Short text
The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records.
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "GP4G94DANQ8OS4VDXW3RMPR1QTP" had to be terminated
because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
in
procedure "WRITE_ICFACT" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
the database and that record already exists with the same key,
this results in a termination.
(With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)
How to correct the error
Use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert only if you are sure that none of
the records passed already exists in the database.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB"
"GP4G94DANQ8OS4VDXW3RMPR1QTP" or "GP4G94DANQ8OS4VDXW3RMPR1QTP"
"WRITE_ICFACT"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within proedure
"WRITE_ICFACT" "(FORM)", or its possible occurrence must be declared in the
RAISING clause of the procedure.
To prevent the exception, note the following:
Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "GP4G94DANQ8OS4VDXW3RMPR1QTP" - in
"WRITE_ICFACT".
The main program was "SAPMSSY1 ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 5062
of the (Include) program "GP4G94DANQ8OS4VDXW3RMPR1QTP".
The termination is caused because exception "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB" occurred in
procedure "WRITE_ICFACT" "(FORM)", but it was neither handled locally nor
declared
in the RAISING clause of its signature.
The procedure is in program "GP4G94DANQ8OS4VDXW3RMPR1QTP "; its source code
begins in line
5028 of the (Include program "GP4G94DANQ8OS4VDXW3RMPR1QTP ".

Hi Experts,
I have an issue when tried to update the reason for rejection for a particular line item.
When updated the reason for rejection..and press save ,system prompts to select the schedule line, when it is selected...program says update terminated..
With error as
"SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
"SAPLV45U" or "LV45UF0V"
"VBEP_BEARBEITEN"
Report-LV45UF0V
Row 257
Source code...
INSERT VBEP FROM TABLE DA_XVBEPI.
while debugging, it is not prompting to that Insert statement. In order to reach the debugger you have switch on update debugging that is first thing.
My question to you is have you implemented any code in sales order exits or some one else has done it.
Does it happen for all the different sales order..?
Please check whether in MV45AFZZ some code has been done in the sub routine like USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE etc
Please search on service.sap.com for the same dump
Most probably its the custom enhancement coded in a wrong way is the reason.

Hi Mates,
I am getting this error from past week and i went through google to check for specific sap notes.
But i am not able to find a specific note for my sap version.my SAP VERSION IS 7.40.
If anyone has a suitable answer for this please do reply.
Thanks&Regards,
Adarsh B JAdarsh,
Can you share few lines from the SID log from $SYBASE/ASE-15_0/install/SID.log and also the short dump output to get some clue.
Mean while let me try if i have something from my portal
I think this is due to inserting a duplicate record.
I can comment if this is a DB issue or you application issue based on the Short Dump and DB Server Error log which you provide.

SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC during saving of Process Chain
Dear all,
On saving, when adding a process to an existing Process Chain - like Rollup or Change Run - in our SCM 5.0 system, we receive a short dump 'SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC' (complete short dump at the end of the msg).
A problem arose on the line 'insert rsbatchparallel from table g_t_batch_par.' of include 'LRSBATCHF01'.
The version of this include is the same as all other systems in our environment.
In the table 'rsbatchparallel' we don't find any entry that can cause a duplicate entry.
We are really stuck with this issue - any help is highly appreciated!
Best regards,
Ingrid

SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC OBJECT_NUMBER_INSERT_VB
HI,
I am getting a short dump in ST22. The error is attached herewith:
Runtime Errors SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
Exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Date and Time 15.10.2009 14:47:15
Short text
The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records.
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLBOVB" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLBOVB" - in
"OBJECT_NUMBER_INSERT_VB".
The main program was "RSM13000 ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 17
of the (Include) program "LBOVBU02".
The program "SAPLBOVB" was started in the update system.
The termination is caused because exception "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB" occurred in
procedure "OBJECT_NUMBER_INSERT_VB" "(FUNCTION)", but it was neither handled
locally nor declared
in the RAISING clause of its signature.
The procedure is in program "SAPLBOVB "; its source code begins in line

Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
in
procedure "OBJECT_NUMBER_INSERT_VB" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a
RAISING clause.
"SAPLBOVB" or "LBOVBU02"
"OBJECT_NUMBER_INSERT_VB"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within proedure
"OBJECT_NUMBER_INSERT_VB" "(FUNCTION)", or its possible occurrence must be
declared in the
RAISING clause of the procedure.
To prevent the exception, note the following:
I can not find any relavant notes regarding this error. I have understood that is is getting short dump while updating a table. But not found a suitable solution to this problem
Please help me by suggesting a solution to this problem.
Thanks & Regards,
SandyThis is a standard duplicate key entry error. The unit of work being executed (identified by the primary key) has already been stored in the database. What transaction and process were being executed when it happened?

|Dear
this dump can have several reasons.
If you are on SCM7.0 and you have implemented the BADI solution of note 918542 , this can be the rootcause of the problem. The solution is covered in the standard on SCM7.0 and not neccessary anymore for this SCM release.
Due to the BADI, the system tries to create the products twice (in BADI and in standard) which leads to the SQL error. If this is you case could you please deimplement the BADI solution? You can process the queue afterwards which should go through without any error.
The problem can also happen due to a user exit e.g. EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001.

