Samsung continuum ticker not working

i just got the samsung continuum today, and the ticker won't work consistently. it will work like, every 5 hours, then go away. can someone help me? i have it set up for twitter, facebook, and some newsfeeds, my gmail...i already made sure the correct things were checked off on the "ticker settings" in the "settings" tab.

First, check the ticker sleep time to see if that is enabled and for what time periods. Also, if you have any task killers, either remove them or make sure the RSS News feed is on the ignore list.
Also, here is a link to verify some of the Ticker settings. Lastly, try clearing the cache from the the ticker by going to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>RSS News Feed>Clear data/cache. If this isn't found in RSS News Feed, it should be listed under Ticker.

Samsung ST1000 GeoTag not working

iphoto 11 is depicting the pictures I upload from my Samsung ST1000 in the wrong location. The actual geotag on the pic is correct. I've verified that in two different ways.
I then upload a pic from my LG Rumor Touch Cell phone and the location is correct in iPhoto 11. I thought it was my Samsung camera I was having issues with until I used another program to view the pic, the the location was correct. I've narrowed it down to iPhoto 11 is the problem. I've also downloaded the bug fix from Apple and it's still not working. From all the articles I'm reading about iPhoto11, and all the bugs, including my own, I'm very disappointed.

Ipad airplay (mirroring) via apple tv on samsung tv does not work at all

I try to mirror my ipad (version 3) with the latest IOS via apple tv (version 2, latest IOS) on to a samsung tv. It doens't work. Although i'm able to select airplay on my ipad it won't show on the samsung tv. Apple TV is working, i can watch movies etc. I tried all the things i found on google, like renaming the HDMI Input to PC etc.
Any suggestions?

doesn't solve my problem. As i mentioned, i have IPAD Vers. 2 with the latest IOS, Apple TV 2 with the latest IOS. Apple TV is working just fine on the samsung TV, IPAD shows Airplay sign, which i can select, but there is neither sound nor video ( it doesn't matter if i start playback before i select Airplay or not...does not work) Note: i have as well a beamer at home, when i connect apple tv with the amplifier, everything works just fine, Airplay with IPAD, IPHONE, MacBook....Just not with the freaking Samsung TV...

HDMI output to Samsung monitor is not working

I have my HP pavilion laptop 11.6 inch, recently bought a samsung monitor SA300 to connect to my laptop. The samsung monitor does not have HDMI provision.So i bought a HDMI to VGA converter and tried connecting the laptop and monitor , the message in the monitor displays "No Signal".
As i have changed the setting in MOnitor to PC, even i tried Fn+ all keys , but its not working.
Please help me on this. Do i need to install any driver for HDMI in laptop???

Samsung P400 Projector not working with mini-DVI to VGA

I've never had so many hardware problems with a computer before... sigh.
Why they labeled a 100-240v 50/60Hz power supply with a sticker that says 100-120V 60Hz is beyond me (Sony did the same with their original US PS3s but that's another tale). Anyways, here's my issue.
I just bought the new 2009 Mac Mini along with a Samsung P400 Projector. This is one of those new pocket type with the LED bulbs.
The Samsung P400 has a native resolution of 800x600 60Hz and can accept analog composite or VGA video signals.
So, in my blind belief that Apple would sell me the correct adapter to go from mini-DVI to VGA, I went and I purchased said adapter. And lo and behold, it doesn't work.
Now, I'm a computer guy, I've built my own systems. I know the difference between analog and digital, DVI-I and DVI-D, etc. So, when I read the specs on my merchandise and they all use the same connection labels DVI, mini-DVI, VGA, etc. it really irks me to find that they are all incompatible with each other. I don't understand how this is supposed to help the customer. It's ridiculous. Apple is supposed to be user friendly but this is downright evil.
But, I've invested over a thousand dollars in this venture and I want it to work. *SO, before I go and run out and spend another $30 on a mini-DisplayPort to VGA adapter, can anyone tell me if it will work with my projector????*

But I had just figured out a solution today. I guessed that the resolution wasn't holding when I switched monitors so I went and picked up a mini-DisplayPort adapter to run the monitor along side the projector at the same. This way I could see what was going on.
Turns out that projector was automatically being set to 1600x1200. I changed the resolution to a lower one and it was fixed. Of course, when I tried to switch back to the mini-DVI to VGA adapter, OS X forgot the settings again and I had to redo everything.
I'll try your solution as well but for now, I think I am okay. I will just use the mini-DisplayPort to VGA and not unplug the projector unless I really have to.
I'll test your solution just in case I need to reset the resolution again.

Samsung External Drive Not Working After Upgrade to 10.9

Hi,
I upgraded to Mavericks (10.9) on Friday and now my external drive does not show up when I connect it to my Macbook Air (2GHz Intel Core i7, 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3).
My external drive is a 1 TB Samsung S2 Portable Drive.
I am attaching how it appears in Disk Utility now.
Please please can you help me? I'm nervous that I have lost all my personal data.

The drive may have some software on it that is incompatible with Mavericks. Not your files that are on the drive, but something from the manufacturer of the drive.
There may be some software on your mac, also from the drive manufacturer, that is usually used for accessing the drive, and this may be incompatible with Mavericks.
Or your drive may just have taken a very inopportune time to die.
I'd try:
a different USB or firewire cable
It would help to give us more information about your computer. If you can, use EtreCheck Etresoft: EtreCheck to generate a system report and paste it in a response here.
Try a safe boot (restart, hold down shift until you see the Apple logo). Then try to mount the drive. If this works, then you know the problem is with some 3rd party software on your mac, probably some utility from the drive manufacturer. Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
TechTool may be able to repair the drive so that you could mount it. Techtool Pro 7
Look on the drive manufacturer's website for an update to the software.
If you have another computer with Mountain Lion on it, perhaps you can use this computer to copy the files, then erase the drive, and then put the files back, without the incompatible software.
Maybe the drive will mount in target mode on your mac or another mac, and you could transfer the files. How to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode

IOS 8.1 printing to samsung printer still not working.

ios 8.1 still rubish it has rendered my new Samsung printer useless worked fine with iOS 7. I only have iPad and iPhone in the house So now have no way to print.
ipad can see printer waits a while with this on the screenthen this disappears and my printer initialises.
Apple get your act together.

