Sample payload to include multiple Data objects in BAM

Hi,
We are using BAM 12c in our project. We have a requirement to insert/update data into multiple data objects as part of an EMS [Enterprise Message Source] request. As part of the request, I have some Dimensions data and Fact data. When I submit the request to server, I need to insert dimensions data when there is no data available for the specific dimension key, otherwise update the dimension meta data. Then I need to insert Fact data in to another data object along with the reference of the dimension data.
From the Oracle documentation, https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/bam/BAMUG/bam-enterprise-message-src.htm#BAMUG10589 I found sample payload for one data object operations, under the text: Use Self-Described Payload.
Please share a sample payload to submit it to BAM so that data will be created in multiple configured BAM data objects in one EMS request.
Thanks in Advance.
Satya

Deepan:
Thank you for the fast response, the xml file you have given below will clear all the DO rows specified in that file.
+<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>+
+<OracleBAMCommands>+
+<Clear name="/folder/do1" />+
+<Clear name="/folder1/do2" />+
+</OracleBAMCommands>+
But in an organization in long run when data objects keep on increasing. should we also keep on adding the "Clear" statement into the xml file.
i.e. like to ask the developer to create an entry in this xml file each time he creates a data object in BAM console?
do we have any command like
<Clear type = "dataobject" all="1" />
Thanks you very much in advance

  • Report on multiple data objects

    I am not sure, I did this or not.. Is there a way to create a report on multiple data objects? My requirement is as follows
    Data_object_A
    Field1 Field2 Field3
    1 ABC 123
    2 DEF 456
    3 GHI 789
    Data_object_B
    Field1 Field2 Field3
    1 444 XYZ
    2 555 STU
    Over here I have a primary key and reference key as first column in the both data objects and I have to create a report by using equi-join..
    that means I have to create a report with data from these above two data objects as below
    select a.field1,a.field2,a.field3,b.field2,b.field3
    from Data_object_A a, Data_object_B b
    where a.field1=b.field2(+)

    I created a View on the database side to join the tables, and created a single data object on the view.

    - BAM adapter JNDI name : eis/bam/soap
    - in BATCH no cheked
    - data object path : /Samples/Monitor Express
    I have defined new data object in BAM --> Architect
    I have renamed the default data object template in BI_DEFAULT_MyProject_MyProcess (is BI_DEFAULT_businessIndicator_businessIndicator)
    I have added in layout my measurement; I have inserted in the bottom METRIC_myBI1, METRIC_myBI2, METRIC_myBI3 ( are METRIC_Segnalazione METRIC_nSegnalazioni METRIC_misura) of the same type indicated in BPM process
    I have create few istance of the process, but :

  • Unable to Multi Level Drill Down on Single Data Object in BAM Report

    Hi,
    We need to have multi level drill down in a BAM report.
    We are able to create single level drill down using 'Collapsed List' view in a Tiled Report, but unable to drill further.
    We are using BAM (11.1.1.2).
    Please let us know the steps to do this, your input is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Arijit

    Have you used Dimension? By defining Dimensions, you can create multi level drill down on the same data object, in the same report.
    1. Define the Dimension in the data object
    2. In the Studio, choose Drilling tab under the report
    3. Drill Hierarchies will be available. Choose the Dimension
    The drilling level will depend on the depth of the Dimension you have specified!

  • Does Crystal Report XI R2 comes with Crystal Data Object (CDO)

    Hi,
    Does anyone knows if installation of crystal reports include Crystal Data Object (CDO) ? From the article(http://www.dataaccess.com/kbasepublic/KBPrint.asp?ArticleID=2183) it seems like it doesn't comes with the standard installation package in Crystal Report XI R2. Please advise. Thanks =)
    Regards.

    You need to pick "Crystal Data Objects" from the list of Data Access options offered by Crystal Reports when you are installing it -- that item is not selected by default.
    To add that to your machine:
    - Open Add/Remove Programs
    - Select Crystal Reports 11 and click on the Change button
    - Expand the tree under "Data Access"
    - Select "Crystal Data Objects" and click on it
    - Select it to be installed -- you will probably need your Crystal Reports CD to proceed with the installation.

  • How to change Data Object

    Hi everyone,
    I m trying to change from one D.O. to another using the "Global Change Data Object" at BAM Active Studio, but when I find the D.O. wich I want to use the radio button its greyed out. I really need to change the D.O. and I dont see how to do it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mario Mesquita

    It will only let you change dataobjects if all the fields are identical to the reports current dataobject.

  • Delete a row from a data object using an AQ-driven EMS

    Hello, technetwork.
    I need to show the contents of a table that changes frequently (inserts, updates and deletes) at ORDBMS 10g in my BAM dashboard.
    What i have done is:
    - Create two different queue tables, queues.
    - Create two triggers: one for "AFTER insert or UPDATE" and the other for "BEFORE DELETE".
    - Create two EMS, one configured to Upsert operations and the other to Delete.
    - The Upsert EMS works, but the Delete EMS does not.
    - Both EMS Metrics say that they work fine and commit the messages i send to the ADC.
    - Testing showed records are populated and updated in the ADC but never deleted.
    There is a detailed user case for "Creating an EMS Against Oracle Streams AQ JMS Provider" in the Fusion Midleware Developer's Guide for SOA Suite, but it deals only with Upserts. I am using the last versions of SOA suite and Weblogic. The official support has no information either.
    I hope writing a web service client isn't the only way to delete a row from a data object. Am i missing something? Any help will be much appreciated.

