Safari Vulnerability - Test for script running
Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone out there knows how to test if someone has a script running on your computer, in relation to the vulnerability from safari.
The last few days I have not been able to load the Apple.com/au website or log into "My eBay" page. It seems as though someone is blocking it. It gets to a certain stage and will just not load anymore. Other sites load just fine.
I upgraded to 10.4.5 and was able to load these pages for a brief period of time and then it reverted to not being able to load again.
Is someone controlling my computer and can they get access to sensitive info??
Cheers.
iMac 20" G5 Mac OS X (10.4.5)
Thanks for the suggestion, however I am using alternate credentials when using Add-Computer. I had taken that out of the script as shown, as I've been simplifying the code down to isolate my issue. That probably wasn't clear from my initial post.
Just to clarify, The script itself runs as Local System since it's getting launched by the local computer GPO. Even with providing alternate credentials to the Add-Computer cmdlet, the script doesn't execute the command correctly and the script never actually
completes. I know that it is stuck at the Add-Computer cmdlet as I had put some debugging logging to a text file, and that's the last message that appears in the text file.
In the simplifiction of my code, I was attempting to use Invoke-Command in a different user context to execute the Add-Computer cmdlet. Again, the Add-Computer was removed to simplify for debugging, but I have again run into the same issue where the script
running as Local System now hangs at the following line of the script:
$localSession = New-PSSession -Credential $LocalCred
Again, I'm able to confirm that from the logging I've put in, and that's the last message that's written
to the logfile, and I can see the process still running in Task Manager and I end up having to terminate.
Hopefully that makes some sense and someone has come across this issue.

DavideHello
Just thought I would add my fix for this issue for anyone who is still getting it:
Go into Services.msc and stop and disable the following service: "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service"
Then sysprep continues on past the stage where it gives the warning about the CloneTag key and successfully completes (hopefully!).
In this instance if you instead manually re-add the CloneTag key the image will give a BSOD on restart if you try to deploy it (mine did anyway).
It appears the error occurs and the sysprep stage fails so the CloneTag is not set to stop the deployment going any further.
If the task sequence is failing then it may be better to run a local sysprep and generalize from c:\windows\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe as this gives better error messages.
It's also good to build the reference computer image in a virtual machine which you can snapshot before you start so can quickly revert back and try again if it messes up (as mine did a few times until I worked out the cause).
Your issue may not be the same as mine though but hope it helps someone.
Robin
P.S. Looking online it looks like the bug with the windows media sharing service goes back as far as pre RTM builds.

Thanks, this worked for me trying to sysprep Windows 7 x64 Home Premium. -
Parameters for Shell Script running through DBMS_SCHEDULER as Executable
Hi,
I'm using Oracle 10.2.0.1 on Solaris.
I have a shell script to run through DBMS_SCHEDULER.
DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_PROGRAM (
program_name => 'PROGRAM_NAME',
program_type => 'EXECUTABLE',
program_action => '/home/oracle/test.sh',
enabled => TRUE,
comments => 'Test Shell Script'
But how do I define the parameters for the shell script?
Lets say if I run the shell script from the Unix promt I will enter as below:
/home/oracle/test.sh PITS aed5 XYZ
How do I define it in the DBMS_SCHEDULER.define_program_argument?
Thanks,
ShailWhen you create the program you define the number of parameters it will accept:
DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_PROGRAM (
program_name => 'PROGRAM_NAME',
program_type => 'EXECUTABLE',
program_action => '/home/oracle/test.sh',
enabled => TRUE,
comments => 'Test Shell Script',
number_of_arguments => 3
);then you define your job arguments and set default values. This is optional - but if you don't then you will have to define the values using the set_job_argument_value:
-- defines the first argument
DBMS_SCHEDULER.DEFINE_PROGRAM_ARGUMENT(
program_name => 'PROGRAM_NAME',
argument_position => 1,
argument_name => 'arg1',
argument_type 'CHAR',
default_value => 'PITS',
);You can set the argument vaues using:
DBMS_SCHEDULER.SET_JOB_ARGUMENT_VALUE (
job_name => 'JOB1',
argument_position => 1,
argument_value => 'PITS');or using the argument name defined using the define_program argument
DBMS_SCHEDULER.SET_JOB_ARGUMENT_VALUE (
job_name => 'JOB1',
argument_name => 'arg1',
argument_value => 'PITS');where JOB1 is a job for program PROGRAM_NAME created using the dbms_scheduler.create_job procedure