Please try the following, it has worked for us
Turn off WiFi
Hard reset the phone with power button and home button held at the same time until Apple logo appears.
Turn WiFi back on
If this does not correct the issue, I would take to Apple store as it sounds like a defective phone.

Samsung Note3 alarm not working properly

This is the second Note3 I've had, the first was replaced after the KitKat 4.4.2 practically destroyed the phone, and I have several alarms set up on the phone. For a long time, they worked exactly as I had set them up, then the morning wake up alarm decided to revert back to a previous time I had set it up for weeks earlier. I had since changed it, it was working find, then one morning I was woken up 30 minutes before I had set it up for. I changed it back, selected 'done' then 'save'... then showed it to my husband, "See that it says 5:20am?" Just so I knew my eyes weren't fooling me, and it did it again. In the middle of the night changed back to 4:55am.
Also, one of the alarms for a weekly medication, that never changes, just decides to turn off completely.
This is not making me like this phone. Has anyone else had this trouble?

When I press the space bar, it shows the printed page turning over to a whole new page, so I'm assuming it is still single sided printing.
I contacted Samsung, and now I'm waiting on them to get back to me with a response to whether or not it is a known issue (they had to forward the case to another department).

Probook 650 & Samsung 840 EVO - not working!

Hi,
I just received my brandnew Probook 650 with a 128 GB SSD (which appears to be aMicron/Crucial one).
Now I wanted to replace the SSD with a new 500 GB Samsung 840 EVO, but the laptop does not recognize it?
(The SSD is working on a SATA-to-USB connector, so it should be OK)
Are there any known imcompatibilities for this combination?
The laptops BIOS version is L77 01.02 and seems to be the most recent one...

It is always a good idea to check to see which type of disks work with the chip set your notebook has before purchasing a hard disk or SSD.
Upgrading the BIOS will not have an effect on the type of hard drives or SSDs that work with your notebook. That happens to be chipset specific. There is a chip integrated into in the system board that determines what will work with your notebook and what will not. The next time you are considering a hardware upgrade, read the HP 650 Maintenance & Service Guide first. It does not matter which brand of notebook of desktop (motherboard) you have. If you don't do the research first,it will almost always come back to bite you. The manual says that a SATA-3 hard disk should have worked. Yours might need an upgrade to the firmware. Check at Samsung. Use the Magician software to upgrade the firmware.

Samsung S4 Will not work with ANGOLA (UNITEL) SIM Card

I have a Verizon Galaxy S4 that I cannot get to work with a local SIM card in ANGOLA. I was told my phone would work with an overseas sim card. I need HELP. My phone will not use an ANGOLA UNITEL sim card for data. I believe my phone is still locked. What can be done??? HELP

APN is what has to be changed. APN stands for Access Point Name.
If you search for Angola UNITEL APN you will find several sites on line with the correct information you need to enter.
You enter the details under more networks in the settings menu, just keep digging until you find APN.
You do not need a rooted phone and all global phones are already unlocked.
It is very easy to do and should not have been difficult but it was. Now that I know how, I hope others with similar problems will find this posting

TS2755 AT&T iPhone 5 to T-Mobile Samsung G3 MMS not working.

We can both receive and send picture messages from most everyone else, but not to each other.
We both have current software, have restarted our devices, etc. this has been happening for a month, and seemed to have begun since I switched from the iPhone 4 to my new 5.
Again, picture messaging works from me to anyone else I have tried - even people off AT&T and people without iPhones.
I am not sure who else I know is on tmobile or who else I know has an SG3.

No. Restoring it from your backup won't overwrite anything carrier specific.
I had AT&T; great coverage inside and outside of my office building. I do have good coverage at home.
I unlocked (not jailbroke) my phone and switched to T-Mobile. Now I get No Service even in my parking lot at work. T-Mobile shows the area as excellent and being within a mile of 3 different towers.
Did you try putting an AT&T SIM back in it and see what your coverage is like? Your experience pretty much jives with my personal experience of T-Mobile, which is, their service and coverage are lousy... And that's being generous.

Samsung Stratosphere camera not working

After a year of taking pictures with this phone I now only get a black screen telling me to insert a memory card. I do not even see a slot to insert a card. Why would I suddenly need a card? Any advice would be appreciated,

Samsung Integrated Camera not working with Skype

Hi,
I have a Samsung ES7000 series TV with an integrated camera. When using the Skype app, this initially works for approximately 1 minute but then a message appears on the TV saying “Connecting USB Camera and Mic”. This results in getting disconnected from the video call.
I have contacted Samsung on a number of occasions and after performing a number of checks without success to fix the problem, they suggested that this is probably a Skype app issue and I should contact Skype.
Could you please help resolve this issue?

Did you have a software upgrade for TV?
At that time, did you unplug the power cable by force?
I recommend "please do a upgrade software of TV"
The upgrade is through the Network.
You can see the upgrade button at "Main Menu --> Support --> Software Upgrade --> Online".
IMPORTANT.
After upgrading TV, it will be automatically reboot.
Please, Don't power off until finishing upgrade by force.
