Sales order stock value

hi every body,
we have a stock in unrestricted and sales order stock.but when i see the material master, its showing only unrestricted but not sales order stock and the total value also showing only unrestricted.why?
when i run MB52 report,in this also its showing quantity and value only for unrestricted but not showing sales order stock.
how can we see the sales order stock and value?
thanks

Hi,
Your sales order can be valuated and non valuated:
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/4d/2b92b743ad11d189410000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
You can manage valuated or non-valuated sales order stock.
If the sales order stock is not valuated, it is managed via a cost collector. The system does not carry out invoice verification postings for goods movements, and you cannot obtain an overview of how the stock is valuated until the end of the settlement period in Controlling.
If the sales order stock is valuated, you have immediate access to its value in Financial Accounting. The assigned accounts are debited and credited as a result of the valuated goods movements. From the viewpoint of MRP, the sales order stock is available for the sales order only.
If your sales order is non valuated, you can see it in MB52 / MMBE - but special stock checkbox should be marked before you run the report.
If your sales order is valuated you should see it in material master as well as in report MBBS (nd of course, MB52 / MMBE can also be used).
Why you cannot see value for your non valuated sales order stock is explained by its name (non valuated). You can even see an accounting document that belongs to material document with mvt 412E > when you post normal unrestricted-use stock to non valuated sales order special stock:
stock account: - value of the stock (Credit)
COGS: + value of the stock (Debit)

  • Changing Sales Order from using Sales Order Stock to Std Unrestricted

    Hi
We have set up some materials to default to an Item Category/Schedule lines that creates the Sales Order with relevance to Sales Order Stock.
However in some instances we need to change the Sales Order to a Std Item Category that just uses Unrestricted stock.
When we test this currently, we are unable to update the original Line Item as it is GREY.
So we have been adding a "reason for rejection" then copying information into a 2nd line with a Std Item Category.
But it is still sitting in MD04 under the Sales Order Stock configuarion and not reducing Unrestricted Stock . .. .
    What are we doing wrong?
I had assumed that changing the Item Category would remove the Sales Order Stock requirement and use normal Unrestricted.
    Thanks
    Hayley

    Hi,
In VOV4, has the standard item category been assigned under Manual Item Category column? If the value is assigned, then you can change the item category in sales order.

  • Make to Order - where is Sale Order Stock

    Hi All
I have a Configurable Product, say Book. The Customer places the Order say for 1000 Books but does not give the details of the Ship-to parties. The Order is taken into Production and the Ship-to particulars are available one day prior to the despatch. The requirement is that the User has to create multiple Ship-tos in 1 Sales Order (Costing, Wastage calculation etc., is done Sales Order-wise) and will enter the Quantities for the Ship-to parties only when he receives the despatch instructions from his Customer.
The Sales Order initially is created for 1000 Nos with no Ship-to Party being entered at the Item level (Item No: 10, Material # Book; the Classification editor contains the required Characterstics when the Order for 1000Nos is entered for the first time). The Order is produced and the Stock is available as Sale Order Stock for 1000 Nos. When the despatch details are received, the Ship-to parties are entered in the Sales Order {Sales Order entry will now look as: Item # 10, Book, 700 Nos for Ship-to # 1 and Item # 20, Book, 300 Nos for Ship-to # 2}. When the 2nd Line Item is entered in the Sales Order, the Classification Editor opens once again, though this is ignored and no values are set.
    Issue:
    a) Delivery could not be handled through VL10; it had to be done through VL01N.
Delivery could be created and PGI done for Ship-to # 1 only but unable to do PGI for 300 Nos for Ship-to # 2. The error I get is that there is no Sales Order Stock (1000 Nos have been produced initially and after doing PGI the balance of 300 Nos (meant for Ship-to # 2) is getting displayed in MMBE but is appearing as Item # 10. The Requirement Class is shown as KEM in the Sales Order.
    b) When the 2nd Line Item (Item # 20) is entered in the Sales Order, the Schedule Line shows about 7 days into the future although Sale Order Stock is available.
    Have I missed something?
    Regards
    Ramana ND

    Manoj
The so-called 2nd Line item is nothing but the same Material and this Quantityis already available in Sale Ordertock (part of 1000 Nos); this had to be shown as a 2nd Line Item coz there is a different Ship-to party. Btw... the requirement Class type in the Procurement Tab in VA01 for both the Line Items shows KEM...
My question is: why is the so-called 2nd Line Item is being treated separately? The Order is for 1000 Nos and all I am doing is splitting the Quantity between the 2 Ship-to.. The Sales OrderStock clearly shows 1000 Nos which I am not able to Ship-to #2 coz Item # 20 does not show Stock in MMBE ... Only Item # 10 has Stock of 3000 Nos ...

