Safari seg faults when invoking Live Meeting or Space Cruiser
Running OSX 10.5.2 and java J2SE5.0. Trying to invoke either LiveMeeting or Space Cruiser (both net conferencing programs) causes Safari to abruptly quit. The stack trace looks like a BAD ACCESS seg fault. Both of these worked previously. Don't know if it is the 10.5.2, Safari 3.1 or the java version that is now causing the problem.
This is a big step backwards for Apple. These programs are a must in the corporate environment. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there a Debug setting that will allow these to work?

Safari compatibility with Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 Web Access
I'm trying to use Live Meeting 2007 Web Access, and the test page is saying that the software isn't supported by my platform. The troubleshooter states that system requirements are Safari 1.3 or 2.0, and my Safari is 3.2.1 Can anyone advise how to remedy this without scrapping my current version and adding the earlier one? It also says it needs Apple Java 1.4.2...I'm completely lost there. Thanks for your help!
Hi,
Did the issue happen for all Live meeting or just for one Live meeting?
If the issue happen for all Live meeting, please update OCS client and then test again.
Try to reset IE and use other media player to test the issue.

JVM 1.4 seg faults with pure java code?
Has anybody else seen JVM 1.4 seg fault when running pure java code? This seems like it shouldn't be possible, but I get the following at indeterminate times. Unfortunately, it is difficult to isolate since decreasing the size of the program avoids the problem. When the seg fault happens, the size in memory is ~1GB and there is plenty of real and virtual memory to spare.

Did you figure out a workaround for this problem?. Did you get it solved with the SUN people?. Is it a known bug?.
I've got exactly the same problem on the same function and VM library.
Any info on this is very much welcome.
Thx
Krithiga
I get the same error sometimes with tomcat-4.0.4 on a
Slackware 8.0.0 and JDK 1.4.0. I don't user any JSPs,
only servlets and the business calls a remote SLSB on
a remote JBOSS server and afterwards select some data
form a remote DB2 7.1 over JDBC.

Can I disable the prompt "Upgrade Live Meeting Client" without actually upgrading?
Hi,
Does anyone know a way to prevent the following prompt (seen when exiting Live Meeting) - but without actually downloading and installing the update?
"Upgrade Live Meeting Client"
"A new version of Microsoft Office Live Meeting is available from http://download.microsoft.com/download/..../LMSetup.exe"
"Would you like to upgrade now?"
As an Administrator, I'd like to deploy updates to my users when I need to (i.e. after testing etc.) rather than users downloading updates for themselves.
Does anyone know how to prevent Live Meeting checking for updates on exit?
EdI upgraded the site and set the contact form to "don't use a workflow". But now my admin account isn't getting an email notification when a user uses the form.
The knowledgebase describes what I want, "If your site plan doesn't include a customer database, the form data is emailed to you."
My form is using FormProcessv2. Any suggestions? -

Edit: SOLVED. Apparently the /etc/rc.d/hal must be started. Didn't know that.Edit rc.conf (it's in /etc/)
Go to the section "Daemons"
(Mine looks like this)
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng !hotplug !pcmcia network netfs crond alsa dbus hal timidity++ cups gdm)
Just make sure you add hal somewhere. -

Faults in BPEL when invoked from a Custom built Web Application
Hello there,
I have developed a BPEL flow for a HealthCare demo and it works fine and all is well when it is invoked from the BPEL Console's initiate screen.
I developed a webapplication to invoke the same (using the regular com.collaxa api for invokation of any BPEL process). It invokes the BPEL successfully and I can see the whole Payload in the 'receiveInput' section of the BPEL Flow. But the very First 'Assign' in which i just assign a text string as a default value to an input element faults out stating that the 'to' field is a 'zero node'... The assign stage also shows the payload with all values in it. But it errors out...
here is the payload in the 'receiveInput' stage:
<inputVariable>
<part name="payload" >
<HealthCareWorkFlowProcessRequest>
<enduser_name>pavan</enduser_name>
<enduser_phone_number>08046521345</enduser_phone_number>
<enduser_username>pkvedam</enduser_username>
<enduser_email_id>[email protected]</enduser_email_id>

<doctor_comments/>
<receptionist_username>employee</receptionist_username>
<receptionist_email_id>[email protected]</receptionist_email_id>
</HealthCareWorkFlowProcessRequest>
</part>
</inputVariable>
Here is the ASSIGN stage errors out (copied to clipboard):