How to run Flexunit tests for FlexModule
Hello,
I have a module for which I have wrriten flexunit testcases.
In my test case, event is dispatched, but is not able to be listening by the associated command (parsley framework). In the browser, it says Errors: 1
In FlexUnitApplication,
testRunner.runWithFlexUnit4Runner(currentRunTestSuite(),
"moduleName");
What exactly should be mentioned in project name(2nd argument of above method)?
Please help in troubleshooting why my test wont be running.
Thanks,
TanuI started to use JFXtras' testing framework to test the model, not the UI... Works nicely.
For testing the GUI, I saw the article [Testing JavaFX UIs: Part 2 of ?|http://java.dzone.com/news/testing-javafx-uis-part-2] (and the previous one), but haven't tried yet. -
Does anyone know how can i get or download the apple hardware test for a macbook pro made in 2012 running Mavericks 10.9.3. Thanks.
Sean and Andy -
I have to agree with Andy here. I am having the same problem on a mid 2010 MBP (6,2). I have already read the AHT info provided by Sean's link, and they are less than helpful. I'm sure they will be helpful to those who find that they work, but they are confusing if this is not the case. For example, my MBP(6,2) came with ONE (not two) installation disks, so the instructions don't work for me. Another issue is the instructions confound the descriptions related to the MBP, the original (delivered) software (OS X version), and the current installed OS X upgrade software.
So here's what does NOT work for me...
(A) I cannot install 'Disk 2', since I never received this with my original (new) purchase in mid 2010.
(B) I have checked my firmware versions and they are all up to date, as per Apple's information.
(C) As suggested in another thread, I looked for /Library/Core Services/.diagnostics and it was NOT present. I followed his instructions, downloaded the correct (I believe) dmg, and installed it. It is in the correct place, and I can see all the invisible files using Pathfinder.
(D) When I re-start holding down the D key (immediately), it just goes through the normal boot routine; no evidence of AHT.
(E.1) When I re-start holding down OPT-D, I get a spinning globe, and then it prompts me for a network (wi-fi) connection.
(E.2) For some unknown reason, the prompt identifies between 2 and 5 of my --neighbors'-- routers, but does not show mine. (??!!)
(E.3) The routers are listed alphabetically; however, my router SHOULD be at the top of the list by this criterion, but it is nowhere to be seen.
(E.4) The 'internet recovery' process then allows me to enter a network name AND password. I do this, for my current wi-fi router, and the process rejects it as an incorrect login ID. It is NOT an incorrect login ID!
So, now asking Sean and Andy (or anyone else) for further suggestions... ??? As Andy suggested, many people ask questions here because they have -already- worked through the 'official' recommendations, and have found them to be inadequate.
Any advice would be appreciated! TIA.

blazeds/trunk/qa/apps/qa-manual/bugs/BLZ-594/readme.txtYou do have a very complex looking site and may need several tables in mysql to handle all that data. If you knew to phpmysql I would suggest taking a look at this tutorial it will help get you started in understanding how to $_GET info from a database and also how to $_POST data to a database. I am no expert just learning myself and I found this very helpful. This is the link http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/first_dynamic_site_pt1.html
There are also many tutorials on Youtube to help build a CMS Content Management Site I would suggest the following: -
http://www.youtube.com/user/phpacademy
http://www.youtube.com/user/betterphp
http://www.youtube.com/user/flashbuilding
And many more on my channel here