  • Goods valuation with sale order stock

use S price valuation material, goods have production order ,with sale order stock, when the produciton order have GR, the goods stock value do not use standard price for material accounting view, why ? what problem? use standard price valuation sale order stock is standard program for the SAP system ? this is very touchy problem.

make sure that for the final product manufactured in accounting view u have maintinaed the price contrlo indicator as S
and if still error comes then let me know system would be showing the  actual cost and planeed cost
if there is variance then system is goingto post that to the cost difference account

  • Valuated Sales order stock - Goods Receipt

    Greetings,
I am trying to better understand the concept of 'Valuated Sales order stock" and I read in the SAP documentation that:
"When you are using a valuated sales order stock, externally procured individual requirements materials are assigned to the sales order stock at the net order price at the time of the goods receipt"
But I find that in our SAP system, this is not the case. Externally procured materials are valued at whatever price they are costed in the sales order they are used.
I can have a PO whose net price is 5000 Euros for Material X but if that same Material X is costed at 8000 Euros in the Sales order to which is it used, the GR for Material X will be at 8000 Euros.
(the PO for Material X is assigned against the sales order).
Perhaps I am misunderstanding what is meant by "externally procured individual requirements materials"?
In the example above, material X is not the Finished Goods sold to customer through the Sales order. It is a component that is involved in the production of the FG.
It seems to me more logical that Material X value be based on the cost estimate computed in the sales order rather than on the PO Net price...
Thanks in advance for your valuable feedbacks!
    Best regards,
    Sylvain

    Hello Nikolas,
    Thanks for your answer.
Yes, we value our inventory at Std.
(Is this why the GR is valued at Sales order cost estimate and not Net Price?. SAP does not mention this in its documentation)
I understand your point but my argument is based on the fact that if a purchased material (Material X in my example) is received into stock at the Net Price value, then, there will be a mismatch between
    - the Cost Estimate of Material X in the Sales order (Material X will be valued at its Std there, based on our Costing variant)
    and
    - the value at which this Material X will be consumed in the Production process (since it will be at Net Price).
This would cause a Production variance to be recognized since the actual costs to produce the Finished good would be different from the Cost estimate of the Finished Good in the Sales order (and the cost estimate in the sales order determine the COGS of the Finished Goods in accounting).
The difference of 20 you mention is treated as a Purchase Price variance in our case. That PPV is assigned against the Sales order.
    Best regards,
    Sylvain

  • Non valuated sales order stock-help reqd

    Dear Experts,
My client is into Pipe coating business who receives the pipe from the customers, coats it as per there requirements and dispatches it thereon. There is no concept of FG here as its only the service he is doing on it and also when he receives the pipe there is no raw material cost on it. Raw materials for him would be chemicals etc which he uses to coat the pipe.
This is the case of NON Valuated sales order stock.
    1) non valuated GR will be done for customer stock -Only QTY update
    2) sales order bom will be created with defined characteristic.
    3) Plan cost of sales order will be updated based on Costing ID setting
4)Production order will be created based on Sales order.Good issue and Activity confirmation happen at Production order level but Good received only QTY but no value update.
5)Production order will be settled on sales order.Settlement profile of production order type must contain COST ELEMENT tick under settlement.
6)now my sales order contain actual cost of production.
7)No accounting document will be generated at PGI.
8)only accounting document will be generated at Billing.
9)Only COPA Document will be generated at Sales order settlement. I am going to create PA transfer structure in order to post COGM cost component wise.
    Mi missing something?
    Question
    1) Whether all steps are correct
    2) There  will be no standard cost release and no variance calculation as well.
3)How can i use RA under non valuated sales order stock?.
4)HOw can i use customer stock under sales order bom with non valuated value?
5)How i will do Production order GR Only qty update?
    regards
    RK

    Hi Raman
All steps are correct.. You seem to be an expert now!
THere wil be no Std cost release or variance calc
You can set up RA based on costs or Revenue... 1st of all check with your  client whether they would like to have any WIP in this case
you can receive the customer supplied pipe using 501E movement as Non val
GR - Only Qty Update is controlled by Req Class... You need to leave Valuation field BLanlk in Req CLass and choose Acct Assn Catg E

  • Moving average price not updatet when sales order stock

Sales order stock is ioncluded in calculating moving average (at goods receipt there is no new valuation type created)
It is okay with replenishment orders (regular stock)
I first thought it had to do with Spec. Stk Valuation indictator (but this one is set to 'M', which seems right for me.
Does anyone have a clue what I can do so my moving average value is also calculated based on sales order stock and not only regular stock?
    Kind Regards

Spl Stock Valution must be - A (not M) to valuate along with normal stock .
    Ensure following configuration is there
    1. create Requirement class in OVZG . Maintain required account assignment category under account assginment subscreen
    2. Create requirement type in OVZH . assign this req.class to req.type
3.Assign requirement type to sales item categories for which you need this VSO functionality
4.Goto SM30 and give table V_T459K_K ,mainatain ,for your requirement class under valuation field maintain M or A(put F1 for moreinfo)
5.Take SD consultant help to setup schedule line category(SC) for this item category ,it should have account assignemtnt category and PR order type - VOV6 and assign this SC to item category in VOV5
    6. Now create SO which will populate the above created item category (if not check with SD consul to populate the above item category)
7.convert the PR generated through above SO into PO
8.In PO under account assignment tab you could see BSX account and it must be greyout .
9.Do GR ,stock will be updated in MBBS report.
    it resolves your requirements
    check point in each transaction:
after SO ,check VBAP- KZBWS = M or A (which you have maintained in requirement class)
    PR from SO, EBAN-KZBWS =M or A and PO also will have EKPO-KZBWS = M or A

