Save image to camera roll with specified file name or get the file name
I am saving an image to camera roll but don't see an option to save the file using a custom name. Is it possible to do so? or is it possible to get the name of the file saved?
Ensure you have set the correct capability in your app to save the picture with the exact name you specified.
You can try the code below to iterate through all pictures in the cameraroll album and find out if the name exists.

Reading csv file how to get the Column name

I am trying to read a csv file and then save the data to Oracle.

My csv file looks like this:

Now is there anyway using the above code I start processing the file from the second row that holds the names of the columns and skip the first row. And also can I get the name of the column using ResultSet something like:
if columnName.equals("Number")
Because I may have a csv file that could have more columns:
"CHAM-24","COMPANY NAME","Test","12",20031213,16,76
Number,Environ,Envel,Date,Time,Total,Count
"1","2","3","4","5",3,9

So I want to get the column name and then based on that column I do some other processing.
Once I read the value of each row I want to save the data to an Oracle Table. How do I connect to Oracle from my Application. As the database is on the server. Any help is really appreciated. ThanksThe only thing I could think of (and this is a cluj) would be to attempt to parse the first element of each row as a number. If it fails, you do not have a column name row. You are counting on the fact that you will never have a column name that is a number in the first position.
However, I agree that not always placing the headers in the same location is asking for trouble. If you have control over the file, format it how you want. If someone else has control over the file, find out why they are doing it that way. Maybe there is a "magic" number in the first row telling you where to jump.
Also, I would not use ODBC to simply parse a CSV file. If the file is formatted identically to Microsoft's format (headers in first row, all subsequent rows have same number of columns), then it's fine to take a shortcut and not write your own parser. But if the file is not adhering to that format, don't both using the M$ ODBC driver.

Why I cannot save image to camera roll after updated iOS 8.3 ?
My iPhone6 was updated iOS 8.3 last Friday (2015/04/10) morning.
After updated I found my iPhone sometimes cannot save image from any applications.
At first it cannot save pic from Twitter and Tweetlogix. They said I had to change setting in Seeting>Privacy>Image and click allow button to save pic. After I did that it still didn't work, so I had to restart my iPhone and wait for 5-10 minutes to save pic.
Not only saving pic from apps, but it cannot saving after taking pic too.
I think iOS 8.3 is not stable. Tap Camera Roll.
Confirm or change the photos you want to share by tapping an option.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
To use your photo in another app, open the app and select the Camera Roll album. -
Save (or Sync) Camera Roll from iPhone to my "My Pictures" on my computer.
I had some issues with the 2.0.1 update and had to restore my iPhone from a different computer. Then I hooked my iPhone backup to my main computer and was going to restore from my backup, however, iTunes immediatly performed a backup of my iPhone (Newly Restored) so I lost my settings.
I have taken a lot of photos on my iPhone and now lost all of them except for the ones I've emailed or sent to MobileMe. I must say that it is a bit of a pain if I have to send each picture to MobileMe one at a time.
Is there a way when I sync my iPhone that it will automatically write the photos on cameral roll to a folder I specify in "My Pictures" on my computer? If not, this should be something that is included in a next update.
Also, I would like the ability to send multiple photos in an email.
Thanks!This is an issue I've had myself. It is rather irritating that I can sync up other photos from my computer TO my iPhone, but not anything in the Camera Roll folder. Ive read the argument that the phone is being treated as a digital camera in this case and that adding functionality to a program isn't all that easy, but I really don't buy either of these arguments in this case.
For one thing, iTunes already knows how to sync jpeg photos between my computer and my PC. I can put any folder containing jpeg images ONTO my iPhone through the sync mechanism in iTunes. The iPhone is saving the images as jpegs in the Camera Roll folder (I'm extrapolating this by virtue of the fact that when I email an image from Camera Roll, it attaches a jpeg image). By extension, it should just be a matter of making the Camera Roll folder accessible from the Photos sync. Camera data is usually stored in the tags of a file, which shouldn't be lost when transferring files back and forth. And if it is, just give me a little warning and let me choose.
So, as far as I'm concerned, iTunes already knows how to do this. Why is the functionality not included? I am able to use Windows Explorer to copy files like I would from any digital camera, but why should I have to do that when iTunes syncs everything else. -
IPHONE 5: Saving images to camera roll from an email results in a black image
I have emailed myself a couple images (medium res .jpgs) and when I open the email the colors are overly bright. When I then go to save them, they save as a very dark black image with a little bit of a blue outline of the image. Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance!
PS these images are illustrations I have made in illustrator/photoshop. Not sure if that matters though.Depending on the format of the video you may or may not be able to do this.
If its a supported format, like m4v or similar, you can tap and hold on the icon in the email and a box with options should pop up. One of them being "Save Video". This will save the video to the camera roll.
If you don't have the "Save Video " option you will not be able to save it your camera roll, but still might be able to save it to an App that can play the video by tapping the icon for the App in that same screen. -
I am batch processing in PS 2014 (watermark and saving as jpeg from ps file). I get the message for some but not all 'this file needs to be saved as a copy with this option'. And then I have to save it manually. Does anyone know why this happens? (It is just a plain photoshop file, a watermark is added, then save as jpeg - the jpeg is saved to a different folder than the original photoshop file.) It happens for about 10 of 30/40 files approximately . Thank you, Kathryn

Photos in the camera roll of "iPhone cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode. Tried just about everything - suggestions?
Because your computer sees your phone, as it would see any digital camera, as long as you have photos in your camera role. Since you state you don't sync with this computer & have a passcode on your phone, that's why you get that message. The only way to prevent that message is either start syncing with this computer; remove the photos from your camera roll prior to connecting; or first turn off your passcode before you connect. Either that, or you live with it.
You shouldn't be storing photos in your camera roll anyway. iPhone camera roll is not designed for photo storage. You should be regularly importing them. -
I have had my iPhone for about a year, and I have a photo file from my old blackberry. When I go to back up my photos, it only backs up the camera roll. How do I back up the other album? The laptop where I had those photos broke, please can someone help.

I backed up my iPhone onto iCloud, and now any new pictures I take don't save in my camera roll. And when I try to open the photo app it turns white and eventually it closes out of the app.

You do understand though, that if something happened to your phone - if you lost it, if it were stolen, if you dropped it and were unable to access it, if it got wet - all those pictures that you had not transferred to your computer would no longer be so "handy." Just saying, I have not only read that horror story from many users on this forum, but have seen it live from many users in my own life. Do yourself a favor and back them up sooner rather than later by transferring them all now. Trust me on this, you won't regret it.