</part>
</selectionFailure>oops... sorry... I had typed it in as there is no way to copy that 'error message' on to the clipboard from the BPEL FLOW depiction.
it must have read 'HealthCareWorkFlowProcessRequest'...
the problem is not with the typo... :(
Am not able to find the root cause... but the flow fails when invoked from my web application... -
On i pod touch the orientation does not change when I turn it on it's side when using safari etc. When viewing youtube it only displays widescreen and will not display portrait , anyone any ideas? is this a fault or do all ipod touch do this?
The user guide says:
Movies viewed in Videos and YouTube appear only in landscape orientation. Street views in Maps
also appear only in landscape orientation.
Do you have the scree orientation lock turned on? If on there is a circular arrow icon with a padlock inside next to the battery charge icon in the upper right. -
Pacman seg fault(Solved but with comments on pacman-db-upgrade)
Performed an install from FTP and booted into root login.
Performed pacman -Syu and received report system up to date.
Performed downloads via pacman of twelve packages including xorg and xfce4.
Performed download of abs package.
Downloaded abs repos.
Modified abs extra vlc package and performed pacman -U install of modified package.
Pacman working well at this point.
Rebooted.
After reaching xfce4 Desktop, attemptd to install firefox.
Pacman -S firefox produced..... /usr/bin/pacman/ report(forget the exact error)
Subsequent trials with ...pacman -U .... produces seg fault.
Cannot use pacman. All other programs seem to perform correctly. Perhaps have lost DNS.
Cannot perform ...pacman -Syu --debug.....segfaults.
Last edited by lilsirecho (2011-07-19 18:19:49)Solved the difficulty but have no idea what can be done to prevent it from occuring for another user.
It seems that the db did not get upgraded when the ...pacman-db-upgrade ...command was executed. There was no statement for ..."pre 3.5 db" upgrade....while executing the command.
After re-install, the upgrade command performed correctly and pacman now performs correctly after reboots.
The question comes up as to what to do if the upgrade command does not work correctly and whether some indicator of correct response should appear in the beginners guide. Additionally, what can be done in the event that the upgrade command fails to meet the correct response.
These questions will in time be resolved by a new .iso but the present exposure is amazing in its consequences!
Perhaps the upgrade command is also a function of properly synced mirrors but the command requesting the upgrade was ...pacman -Syy... the mirror sync function!
What do we have...catch22?
The resultant segfaults make sense if the pacman sync db is not upgraded.
How is a user to know the upgrade failed? What to do about such a condition?
Marking this thread as solved ...with comments... -
Microsoft Live Meeting Hangs in Mavericks
Has anyone been able to get Microsoft Live Meeting to work under OS 10.9 Mavericks in Safari?
I have tried Safari, Chrome, and Firefox, all with no success.
Safari gets to a point where it says it is downloading the web console and it never gets beyond that point.
I know I can do it under Parallels but I would prefer to do it on the Mac natively if possible.
thanksI had the same problem on 10.9.2 (13C48) / Safari 7.0.2 and Java 7_51. A combination of this post and using Firefox got it working. To summarise:
Go to 'Systems Preferences > Java'. The Java preferences opens as a seperate window
Under General tab, select setting Run applets: in their own process (some MAC computers does not have this option, please proceed to the next step)
Go to the ‘Advanced’ tab. - Look for the option “Mixed code (sandboxed vs. trusted) security verification”.
Select “Enable - hide warning and run with protection”.
Under “Java Console” section, check “Show Console”
Under “Debugging” section, check the following: “Enable tracing”, “Enable logging”, and “Show applet lifecycle exceptions”
Restart Firefox if it's open
Once this is enabled when you follow the steps to join you will get a debugging window that pops up and gives you a window into seeing all the code you never cared about but you can just ignore this. Also be sure to click the “allow” button on a small window that pops up asking if you want to allow the applet to run.
Happy use of Live Meeting! -

Hello,
I have upgraded to OSX mavricks, and also update java JRE to version 7u45.

I get a messgae in the browser for plug-in failure and then an exception problem report which I have pasted below.
I also get the same error in firefox.

