Sapscript or smartforms with DMS

I need to print DMS images by means of sapscripts or smartforms.
Do you know how?

Hi,
SAP allows normally .tif and .bmp images. You can upload images in SAP using SE78 transaction. The same can then be utilized in smartforms by creating a GRAPHIC node.
In sapscript you can use a command to include INCLUDE GRAPHIC.

Smartform with Cyrillic characters

I have a smartform with Russian characters that works fine when using the font courcyr, but when using timecyr I get '#' in place of the cyrillic characters. I have no problem using the timecyr with sapscript, but the only way I can print cyrillic characters in a smartform is with courcyr and I want to use timecyr. Do smartforms use a different set of fonts than sapscript? Any ideas?

The language of the sapscript might be russian and smartform is not translated to russian.
If you are using message control for printing, make sure the output issued in the language you are trying to print.

Issue in smartform with Chinese logon

Hello all,
I'm facing a strange issue in smartform with chinese logon in Quality server.
In quality server mail generates JUNK values in place of chinese texts in SOST.
In development server its working fine.
I checked through debugging in OTFDATA structure its taking Courier font by default.
While in my development server in ZH logon its taking CNSONG font.

Hello,
Please follow the rules to output PDF correctly for ZF/ZH language:
(1) workprocess need run under
 ZF/ZH language (logon with ZF/ZH or switch by set locale)
 codepage 8300/8400 (or compatible codepages)
(2) SAPScript need include ZF/ZH version. Please verify by:
 Go SE71->input SAPScript name, language key ZF/ZH -> display
(3) SAPScript need assign Chinese font for paragraph used to output
 Chinese character
(4) SAPScript need open with ZF/ZH language(OPEN_FORM with ZF/ZH language)

The form type is assigned when you create the application form and you cannot change it.

Truble with smartforms with word

Hello All.
i have a trouble with smartforms when I creat text , the smartforms open word page and the paragraph i was created within style did'nt show.

If you dont want MS word in your smartform text deactivate it in tcode:i18N
i18n customizing -->click on MS word as editor uncheck the checkbox of sapscripts and smartforms.
Then come back to your smartforms and then include your smartstyles in smartforms.
or
Incase if you want to include smartstyle in the smartforms.
Then output options tab include your smartstyle.

Hi,
SAP Scripts is the old tool and SMART Form is comparatively new tool to develop and print business documents.
SMART Forms are more GUI oreiented and you can do lot of things just by dragging and dropping. SAP Scripts are more code oreiented.Practically smartforms is easier to develop when compared with SAPscript.
Differences :
1. Sapscript is Client dependent Smartform is Client independent.
2. Multiple page formats are possible in smartforms which is not the case in SAPScripts.
3. It is possible to a smartform without MAIN Window.
4. Labels cannot be created in smartforms.
5. It is possible to have a smartform without a main window .
6. In sapscript we cannot write our own logic for printing where as in smartform, we can write our own logic for pritning
7. Sapscript requires a driver program (se38 program) and layout (se71 layout) where as Smartforms can be run independently without a driver program.
8. In sapscript we cannot design matrix like tables,having grid lines, but in smartforms, it is much possible to design tables, having grid lines, color etc. just like excel table.
9.Smartforms generates a function module when activated.

How can I know if a particular transaction supports SAPSCRIPT OR SMARTFORM ? What is the method to find it ?

I suggest you start with transaction SPRO. It is complex, but will give you the information you need.
In this case, do the following:
1) Run transaction SPRO
2) Press button "SAP Reference IMG"
3) navigate list as follows
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide
-> Quality Management
--> Quality Notifications
---> Notification Processing
> Print Control
> Define Shop Papers, Forms, Print Programs
4) This screen will show you if SAPscript or Smart Forms are used and which programs are used to drive them.
The details will vary by R/3 implementation, but this is where to look.
In general, exploring SPRO will get you to the code and forms underlying any printed document.

Error while using BAPIs that deals with DMS

Hi everybody,
We are developing a portal with Web Dynpro and trying to call from our java code BAPIs that deals with DMS:
BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 - to create a new DMS document and checkin an original.
CVAPI_DOC_CHECKIN - to checkin an original to an existing DMS document.
CVAPI_DOC_CHECKOUT - to checkout an original from the DMS.
While using other bapi's that deals with DMS but do not deals with originals (like creating a new document, retrieving metadata about documents and originals) we don't have any problem.
Only when trying to checkin or checkout originals we get the following message (from the DMS?): RFC_START_PROGRAM
the full message is: com.sap.aii.proxi.framework.core.BaseProxiException:RFC_START_PROGRAM error key:RFC_ERROR_PROGRAM.
does anybody knows the meaning of this message?
by the way - those BAPIs works well while called from the R/3. only when we call them from the portal we have this problem.

