Sapscript - displaying two text fields after truncating the spaces.

Hi Friends,
In a sapscript, I have to display the name of the vendor which is in two different fields each of length 40 chars. The first one may be filled to the maximum and the remaining goes into the second field and may occupy only 30 or 35 chars. I need to display the two side by side and the space available is 70 chars. I am using an existing script and I am not able to print the two side by side. It is going to the next line. How do I truncate the trailing spaces of either field. Please help. It is quite urgent.

Hi Bindu,
use the perform to concatenate name1 and name2 to NAME and use this field in address command.
Check with the following code:

I can't enter any value in the Text field, after loading flash files

Hi to all,
In my Java application, I'm using a text field and a panel to load flash files. I'm using JDIC 0.9.1 to load the flash files in the panel. The flash files are created by Flash CS4.
While running the application, I can't enter any value in the Text field, after minimize and maximize the application I can enter the values.
This problem happens after change the jre version from 1.6 to 1.7.
I'm getting the following exception while running the application.

Hi Phill,
You could use floating fields, where the inputs are hidden and bound to your incoming XML. In the visible {} fields, you can set one of these to bold. The advantage would be that the two displayed floating fields will flow depending on the content.

Comparing data in two text fields

I have two text boxes which compares the value in one text box with other. Assume Text Box 1 has value as 1234 and Text Box 2 has value 12345,123,12346. Now I will be greying out the text box 1 by applying rule as If Text Box 2 contains Text Box 1 then do
conditional formatting of greying out. In this scenario Textbox 2 doesn't contain the value of Text Box 1 how ever the condition turns out to be true and then greys out. Its takes 123 which is present in text box 2 and as it finds
relative match with 123(neglecting 4) it is returning true.
Text Box 2 value is obtained by concatenating several text box values with commas. I want to perform exact match and grey out if it contains. Is there a way I can grey out the text box 1 by comparing the value in text box 2 before and after comma of each
value in textbox.

I recommend to set the Text Box 2 value by concatenating values with commas like this: “value1,value2,valu3,” (with a comma after each value).
Then we can set the rule like this(Text2 for Text Box 2 field, Text1 for Text Box 1 field):

Using the required' option in the text field properties.
The 'help' manual describes the 'required' function as this: Required Forces the user to fill in the selected form field. If the user attempts to submit the form while a required field is blank, an error message appears and the empty required form field is highlighted.
My users ARE not submitting the form, they open the pdf, fill it out and print it. HOW can I, make a field "required', I don't want them to skip/leave blank specific fields. However, if I choose the box 'required' in the text field properties, and I begin filling out the form, I can just tab past that field that I've choose as 'required', and I do not get
prompt/error message or anything, it allows me to save, or print.
I WANT SOME TYPE OF message (similar to enter a company order form
off the web, where you can't continue without filling out 'required' fields).
Is there a step/option I am not doing?

Then you are going to have to write some JavaScirpt to be executed by the "Will Print" document action to check all the requried fields, either by name or by the 'required' property and handle the issue of the imcomplete fields. You will not be able to stop the print, but you could display and error field so the user knows the form is incomplete and the printed form also conatains this information.

How to create a group/list of check box variables for display in text field, in appended format

I need to identify a series of single-response checkbox variables and display the ones selected (as a group) in a text field in an appended (comma, space) format. Last week, you provided a great little script for a similar need using List Box (multiple response) variables. This time I need to know how to formally identify the checkbox variables and, I presume, use a similar script to display the results in a comma, space format.

Here's the script adapted to this situation. It assumes there are ten check boxes named cb1, cb1, cb2, ...cb10.

How to display a text field if yes selected in radio button

Does anyone know how to hide/show a text field based upon a
radio button selection? What I want to do is ask a question with
yes or no as radio buttons. Then, if the user selects "YES" I want
to display a required text field. If the user click no, there isn't

How to set "Display as Text" field with AJAX select list

thanks Denes for your posting. I'm trying to use the Denes Kubicek code to populate a "Display as Text" field. It works for Text Field (disabled), but not "Display as Text" field(saves state) . In my applciation I need to show this field only (not the disabled text box) when a select list value is changed. any ideas to modify the code below are appreciated.

this works fine on normal page, except page zero. I have the AJAX select list and "Display as Text" field on page zero. The "Display as Text" field doesn't show the the value when AJAX select is changed. I'm using similar code as used in my other APEX page on OTN site. I tired to display the gReturn value, just before calling "setDisplayOnlyNode" function in the code below and it's showing correct value, but fails to display the value in the APEX field on page zero. Any ideas are appreciated.

