Save result of ODM functions in Table

I build a model like clustering via k-means in ODM. I need to save cluster number in table. how I can?
and can I set this building for running automatically any week?

If you want to store the results in a table, create a 'Create table' node. Connect the cluster apply node to this 'Create table' node. Make sure to include the PK attribute in the output, in addition to the attributes created by the cluster algorithm. Then everything you need will be in the table.
If you right click the Apply node there is a Deploy option on the drop down menu. Select this and save to clipboard. Open something like Notepad and paste. You will get some of the code necessary to run the clustering. You will need to do some editing of this code to make it run automatically.

    EDIT: I found out that you can use xdofx:if, but you cannot break out of the tag to do formatting. It has to be in the following syntax:

    Would be nice if you could:
    <?xdofx:if x=1 then?> output <? else ?> <? end if ?>

    With this query I want get col1 from SET and compare it to the column Region from Customer. I would like to get the matching CustomerKey for it.
    After execution it says commands are executed successfully. But I want to save the result from @query in another table. I looked it up and most people say to use sp_executesql. I tried a few constructions as sampled and I would always get this error: 
    Msg 214, Level 16, State 2, Procedure sp_executesql, Line 12
    Procedure expects parameter '@statement' of type 'ntext/nchar/nvarchar'.
    So the output should be a list of CustomerKeys in another table.
    How can I save the results from EXECUTE into a variable? Then I assume I can INSERT INTO - SELECT in another table.

  • Using the result of a function, inside a subselect

    Hi!
    I´m wondering if it´s possible to use the result of a function inside a subselect. Let me give you an example of what I´m trying to do here:
    select * from t_node where node_pk in (get_node_parents_pk(22345));
    The function get_node_parents_pk stands in for the following SELECT-statment:
    select node_pk from t_node_child where parent_node_pk = 12345
    The statement above would return something like this: 12435,23423,23453,23452
    These values represent the node_pk value for the parent nodes.
    I want the get_node_parents_pk function to return a result set similar to this so that I might call it inside the IN ( ) statement.
    Any clue? =)

    I created a collection type in the database:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE nodes_pk_arr IS TABLE OF INTEGER;
    The function get_node_parents_pk () is made to return the collection type above. However, this does not work. I get the following error message:

    WHERE node_pk IN
    (SELECT * FROM TABLE (get_node_parents_pk (22345)));
    ORA-22905: cannot access rows from a non-nested table item
    However, if I insert a nodes_pk_arr collection directly into the SQL-statement, like I do below, it works:

    FROM t_node
    WHERE node_pk IN
    (SELECT * FROM TABLE (nodes_pk_arr(24564,23545,34523));
    So, when returning the collection from the function I´m told that the collection is not a nested table, when in fact it is. What gives?
    Also, is there no way to return a result set directly from the get_node_parents_pk() function, making it possible to write the statement like that shown below?
    SELECT *
    FROM t_node
    WHERE node_pk IN (get_node_parents_pk (22345));

    In this specific report ran above the offending sql uses a CTE.
    I am on 11.1.1.6.1, Windows Server 2008
    Currently in testing phase in migration from 10g.
    I know what the error means, just not how to resolve it or what setting may be causing this.

    In Physical layer, go to specific database(Physical layer's) properties, database features tab -> Un check the EXPRESSION_IN_ORDERBY_SUPPORTED.
    For that failed report, go to Answers-> advance tab-> Look for 'Advanced SQL Clauses'
    Check this box to issue an explicit Select Distinct

    I did a prototype to do what you are asking. I actually haven't inserted into the xml data type in SQL Server before, so I was curious if that added any complexity. I'll just go through the mapping pieces and assume that you can easily find documentation
    on how to insert data into SQL Server using the Add Generated Items --> Consume Adapter Service function.
    The interesting piece was writing the map. I used a simple PO schema. My sample table was XmlRepository with a ID column, RepositoryID, and the RawXml field.
    The script is an inline XSLT script that is as follows:

