Save Slice Sets, with differents arrangements

Hi this is my first post,
i think that photosop should allow users to define Slice Sets, where different slice    arrangements of a page can be saved and selected. Many web designers use    a single Photoshop file as the basis for several web pages, turning layers on    and off as appropriate for each web page. This has the advantage of keeping    all the design elements in one document, making site-wide changes simple and    consistent. But photoshop has no capabilities for saving different slice arrangements.
If different web pages need different slice arrangements, the designer is      forced to copy the Photoshop document and create a different set of slices.
If the user wants to experiment with different slice layouts, there is no      way to do this without destroying the previous slice arrangement.

Thats a number one feature that frustrates me every single day. In our production process for web or iPad or 'anything', each project's design is handled by a SINGLE mega-layered photoshop file carefully organized by folders. Each folder represents a different screen of the website or the application (many layers) bundled with every single interface element highlights.  This helps us maintain art perectly aligned through different screens at pixel level, while having a neat single reference .psd file valid for the whole project. THE ONLY SINGLE REFERENCE.
In that not so uncommon workflow, the ability to add special "SLICE LAYERS" to the 'Layer' window (i'm not talking about the nonsense rubbish and strictly limited 'New layer based slice' option accessible from the 'Layer' menu) would enable one to add a SLICE LAYER at any level of the 'Layers' window, show or hide it, modify its contained slices as required, and use it at will for export purposes, depending on the screen required.
I simply cannot imagine that Adobe and its famous interface design teams did not realize the urgency of that feature requirement. This is a shame. It U.R.G.E.S. The Web has more than 10 years now. Don't tell me this only hits the ground in 2010, i wont' believe you !