IHi,
This error due to that you are inserting duplicate records into DSO Key fields.
Check your record in PSA and remove duplicate reocrds from PSA and try to run transformation again or you need to change primary key of your DSO to fit PSA data.
Thank you,
Regards,

FU STATUS_OBJECT_CREATE
Short Text
Create Status Object
Functionality
The function module generates a status object.
Take the object number from the object number management (function modules OBJECT_NUMNBER_GET_xx).
If no object number is given, the module takes a temporary object number that must be replaced later (function module STATUS_OBJECT_SWITCH_NUMBER).
Example
Creating an internal order with number 100123 (object type "ORC") for status profile "STATSCHEM" with final object number
call function 'OBJECT_NUMBER_GET_OR'
exporting
aufnr = '100123'
importing objnr = objektnummer.
call function 'STATUS_OBJECT_CREATE'
exporting
objnr = objektnummer
obtyp = 'ORC'
stsma = 'STATSCHEM'.
commit work.
Creating the same order with a temporary object number
data: objectkey like ionra.
* TBO00-REFSTRUCT for object type 'OR' is 'IONRA'
objectkey-aufnr = '100123'.
call function 'STATUS_OBJECT_CREATE'
exporting
i_objectkey = objectkey
obtyp = 'ORC'
stsma = 'STATSCHEM'.
importing
objnr = objektnummer.
call function 'OBJECT_NUMBER_GET_OR'
exporting
aufnr = '100123'
importing objnr = objektnummer_neu.
call function 'STATUS_OBJECT_SWITCH_NUMBER'
exporting
objnr_old = objektnummer
objnr_new = objektnummer_neu.
commit work.

Dear Experts,
I have enhanced the extract structure of 2lis_13_vdkon in R/3 with 5 fields which are exist in transfer structure.
I have replicated the data source in BI but unfortunately i have not deleted the data in the PSA.
After replication when i try to activate the data source the system is giving Dump and im not able to see the PSA also.
Please help me out.
When i manage on the data source to c PSA, its giving error like this
Invalid DataStore object name 2LIS_13_VDKON_BB: Reason: No valid entry in table RSTS
The Dump when activating the data source is :
Runtime Errors SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
Exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Date and Time 03.06.2009 09:46:55
How to correct the error
Use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert only if you are sure that none of
the records passed already exists in the database.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB"
"CL_RSAR_PSA===================CP" or "CL_RSAR_PSA===================CM006"
"_UPDATE_DIRECTORY_TABLES"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
Regards
venuHi Venu,
The issue I think is the PSA was not deleted cleanly. If you try and activate the PSA you will get the dump again.
..Probably if you go through the ABAP dump you will notice it is pointing to the following code;-
75 * Put the fields of PSA to database without check, otherwise error by
76 * activation of table
77
78 IF p_psa_exists EQ rs_c_false OR
79 i_new_version EQ rs_c_true.
>>>>> INSERT rstsodsfield FROM TABLE l_t_odsfield.
81 ELSE.
82 DELETE FROM rstsodsfield
83 WHERE odsname = l_s_odsfield-odsname
84 AND version = l_s_odsfield-version.
85 MODIFY rstsodsfield FROM TABLE l_t_odsfield.
Put a breakpoint in the code in line 78. and activate the DS..the program should stop in 78...change the value of variable rc_c_false so that line 82 gets executed. This will clean up the PSA entries in table rstsodsfield. Now activate the DS and delete the PSA entries in the PSA table.
We faced the same issue and resolved it this way.
Thanks

another error message: cannot upload file from source.
I think this error come out because
1. I do UJBR from my local C DRIVE, failed. then
2. I do it again UJBR, it gave me this error because system open the file but did not close the file before I made second try.
if I restart my PC, I do not have this "cannot upload file from source" error, I continue to have other types of error.
last night, I got short dump in ST22 SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
at method UPDATE_DATA_MANAGER_DATA
Now update DB tables
DELETE FROM ujd_instruction2 WHERE appset_id = d_appset_id.

okay. I see OSS 1560436 might be related to my situation. I do see probablity appset having this parameter setup, that's why I got error for this appset.
will close this message if this fixes my issue.the OSS note did fix this issue. the source system, BPC admin screen, in appset or application, if the check box for BO integration is checked, it will have this problem unless we apply the OSS notes correction.

Runtime Errors SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
Exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Date and Time 06.02.2012 20:48:12
Short text
The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records.
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLGLIU" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
in
procedure "INS_FAGLFLEXA" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