    The questoin right off is why the CDATA? Well, since the value of the RawXml element that needs to be inserted into SQL Server is XML data, it has to be wrapped in a CDATA tag. Otherwise, the XML data gets validated and will not properly make it to the SQL
    Server. You can try it and see what I mean. Don't worry, the CDATA gets stripped before the XML gets written to the table.
    The interesting piece are the xsl:text elements, which manually create a CDATA wrapper for the XML that ends up in the RawXml field. Apparently, the normal Grid Property for creating CDATA output doesn't work in conjunction with the xsl:copy-of function.
    That tripped me up for a while!
    What the map outputs is a document that looks like the following:

    The map can be called from a simple Orchestration, or even a messaging-only scenario, and sent across the wire in a request/reply as you would for normally sending data to SQL Server.
    I hope this helps. It ended up being more interesting than I expected!

    checkbox for Save Results Layout
    what does the Save Results Layout actually do ? I do not see any visual difference with that flag on/off

    (I'm guessing) - when you re-order the columns in the results table - that checkbox would save the re-ordering.
    You may know: in the current release, saved searches only persist for the session - you need MDS (which is supposed to be in the next release) to permanently persist them.

    Example of exceptions:

    PLS-00382: expression is of wrong type - used as result from stored function
    So, my question is: Is possible return this table type from stored procedure or function? And if YES, how can I set output argument for call?

    Your question is: what is faster PL/SQL or PL/SQL? And the answer is: it is PL/SQL of course!
    As a general rule, you use a function when you return exactly one result: a number or a string or (more complex) instance of an object type or REF CURSOR or PL/SQL collection.
    You use a procedure when:
    a) you just do the job and return no result
    b) you return multiple results - you can use multiple IN/OUT or OUT parameters
    Imagine you have to write a program unit that performs a partitioned table maintenance by adding a partition.
    You can implement this unit:
    a) if you want return a "status code" (0 on successful completion or non-zero in case of error) then you should use a function
    b) if you want no "status code" (in case of error an exception is raised that is handled outside of the program unit) then you should use a procedure
    c) if you want "status code", name of tablespace where a partition was created (assume you program is so complex that it can choose different tablespaces based on metadata and free space available) and free space in that tablespace after the creation of a new partition then you should use a procedure with 3 OUT parameters.
    But these are good programming practices that can be applied to (almost) any 3rd generation programming language, not only PL/SQL.

    I need to extend pl/sql APIs (e.g. EGO_ITEM_PUB.PROCESS_ITEM) as well as save item/eco/bom functionality executed in the EBS application forms...
    Furthermore, is there any database mechanism for tracking all currently created/updated items/ecos/boms?

    It will help if you describe what you are trying to do but in general, you can
    1) Using the Alert Manager responsibility, you can write an event alert that fires when a record is inserted in the Item table or BOM table.
    2) Using the Alert Manager responsibility, you can write a periodic alert that fires and processes records that were created since the last run.
    3) You can write a after-insert trigger on the tables.
    You can use the alert mechanism to track recently created/updated records.
    If you want more extensive functionality, you can use the auditing functionality in EBS.

    Hi,
    new table holds the "new" loaded data in ODS. If you start a new request to load data in your ODS, it firstgoes to table new data. Then you normally activate data either manually or by process chain. Then the daa will be copied over from new to active table. The change log table holds the delta information, what will change during activation or which records will be overwritten with new data or which data is new at all.
    With recordmode you can specify which update mode will be used or more excalty which delta mode will be used. SID is necessary for master data, because ODS will only hold the SID values of the used characteristivcs and not the characteristic values itselfs. It's part of normalization used in BI.

    I need to hide the Save Results Layout checkbox on the Create Saved Search popup. Can anyone tell me how to do it?
    This popup is used when the user is on a query (rendered by the af:query component) and they select click the "Save..." button. The have three options, Set as Default, Run Automatically, and Save Results Layout. I have an implementation that supports everything except saving the layout. So I need to hide that checkbox.