    How to accomplish this using JavaScript?Using Javascript? Well, you know, Javascript runs at the client side and intercepts on the HTML DOM tree only. The JSF code is completely irrelevant. Open your JSF page in your favourite webbrowser and view the generated HTML source. Finally just base your Javascript function on it.

  • Error message is 'TYPE' is not a component of data object 'PAYLOAD'.

    Hello,
    I have sceanrio  where file->Synchronus bapi ->File.
    For this I have defined a  bpm.
    Text file inut will be read and converted using sender FCC.
    Bpm will call a synchronus bapi from r/3 and collect response. I need to create a success or error response file from the status of bapi response. I have used switch step to do that.
    But here when I give condtion as this XPath SOResonse./p1:Z_BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROM3.Response/RETURN1/TYPE = S, SXI_CACHE gives status of bpm as 99 and error message is 'TYPE' is not a component of data object 'PAYLOAD'.
    At the same time if i just put a condition of simple type container variable (SuccessCounter = 0), it  gives status 0 in SXI_CACHE.
    Pl can anyone suggest on this as its urgent.
    thanks in advance,
    Sharada

  • How to Include Warnings/Error messages in Return Service Data Object

    Hello All,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0, ADF BC. and want to publish Service-Enabled application modules, specifically I want to publish a custome method in the application module as a web service.
    While going through Enable support for Service Interface wizard as explained in developer guide, in step 7 I read this
    >
    7. To expose service information messages such as warnings and exceptions for a custom method or warnings for process operation methods, select Include Warnings in Return Service Data Object. For example, you might want display an informational message when a method returns the total employee compensation and the total is outside of the desired range.
    If Include Warnings is not selected, no informational messages will be returned with the service response. This option is only enabled when the method does not return a view row or a list
    of view rows. When the method returns view rows, the underlying view object determines whether the method supports warnings, as described Section 11.2.4, "How to Service-Enable Individual View Objects." The informational messages (and warnings) are reported as part of the return object. JDeveloper generates appropriate wrappers as the return objects, and the wrappers contain the actual method return and the informational messages.
    >
    I am interested in this part: For example, you might want display an informational message when a method returns the total employee compensation and the total is outside of the desired range.
    To do this, I write a method in the application module
    public Number getEmpSal(Number empId){
            EmployeesViewImpl employeesView1 = this.getEmployeesView1();
            //this is the bind variable setter
            employeesView1.setEmpId(empId);
            employeesView1.executeQuery();
            EmployeesViewRowImpl first = (EmployeesViewRowImpl)employeesView1.first();
           return first!=null ? first.getSalary() : null;
    }and I selected the Include Warnings in Return Service Data Object check box. but how and where can I expose the error or warning message?
    Note:
    I tried to throw an exception in the method
    public Number getEmpSal(Number empId){
            EmployeesViewImpl employeesView1 = this.getEmployeesView1();
            //this is the bind variable setter
            employeesView1.setEmpId(empId);
            employeesView1.executeQuery();
            EmployeesViewRowImpl first = (EmployeesViewRowImpl)employeesView1.first();
            if(first!=null && (first.getSalary()!=null || first.getSalary().compareTo(1000)==1))
                throw new JboException("out of range salary");
             return first!=null ? first.getSalary() : null;
    }and when I test the web service for some employee I get this response:
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <env:Header/>
         <env:Body>
              <env:Fault>
                   <faultcode>env:Server</faultcode>
                   <faultstring>out of range salary</faultstring>
                   <detail><tns:ServiceErrorMessage xmlns:tns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/svc/errors/" xmlns:xsi=      "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"><tns:code/><tns:message>out of range  salary</tns:message><tns:severity>SEVERITY_ERROR</tns:severity><tns:exceptionClassName>oracle.jbo.JboException</tns:exceptionClassName></tns:ServiceErrorMessage>
                   </detail>
              </env:Fault>
         </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>but is this the right approach or there is another place to show error/warning messages?

    This is fine if you raise exception from your code. It will be raised as a server fault only.

  • Mapping Multiple records from Db Adapter to the project data objects

    If the database adapter do a query to the database and return multiple records, how can I map those records to the data object? And If I want to iterate the records and each record to invoke a sub-process, what can I do?

