Sapms SID 3600/tcp problem

Hi All,
I got SAP dump "START_CALL_SICK" while working on SAP server suddeny, and found entry sapms<SID> 3600/tcp not present in services file. this happened eariler also, I added sapms<SID> 3600/tcp manullay, then it worked fine.
Could any body tell me what could be the problem.

I think you should ask your system administrators. In some places they distribute a central copy of services file on a regular basis. If so, you might want to ask them to include sapms<SID>.

TCP problem/feature

I am looking into a potential TCP problem I have found during comms
testing in our system running HP-UX 10.20. The problem is as much a
problem as it is a feature. This is how it happens:
* Client and server establish TCP connection. netstat -a shows state
as ESTABLISHED.
* Server side shuts down. TCP layer sends FIN to client, client sends
ACK back. State changes to FIN_WAIT_2.
* Client PC crashes never closing connection properly (normally it
sends FIN to which server replies ACK and state goes to CLOSED)
* Server computer keeps connection in the FIN_WAIT_2 indefinitely
tying up the server well-know port.
* Server cannot re-start, error "port already in use."
The TCP protocol allows for this situation. Now, HP, in
violation of the protocol (same as some other TCP Berkeley implementations),
has a way to have FIN_WAIT_2 states timeout. The way they do it is by
zapping kernel memory with adb to turn the timeout mechanism on and set the
timeout value. They do this with a shell script. If you want this timeout
to be a permanent feature you have to have it execute each time you reboot.
Our Forte application is TCP based, since given the right sequence
of events this scenario can happen to anyone, I wonder how Forte deals with
it and whether it can present a problem.

I created two parallel loops as you said...it works fine but one problem is there....as I said two parallel while loops are there with separate stop button...so when I start vi both are starting.... when I stop the my other code while loop it stops but my tcp vi does not stop even I stop the button because it is in the forever state...so it does not reach that button until the client initiate for once atleast....I just want to exit this forever state from server side.whenever server wants...
how to terminate that forever state from tcp listen vi?

IDES on Network service 'sapms SID ' unknown

Dear All,
I have installed IDES ECC 6.0 on win2003R2 server , then i installed SAP GUI on the same system its working fine,
when i m trying to configure SAP GUI on other machine to acces the same IDES ERP 2005, its dectecting the SAP System its giving me an error:

SAP SNC Server Side Trust Setup Problems

Single Server BOE instalation of BOE 3.1 SP4 to Windows 2008 R2 machine
Sap version 720 Patch level 7
We have used kbase article 1500150 and 1396213 to run thorugh the configuration and testing and all has checked out.
We are unable to have the "roles" returned when any "DN" value is entered in the SNC name entry in the entitlement systems tab.
We have turned on RFC tracing and have run the JCO test The RFC trace file is below followed by the JCO test information. JCO test was run twice, once with each DN just to make sure.

The error in the logs: u201CNo credentials found for this name (not logged on)u201Du201D usually is a problem with case.
We used the sapgenpse get_my_name command and found that the id being referenced was being pulled incorrectly with wrong case.
The problem was the ID we logged into the remote sesison into the windows server with.
That ID is the ID that the commands are run under.
The sapgenpse seclogin u2013p BOESERVER.pse command takes the ID of the user you are logged into the session with.
We re-ran the command when logged in with the user with the correct case and it worked

Server-Side stream play problem

Hello,
I have a problem, which I am trying to solve for many nights already without any success.
Everytime I try to switch or change a server-side stream, it starts lagging after 2 seconds of playing and sound disappears.
Here are scenarios that result in that terrible lag:
1. I create server-side playlist with stream.play() with reset=false; when it is time to play the next movie in the playlist, it starts lagging after 2 seconds.
2. The same problems appears when I just switch streams. I installed FMF Feature Explorer and tried to launch SwitchStreams sample application: the same problem - server stream starts lagging after I switch streams with stream.play().
I tried on different servers (local and remote), with different players (debug player of FMS Admin Console, Standard Flash videoplayer component, OSMF player, Flex video player). I also tried all possible flv, f4v and mp4 file compression options for video files - still the same problem.
I have also tried literally thousands of Application.xml settings: changing buffer, buffer ration etc.
Is there any tip where I should search for a solution?

Thank you for your reply.
But in my case the client is subscribed to a stream on the FMS. And that stream is switching video files and handling the playlist. So, I don't see any possibility to listen to onPlayStatus on a client-side, as my client is only playing live stream and has no clue what is happening on the server side.
Or I am wrong?

Side Bar Navigation problem

Hi All
I am using Side Bar Navigation in My Pages.The problem is Link names are Big.
So whe page renders along with Side Bar Navigation ,Link get Wrapped up and appears in two line which looks weard. I dont want this to happen.One Link should come in one line only.
Any Idea to how to control this??