Using a text field as well as a display as text field on a form

I have a text field that a user will enter in an employee id and from there it will populate a display as text field with their first and last name. I am trying to accomplish this using a javascript process but can not get the name to display. This does work if i change the display as text field to a select list. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong? Thanks

Clearing text field after query

I have seen alot of old post on this but no answers, I am wondering if anyone knows how to accomplish clearing a text field after a query has been executed?
Example:
User types a query in the search field, clicks submit then the query is returned and the search field is empty again ready for the next query.

I tried that and I was getting "(null)" in the value of the column I queried.
This is what I came up with and it seems to be working. In the Page Definition click Edit Attributes and add this line to the On Load section:
onload="html_GetElement('PX_SEARCH').value=''; html_GetElement('PX_SEARCH').focus()"That will clear the field and focus the cursor in the same field so its ready for another query.

How do I get the results of 2 text fields and put the output into another ?

When you are using an object-oriented language, it is helpful if you consider what objects are responsible for what actions. Loose descriptions lead to confusion.

the results from a textarea?Assuming that your "text field" is a Swing text component (and not, say, an HTML text field) then it has a getText() method that returns the contents as a String. If you plan to multiply this by something then you'll want to convert it to an int or a double or maybe a BigInteger or a BigDecimal object. Are we on the right track here?

Payment medium - Text fields shifted to the left

Hello Experts,
after running the payment run, the payment media is created but the text fields that are written in the files are shifted to the left.
The files contains 4 text fields. In the first text field should be written the value LS_REF1 and in the second one the value LS_REF3
If LSREF1 is blanc, then the value of LS_REF3 is written in the first text field.
Is it possible to avoid that SAP shift the fields to the left? In the function module FKK_PAYM_DEDIUM_WRITE is used the FM FKK_DME_DETAILS_FILL, which shift the values.

In the respective field properties (double click the field node), goto Attributes tab. There you'll find a field 'Conv. function'. Press F4. You'll be presented with many functions. Scroll down and find functions starting with C. Select the one that best suits your needs. This is for maintaining the alignment within the field output.
If your problem is that REF1 field is skipped when there are no values and that's what is causing the alignment as REF3 is shifted to that extent, then you need REF1 field to output at any cost irrespective of any values are present. In this case, check the status filed in the same tab. The status field should be blank (standard).
You can also consider Target offset field. This will offset as many number of characters in the output field. You might have to play with these settings.

After hitting the space bar in Finder no Quicklook

On my Imac with OS 10.6.8 installed Quicklook stopped working completely. After hitting the space bar in Finder nothing happens at all. What could cause that problem?

Upgrading will NOT fix a problem. That needs to be resolved first to the point you have a stable system. I'd recommend doing a SMC and PRAM reset, if it doesn't work the first time you may have to do it 2-3x. Also restart in Safe Mode (hold down the shift key when you hear the startup gong and continue holding it until the progress bar appears).
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

How to place two text fields on the same line in adobe

I am trying to create a form on adobe and I would like to have two unique text fields on the same line. Is this posible?

If you are using FormsCentral it is, the fields can be placed "side by side" in a row. There is a "+" sign on the right side of the field that brings up a toolbar to add a field adjacent. You can also right click on a field and select "Insert beside", or you can "drag and drop" fields next to one another or to a new row.

PS - One note, if you are using the "desktop" application of FormsCentral that comes with Acroat Pro XI make sure the application is up to date by either using the "Help" - "Check for updates" menu item or by signing into the application so that you have the latest features including the side by side layout.

How do you auto populate a date in a different text field after someone digitally signs the PDF form?

I am trying to auto populate a date in a text box on the upper right hand corner of my document after someone digitally signs it. Is this possible? How do you do this?

Go to the Properties of the Digital Signature field and under the Signed tab enter this JS code, under the last option:

Of course, you can adjust the field name and the date format used in the script above.
