I am new to SAP HR ABAP Programming.. Here I need to develop a Expenses claim form( ESS)
I require a custom report to get the employee details in form and they can fill their travel expenses and other expenses manually in the form and that should be send to manager for approval.
I don't know from which Infotype I can get these details for the specific employee who are logged in to ESS, what are the Function Modules and which workflow process we can use for the approval ...Etc
I am providing detail form below please give me some information about the report and workflow..

Hi guys, I have the following scenario:
Today, I have an abap program that calls a RFC to update a database outside SAP using Business Connector.
The problem is that I won't be allowed to use Business Conncetor (and can't use XI too) to access the outside database (SQL Server 05).
Is possible to update the SQL Server 05 from an Abap program without a Java based connector? Because my main problem is that I can't use Java...

Reg: SAP Scripts abap program

Hi experts,
               i have requirement in QM report i need to show some additional fields in print out ,
here i know the form name but i don't no from which program in SAP Script form fetching values can any one suggest how to find out programs for SAP script form.
    i know inside of SAP script we can c perform action but in my case there is no perform action written in script,
they are directly using call function open form in pgm .

Your question is not very clear....
but if you want to Spell out a Number (Amount in your case) you can use the function Module
CALL FUNCTION 'SPELL_AMOUNT'

Crystal Report on SAP R/3 ABAP Program or Transaction Code

Hi Experts,
I am working on SAP BI, my current requirement is to develop a dashboard. Client given the list of reports and they want to see these reports as a dashboard in BO. All these reports are SAP R/3 ABAP Programs. My doubt here is, is it possible to connect directly or bring directly a ABAP program in crystal reports. I know that form crystal reports we can connect to SAP R/3 through SAP Table, Cluster , Function Modules and so on.
Anyone please clarify this doubt.

Queries related to ABAP Programs migration to SAP ECC 6.0

We are planning to re-implement SAP using SAP ECC 6.0 We are currently using SAP R3 Version 4.7
Regarding migration of existing ABAP Programs and data, I have some queries which may kindly be answered by any of the experts of this forum.
1. I have heard that SAP ECC 6.0 or SAP Netweaver 7.0 will never support BDC programs. To upload data into SAP, BAPI is the preferred option. Is that true?
2. In ABAP Programming, relational operator < (less than), > (greater than), <= (less than or equal to) etc are not supported by SAP Netweaver 7.0. In stead, operator contants LT, GT, LE etc must be used. Other wise, SAP reports syntax error. Is thar true?
3. Screens (Dynpros) have been fully programmed in ABAP Objects in almost all programs related to functional modules (SD,MM,PP,FI/CO etc) in SAP ECC 6.0. Is that true?
4. Programs written in SAP R/3 Version 4.7 will report syntax errors when that program is compiled as it is in SAP Netweaver. Is that true?
I request you to kindly reply for these four queries at the earliest.

SAP ECC6.0 will be supporting BDC programs too.But ,apart from this there are other options like LSMW ,BAPI, ECATT tool
which serves the same purpose . It doesnot mean that SAP wont support BDC.
Coming to relational operators u can use both of them but preferred is operator contants LT, GT, LE.
If there are any obsolete statements or any Obsolete function modules used in version4.7 U will get syntax errors or unicode errors.

ABAP Programming Error with SAP HR IMG

Hi,
I am new to this site and I have a question. Recently, I had the "Vanilla SAP System" installed on a harddrive for my laptop. I am studying for the SAP HR Consultant Certification.
However, the system doesn't have the training DB and I have to start with implementing a project through the IMG. Yesterday, I received an error message (below) when I go to the application component sectin to add on Pers. Administration, Countries, etc).
Can anyone direct me to someone in Atlanta that may be able to take a look at this for me?
I was working on my computer and I get to a certain point in my customizing activity and I get this error msg:
Runtime errors RFCGUI_unexpected_data
The termination occurred in the ABAP program SAPMSSYO in %_CTL_OUTPUT
The main program was SAPLS_IMG_TOOL_5
The termination occurred in line 30 of the source code of the (Include) program <SYSINI> of the source code of program <SYSINI> (when calling the editor 300)
There is more to the error message and I would have to perform the activity to let the person see the message. Not unless they can tell what's wrong by the error above.

if the transactions are custom one, then you can do some work around.
But i dont know how you will do it for standard ones.
Aa far as i know this requiorement has a least possibility.

Declarations in SAP QUERY generated ABAP Programs

hi,
i had created a ABAP Program through ABAP Query (SQ01,SQ02,SQ03) but i have a issue that when i transport it to the PRD server i got the run time error. The Z program which i had created is the copy of the SQ01 generated program and i had done all the includes declarations in this program. but there is a problem that it is consist of the declarations of the structures,quries .
I want to know is it necessary to always transport the Infoset and user group and the structure which is present in the program generated .
Please provide me guidelines for this problem .

i had copied the program bcoz i want to chekc that it is really necessary to transport the user group and infoset so that it can achieve functionality similar to the SAP QUERY.
is there any other way without whichi can ahieve the functionality of SAP QUERY generated program and take it into the ABAP Porgram?

How to create a table in MS ACCESS database and Upload SAP database table data into MS ACCESS table using ABAP programming?

It is not possible to create tables in a non SAP schema from inside SAP.
The SAP-Oracle license also does not allow you to create the table (see note 581312):
the following actions, among other things, are therefore forbidden at database level:
Creating database users
Creating database segments
Querying/changing/creating data in the database
Using ODBC or other SAP external access methods

If you are using Access 97, you can download directly into an access
database from SAP. See program RIACCESS for details. You have to establish
an RFC destination PS_ACCESS_1 and 2.
There are then a couple of function modules. Go to SE37 and put in

For the MS-Access interface SAP delivers 4 files:
WDPSASTR.EXE This is an RFC server program that is called by SAP R/3
(PS module). This program creates a MS Access database. The structure

Add Voting buttons in MS Outlook from SAP ABAP program

I have a requirment where SAP ABAP program will send an email.
I need to have the voting buttons (yes/no) in the email. It does not have to be in the content of the email but the typically voting buttons that we can add to the MS Outlook email.

How do I open an ABAP program from SAP in Eclipse?

Sorry for the newbie question but I've only ever used SE80, but I saw eclipse, liked it, installed it (based on the ADT Installation guide) but now I'm stuck. How do I connect Eclipse to an SAP instance so that I can view and amend ABAP programs?

if you installed everything correct, you have to create a new ABAP-Project. This links your sap-logon with eclipse and you are able to connect to a system if everything is fine...

Startrfc - SAP utility to invoke ABAP programs from External systems

We have used the startrfc uitlity that comes along with the SAP Presentation CD. This is bundled with the SAP RFC SDK kit. The startrfc utility can be used to invoke ABAP programs from external systems or servers.
When using the startrfc from the SAP server using the parameters
startrfc -h 10.60.0.31 -s 01 -c 100 -u USERNAME -p PASS -F <Function Module> -E TPPARAM=\usr\sap\trans\bin\tp_domain_<SID>.PFL -T LIST,300,w=list.txt
the desired results are achieved.
However when using the same startrfc with the exact parameters from another server we get the message " Incorrect user or password". If we use the SAP GUI from this server to connect to the SAP server using the same username and password we are able to connect to the SAP system.
Has anyone encountered any similar issues with Startrfc? Any suggestion will be appreciated.