Side panel latch problem

Hey guys,
Recently the latch that opens the side panel and releases the hard drives broke, fortunately the side panel came off but now randomly falls off because it does not lock back up. I still have AppleCare warrenty on the computer, is there anyway this can be fixed ?

You are not talking to Apple, Inc when you post here. We are all users like you.
Applecare is very comprehensive coverage. If you have Applecare, and your computer is not working as it should, Apple will fix it, whatever it takes, including repairing or replacing the enclosure, if that is what it takes.
If a store is nearby, you can make an appointment for a Genius to evaluate the situation, no charge. They can fix simple problems on the spot, but rarely have the time for a problems that may require substantial dis-assembly. If the repair is covered, it may take overnight or a few days to complete -- longer if they have to send it to a depot for major repair. It is prudent to make sure your backups are current before you turn over your Mac for repair, or include just a spare drive with Mac OS X and no personal files on it. You will be asked for an Admin password.

HP Color Laserjet 3600 Printing Problems with Airport Extreme & JetDirect

I have a HP Laserjet 3600n connected via ethernet cable to our Airport Extreme base station using the built-in JetDirect functionality of the printer. Prior to installing Snow Leopard we had no problems and every computer on the home network could see and print with full functionality on the printer.
After installing Snow Leopard, it took a while but I got the printer working again with the same setup. Then we had a power outage and the printer was no longer visible on the network or in the airport settings. Again it took a while but I once again got it to work. But now it seems like it keeps falling off the network and the printer itself either shows an IP address of 0.0.0.0 or another random one. The IP address should be generated by DHCP by the airport.
I don't know if this is a problem with Snow Leopard, the airport extreme, or the printer. The way I got it to work the last couple times no longer fixes the problem. Someone please help.

I don't know if this is related, but...
My MacBook Pro (Airport) has always been dicey connecting to an HP LaserJet 4000 on my wired LAN. Before Snow Leopard, I used AppleTalk rather than IP printing because it just worked.
But Snow Leopard doesn't support AppleTalk any more, so I reinstalled the printer to connect via JetDirect (which supposedly provides more features). When it works, it works fine. But very often I get a message that it can't connect to the printer. The only thing I've found that fixes the problem is power-cycling the printer, which somehow enables queued jobs to print. Needless to say, this gets old.
Is there some trick I'm missing?

With the 3600 if you have already tried removing the battery and leaving it out for a few minutes, there isn't anything else you can try yourself. It is time to send it to the Nokia Care Point.

Creative Inspire t7900 side, back center problem

My side speakers, back speakers and the center speaker give no sound. But when I test the speakers I can hear sound from front left,right,sub and also center. I Cant hear both side speakers and the two at the back. I can hear sound from the sub when I test the back speakers(not a sub sound a speaker sound comes out of the sub) help please

You might want to follow the instructions in this knowledge base article to check if the speakers are working properly. Click on Speaker and Headphones -> Testing Speaker Systems with a Portable Device.
This should help you narrow down which device is working properly, the sound card or the speakers. I won't be able to comment on the AD988B 7.1 high definition audio device because this is a third-party product. You should seek help from the respective company if you need help on troubleshooting the audio device.

TCP problem windows7

Hello, I am using Windows 7 for a Charting Software: Ensign.
I recently changed DSL provider and I am experiencing a problematic delay in TCP communication that prevents the charting software to work smoothly.
Is there anything I can do on the machine to improve connectivity parameters?
The connectivity works fine, it is just with this TCP connection that I am experiencing difficulties.

Upgrading distribution lists created in Ex2003 - any side-effects or problems elsewhere?

We migrated from Ex2003 to Ex2010 a couple of years ago.
I'm trying to change the name of a few old distribution lists in the EMC and I'm being prompted to "upgrade" them and warned that it's a one-way conversion.
I know this is needed and I know that it's necessary. My question is if the conversion will ONLY affect the lists, or if it will affect the members or some other part of the Exchange organisation in some way? I also read that it prevents anonymous users
(ie, Internet users) from mailing the upgraded lists by default.
Exchange 2010 latest service pack with Outlook 2010 clients. Single forest/domain. DAG-based implementation in two AD-sites.

From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
Upgrading the Exchange version of an object is a one-way-street. After you upgrade the Exchange version of this distribution group, it cannot be managed or downgraded to the Exchange 2003 level with the Exchange admin tools anymore. A user with an Exchange
2003 mailbox cannot modify the distribution group membership of an Exchange 2010 version distribution group.

TS1424 For the past two days the ITunes store says it is unable to process payments and to try again later - not like Apple to miss on sale opps. Is it my side with the problem?

For the past two days, i keep getting an error message on the i Tunes store that it can't process my payment and to come back later. Not Apple's MO to miss a sales opportunity. Anyone esle getting this message?
