Save Header/Footer & Print Settings

I've created a template in MS Project 2013.  I want to have settings saved for future print options so I don't have to go through the entire process each time.
What I want done:
-Added logo from file, resized to fit and view properly
-Change the text of the header from default to the Project Name and Last Saved Date
-Adjust legend to remove unused icons
-Change footer to include who prepared the schedule and when
-Change footer to add total page number and align to right
After I have gone through this process and saved the template how I want it to look, I reopen and all of these settings are gone.  I'm not sure if I missed something along the way, or these settings would require some sort of macro to make the adjustments
each time.  I want to set up certain views so they are print ready based on my custom settings becoming the new default, rather than the software settings defaults that were preset.
Any ideas on how to move forward?
Thanks in advance.

Tim,
First of all do you have SP1 installed? If not, install it. I don't see anything listed in the updates since SP1 so that probably isn't important but SP1 is important.
When you set parameters in Page Setup they are saved with the file, including when a file is saved as a template. I did a quick test, (using Project 2010), and did a Save As to a Project template directly from the Print window (i.e. after I adjusted page
setup settings). I closed and re-opened the template file and all the customized page setup settings were present. Project 2010 and Project 2013 should operate that same way.

  • How can I get Acrobat to save my recent print settings?

    Hi there,
    Setup:
    Mac OSX 10.7.3
    Acrobat X 10.1.2
    Having recently upgraded to the most recent Acrobat pro I seem unable to save my most recent print settings. Previosuly, when I setup a page to be, for example, A2 landscape with some specific printer settings, it would then present these same settings when I went to print the same document or another open document. Now, in 10, I can setup the page settings and print settings, print a document, and then when I try and print again it has defaulted to the default page setup (A4 portrait) and default print settings.
    This is SO infuriating that I am hoping it is a bug (fixable?) and not just a massive failure of the software.
    Thanks for any advice/help.

    I'm not sure (since I always print to the same size), but try this:
    Click the Page Setup button at the bottom of the dialog. Ignore the warning screen. Set up the Page Setup in Mac OS X the way you like. At the top, choose Settings and select Save as Default. Then click OK.
    Click the Printer button at the bottom of the dialog. Ignore the warning screen. Set up the Print settings in the way you like using the popup menu which initially shows Layout. Then choose Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset. Then click OK.

  • How do I change header/footer print options for font, font size, and color?

    I know how to change the text for web page print of footers/headers. I can see no option to change font, font color, or font size (such as available on IE). I want to change the font, font color and font size of the footer/header when I print a web page. I read the FAQs, found nothing that seems to fit. Can you assist? or is this option available on Mozilla. I have the latest/greatest version (set to auto update).

    OK, my question was about how to change font/color in headers/footers... This suggestion changes the font/color in the text, but NOT in the footers, unless I want everything in the same font/color. I need footers/headers in RED BOLD. I can do this on IE, but there does not seem to be an option for Mozilla.

  • Print Option: temporarily no header/footer

    Is there an Add-on that adds an option to temporarily disable printing of header/footer (as in Opera and Chrome by checking or unchecking the header/footer option)?
    If you only sometimes want to print without header/footer you have to go through several steps to manually disable and later again to enable header/footer (Print > Page Setup: Margins & Header/Footer and set all fields to blank and later back to their previous values). Obviously, this is not really user friendly.

    Thanks. I had a look at both of them. Both require you to code such a button yourself. I could not find any ready code sample that I could use (anyway I would not have the necessary knowledge to adapt the code). PrefBar offers preconfigured buttons but none solves my problem. The "Printing" button gives you just a quicker way to access Page Setup (instead of going via Firefox menu). You still have to manually disable and later again to enable header/footer. Even if you clone and rename the "Printing" button, your changes to header/footer always affect Page Setup of your clone and the original "Printing" button.
    Unfortunately, a solution is still pending.

  • Saving Printer Settings

    I have been printing from Lightroom 2.3 to my Epson photo printer and am happy with the results.  I use the same settings all the time except to switch from portrait to landscape as appropriate.  But everytime I start a new Lightroom Print session I have to choose the printer, choose the page size, choose the quality, etc.
    Isn't there a way to save these settings so they are automatically available when I got to print from Lightroom?

    Yes, get everything set up the way you want.  Then in Print module, scroll the left column to the top where it says Template Browser.  Click the + sign to the right of "Template Browser" and you can Create a new template-- give it a descriptive name that's unique to your formatting-- which will appear below in the User Templates area when you hit the Create button to save it there.  It should save both the printer settings you have created for this print job (by clicking the Page Setup button at the bottom of the left column in Print module) and all the Lightroom print settings you've established in the right column.  At least it works in mine, with 2.3, XP, and a Canon printer.  But before counting on it and queueing up a 200 sheet print job  ,  verify this for your setup by loading a different template with different printer and Lightroom settings and then clicking on your saved User Template and checking each of the settings for the printer and for Lightroom to make sure it's still using the right ones.