    On the XSL file, I did the following
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <ns1:SetOfAccount>
    <xsl:for-each select="/ns0:RplanAccountCollection/ns0:RplanAccount">
    <ns1:accounts>
    <ns2:accountId>
    <xsl:value-of select="ns0:pkAcctId"/>
    </ns2:accountId>
    <ns2:accountName>
    <xsl:value-of select="ns0:ownerName"/>
    </ns2:accountName>
    </ns1:accounts>
    </xsl:for-each>
    </ns1:SetOfAccount>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    for each record which read back from the database adapter is rplanAccountCollection, rplanAccount, I tried to put the value onto the accounts arrays which has a type of account with account id and account name. But I dun think it is correct, please advice

  • POWL accessing data from multiple tables/objects

    Hello,
    I have a query on the POWL applications.
    If the powl application has to access data from multiple tables/objects, then the solution would be creating a data structure of those tables/objects and referring to that structure in GET_OBJECT_DEF methods.
    Is there any other soln? or I am right here?
    The queries which are saved for a particular user are transportable? if not, how can they be made transportable?
    Thanks & regards,
    Ravish

    you are right, you can do in get_objects method.
    POWL_QUERIES are transportab;e, you can save them in POWL_QUERY transaction.
    Best regards,
    Rohit

  • How to move multiple decision tables values into results data object

    Hi Carsten and other experts,
    I am building a BRF+ function and have a question, I would probably try to give an example to better explain the issue.
    1. Function Signature
    Context elements:  C1, C2, C3
    2. Ruleset has two decision tables DT1 and DT2.
    DT1 take C1, C2, C3 as inputs to provide C4 and C5.
    DT2 takes C5 takes as inputs to provide C6.
    What should be results data object for function to get C4,C5 and C6 as Function Output parameters?
    I have tried different combination of structures and table and couldn't figure out how it behaves.
    Thank you
    Kris

    The function gets a result structure with components C4, C5, C6.
    In a ruleset assigned to the function you have a rules that calls the two decision tables DT1/2.
    Create a structure for DT1 with C4 and C5 as components. Make the structure the result of your decision table.
    DT2 has C6 as a result.

  • Extending DataFinder to include Non-Data Entries and Relationships Between Entries

    I am trying to create custom data centralization and management software for our lab with DataFinder Toolkit.  In addition to storing data from data acquisitions, I want to be able to store additional information with the data such as images, pdf files, word documents that can be easily accessed after finding the data.  My current idea is to handle external files by storing the filepath in a property of an object vs trying to store the data itself in the datafinder database.  My code would know how to open these files so the user can see them with external software or a custom labview app.
    I also want to be able to store non-data objects such as an object that describes a piece of test equipment or a sample through properties and external files.  Images and documents are again important here.  And then create relationships through unique barcoded IDs that are a property in the datafinder entry.  So not only could I look at the data, I could find information about the samples and lab equipment. Or anything else we think needs to be saved.
    The code I am writing around DataFinder would be in charge of maintaining the unique IDs and know how the relationships between those IDs work to generate the proper queries. Like a 'Get Test Equipment Used' button next to a search result.
    For the external non-data objects I was going to use Labview code to create a file with all the information about the object (unique ID, properties and external file paths) and create a plug-in so the datafinder will index the file and make it searchable.
    Does this seem reasonable? I like the idea of working with one system and having everything update based on adding, deleting and modifying files in a folder. Also, I like the idea of not splitting the data management up into multiple technologies and having to make those work together.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    From the description, you've given the system seems plausible. The non-data elements you discussed when broken down are just additional data to associate with an object.  Storing file paths seems plausible as done in the community example below:

  • Reusing Human Tasks across BPM Processes with different Data Objects

    Hi
    JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, WLS 10.3.6, SOA/BPM 11.1.1.6
    I have defined 2 BPM Processes, P1 and P2, which has 2 different Process Data Objects O1 and O2.
    But I am reusing the same Human Task in both the processes.
    For the Human Task to support the activities in both the processes, I have added O1 and O2 Data Objects in the Human Task Definition.
    And hence the ADF Taskflow / page generated out of the Human Task will have both the Data Objects O1 and O2 as payload objects in the Page.
    When an instance of Process P1 is created, the payload O1 will have values, but O2 will be null.
    And when an instance of Process P2 is created, the payload O2 will have values, but O1 will be null.
    It works well like this, but I am a bit concerned about the performance from BPM Process and also ADF page.
    In ADF page, let us say, somehow I can control the rendering of the attributes or creation of the iterator bindings based on identifying which process is being executed.
    (By setting the iterator binding refresh property in page definition)
    In this way attribute bindings for O1 will not be created when P2 is being executed.
    But still when the Process instance is created, and when we see the payload structure of the human task in the EM - Audit Trail,
    I still see both data objects O1 and O2 are created in the Payload, but O1 will have nulls in process P2.
    So my question is, from performance point of view, is it advisable to define different Data Objects in reusable Human tasks ?
    Or should I have to define a separate Human Task definition which contains only the Data Objects related to the process it is being called from ?
    Thanks for any help
    Sameer

    Martijn,
    You are correct in your assessment that the JAG in the current JHeadstart release cannot cope with multiple bc4j packages. There is no work around for this. Upgrading to 9051 will not help.
    In the JHeadstart-ADF release, this restriction has been lifted. You can place your EO, VO and AM objects in different packages, and you can group them in a separate project (Model project), while generating your JHeadstart application in a ViewController project.
    We have a number of customers that use the latest JHeadstart-ADF builds to build their ADF apps. If you are interested in joining this beta program, please send an e-mail to [email protected]
