, and than rescale? I work in PS. Do I need to make my file in 72 or 150 dpi?
    Can please somebody help me.
    Thanks

    Hi Michael,
    Thank you. On this website:

I had read on that images had to be 2 times so big. My english is not so good, I may have not understood
    it well.
So when I desing on: 2048x1496 pixel 72di its fine for Ipad3.
For Ipad and Ipad2 I have to scale the image 50%?
The reduction of 50% is something I have to do in the code of the app?
    Thanks for helping me,

  • I have a 16GB 3GS phone. For the last few days, my phone is constantly giving me message that the accessory attached to my phone is not optimized for this iphone. You may experience noise or poor communication, while there is no acessory attached to it.

I have a 16GB 3GS phone since about20 months now. For the last few days, my phone is constantly giving me message that the accessory attached to my phone is not optimized for this iphone. You may experience noise or poor communication, while there is no acessory attached to it. I always used standard headphones and charging cable. Now when i recall, it started at one of the sync sessions with my itunes. I have turned my phone off and aon again and again but the message keeps coming every one or two minutes.I have also started loosing voicce on different applications like youtube etc. Also the ringer volume up and down key does not show me the small boxes increasing or decreasing on screen. The phone is playing crazy. Can someone help please
    Thanks
    Zia

It helped earlier but it has come back again. I don't know what to do. I tried what you said earlier but this time even this is not working either. And quite intrestingly my phone won't turn off. I turn it off, it goes off and then restarts on its own and then keep giving the same message again and again.
Could it be a charging cable, is there any chance that the cable which was working fine one day could turn to be "incompatible" with iphone the other day????????
    Please help

  • I just started receiving this error: "This accesory is not optimized for this I-Phone." What does this mean? I don't have any accessories attached. Should I be concerned?

A small amount of coffee spilled on my phone this morning.  I dried it immediately, but my phone has started giving me the following error:  "This accessory is not optimized for this I-Phone - You may experience noise caused by celullar interference and a decrease in cellular strength."  Since then I have not been able to manually adjust my ringer volume & I can't use I-Tunes w/o my ear buds. Why is this happening & what can I do to fix this?

Clean the dock connector with a soft dry brush.

  • Error message is "this accessory is not optimized for this iphone" how can i delete the accessory? have an iphone3gs

error message is "this accessory is not optimized for this iphone" how can i delete the accessory whatever it is? the phone does not tell me. Thank you.

I have same problem which drives me nuts - phone lights up in middle of the night and displays message every hour or so.  Something is obviously not right and it's not dust on the connector.

  • Is Logic 8 not optimized for dual core processing duties ?

Running MacBook Pro 2.4 ghz, 2 gig Ram 200 gig HD external eSATA or FW 800. No other apps running.
I am consistently seeing Logic 8 use ALL of the first core and barely tough the other - sometimes freezing up - saying that the CPU(s?) can not handle the audio. Why do I not see the other core "bailing water" for the first core ? Isn't this the purpose of dual core ?. It is like one guy is lifting a 150lb sac and his partner is sitting there eating lunch - and the "team"'s efforts fail.
Is Logic itself not optimized for dual core processing duties ?

I get beachballs just logging in. No apps - then Safari is also very buggy. I have had to "pull the battery out" more times than I would like to recount.
That sounds very suspect, like there is something wrong with the hardware or your OS install. I have a MBP 2.33 and have none of the Logic or other system problems you describe. Have you looked at your System Profiler to make sure both sticks of Ram are being recognized? If one stick is bad and you're only utilizing 1 gig, that would cause slow downs and spiny beachball with Leopard and with Logic. Try running hardware test from your system disks, and also try running Rember, a small app that will run a series of read/write tests on the Ram, incase one stick has a bad sector.
If that comes up with nothing, I'd try setting up a new user, logging in to that user, and seeing if you're having the same slow down problems with Leopard, Safari, Logic, etc. If not, then you have some corrupt files in your User system somewhere. Whether that works or not, the next step would be to back up all of your data and do an Erase and Install.
Finally, if you have specific problems that you can recreate, you could also take the machine to Apple if you still have a warranty, and perhaps they can figure out your performance issues.
    Good Luck!