CMS's are easier to maintain, add edit and delete content.
I have also recently bought a Book by David Powers Training from the Source very helpful.
Anyway hope you get it sorted. -
How to test for existence of AcroXFA test objects?
Hi -
I'm writing scripts to test an XFA form with dynamic subforms. For example, at the end of Part 4, the user hits a Validate button, and if their data is correct, then the Validate button disappears and a Part 5 subform appears.
So my script looks something like this:
Function GetButtonPart4Validate()
Set GetButtonPart4Validate = PDFDoc("TestForm").AcroXFAForm("form").AcroXFAForm("form1")
.AcroXFAForm("sfPart4").AcroXFAButton("sfValidate")
End Function
Function GetPart5()
Set GetPart5 = PDFDoc("TestForm").AcroXFAForm("form").AcroXFAForm("form1").AcroXFAForm("sfPart5")
End Function
GetButtonPart4Validate().Click
PDFDoc( "TestForm" ).WaitProperty "ready", true, 60000 ' Wait for event processing complete
If DataTable("boolValidates", dtLocalSheet) = "TRUE" Then
If( GetPart5().Exist ) Then
' A: Checkpoint Succeeds: Validation was successful
Else
' B: Checkpoint fails: Validation failed
Endif
Else
If( GetPart5().Exist ) Then
' C: Checkpoint Fails: Validation was unexpected
Else
' D: Checkpoint Succeeds: Validation failed as expected
Endif
Endif
Unfortunately it appears that XfaSubForm.Exist always returns TRUE. In other QTP testing domains (eg "Exist Property (WinObject)" in QTP Help), the documented behaviour of the Exist property is to be true if the desired test object can be found in the application-under-test. Typically this means that when the script tries to access an XFA widget which doesn't exist (even something like GetPart5().getROProperty("visible") ), the script stops and thinks for a minute or so, and eventually produces a test error that the object doesn't exist then muddles onward. It is the "stops and thinks for a minute or so" which frustrates me, since these are delays which I am trying to avoid.
Another possible angle I looked into was counting the subforms under Part 5's parent.
PDFDoc("TestForm").AcroXFAForm("form").AcroXFAForm("form1").RefreshObject
PDFDoc("TestForm").AcroXFAForm("form").AcroXFAForm("form1").AcroXFAForm("sfPart5").Refresh Object
' check to see if there is a 'sfPart5'
Dim MyChildren, i
Set MyChildren = PDFDoc("TestForm").AcroXFAForm("form").AcroXFAForm("form1").ChildObjects
For i=0 to MyChildren.Count - 1
print i & " name=" & MyChildren(i).GetROProperty("name")
Next
This also seems to fail: Part5 doesn't appear among its parent's children (at least before QTP actually tries to use it).
The PDF Test Toolkit User Guide doesn't specifically mention that Exist or RefreshObject or ChildObjects are implemented, so I can't say AcroQTP isn't working as designed, but if you're looking for suggestions for improvement, I'll vote for fulfilling these parts to the QTP. Please confirm my conclusions that these are not properly implemented, or whether I'm missing something.
In the meantime, do you have any recommendation on how to proceed? My present workaround is to look for a "validation error" windows dialog that indicates Part 5 won't exist, but this won't work in future test scripts.
Cheers,

... QUERY:- Find all customers who have at most one account at the Perryridge branch.
SOLUTION *1* :-
select customer_name
from depositor,account
where account.account_number=depositor.account_number and
branch_name='Perryridge'
group by customer_name
having count(account.account_number) <=1
ok running correctly
That finds customers who have exactly one account at Perryridge.
The assignment is to find customers who have at most one account at Perryridge. You need to include customers with 0 accounts at Perryridge, as well. You could use an outer join, or MINUS, or a NOT IN subquery, or a NOT EXISTS sub-query (as mentioned above) to do that.
Can there be customers who have no accounts at all, at any branch? If so, you'll need to use the customer table in this problem, as well as depositor and account.

SOLUTION *2* :-
select D1.customer_name
from depositor D1
where unique
(select customer_name
from depositor D2,account A1
where D1.customer_name=D2.customer_name
D2.account_number=A1.account_number and
branch_name='Perryridge'
gives error:-
where unique
..........*^*
ERROR at line 3:
ORA-00936: missing expression
Logic of both solution are correct . But Solution 2 gives error in oracle. I want unique construct to work.Sorry, it doesn't in Oracle. I don't know of anything like that in Oracle.
Does "WHERE UNIQUE (SELECT ...)" work in some other database system? Which?
How to do it. Or How can i test for the absence of duplicate tuples ??????
Your Solution 1 is the best way to find customers with exatly 1 account (rather than 0 or 1 accounts) at Perryridge. Is there any reason why you wouldn't want to use it, if you ever needed to find customers with exactly one account there? -
How do I test for the presence of an active open document in Photoshop?
I’m new to Adobe scripting, and one of my first scripts deals with the activeDocument in Photoshop.
If there is no activeDocument, I want to display a message and terminate the script. My efforts
so far have been met with frustration. While developing the script in ExtendScript Toolkit,
I used the test expression "activeDocument in app", and everything worked as expected. And when I installed the script
in the Photoshop scripts folder and ran it from Photoshop with a document open, it also worked.
But when I ran the script from Photoshop with no document open, it failed.
Moreover, after that,the script failed when I tried to run it in ESTK.
I did some testing and found that my test expression, "activeDocument in app"
was returning true, even though no document was open.
Still in ESTK, I replaced the “app” with ”Application” in the test expression. That worked when
I stepped through the script. But when I tried to run it without stopping, it stopped at the
test expression, and displayed the error message, “Application is undefined.”
So how do I test for the presence of an open document in Photoshop ??After posting this, I discovered the Photoshop Scripting Forum, and I found my answer there.—
I should have used “app.Documents.length” as my test expression. -