  • Print Settings Problem

    Aperture does not seem to save my Print Settings... I'll press the Print Settings button, select my printer, choose a preset, set the Quality and Media setting, and then click "Done." If I re-click the Print Settings button immediately afterward, everything has re-set to the default choices. I have yet to get a decent print from Aperture.... Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks for the help, but I'm still not able to save a preset. After I hit the "done" button in the print settings, everything goes back to "Standard" in the Print Settings dialog box. So if I go to the Aperture Presets and hit "Save as" it just saves the default print settings. Here's what happens when I try to print a photo: I select a photo, press command+P for the Print dialog box; I set the number of copies and then click on "Printer" in Printer Selection, I choose a printer, and then click "Print Settings;" I choose the options I want from the "Presets" drop-down menu and then click "Done." I assume that when I click the "Done" button, all of the selections I just made in Presets are held while I print. But that does not seem to be the case. If I go right back and look at my Print Settings, the Presets box says "Standard" again. Very frustrating!! What am I doing wrong!!!

  • Print header/footer template bug?

    Using:
    Win 7 Ultimate
    Primavera P6 Professional R8.2
    Release: 8.2.0
    ID#:1926
    I cannot type an "s" in the print header/footer template, because it causes the cursor to exit the text editor and highlight the Show Section Divider Lines checkbox. Anyone else?
    Dario

    I use Win7 also, and had the same issue with non working 'S' key. It was driving me crazy.
    The solution mentioned above seems to work. You go into the HTML text (button) settings and then without changing any text settings you immediately go straight back out of the HTML settings. You then enter or paste in your text into teh footer.
    Note that I have also experienced this same issue in the header.
    However, has anyone heard of a permanent fix on this yet ?

  • How to set and save Custom Print Settings in Aperture?

    How to set and save Custom Print Settings in Aperture
    Hi,
    I am printing 12x18" images on 13x19" sheets. I find it difficult to enter the 13x19" dimensions because each value jumps to another random value when I move to enter the second dimension. For instance 13 jumps to, say, 8.5 as I type 19 into the second box. Same with the sheet dimensions.
    Also, when I finally get it all correctly, the margins don't set themselves automatically - which I would I expect.
    Then, even though I save the setting by clicking Save Setting at the gear below, next time I turn Aperture on, it's all gone.
    Any ideas? Thanks.
    Raphael

    For me, it is working with these settings, Raphael.
    Does your image have a 12x18" aspect ratio? You may want to crop it to the desired aspect ratio before printing.
    I can only test with Aperture 3.6 on Yosemite 10.1.

  • Can you save print settings with a PDF?

    I have an 8.5"x14" PDF. Is there anyway to save default print settings with this PDF so if a user opens it on their machine it defaults to printing to 8.5"x14" paper? Right now it always defaults to the standard 8.5"x11". I'm not sure this can be done because it seems like more of a specific users machine thing. I don't think you can save print settings with a PDF can you?
    Thanks!

    The "auto-formatting" of a hardcopy print format is generally the realm of the output device, in this case the printer. Printer software gereally includes an auto-format feature that selects the proper bin. For those who only have a "letter" tray, it usually asks to feed the right format manually, or switch trays. This is not a PDF feature but an output device feature.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to suppress page header when group footer prints

    I would like to suppress the page header on my report when a group footer prints.  My group footer is going to be a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo and I'm going to have it do a page break before so it prints on it's own page.  I do not want my page header info printing on this page.
    Is there a way to do this?  I am on Crystal XI.  Thank you in advance.

    I haven't tested this, but...
    Formula @InGroupHeader:
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    BooleanVar InGroupFooter;
    InGroupFooter = False;
    Formula @InGroupFooter:
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    BooleanVar InGroupFooter;
    InGroupFooter = True;
    PageHeader.Suppress:
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    BooleanVar InGroupFooter;
    InGroupFooter;
    Edit: I think I like Graham's solution better, actually.

  • How to Modify the Header/Footer that's created when printing to PDF?

    Hi all,
    How do I modify the header/footer that is added when I use the Adobe PDF printer in another application, like MS Word? Currently it adds the entire path of the file as the header, which is really annoying.
    I'm not talking about the Header/Footer command in Acrobat's "Document" menu. In fact, that command doesn't even recognise the header that's generated by the Adobe PDF printer.
    I'm using Acrobat Pro 8.1.3, btw.
    Thanks :)

    Generally you should set the whole look of the page in your application and then print to the Adobe PDF printer as you have been doing. If you are using a browser, there are header and footer commands for the printer that are typically set by the browser - those can be modified there. The PDF should look just like the preview in the application, that is the point of a PDF.

  • Is there a way to save and export/import Adobe Reader X printer settings?

    I would like to setup printer settings to a specific paper size and other print settings and have several different print profiles that can easily be loaded instead of adjusting settings every time. Then if possible I'd like to be able to save all of them and then load them onto a separate computer running Adobe Reader. Basically I am looking for the functionality that the InDesign print dialogue provides.

    We don't have that functionality in the Acrobat Family. InDesign uses the print system from Creative Suite, Acrobat and Adobe Reader do not.

  • AI CC 2014.1.1 (18.1.1) no longer saves print settings

    Recently, and for as long as I can remember, AI saved print settings with the document. Now this no longer seems to be the case. One must manually set EACH print setting prior to printing, even previously saved documents.  :-(  This used to save a lot of time, but now requires extra time to re-set up each doc for printing, EACH TIME it is printed.
    Bummer.
    If there's a way around this situation, I'm all ears.  :+)
