Safari top of page hides under browser bar?
Every time I go to a webpage (Facebook as you can see here) for some reason the top of the page is hidden under the top of the web browser search bar. I just got my MAC this past week and installed the latest update. I didn't have any problems before doing so. Also, it only happens when I full screen the browser page. When I minimize it to a floating window it works fine.
Any idea how I can fix this as it is very frustrating?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

I just upgraded to the new snow leopard, now my Safari is acting loopy. At times, the page will scroll down when I hit the space bar. As I type this discussion the screen isn't paging down, but if I go to the tab where I have facebook loaded and hit the space bar, it acts as a page down key. I've had safari crash about 5 times tonight for no apparent reason. The delete key sometimes will act as a page back key. I really have no idea whats going on.
I've had keyboards go wacko on me before due to something being spilled on them or a wireless problem, but this keyboard is a wired keyboard and nothing was spilled on it. It's rather new and I'm quite certain it's not a keyboard issue.
No settings have been changed on the computer. The only thing different today from yesterday, is the fact that I upgraded to snow leopard.
Help would be pretty sweet.

I repeat my question: "How do I put 'The Menu Bar' back where it was before. What I mean by The Menu Bar is: File,Edit, Format, View, Help it is on top where the Browser arrow is!!. I don't know how to put this Menu Bar where is belongs...
Right click up where the menu bar should be, it will have a list of options. You will see menu bar as the top option. Just click it and it will check it off and reappear.

When I open a new window or tab with the top sites, all the top sites "SHAKE". I have a screen recording of this, but I have no clue how to (or if I can) post it. It happens all the time… I am not sure how to tell if it is running in 32 bit or 64 bit.

Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info. In the Get Info window undre the General tab you wil see the option for "Open in 32-bit mode"...
Try a new window or tab with Top Sites. If the "shake" persists. If it does ...
Try Safari maintenance.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Quit Safari.
Go to Home/Library/Caches/Safari and delete all the sub-folders within that one.
Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete any of these files you have there:
• Downloads.plist
• History.plist
• LastSession.plist
Repair disk permissions...
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. Restart Safari

I have Safari on my PC and the browser bar and the bar that has the files, edit, etc on it disappeared, how do I get it back? I was allowing my 2 year old daughter watch a show on netflix using google chrome but somehow she managed to get safari open and net thing I knew the browser bar is missing and when I tried to get it back, I managed to make things worse by making the bar above it disappear too. How do I get them back?

What on earth makes you think that? He's posted in the Windows category of the Safari community. He has never mentioned Mac OS. He said Safari was installed on his PC in his very first post. Furthermore, the details of his replies to your advice are precisely what you should expect if he was using Safari for Windows, and trying to implement the (inapplicable and unimplementable) Safari for Mac advice in the context of his particular issue. Grey bar on top of page onYouTube ios safari.
Ok, so suddenly I have a big ugly grey bar on top of the page when I try to look at youtube on safari on the ipad.
The grey bar is displaying the YouTube app icon, with a button to open the app ( because I have the app installed, I imagine it would say install if I didn't.)
Now if I wanted to use the app, guess what, I would. I prefer to look at youtube on my browser.
The problem is that on the grey bar at the top left corner is a tiny (X) button to dismiss the grey bar, which I would very much like to do, but it is impossible because I cannot press the (X) because it is positioned in such a way that its like there is no button there. I tried repeatedly to close it, instead, it just keeps opening the YouTube app, which I don't want to do.
Is this bar going to remain on safari all the time when I want to look at youtube?
I don't understand why I'm being pushed to use the app. I know I have it, I don't need reminding, I'm choosing not to use it, i prefer safari version to app, why is safari doing this?
I feel like Apple is trying its hardest to annoy everyone and ruin what was a slick seamless service before Steve jobs left the game.
There are several other little annoyances like this that I can't even be bothered to get into, all beginning immediately after Steve was out of the picture.
Meanwhile, chrome browser for ios is displaying everything beautifully and is becoming my main browser on ipad.
Are they trying to push me toward the Google phones and tablets, because it's working.

When I open safari on my iPad 2 and browse for a while, when I close safari on my background of the home if leaves the address bar imprint and also down the side of the background it leaves white lines from the web browser. I've also noticed it when using various apps aswell. It's not just safari. I've also tryed different background images and it still does it!

Thanks NatalieTry this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Every so often I will click on a link in safari and it opens a second window. It opens it small. I can click the two diagonal arrow in the upper right hand corner and go to full view but then the browser bar at th top and all the Safari stuff like file, edit, view, history etc float up out of site. Much like the disappearing dock I can get it come back by going up by it. This is very frustrating. I have fixed it in the past but each time it is very difficult to find out how to do it. First why does this start happening? and if it does how can I get it to go back to the normal way? I will then bookmark the answer so I will be able to fix it quickly if it happens again.
I may not have called things the proper name. I am re-wording this now. Hopefully this makes it clearer.
Every so often,(3 times in 4 months), I will click on a web site and a new window will open much smaller than the standard window. I can enlarge the window by click the two arrows in the upper right hand corner but the menu bar disappears and reappears if you hover over it. I tried what some said above and when the window was small dragged it to the same size as the window under it, menu bars all visible. I closed that window and reopened it and it opened small again. I can go for several weeks and all additional windows open the correct size and with menus visible, then it goes into this mode. Everything running Lion 10.7.2 and Sarafi 5.1.1
I straightened it out one time or got it to stop doing that but don't remember how I did it. My husband fixed it the second time and he isn't around today. Anyone able to help? -

I am using REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE to display top of page in ALV. The issue is i want to restrict the top-of-page height.
As of now if i have 10 lines to print...the top-of-page comes with 10 lines in display.
But i want some (say 4 or 5) to be visible with scroolbar and rest can be viewed by use of the scroll--bar movement!!

The first two problems (box cycling from element to element on page, scroll bar returning to top) can be caused by a stuck (or defective) Tab key on the keyboard. Such damage can be caused by a liquid spill; just one tiny droplet is enough to short a wafer switch under one key.
The last issue (black box, white text - sounds sorta like a debugger window) I haven't seen, but could be caused by something similar.
To check for that, try using a different keyboard. If you're using a wireless keyboard, turn it off and see if the oddities stop. -

How can I get rid of 3 words at top of page left over from an earlier search on Safari?
First sorry for the spelling I am dislex..
If this is at the VERY top then it's sound to me as it's on the links bar. (is it?) if it is then this bar repersents the pages you have in your site as you add and remove pages so this bar changes, when you site is live/publised visiters to you site use this bar to move from page to page (it a menu).
I would say you have one page called welcome and one call blank. Each page on your website has setting that can be changed using the "Inspector" if you click on the page you want to change and then click on the icon"Inspector" at the botom of iWeb a panell will open up with the setting for the page/object if you make shour the page tab is chosen "page" will apper in the pannel you will see "Page Name" this is where you set the page name(as if you could not gess that one) and 2 tick boxes
Include page in navigation menu.
and
Display navigation menu.
So on the pages you don't want to appear in the top navigation menu of the pages that have one you click this box
and on the pages you want to have a navigation menu you click the other or both

My favorite folders not showing up under address bar on safari anymore on my iPad Air.The folders are still there for me to save to just not visible, I do have the tab under settings, safari, set to on to show the favorites, and did reset the iPad, thanks
Quit all apps (Double tap the Home button and swipe the preview page up for each open app) then Reset (Hold the Sleep/Wake & Home buttons until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears - no data will bee lost)
Make sure you have your Favorites selected properly here: Settings > Safari > Favorites