  • This accessory is not optimized for this iphone message

"This accessory is not optimized for this iphone - you may experience a decrease in cellular signal strength" keeps popping up on my phone.  I haven't tried to put any accessories on my phone other than the charger that came with it and my ipod cord that I already had.  I have reset the phone with the home and sleep button but this did not help.  The message pops up like every 10 minutes or every time I try to text.  It's getting to be quite annoying....any suggestions?

Get a new unused tooth brush and clean out the dock connector area at the bottom of the iphone. I have had this haapen before and there is probobly lint causing it. Cleaning it out fixed it for me.

  • Following Media Files Are Not Optimized For Final Cut Pro

I'm sure you've seen this before and I've tried to search for a thread on it here and fell asleep, so sorry if this is a repeat.
I have edited projects in Premiere Pro (on my PC) and I have tried to transfer them in FCP. It worked with the exception of two things:
    1. the error message, "Following Media Files Are Not Optimized For Final Cut Pro"
    2. the quality *****! watching it on the playback in FCP it looks great, but then when I burn it to Disc it's pixelated in spots and generally has a lower quality picture.
I know that it's Standard Def. and can't expect the best, but I've done it before (once or twice) and it didn't seem this bad.
Can someone suggest anything to help the quality? Should I run my AVIs through MPEG Steamclip to make it a QT file and if so what is the best format in that since there are many to choose from and most I'm not familiar with?
    Thank you,
    Crayton

I did compress them to DV NTSC then burned it to DVD and the result was no bueno.
I thought what I would do is try compressing them again before I send them on over to DVDSPRO. Here is a simplified break down of the situation:
    - I have edited the raw footage in Premiere Pro on my PC. They were recorded and captured as SD.
    - I rendered them in Premiere, then transfered the rendered AVI file to FCP.
    - When went to place the files in FCP, I received the warning message; "Following Media Files Are Not Optimized For Final Cut Pro" but I went forward anyways and it allowed me to do so.
    - Originally I went ahead and compressed them from FCP to QT Movie as a DV NTSC, which ended up poorly.
    - Therefore my question is, should I compress them using another file type (other then DV NTSC)? Which leads me to another program that I have called MPEG Streamclip, which offers tons of file types of which I am unfamiliar with most. I want the best quality of course but don't know what file type is the highest going from AVI to a format that can be accepted by FCP and ultimately DVDSPRO. Keeping in mind that I only have FCP5 and do not have Prores.
    Did that make sense?
    Thank you again,
    Crayton

  • After target display mode, iPhoto reports an error, "The current screen resolution is not optimal for iPhoto."

I have the 27-inch (late 2009) iMac with mini-Display port input. Whenever I return from Target Display Mode, I get the attached error message and iPhoto becomes unresponsive (the window is still active, but clicking on it produces the error/warning system sound), I have to Force Quit it. The current screen resolution is not optimal for iPhoto (sometimes the error message is a little off the screen in the lower left and only the top of the window can be seen. This also seems to affect iTunes at the same time (by resizing the window to be super small), but without the error message or unresponsiveness.
Has anyone else gotten this problem, and or might know of a fix?

Yes, I have the same problem.  I have checked the resolution in Sysyem Preferences - display and it is properly set to the highest resolution (which is recommended).  I have no idea why this is ocurring but it is annoying.

  • Premiere Pro CC 2014 not optimized for iMac 5K graphics card?

I have the new iMac 5k with the AMD Redeon R9 M295X 4 GB GDDR5 graphics card. In Premiere Pro CC 2014 (updated to the latest version), when I go to "project settings" and select "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration," I get a pop-up window that reads: "the selected renderer hardware has not been certified." Does this mean that Premiere Pro is not optimized for these video cards? If I still choose to select GPU acceleration, will I see any performance boost?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

It means Adobe has not tested the card.
If you can select the card you are OK.

  • I get a message that says "this accessory is not optimized for this phone" how may I get rid of the message?

I get a message that says "this accessory is not optimized for this phone" how may I get rid of the message?

A lot will depend on what "accessory" the message is "not optimized". I get this message when my Mophie Juicepack is depleted, recharge it and no problems. Till the next time it is drained of course. That might give you hint of the issue. If you tell use what device you might be using when you get that message, we might have a different suggestion.