  • PO against valuated sales order stock posting to consumption account

    Hi All,
I am creating a PO with account assignment against valuated sales order stock. However the posting happens to consumption account (GBB) instead of the stock account (BSX). The following settings exist
    1. The material type is both quantity and value update
    2. The account assignment category used in PO is E which has special stock = E, account modifier = VKA and consumption posting = E
    3. The requirement class (in SD) has account assignment = E and valuation = M (even tried with A)
    4. The valuation class for valuated SO stock has been maintained in the accounting view
However the system picks up the account corresponding to GBB-VKA and not BSX. Can anyone point out any setting that may be mising here.
    Regards,
    Ketan

    Hi,
Maintain the consumption posting as blank against the account assignment used in PO in OME9 and test the scenario again.

  • Cost of Inventory for Special Stock- (Sales Order Stock)

    Dear All,
We manufactures "x" materail under Make to Stock and Make to Order Scenarios. We carried the standard cost estimate through CK11N and released through CK24N. There is a value of "X". Also we carried the sales order cost estimate that is value "Y". But we have observed the inventory value updated during confirmation of the production is at "Z" value. We have identified this Z value is the value of special stock previous periods.
I would like to know the procedure of valuation of inventory under scenarios
    Regards
    Anilkumar

    Hi,
    thanks for your info.
Can i say the changes will be done for those special stock.?
Actually my problem is related to a Return Sales order process where we need to change the MAP before DO and GI, otherwise the Material document would not capture the correct MAP during GI.
and the solution from the senior is select the variance "special stock -Sales order" and enter the sales doc# in MR21.
The problem that we are not yet having any special stock for this return Sales order, but this MR21 works for us and after that, the material document is able to capture the correct MAP.
Any idea what or where the MR21 is updating for the "Special Stock-Sales order" if we don't have any Sales order stock for the paticular sales document?

  • Pls explain sales order stock step by step with t-codes

    Hi friends,
can anybody explain the step by step procedure for configuring sales order stock.
Stock that is used for a sales order. It is directly allocated to a sales order. Components can only be used to produce material ordered by the customer and the finished product can only be delivered to the customer via the sales order.
The assigned accounts are debited and credited as a result of the valuated goods movements.
but i am not clear of how to map it into sap.kindly explain it step by step.

    thank you

  • Sales Order stock transfer between plants

    Hi,
I'm dealing with a problem in a folding cartons packaging industry.
Finished Goods are very specific and they are produced in plant "A" using Make-to-order scenario. After production the finished goods enters plant "A" as Special Sales Order Stock (Type E).
This stock is sold to end customer from plant "B", so in some point the special stock must be transfered from plant "A" to plant "B". Material is shipped so we need to have a delivery for this transfer.
Do you know any process/transaction to do this?
    Thank you,
    Sebastián Ligueros

    Hi,
You can try using t.code ME21 or ME21N.
Use document type UB- stock transport order.
Enter the supplying plant as (A) and receiving plant as B at line item.
In the line item(s), under account assignment category, enter value as C-sales order.
At the bottom line item details, in the account assignment tab, enter the sales order number. Then save the STO.
Create the delivery with respect to this STO using t.code VL10D. Do the PGI.
Receive the goods in plant B using transaction code MIGO. Select goods receipt and outbound delivery as criteria.

  • Product costing valuated sales order stock

    Hi all,
We are in complex mfg & currently re-vamping all the ERP SAP instances ( totalling 13 company codes into one single)
All 13 units( who use NON Valuated scenarios for cost object controlling) wil use valuated sales orders & projects. The old 13 companies will be trated as profit centers with transfer pricing functionality ( Multiple valuations)
My issue is to get a product cost for sales order in <b>profit center view</b> ( plan cost) exactly same as to the marked standard cost itemisation of the FERT material.
We mark & release the std cost in Jan & the client wants to have the same itemisation of the cost ( with same values) even if they create a sales order in 2nd or 3rd or last quarter. ( As you might be knowing that the sales order wil always cal;culate the values as per the current qty structure date. In Std SAP date control, there is nothing which allows us to cost exactly the same cost estimate as marked & released in JAn)
Could somebody pls give pointers as how to get this sales order plan cost itemisation exactly equal to prevously marked & released itemisation ?
We use the Std costing variant ( Costing Type = Profit center valuation) with Std date control.
Thanks in advance to all of you,
    Warm Regards
    Dhiraj

    Hi,
If the sales order stock is valuated, you have immediate access to its value in Financial Accounting. The assigned accounts are debited and credited as a result of the valuated goods movements. From the viewpoint of MRP, the sales order stock is available for the sales order only.
If the sales order stock is not valuated, it is managed via a cost collector. The system does not carry out invoice verification postings for goods movements, and you cannot obtain an overview of how the stock is valuated until the end of the settlement period in Controlling.
Valuated sales order stocks have the following advantages:
The full costs are available at each manufacturing level.
All goods movements are immediately reflected in Financial Accounting
    Assign points if helpful
