Safe guarding an email form

Question

Is there a way to safe guard your email address in a form you have on an iWeb site.
Something that checks if your are dealing with a real person.
Something that checks if the user's email address is valid
Something that keeps crawlers from harvesting your email address

There are ways to encrypt an email address (using HTML character code) that will let the email address display normally on a page but not be harvested. I don't know, however, if the same code can be used in a form. It might in a form action type of form.
If you were to use a form from Wufoo the address couldn't be harvested as it would be on the Wufoo site. This demo page has both types of forms and the code used in the Action Form forms: Add Form . The bottom of the page has the methods used to encode the email address. You'll have to try and see if that code would work in the Action Form type of form.
It might be a moot issue as the crawler would have to crawl the widget.js page to get the address. Don't know how far down a site they crawl.