<POB> ENDI'm extremely unclear on exactly what's happening. You mention something about a script running at startup in your subject, but then never mention that again. What's going on there? Where are you finding that script?
That script would suggest someone playing a joke on you, by making your computer say "quack" every time you start up. That's not indicative of malware.
On the other hand, a hidden file as you describe is a common malware trick, though I'm not sure why it would only contain "--purge" - that isn't a complete command, as far as I know, and the purge command isn't likely to be used for malicious purposes anyway.
Still, you do have some indication that you're using Bitcoin-related apps, and there has been some Bitcoin malware that has appeared recently. See:
New CoinThief malware discovered
Note that the post on MacRumors that you refer to in your second post is almost six years old, and references a vulnerability that was closed later in 2008. It's completely irrelevant to any modern system. -

I could not find much explanation on net.
pl. help in case it is already solved.Hi,
we are implementing datavault on an existing 11g DB.The database is up and running fine , but DBCA shows this error when I am trying to configure datavault using DBCA.
I have created a spfile from the same pfile, and Db does not show any error while coming up or shutting down. The issue comes only while using DBCA. I shall try minimizing the parameters and try again.
Thanks

We have QA automation jobs that invoke user interface tests in Firefox running on a virtual Linux host.
My tests perform regression, but I'm held up because of the Firefox This Connection is Untrusted warning.
My current requirement is to ignore this connection untrusted warning, which comes up when accessing an HTTPS website and i want this to be disabled through either a shell or a Perl script.
I can do this manually using the steps below, but this will not work for my current problem since the virtual Linux hosts are created dynamically on submission of automation jobs.
Go to Tools > Options > Advanced "Tab"(?) > Encryption Tab Click the "Validation" button, and uncheck the checkbox for checking validity.
Is there any Perl or shell script that disables this certificate warning?There might be an add on to accomplish this:
*[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/skip-cert-error/ Skip Cert Error]
However if we cannot find a solution there might be another place for support:

RT i'd suggest you try out oracle enterprise manager and look at the list of events you can test for. You can use this list to implement in cron or let OEM do it for you. You'll find test like, is the listener up, is the db up, is the server up, what tablespaces will not be able to extend, if a disk is getting fulletc and stuff like that . I have written a table transformation script for InDesign CS3, which formats an imported Excel table.
With InDesign CS3 the script runs well. Now I tried the same script with InDesign CS4 and CS5 and it runs very slow. It's about 10 times slower than with CS3.
I tried to turn off redrawing, but this didn't help. It even got slower again!
Does someone has made similar experiences? Could you solve the performance issue?
Do scripts in CS4/CS5 generally run slower than in CS3?
Does CS4 differ so much to CS3 that the script runs 10 times slower?
What can I do to improve the execution performance?
Thanks for any tips / advices etc.I now have made some tests with profile / timing. Here are the results.
you find the code snipped below. It iterates first over all rows and then over all cells inside of the row. In the cell iteration, the function hasGapInLineBelow(...) does more iterations.
The example is with a table of 42 rows and 9 cells.
I have compared CS3 and CS5
there are 3 test cases:
for 1/1 means: first for-loop is in iteration 1 and second for loop is in iteration 1 (statements for first row and first cell done)
for 1/9 means: first for-loop is in iteration 1 and second for loop is in iteration 9 (statements for first row and all 9 cells of the row done)
for 2/9 means: first for-loop is in iteration 2 and second for loop is in iteration 2 (statements for second row and all 9 cells of the row done)
it's strange that normal variable assignments take lot of time (like the statement startPos = indexLeftNeightbourOfCurrentCell;) -> I don't understand why this can be so time consuming!?!
it's also strange why in "for 1/9" and "for 2/9" variable assignments take much longer than in "for 1/1"...
could I use another data type than array for the variable isMergedRow? Which one?
do you know any performance optimizations?
in which time unit ExtendScript Toolkit shows the measured periods?
how are the times calculated in loops? Are these the times sumed up over all iterations or is it just the time for a single statement?