For participating in Live Meeting under Lion:
Make sure that in the Java Preferences in the Advanced tab the last option on the list "Verify mixed security code (sandbox vs. trusted)" is set to "Enable - run with protections, no warnings". As found under the
link given above.
For presenting in Live Meeting under Lion:
There seems no solution yet as a certain component called "hostforjava" which is used by Live Meeting is written for PowerPC only - and therefore does not run under Lion.
I've done a lot of searching to see if there's a workaround (installing Rosetta from the Snow Leopard DVD etc.) would help - but the little that can be found so far ends in a plain "no". Seems we have to wait for Microsoft (or whover wrote the hostforjava element) to update this piece - or - someone knows a trick here.

I have a simple 'Hello World' pl/sql web service. When i invoke it in asynchronous BPEL process, a local WSDL file is automatically generated for the parterlink used. The process even gets successfully deployed without any warning or error. But in the BPEL console when I create an instance, its alwaya being faulted and the audit give the following error at invoke:

Unable to capture fault for Invoke actrivity invoking OA Adapter
Hi,
I have invoke activity that invokes oracle applications adapter and i have catch all and catch for process. But when invoke adapter returns exception my catch and catch all doesn't capture the faults. But when i use some other adapter like database adapter then catch captures fault and work normally.
Is it a bug or there are some other way we need to capture the faults in case of oracle applications adapater.
Any suggestion?One more update i tried printing l_http_response.status_code and got 302.
Thanks,

Oracle Server 11.2.0.1.0 64-bit fails when invoked from InstallShield
I'm trying to install the Oracle Server 11.2.0.1.0 64-bit on Windows 2008 SP1 from the InstallShield 2010.
The installation is silent. Invoked by command line:
J:\Oracle_11.2.0_x64\OracleServer_11.2.0.1_x64\setup.exe ORACLE_HOME_NAME="ARAXI_11" -silent -nowelcome -force -nowait -noconsole -loglevel fine -noconfig -ignoreSysPrereqs use_prereq_checker=false -responseFile C:\Oracle\11.2.0\installation\scripts\SVRCUSTOM11.2.0.rsp
The problem is that when the command is invoked from command line (cmd), the installation is successful.
However, when the same command is invoked from under the InstallShield, the installation fails on Architecture requirement check:

INFO: Advice is ABORT

The questions:
1. Why the requirement checks give different results when installation is invoked from CMD and from InstallShield?
2. Why the requirement checks are done despite the parameters "-ignoreSysPrereqs" and "use_prereq_checker=false"?
3. What should I do to get the installation pass (either remove the check or make it satisfying)?
PS. The 32 bit Oracle Server installation on Windows 2003 works without problem when invoked from InstallShield.Please use 2008R2 if you want to install 11gR2 versionThank you for that update. Possibly it will help me to solve another trouble.
Regarding the problem I described, the issue is that I install Oracle Client 32 bit prior to trying to install Oracle Servier 64 bit.
The Oracle Client setup had started RemoteExecService.exe 32 bit process. And the process remained running after the installation completed.
The Oracle Server setup utilizes the running RemoteExecService.exe process. Since the process is 32 bit, the architecture requirement check had failed.
I've added to my script killing the process
taskkill /F /IM RemoteExecService.exe
before invoking the Oracle Server installation.
That way the Oracle Server setup starts another RemoteExecService.exe process and the new process is 64 bit.
The architecture requirement succeed. -
SOAP Fault when returning null from a Native Web Service Stored Procedure
I have a stored procedure which I can successfully invoke via soapUI
However, if one of the Stored Procedure's OUT arguments is set to null the native web service returns the following fault :
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<soap:Body>
<soap:Fault>
<faultcode>soap:Client</faultcode>
<faultstring>Error processing input</faultstring>
<detail>
<OracleErrors xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/orawsv/faults">
<OracleError>
<ErrorNumber>ORA-19202</ErrorNumber>
<Message>Error occurred in XML processing</Message>
</OracleError>
<OracleError>
<ErrorNumber>ORA-01405</ErrorNumber>
<Message>fetched column value is NULL</Message>
</OracleError>
</OracleErrors>
</detail>
</soap:Fault>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>I can see how to control the processing of null values when invoking orawsv (using the null_handling element).
Is there an equivalent for Stored Procedures ?
Thanks,

Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
"CORE 11.2.0.1.0 Production"
TNS for Linux: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - ProductionWithout going into any technical discussion about the code, my first question is what JDK version was used to create this which was imported into the form? Understand that Forms 10 runs on JDK 1.4.2, so if you used any newer JDK version, likely there will be problems.