Use a SMATSTYLE for this purpose.in the smartstyle create a paragraph or character with underline atribute.Then call the smartstyle in the text.

DO you mean via the 'Object Linking' feature in DMS?
If yes, please ensure that the 'c-projects Elements' object has been selected for the particular document type in DC10.
Also, to view the attached DIR in c-projects, ensure that the RFC is established b/w c-projects and DMS.
Yes..you can,since c-Folders has functionality of maintaining public and private collaboration scenarios so c-Folders is being used to communicate between Suppliers and Vendors.
c-Folders is not like webDMS, it is a separate application for which the link can be created from portal itself.
In c-Folders user ID and password can be created which need not have any licenses.

I want to know, what is the SAP's recommendation in ECC 6.0, whether to use sapscripts or smartforms for the important form print outs like purchase order, quotation, GR, GI, invoice, delivery note.
I knew that in ECC 6.0, for some cases, there are both sapscript and smartforms available, for example Purchase order, Delivery note, invoice etc. In this case what is the SAP's recommendation? to use sapscripts or smartforms??
I heard that SAP does recommend.

Smartforms with shaded header

Hi all.
i have a probs in smartform.
i am created table in smartforms
with the table header i displayin values called sl.no, department .
& main area i have a lot of values.
now i want 2 shade the table header only.
i tryin 2 do that. but smartforms is sayin " box & shade cannot posible inside the table
i need to shade the header which contains sl.no , department , etc...

Do one thing go into the table, there select the header row (ie table painter of the line type header) then select the shading color what ever u want. first select the header row then only it will work fine. I hope this is useful for u.

Printing Smartform with Table data from PrintProgram

As data is coming from the print program in the table. Do the following procedure
1. In the form interface ---> Declare the internal table as same structure as in the print program. for ex: you r passing MARA table data then declare it as itab type table of mara.
2. In the window you want to create the table, right click > create> table.
3. Go to data tab give the internal table name and work area .
4. Now go to General tab-->Details.
5. Declare the line types.
6. Right click on header/main area/footer -->create table line.
7. Now give the line type which you want to use.
8. In the displayed columns>right click> create text node.
9. In the text node &mara-matnr&.
Procedure to create line type:
1. Double click on table
2. Go to table tab --> details
3. Give the table width (width you want to display on the screen should be less than or equal to the window width).
4. Line type --> Divide this into no of column you want to have in header/item.
Note: total length of all columns should be equal to the table width.
5.save.

Only you need SAP Integration Kit installed.
After installing successfully.
Create master BEx query. Go to Properties -->> Extended tab -- Allow external access to OLAP (Incase of BW3.x)
Create master BEx query. Go to Properties -->> Advanced tab -- Allow external access OLAP (BI7.0)
Now go to Universe Designer:
-->> Name Universe and Click on Connection -- New
-->> Connection parameter dailog box -- It prompt for many options like:
Authentication Mode:User/Pass or BO mappings or SSO
User Name:
Password:
Language:EN
Application Server: <SAP BI system details--IP address>
System ID:<SAP BI ID>
System No:<SAP BI NO>
Logon Group:(greyed out)
Message Server:(greyed out)
-- Click on Next
-- Here, you can see all OLAP cubes ($Infocubes) and Folders for BEx query based/Multiproviders.
-- Select the required one.
-- Click Next -- Next -- FINISH
OK
Now you can see lict of *Classes and Objects* and not Universe structure as we are on SAP BI system.
(In Universe Designer window)
Go to -- File -->> Export -- (Select any folder, where you have access)
Now, *logon to Infoview*:
-- Document list
-- New-->> New Web Intelligence Document
It will list out all Universe those are exist in repository.
Choose the exported one.
Now you are in *Web Intelligence Report panel*.
-- Drag any objects like Dimension/Detail or Measure to Result Objects pane (to see them in Report)
or
Drag them to Query Filters section to restrict the data.
--Click on Run Query
-- Now Report you can see.
If you want to create Report 2:
Just Right click on Report1 and say Duplicate or New Report.
